Kicheko was happy today! Well.. she was happy everyday, but today she felt energized and excited. There was nothing different about her morning, but she had a feeling that the day would be a good one. It was nice and bright outside, and she had begged her mother the night before to let her wander off on her own for this day in particular. Thank goodness it wasn't raining, and her adventurous plans could resume on schedule!
There was something about being off on one's own that was thrilling, and Kicheko was grinning as she pounced, and giggled at any strange sights she saw. The grass felt itchy at her paws, but she couldn't complain at that. It just added on to the thrill of noticing such little things when her mother wasn't watching.
Stopping herself suddenly at a grove of flowers, the bright female rolled herself forward until she was in the middle of many bright colors. There were lots of flies that swarmed around her, but she ignored them since the flowers were so pretty. Ironically, she wasn't THAT far from her mother, but it had felt that way since she was finally by herself! Letting her nose then sniff at the flowers was amazing, and she coiled her tail around in delight of her new discoveries. Why hadn't she found flowers sooner? They were awesome!

Akasha could admire flowers, herself. Sure, she was kinda mean sometimes, but flowers were awesome. They could make a girl extra pretty, and Kashi liked that. It was something that she would never tell her sibilings, though. They always spent so much time trying to be the better then each other, that she didn't get to spend much time being really girly. She was more of a tomboy then anything, but that didn't mean she always wanted to be that way.
She had noticed the big group of flowers before, but only today had managed to escape her family to do a little adventurin'. And one of the first things that she wanted to do was check out this pile of flowers. Juuust in case there was anything pretty there. So it was certainly surprising when she saw another cub there, rolling in them all!
"Hey! What're you doing?" the cub questioned, not harshly, just very surprised. She was ruining some of these flowers! Maybe they did smell nice, but that didn't mean she should ruin some of the really pretty ones just for that!

Kicheko froze at the sound of another voice, and she moved her eyes about until a bright purple female was in her gaze. Another cub?! How awesome was that! From the other gal's tone, Kicheko noticed that she seemed very concerned with what she was doing. Stopping all of her movements, Kicheko then looked down and around her. "Did.. did I do something bad?" She then asked, with a quirky grin. She tended to be pretty reckless when she wasn't paying attention, so she wasn't that shocked that she was being called out. Getting in trouble was her forte, afterall.
Moving herself off of some flowers, Kicheko shook her body and gleamed at the female. "Hi!" she then said, while moving closer to the cub. "Again I am sorry, I guess I got too excited from all of the pretty flowers. I'll try not to do it again.." Pucking her lip, the female nodded frantically and hoped that this gal would soon forgive her.
"My name is Kicheko!" she then shouted, before realizing how loud she was. "What's your name??" Changing to a softer voice, she continued to smile and shuffle back and forth on her paws. Her day just got better! This was the first lion she had ever met outside of her family!

Kashi was curious. She apologized so quickly? Unheard of! At least in her own family of brats. The cub's black tail swished behind her, brushing up against some of the smaller flowers, as she was still on the outskirts of the flower bed. She wanted to walk through it sorta carefully, though she didn't think that it would really be worth it anymore.
"Huh? But, when you roll like that recklessly, you ruin the flowers for everyone else!" the purple cub explained, hoping she'd understand why Kashi didn't like it. It wasn't like she had to listen to her, but hey, didn't hurt to try. Kashi knew better then to really try and boss around strangers. Her mom had seen to that.
"I'm Akasha, but call me Kashi!" she replied with a smile. Though this Kicheko was a little odd, she kind of liked her already. At least she seemed truthful. That was something that the cub had problems with, since her sibilings just seemed to not bother with that detail to anyone but when they were ratting each other out to their parents.

Kicheko nodded quickly to the cub, understanding her own recklessness. "So, I should be careful then when walking around flowers or any plants? Alright, I got it then." Feeling confident now that she had worked out her error, she bounced around the other cub, while reciting her name in her head multiple times. Kashi was a fun nickname, since it started with a K.
"Its nice to meet you! You are the first cub I have met outside my family. They really can get so boring sometimes." Giggling to herself, she gleamed at the darker cub and was overly excited as usual. Everything was always so exciting for her, and she couldn't contain herself.
"Do you have any siblings and stuff? I have a brother and sisters. They aren't as energetic as I am, and your darker coloring reminds me of them." Pausing for a second, she widened her smile and curled around. "I am the oddball, having very light coloring. They all have mostly darker colorings like you!"

