Lithanus eyed the building nervously. He didn't like the idea of asking for help with this situation. It didn't seem natural. But Japi was convinced that it was both necessary and worth it, so he complied.
He looked at his Japi and smiled. She was excited and bouncing slightly on her toes. He was about to put his arm around her when she lurched forward, throwing her hand back to latch onto his and dragging him with her.
They proceeded inside the building.
Japi pranced through the waiting room straight to the receptionist's desk. She propped her head up on her hands and leaned over. "Hi there," she said cheerfully. "We have an appointment."
She felt Lith close behind her place his hand on her hip protectively. She was glad he agreed to this. Mystics were never meant to bear children of their own, so they were all but sterile. It was something she hadn't told Lith. She was so thrilled when she discovered that this place could remedy even her situation, and relieved that she wouldn't have to explain it all to her lover.
"We're here for the shot," she said in the matter-of-fact tone a child might use.

Selma sighed as she heard the new couple enter. More people wanting to bug her. She had headphones in as she completely ignored the couple's small diction amogst themselves. She just continued to flip though the magazine, nibbling on a carrot stick. Damn diets, not like it helped her loose those extra pounds anyway. She conviently forgot the milk shake she had the other day when the cravings got too strong.
When the woman approched the desk Selma sighed as she realized she could ignore anymore, so she raised one hand and waved it to the chairs, hopefully they would get the idea to sit. "Ronchas will see you soon." Selma muttered, waving her hand, then turned up her music and settled back with the magazine, hopefully they'd get the point.

Japi was about to open her mouth--probably to object to the rudeness--when Lithanus decided to put an early stop to that. He wrapped his arm fully around her waist and picked the woman up.
Japi let out a squeak of annoyance and slight discomfort, but Lithanus knew she didn't mind.
He brought her over to the chairs and sat her down on an end seat. He remained standing, next to her.
"She could've at least talked to us for a while," Japi pouted.
"She was busy," Lithanus replied, pointing to Japi's ear in reference to the headphones.
"Even I can multitask," Japi mumbled.
Lithanus chuckled. "Sure you can." He patted his love on the head.
She looked up at him with a mock angry face and he laughed again, leaned over and kissed her on the forehead. "I love you," he said between chuckles.
"I love you," Japi replied with a sigh. "You shouldn't make fun of me though," she scolded.
"Shouldn't I?" he asked her playfully. "You certainly do it to me often enough."
Japi giggled, grabbed his hand and squeezed it.
"Come sit next to me," she said, pulling him around to her other side and the chair that was there.
He sat, put his arm around her and pulled her close. He was less rigid now, and relaxed in the seat a little.
She was glad to see his nervousness fading and smiled. The fact that he sat was proof that he was beginning to let his guard down. She leaned into him and rested her head on his shoulder. She had to twist a little bit to actually do so in the chairs, but it was worth it.

The wait wasn't that long, but it wasn't that quick. There was a crash from down the hall as Ronchas ran forward, stoping in front of Selma. His eyes wild with excitement. "Selma, quick, in the lab..." The doctor trailed off as he turned quickly to look at the pair, looking between them as he suddenly remembered he had an appointment. Then a grin spread quickly across his face. "Oh, it's....my ten o'clock." Ronchas said quickly, forgetting their names but remembering the appointment. The young couple, an almost barren wife hoping to referse that fact. He grined happily, very nice, very nice. Plus elf blood and something she called a mysict, ohhh, he loved it!
Now igorning Selma, who didn't even seem to notice that Ronchas had arived as she flipped another page of her magazine, Ronchas approched the couple. He grined brightly, glancing over the pair, before looking closely to the woman. The over all joy should seem almost perverted if it wasn't for the way he didn't seem to have a sexual air to him at all. Infact he saw Japi more as a female, than a woman. Females were subjects, women were females who he desired but tended to get slapped by. Anyway, science was a much better mistress.
"Hello, hello!" Ronchas exclaimed eagerly, "So glad to see you! So glad. Now, now, you were the couple that called earlier yes? Asked several questions, several questions indeed. I dont' want to get you mixed up, no? That would be bad, would be bad." Ronchas giggled as such an idea amused him, "Anyway, anyway, you too follow me, follow me, to my office, there we have some paper work to fill, and then we can give you the shot, yes indeed the shot. Now I will need you to return once or twice, so one of my nurses can monitor the progress, monitor the progress. I want to make sure that my serum is doing what it's suppose too after all. What it's suppose too."
Ronchas urged the couple into his office, waving his hand to Selma and called to her to hold his calls. It was rare for him to get any but he felt it sounded so...professional, he just loved saying it. Selma, of course, did not respond.

