Metropolis; The large city. Home to the semi nomadic Sanguine Syndicate. To the lone Modifoxes in the city, it is even less forgiving. For one from the forests it is strange and foreign. And always seems as if they are out for you.
The city is an unforgiving place for those who don't know how to deal with it. Looking back Altairus wonders for a moment how he ever learned without any help as he looks around cautiously for his mirror.
"Nova! Where are you?" He asks aloud as if talking to himself. He stalks cautiously around into the alley and looks around. Flicking the black end of his tail up at a trashcan lid, making it clatter to the ground loudly.

 Nova trots through the alleyways of the city, stopping frequently to examine a interesting object or scent, or perking his ears to better hear a strange sound. This place was so different from the forests, and he was eager to examine all it had to offer.
Then he paused, his alert ears catching a more familiar sound. Grinning at the familiar voice, he turned and bounded towards its source. "Hey, Altarius!" he called as he rounded a corner and spotted his twin. "I've been wondering where you were."

"Shhh! We're not exactly in your territory here. Humans aren't always friendly." Altairus lifts one white striped ear and listens for a moment. "Plus the Sanguine Syndicate has this territory here, we're not exactly members. They have a constantly changing territory."
Altairus looks over at his brother as he strokes down his patch of white fur on his head with one paw. "Why are you here anyway?"

"I'm here because this place is so interesting! I just had to look around." Despite the excitement in his voice, he did lower its volume. "There's so much to see and smell and hear. And I bet I could outrun any of the humans, if I didn;t hear them coming first. As for the Syndicate, I'm not harming anything, and I'm really just passing through. I just want a little while to have fun here." As he spoke, he looked around, wondering where to go next.

Altairus sighs, shaking his head at his brother's incorrigible attitude. "Well, if you must."Altairus stalks quietly around the corner, "Follow me." He sets off at a quick trot, "I'll show you to the best human places. Just keep quiet."

Nova blinked for a moment, a bit surprised, before trotting after his brother. He had almost expected his twin to try to drag him back to the forest. This was much better; not only could he keep exploring the city, he had company now. And if they did run into trouble, the two of them together could handle it better than just himself alone.
Falling in step next to his brother, he asks, "So where are we going first?"

"To the ampitheator, the acoustics there are very entertaining. Then we're going to the the chinese resteraunt to swipe their food." Altairus says quietly. He shakes his head as he jogs, 'incorrigible.' he whispers.

"Sounds fun," Nova said, grinning. He noticed his brother's expression, but only grinned wider. He didn't care what Altarius thought of the trip, as long as he accompanied him. His twin was even leading him, and not really complaining. Nova could, and did, easily ignore a head shade and whispered word, and therefore discounted them. He looked around cheerfully, wondering when they'd get to the ampitheater.

Altairus sighs a bit, shaking his white bangs into his eyes. He shakes them back out of his face briskly as he says "The sound at the amphitheater is awesome. You can whisper something and hear it come back to you at normal volume." Altairus begins to show some of his own excitement by returning his voice to a normal volume and walking a little more normally. "And the chinese place has some of the best food around! The crab cakes are to die for!" Altairus licks his chops as he thinks ahead. But despite his excitement, his guard is up and his eyes scan the enviroment actively.

Nova caught the change in Altarius's voice and movement. And now his twin was even warming up to the adventure. Satisfaction added a bounce to his step as he continued through the streets and alleys.
Then a thought occured to him. "Hey, how'd you find out about these places? Have you been coming to the city without me?" The last sentance was spoken in a half-joking hurt tone.

Orion cautiously peered from a dark alleyway out into the streets. He wasn't used to this kind of terrain and felt awkward and out of place. How had he come to this noisy area in the first place? He sniffed the air, trying to catch any familiar scents, but the mixture of smells confused him and he couldn't tell what was what. He decided to stick to his secluded alley and explore behind the buildings a bit.
Jumping atop a row of steps, he peered over a small fence. He narrowed his eyes, trying to see better. He had thought he heard another Modifox somewhere around here.

"are you telling me you never noticed my leaving the forests for weeks at a time? I am unbelivably hurt!" Altairus says with a hint of sarcasm, then he stops, his entire body taut. "Shhh!" He hisses at his brother, not noticing if his brother said anything or not. Altairus sniffs the air delicately, seeming to note something out of the ordinary.
"I Know you are out there, show yourself, fellow Modifox!" Altairus shouts, easily scaring neaby small animals into hiding.

Orion heard a voice that he assumed was speaking to him. He gracefully jumped down from his perch. A little ways in front of him stood two foxes. They looked the same only inverted opposites. Orion bowed in greeting. "I'm Orion."

As the new modifox jumped down in front of them, Nova tilted his hsead in curiosity, noticing that his coat was pure white and black, like Nova's and his brother's. In fact, after glancing between his own coat and Orion's, he noticed that some of the markings were similar to his own. Cool!
"Hi there. I'm Nova," he responded. "Hey, your coat looks cool. It almost looks like you could be our cousin or something!"