Kashi was a little alarmed that this girl was so hyper, jumping all over the place. What was she so excited for? She really didn't know, but the black striped cub couldn't help but smile at the pale one's antics. Kashi plopped herself down where she was, a little puff of flower petals flew off the ground, drifting down around the two slowly.
Kashi had met other cubs before, around the Pridelands, which wasn't tooo far away, so she wasn't matching in glee was Kicheko was, but it was still nice to see someone else. Especially a girl, and not a stupid boy.
"Yeah, I have one brother and two sisters. My brother is just stupid, and my sisters are kinda bratty, so that's why I go hide from them for the day." She was exaggerating, but only a bit about her sibilings. She could of said much meaner things, but she felt that it would be right...to say those to Kicheko. "But they're okay, fun to wrestle with when they want to play."
Her head tilted to the side, Kashi was a bit confused on this 'oddball' thing having to do with colouring. Did that make her one? She was the only one that had full stripes like her dad, but she was certainly a darker colour then him. "Oddball?" she asked, hoping for a meaning, or clarification.

"How funny, I escaped my family today too! Usually they just lounge around, and they never want to do anything exciting." With a chuckle, she continued to stare at the stripes on Kashi's body. They really were pretty, but she was brought into the conversation by Kashi's question. "Oddball is just a sillier way of saying different." She then concluded, with a light nod. "I call myself that a lot, since I can be really random compared to my other family members."
Kicheko was easily distracted, and after she finished speaking, she let her eyes trail on quite a few bees that were buzzing around her. Her head started spinning from side to side, and she quickly brought them back on the female before spacing out too much.
"Jeez, these bugs must be angry that I was all over their flowers.." Still lowering her eyes a bit, she wondered if she could get away with pouncing on a bee. "My mother told me to stay away from bees, since apparently they sting.." Shuddering dramatically, she looked towards Kashi with a wide grin. "But anyways, where you planning on going today, now that you are away from your family?"

Kashi didn't really notice the bees buzzing around until Kicheko pointed them out. Eeek! She took a step back away from the palecub, hoping that they wouldn't come after her, because it certainly wasn't her fault that their flowers were all crushed in one certain area. They didn't seem too aggressive, though, and so Kashi soon settled back into her regular position.
"Aaactually," she started, swaying shyly a bit. "I don't know what to do. I don't usually get to escape my family, so I...really don't know what to do." The sky blue eyes of the dark cub looked around, watching a couple of the bees start to fly off to some of the other flowers. Good.
"Do you usually just roll around in flowers when you're alone?" Kashi realized that she really wasn't alone a lot, since she usually found someone else to bug when she went exploring. Better then sitting around bored, she guessed. Maybe if Kicheko did something neat, they could do it together!

Enjoying the cub's honesty, Kicheko giggled lightly and pondered the many questions and statements that Kashi made. What DID Kicheko do in her alone time, since she usually was very compulsive and last minute. Sometimes she really didn't do anything, but she was always having fun, and that was all that mattered!
"Well, I personally am a very random person, so I find the strangest things fun. Just like today, those flowers looked inviting, so I invited myself to roll around in them. Don't you ever get urges like that? It can be very fun!" Holding a wide grin, she nodded her head while pondering what she wanted to do with her day.
"I have never been this way actually, but I was planning on moving over that little hill over there, since I was wondering what could possibly be on the other side." Eying the smaller hill behind them, she then brought her eyes on Kashi and waved her eyebrows around playfully. "You interested in exploring over there with me? I can't promise that an ocean will be there or anything but, you never know until you explore!" Ah yes, the sheer words that usually made up Kicheko's lifestyle.

The dark cub gave a snort at Kicheko's first comments. "Not really. Only if the urge is to smack my brother around," she said honestly. Boys were just way too much for her, ick! Plus it was much more fun to mess around and be mean to them then just plain ol' ignore them, anyway.
Kashi couldn't help but laugh at her friend's antics. She made some funny faces, especially when she wanted to do something. "Okay, I'm up for that!" She wriggled herself down for a moment, tensing up her back legs before pouncing forward, as if she wanted to race. She actually didn't want to, but just wanted to see if Kicheko was paying attention to what Kashi was doing, or if she was more excited about the hill just over there. And besides, she could always claim that she was pouncing on a hopper!

