What are some things you do while playing video games? Most of the time when I play video games I have my stereo on. I turn the volume on the game all the way down and turn up the music. I then would every so often pause the game read some of my comics or whatever it may be I'm reading, (I'm currently reading a book all about the Lincoln County War. Very interesting) and unpause the game and go back to playing. I also eat snacks while I'm doing all of this. I would even take Gaia breaks. xD What are your gaming session rituals? (Keep it PG-13 Tango lol)

I'll usually be programming/compiling during gaming sessions, and keeping an eye on the server at work (it is a full-time job ¬_¬).

So... you're getting paid while you're playing video games. b*****d. Usually, I am concentrating fully on gaming. But my other activities vary depending on what game I am playing. Here are some examples of what I do while playing...: RPGs- snack or eat lunch/dinner depending on the time of day Warhawk- pwn Madden 08- toss my controller in the air in frustration. Seriously, why is this version so much harder than the older one?

However, if the server goes down, then things get backed up for me, creating more work for me, leaving less time for college work and other, more fun things...

HistoryWak (Keep it PG-13 Tango lol) I DO IT ALL! Filing taxes, watching TV, gardening, organizing my stuff, running marathons, and sparring with Chuck Norris while doing it with hot girls lost its challenge after a while, so I added video games. j/k j/k I watch TV, although, lately I've been using Internet Channel more than anything else. I can't watch TV with my DS. It's just humanly impossible to pay attention to three screens when one of them requires touching. I don't listen to music with it either, not when it has EBA. IDK, maybe if iNiS puts EBA on the Wii.......

Listen to Abstract music that clashes with the games feel.
I.E.: Prince while playing Bioshock, Disturbed on NIN while playing Mario Kart.

I'm not good at doing other things while gaming. But if I play Excite Truck I listen to music as well. biggrin
I usually get into the game, especially if it's Red Steel or Battalion Wars.
RS: "Come on, break that dumbass' bat! He's an idiot for fighting a swordmaster with a ******** bat!" "******** GLITCHES!!!!" "I AM GOD!"
Battalion Wars: I spend two hours sitting there saying "All right, the third tank of Marshal Nova's Iron Eight Division is up past the next hill. There are Bazooka Veterans far to the west, not a problem. Rifle Grunts are on the hill. I should take them down first, but the hill is uneven, I might lose my sense of direction, what with the limited visibility of a unit. But I digress. I can do this. Let me review the plan. The third tank of Marshal Nova's Iron Eight division..." I get WAAAAY to into that game.

In regards to how you are with Battalion Wars: isn't it awesome when a video game can capture that same brain-charging feeling that a good game of chess can inspire? I was playing Final Fantasy Tactics on the PSP with a friend and we were doing one of the co-op missions and we were being exactly like that: "Okay, the enemy Squire will go in 4 turns, so we can't rely on the one chocobo to take him out, and once he goes, the enemy Chemist will cure him, so that means one of our two people needs to take him out before he has a turn. Why don't you take your archer up there and Aim, and then I'll move my Samurai here and..." Yeah. I freakin love that.

I guess a strategy game is no good if you can't get into it like that.
