A quiet knock reverberated on the door, as Nara and her hooded partner stood waiting. The woman had her hands shoved into the pockets of her jeans, and rocked back and forth anxiously on her heels.

Alera sighed and made her way to the door. Who on earth could that be? She wasn't expecting anyone. She opened the door and eyed the suspicious looking pair nervously. "Um...can I help you?'

Nara smiled reassuringly. "Hello, I'm Nara and this is my partner. We work for the Gaian branch of the Royal Library of Alexandria. We're researching certain scrolls and have been informed of one being in this location. Have you come across anything unusual lately?"

Alera though for a moment. Could they possibly be refering to that old scroll she found in the woods? If they were from a library they mgith be able to tell her what it was. "Well..I did come across this old looking scroll in a cave a few days ago. Why dont you come in for a moment I'll show it to you." She walked over to a nearby table and pulled the scroll case out from under some papers. "Here it is...it looks pretty odd. I've been wondering what it was. I have to say i never expected anyone to show up here looking for it though."

Nara smiled and shoved her hands into her pockets. Pushing the itch out her mind she stared at the scroll for a moment. "Well, we have a very good research team," the woman stated easily.
"Do you think you could spread it out?" Nara asked, "If it's not one of our scrolls..." she trailed off with a shrug.

Alera nodded. "Sure thing, just a sec." She gently pulled the scroll out of the tube and rolled it out to its full length placing it on the table. "There we are... This writing looks so old. I haven't got the slightest idea what it says."

Awkwardly Nara shuffled around the table staring intently at the scroll. A grimace danced across her face as her hands clenched. "Do you think you could move over a little?" the woman asked as her partner moved closer.

Alera nodded and shuffled back from the table. "Um...is everything okay?" She noticed the woman did not have a very pleased expression on her face.

The woman stepped precisely where Nara expected her to. Quickly yanking her hands out of the pockets, Nara took a deep breath. Quickly they dissolved into a green mist. It reached out, wrapping around Iian and Alera, blocking their sight. It didn't stop them from hearing a loud thud as something dropped onto the kitchen table though. Almost as quickly as it began the mist resolved back into Nara's hand leaving behind an new occupant in the room.

As the strange mist cleared Alera stared at the table with an expression of utter confusion on her face. "W-what? How did you? What's going on?" She stammered. This was impossbile. She could hardly even belive what she was seeing. Where could that little one have come from? He didn't look normal either, she thought while eyeing the banadage wrapped child.

Nara grabbed the table as a wave of dizziness passed over her. "I unsealed him.. He's yours to take care of unless we seperate the two of you now..." she said carefully. No need to worry them until she had to.

Alera quickly grabbed a nearby chair and pushed it over to Nara. "Here perhaps you should sit." She looked back at the talbe. The child was looking around with and expression of confusion face. Alera kneeled down near him and gently put and arm around the child, trying to reasure him. "So he did come from the scroll then? I knew there was something odd about that thing." She still didn't quite understand this, but there was no way she was going to ignore a small child.

Nara took the chair gratefully as her partner hovered behind her. "Oh yes. He's from the scroll. He's bonded to you now. What are you going to name him?" It was a rather abrupt change of subject as Nara tried to regain her strength as quickly as possible.

Alera paused for a moment in thought. "...Kahotep...I think it suits him." She had recalled hearing the name once, when reading a book about egypt. It definetly seemed to suit this mummy like child.

Nara sat there a while longer, before digging out a card. "Here. This is for you. It has the number of Dr. Smith and the Musaeum on there." Gesturing at Iian, the woman stood up. "We won't take up much more of your time. If you'll show us the way out..."