Kicheko was grinning at Kashi's response, since she felt those kind of urges all the time. "Haha, I have smacked my brother around before, since he really can be soooo lazy. Its fun to pick on him. My sister not so much.. since she is pretty tough towards me." With a sigh, she then glanced at the female, who looked as though she was ready to move.
"Well, I am thankful for the company!" With a glee, she moved her body so that she was standing, and tilted her head at the females stretching and moving. Before Kicheko could think about it, Kashi was on the move!
Wringing herself around into position, Kicheko pounced herself forward, while her tongue hung out her mouth playfully. "Ah, looks as though you are ready to go." She tried to catch up with Kashi, but soon realized that the female's speed was hard to match! Did that mean they were racing? With a goofy snort, Kicheko tried hard to move her legs faster, so that she was soon at par with the female. "Man, you are fast! I am gonna be exhausted after this!"

Kashi soon slowed down, as the hill seemed to show up faster then she realized. Of course, once she slowed down a bit, she realized that the hill wasn't really that close at all. Oh no! Now she was certain to lose in this race! Even though Kashi had played tag a lot with her sibilings, she knew that she still probably would lose. Oh well!
The dark cub picked up her pace again, already feeling a bit of the bur in her legs as she just nearly made it now. She was so cluse to the crest of the hill, but she made a sloppy mistake and didn't pick her paw up all the way. With a squeak, the cub tumbled into a ball, rolling up the rest of the way in something that just looked like legs and a tail, sticking up around everywhere.
The cub pulled her head out of the wreakage of her body, giving it a good shake before peering around. Instead of freaking out about it though, the cub just gave a laugh. "That was fun!"

Kicheko keenly watched Kashi while running besides her, but then naturally stopped at the hills drop. The darker cub kept going, and before Kicheko could process what was happening to her friend, Kashi looked as though she was rolling in a ball!
All Kicheko could think was.. how FUN that looked! Lucky, lucky Kashi!
When the purple cub gave a recognition that the overall rolling action was fun, Kicheko strut her shoulders out and paused, before yelling, "Alright, I'm totally going!" Before she could make a true decision to herself, she rolled forward and plowed down the hill. She was moving so quickly that before she realized it, she was on her back and laughing! "You were so right Kashi, that was awesome!" With moving eyeballs, she tried to stand up, before finally falling on her stomach again. "Oh man.. dizzy.. dizzzy.."

Kashi laughed loudly at her friend, actually a bit surprised that she had decided to roll after her in her own way! Surprised too, since it wasn't the best feeling, just the whole getting your legs tangled up in a ball around your body and all. "Hahaha, wasn't it Kicheko?" She tried to pop herself up quickly, but then a blow of light-headedness hit her, and the cub stumbled to fall over on her side, nearly landing on her poor friend! Luckily, on her tail managed to hit her, and it wasn't as heavy as the rest of her body!
The cub lied there, her back on the ground facing upwards, as she looked up at the sky. Her lungs were screaming for a break, as the running, tumbling, and laughing seemed to push them past their limits.
"The sky...sure is pretty...huh, Kicheko?" she asked, staring up at the sparse clouds that covered the sky. Fluffy and white, and looking oh so soft.

It really was a pure moment of innocence and peace, and Kicheko and Kashi were panting on the ground, holding a comfortable silence between the two. Kicheko had heard Kashi respond about the sky, but she remained quiet while enjoying the comfort she held with the other cub. It was strange, how some things were just meant to be enjoyable like that. After many seconds passed, she felt her voice return to its comfortable and loud sound.
"It is reaaallly pretty." She then said, while letting a dry cough leave her mouth. "I could seriously sit here forever.." Wow, cloud gazing was MUCH better with company! "See that one over there?" she then said, with a wide grin. "It kinda looks like a strange bird.. but oh it keeps changing! What else can we find?" Kicheko wiggled herself excitedly, and scoped the sky for any strange shapes or sizes that she could notice. "And thaaat one.. it kinda looks.. like a crazy beetle!"
