For the past few months I've been doing crystal healing and reiki with my aunts yorkshire terrier, who has a liver disorder. This disorder was caused because the dogs breeder was breeding a dog which carried this disease.

Medically speaking, the poor dog should have died a few months ago, yet he seems to have pulled through. Hes still very thin yet seems much more robust then he was initally.

Well, anyways, I was at my aunts house earlier today just to visit and give her a gift that I had bought for her. I was sitting down on the couch chatting and giving her other dog a massage when her yorkie, Harley, ran over to me. He jumped up onto my leg, and I patted him for a bit. After that he jumped down and scampered over to the doorway leading to the hall, stopped, and gave me a look that seemed to say 'follow me!'. I got up and went after him to find out what he wanted me to see. He walked down the hallway into my aunt and uncles bedroom, hopped up onto the bed and layed down. Thats normally where I do my crystal healing on him! He kept staring at me until I took out a few crystals I had in my pocket (I carry a few crystals everywhere with me) and did some healing work with him.

Honestly, I found it simply amazing how he wanted me to do that for him. Maybe he somehow knows that I'm trying to help him. Maybe the crystal healing really is helping him. I often have my doubts about spiritual healing, yet when I see those I've helped I think that perhaps it is indeed true, and with a heart filled with love and good intentions to help others in need, that you can do almost anything.

If anyone else has any stories about crystal healing, spiritual healing, reiki, and such, please feel free to post them here if you'd like.

That really is an amazing story! Animals always seem to have a much higher spiritual understanding than humans do. At least that's what I've noticed anyways...

As for my doubts, I've had many. sweatdrop I started learning Wicca about two or three years ago, and have tried a few rituals and spells here and there, just to start familiarizing myself with them. I had doubted that any of it would work at first because I'm such a beginer and I felt that my attempts would not suffice for the Gods. Sometimes I didn't have exactly the right things for the rituals and such...and I started doubting even more when I didn't see results quickly. By aye, I soon learned that any attempt to please a higher being is watched with a loving eye, and that magick doesn't always happen quickly, that results may take perhaps four months to show up if they need you. You just have to have faith. 3nodding

i live the story. and i totaly agree with you animals almost always have a much higher response to energy work than humans. i think its because they are more open. anyways, I've done a lot of work on my dogs hip, he is old and we were told that he was going to be immobile and he is up and running. the funny thing is he always comes to me and will lead me to the stones, or a bed when he needs it. its to the point that i do not have to really check up on him, he knows when he needs it and he is able in a sense to tell me.

That's so neat! I keep a few stones in my room, but they're high up on a shelf, so my dog or cat can't really get at them. But my kitty Marbles always lays on top of my tarot cards. 4laugh

I've also noticed that animals seem to be very in-tune with energies and such. My cat loves to lay on top of my Tarot cards when I'm trying to do readings. She can't really get to them any other time though since I usally keep them underneath my pillow. Also, whenever I'm doing magick circles she'll sometimes walk around the circle and meow, yet I think she's only entered my circles once or twice.

hmm, seems ur circles are getting much better! use your internet away time to do more spiritual work. I havent used my tarots in a while, but i have a knack for the ouiji, but i only look up small questions, and not into the future, just past and present. my dogs too much of a lazy bum to come and sense when im doing work like this.

I'm really into wolves... therefor I am into dogs. Because dogs are just tamed wolves. I'm not to fond of cats though. sweatdrop

So is there any new updates with how the little love is doing so far? (At the moment, my calico Marbles is laying atop of my stack of Llewelyn almanacs. I read them everyday.) whee heart

The puppy is doing well. He's gained a little weight, and is eating fairly well! ^_^
I still do crystal healing for him on a regukar basis though... he's such a sweetie! 4laugh

Aww! I have so many animals whom I've met that I wished I could keep, but alas, my kitty would be jealous...

I actually have two kitties now! ^^
I found a stray kitten last week. My neighbor put a lost pet ad for her in the paper for her, but no ones claimed her. She had fleas and ear mites when we found her, but she's better now. Shes a sweetheart, whenever I go outside she;ll rush ovr to me and rub against my leg, waiting for me to play with her, and when I go inside she whimpers for me and gives me this really sad look (she's not allowed inside because my cat would be pissed). I absolutely love her, but I'm probably going to give her up to a no-kill shelter pretty soon since we can't keep her outside in the winter and oftentimes I'm too busy to give her the attention she needs since she's only a kitten. Though I'll miss her, I know that giving her up is for the best.

Just another update...

The dog is in near perfect health now, over a year after he should have died. I still do healing on him, but now it's usally once a month (more if I happen to visit my aunt more that month).

Alongside that my grandmas dog has had liver cancer for over a year, and my grandmother, being a reiki healer, has given the dog plenty of love, care, and healing, and he's pulled through and is in pretty good health.

Despite my moments of doubt and skepticism, it's cases like these which convince me to continue my work as a healer.

I disagree. Although perhaps sharing ancestry, domestic dogs have become an entirely different species. i.e.: comparing a poodle and a wolf doesnt work out so well. While i recognize their certain similarities, I love wolves, and yet do not like dogs that much at all.

One of my problems is that while i tend to love wild animals and can't even describe my facination for them, tame animals hold nothing for me. Perhaps it is because i feel sorry for them, or feel too much like an animal that has been tamed myself that it bothers me.

But now i'm going to return to topic. Animals are very closer to the spirit realm then us i think. Sometimes when i sense a spirit in the house, or near me, suddenly one of my cats would run by as if chasing something, and then the spirit presence would be gone.

But i don't have cats anymore.... we were just too allergic.... (not that i was much of a cat person anyway.)

I love all kinds of animals, wild and tame, and I fully understand how you feel about being a 'tamed animal'. Oftentimes I feel so lost, like society isn't where I belong, and it's merely keeping me chained down... yet at other times I love society. It's a love-hate relationship, I suppose. sweatdrop

With tamed animals, if they are well cared for, I suppose they may feel the same way I do. Contented with thier life (eating, sleeping, playing, going outside, being petted), but at the same time, feeling out of place because of thier primal instinct. But some animals have been domesticated for so may generations that they've grown quite accustomed to thier posh lives (well... at leats my kitty lives a posh life, but I cannot speak on behalf of all pets).
