A simple sheild would suffice.

Natural shields have worked for me, I don't know if I've ever HAD to put up a shield besides those.

lol as a friendly little bit of advice. No one is MR has said anything so far that I could construe as negative malevolent and most people aren't even aware of the "guild war" that is supposedly going on. So yeah... no one there really had a clue till Mikeeboi asked if people were neutral there

But as to the topic. I have given up on my own defenses as usually my other selves or guardians deal with that for me. I generally have a shield that seems to negate influence in a small area around me. Usually nothing can influence me directly.

My personal shields are mostly designed to absorb energy and to redirect it to my purposes. This works well enough. The only problem here is when something overloads my defenses buffers etc. but that usually doesn't happen.

I have the impenetrable "occult defense" mechanism.

Active disbelief. When your mind is used to going in two directions at the same time, you find it quite easy to believe that no one can harm you "metaphysically," while at the same time you may be able to harm them.

Didn't I write a mini-article on this long, long ago?

Anywho, I usually set up a shield, though it does require upkeep at times (when I get busy, and it dissolves, I have found that some rather unpleasant things can occur). I also sometimes use a second line, in the form of some enchanted object (usually one of my jewelry).

Can't think of much else right now. Head is killing me from Gender Psych reading. @_@

Well, I have had the pleasure of being the target of something which drains almost everything..emotions, energy....for about half a year to a whole year..
What a truly wondeful experience it was... blaugh

And actually still is, I haven´t quite rid of our bonds and we´re classmates.

Before this incident I had truly strong natural shields, but this person also used disguised abuse and such..so he destroyed my shields through psychology.

So here´s a good advice to everyone: be really careful and aware of any psychological manipulations, because these can be one of the worst things for your shields...and overall.

What methods do I use to create shields?
Well, as I -had- natural shields, I hadn´t attempted to create them before, however I tried several times for fun three years ago.
Thus, I don´t have any direct experience with maintaining or creating them.

However, I did a research on them, and still remember some methods which I´m attempting to protect myself from any further harm...
Due to my complete lack of energy, or at the best low to semi-low energy levels, I can´t really make energy constructs.

One which doesn´t require energy, is to imagine a while light(it´s supposed to be Divine, doesn´t matter from which religion, or just good, positive energy) above your head, really bright, pouring all over you and forming a shield. It´s good to repeat some positive stimulating setences, like,
"This is the Divine light, and will protect from everything negative."

And the key part is, to really visualise it with all your senses...feel it, see it. (smell and hear it too....whoosing and the smell of roses perhaps? blaugh )