Lithanus jumped up immediately at the crashing sound. It was just a trained reaction, but he stayed tense. Japi jumped as well, but kept her seat. It would be better that way. Lithanus stepped in partially in front of her. He was just being cautious.
The man looked strange, and a little too excited. Lithanus felt uneasy, but when he came in, Japi stood. She looked unconcerned, so Lithanus backed down, but kept a close eye on the man.
He felt Japi standing behind him and moved out of the way.
Japi smiled as she realized the crash was not anything the doctor was too concerned about, and decided she wouldn't worry either. She nodded to his questions as he spoke and giggled at the comments she just assumed were jokes.
"Of course," she said at his last comment. "It's very important that your serum works for me. I don't think there's any other way for me to fix my current situation. I'm grateful for your help." With that she bowed slightly, a Japanese habit she picked up while 'observing' Japan.
She reached for Lith's hand again and they followed the doctor to his office.

"No worries, no worries. I can almost garentee children. Twins in fact. Serum is that strong, yes that strong. If no children, money back! Complete refund!" Ronchas asured them both as he stopped in his office, grining over the couple. He expected a lot of couples like this, young, eager for a family, a little desperate for children for one reason or another and very much in love. Love was such a blinding emtion, Ronchas knew how to use it for his own devices.
"Now, now, first you, first you. Do the young couple have any questions before taking the shot? Any questions at all? I just don't want to leave any lingering doubts." Ronchas glanced to the man and noticed how warily he stood and sent him another smile. Oh smart young man, fearing for your woman. No worries, no worries, Ronchas had no need to harm the woman, especially not now.

"Twins?" Lithanus looked at Japi. The man's confidence worried him. The power to force a pregnancy was already beyond him, but knowing it would be twins... seemed... odd. His mind went out to a certain organization that had created some unnatural things in the name of science. His brow furrowed at the thought.
"Don't worry, love. I'm sure we can handle two just as well as one." Japi tried to assure him. She misunderstood his concern.
The smile the man gave Lithanus when he asked if the two had any questions worried him more, so he decided to take over for the moment.
"What was your motivation for developing the serum?" he asked after a moment of careful thought.
Japi watched Lith intently, wondering what it was that was bothering him. It seemed like an unnecessary question, like Lith was just curious, but that wasn't like him at all, especially not the way he asked the question.

For a moment Ronchas looked a little confused at the question. He wasn't use to people asking about him. For a moment his ego was flattered but he wasn't so stupid to admit his true reason just because someone asked. Ronchas may seem like an idiot but he wasn't one really.
"My mother and father always wanted lots of kids but they couldn't after they had me. I geuss growing up that always stuck with me, how badly they wanted it but how it just never...matched up." Ronchas grined at that, "Funny thing is that both could have kids, oh yes they could, just it seemed not with each other. How sad huh? So very sad. So when I grew I decided I wanted to help other parents get their dreams, a wish fullfiller you could say, yes, a wish fullfiller." Ronchas grined at that idea and giggled a bit madly before looking back to the parents happily.
"Well? Any other questions? yes any others?"

Japi smiled warmly at the doctor's reply. She understood that sentiment, to want to try and give others a chance to fulfill their dreams. She nodded at him and looked at Lith.
Lithanus kept a straight face. The answer seemed to perfect really. If the man had said something selfish, he might have been more inclined to believe him. But Japi was sold on the idea, and he had nothing more than a feeling holding him back, so he shook his head.
"No," he said, then looked at Japi. "Did you want to ask him anything?"
Japi looked up in the air as though she was trying to recall something, but then faced the doctor again.
"Nope," she said cheerfully. Suddenly her eyes opened widely as she seemed to realize something. "Except, maybe... does the shot hurt?" said a little nervously.

Ronchas looked at her and grined warmly. She really was a cute woman, just a little dizzy and perfect for his plands. He reached over and patted her hand with the care and feel of a grandfather, and the smile of a resently escaped maniac. He shook his head slowly.
"I never taken it my dear, never taken it but I haven't heard any complaints, oh no complaints. Don't worry, the shot will be the easy part. Now, I have some paperwork for you to fill out, just some papers." Ronchas said, going to his file cabnet, pulling out an unnamed file and taking their papers from it before handing it to them. "Just fill those out, yes fill them out, and I'll go get the shot. I should warn you, the shot will be useless if your eggs aren't fertlized by her next ovulation." Ronchas giggled again and winked at the man before leaving. He wasn't exactly the most calming of fellows.
Still the good doctor almost skipped from the room as he walked happily to the lab. oh such bussiness, such bussiness, it was really picking up and with them...his ideas, his dreams...no, his plans would too. Soon, very soon, Ronchas giggled at his own genuis and went to get a syringe for the lovely lady.

