Enough abbreviations for ya? wink

This game is a "2.5D" (3D graphics, 2D gameplay) space shooter for Xbox Live Arcade. In it, you can play as one of 8 different ships (4 Colonial, 4 Cylon) and, uhh, blow stuff up. razz

I played the demo on a friend's 360. It's pretty neat! It plays like Asteroids, kind of. smile This is fitting, because the new series Vipers move around using Newtonian physics, as in Asteroids. Thus, the gameplay feels just right!

The demo's pretty short- it starts out with a simple training mission where you have to destroy little drones (this gets you used to the controls), and then, "Frak! It's a Cylon Basestar!" So a bunch of Raiders swarm out of the Basestar, and you have to shoot them all down. The AI's pretty relentless, as it should be, and the enemies are just as strong and well-armed as you are- fortunately, you have wingmen to help you out! After you've destroyed a certain number of Raiders, the demo ends- short but sweet!

The full game has ten single-player missions, as well as an Instant Action mode and, of course, multiplayer. ^_^ I can see the multiplayer in this game being extremely fun, so I might think about getting this when I get a 360.

Right now, the only problem I have with it is the music- the songs try to mimic Bear's style with the taikos and ethereal sounds, but they just end up sounding generic/boring instead. Oh well.

As I said, I might think about getting this game. It's not particularly deep, but it's light, old-school fun, and I can really see myself whiling away the hours with it. ^_^