Japi missed the smile, but Lithanus did not. He tried not to let the man get to him and turned the other way.
Japi giggled. "I guess it's okay then," she said, then nodded at the doctor as he left. She turned to Lith, blushed and giggled.
Lithanus sighed and wrapped his arms around Japi. "You're too cute," he admitted. Even he couldn't stay uneasy for long around her. Her presence was soothing.
Japi hugged him back for a moment, but then squirmed a little in his grip. "Um," she muttered. "Shouldn't we take a look at the papers before he gets back?" The said papers were the ones she was holding, and they were getting slightly bent.
Lith pulled back from her and laughed, a little embarrassed. "Sorry, love," he apologized.
Japi straightened the papers a little and took a look at them. "This is gonna take a while Lith..." she said. "You should probably fill out your parts while I do mine."
Lithanus nodded and took the papers she handed him. It was the usual thing, nothing too sinister. He sat on a chair next to the desk and began to look for a pen.
But Japi was ahead of him. She handed him a pen she pulled out of her kimono sleeve and pulled another out for herself and sat in the chair next to him.
They filled out the papers. Lith was silent, and Japi made occasional sighs of boredom. But there was no more conversation.

Ronchas grinned as he filled the syringe with the syrum needed. He thencarefully put the syringe into a cloth to carry it with. Ronchas was very safe, he made sure that nothing would go wrong with faulty equipment, or dirty devices. Everything would be clean and of high quality. Ronchas wasn't going to let low prices keep him from having the very best. It was just a manner of finding the very best at lower prices than normal...or free prices. Ronchas giggled, then headed back down the hall and to the happy couple.
He knocked on the door once before peaking his head though, "Hello, hello, got your shot right here. How is the paper work comming? Once you're done with the paperwork and I give you the shot all we'll need is your gold and you can be on your way." something else Ronchas wasn't letting low prices keep him from, asking for the money. Now, now, he was a patient man, payment plans were avilable but of course he wanted the money. Ronchas wasn't a greedy man but he didn't want to be a poor man ether and he had bills to pay, supplies to buy and needed the gold to do so.
"So how is it comming? How is it comming?" he asked cheerfully, grining at them happily as he walked in, setting tye syringe down on the counter and slowly unwraping it before turning to the happy couple, my, my, what a nice couple they were, such a nice couple. He giggled again, for no real reason and just grined.

Lithanus was just finishing up, but Japi was still working on her papers. He glanced over at her and noticed that there was a little flower drawn on her hand in the color of the pen she was using.
Japi looked up, startled. "Sorry!" she exclaimed. "I got distracted."
Lithanus broke out into laughter. It wasn't loud, but it was a deep laugh. "If you didn't draw on yourself," he chuckled. "You might finish faster."
Japi quickly hid that hand in her sleeve, which made Lithanus laugh again.
"Almost done," she said with a sigh.
That wasn't exactly true. She still had the better part to go. But she tried to hurry with it.

Ronchas watched the pair, glad to see that the young woman was so...unconcerned. It made things better over all. Still the ditziness of the woman made the doctor start to address things more to the man. He did seem to be the one who was more in control, though Ronchas had no problem talking to woman too. He wasn't sexsit, he just saw everyone else on the same plane...below him.
"No problems, no problems. But I must remind you that I'd like a few visits in between the conception and birth." Ronchas grined at them, "Just a few, just a few. To check on the progress of my serum, and of couse, make sure everyone is happy and healthy. Don't want any complications, any compications." Ronchas shook his head and for a minute almost looked serious.
Then he grabed the syringe and the smile returned, "Are you ready for the shot, the shot?" He asked, moving closer, "I can give it now and you can finnish your paperwork, just finnish your paperwork, and set it here on the counter before giving your gold, yes the gold, to Selma." Ronchas offered, grinning a bit.

Lithanus listened carefully to the man. He a reason to object to check up visits. That part at least, seemed perfectly normal. He nodded to the doctor.
"Do you need checkups on a certain schedule, or just on our own time?"
He was beginning to think he might have overreacted in regards to the doctor when Ronchas returned over-excited self. Lithanus frowned.
"Umm, okay," Japi replied to the doctors request. "I guess..." She put the papers down on the desk and looked at Lith, with a little fear in her eyes.
Lith sighed and moved to her, taking her hand. "It'll be fine," he said. "I'll hold your hand."
Lithanus smiled at her to show it was alright, and Japi nodded back.
