[[This is an RP for my two foxes, Shino and Katsu, and Elf's girl, Suna~]]

A sandish colored male fox with almost tiger-like stripes patterned on himself wandered through the warm environment, sand sticking on and off of the fur on his white paint-dipped appearing paws. "Hn.." Shino muttered with an annoyed look on his face, glancing over at his brother, Katsu. How he had gotten into the situation of being lost with him, who knew, but the both of them were there now and stuck in it.

"Oh, come on, it's not all that bad. At least the sun hasn't risen all the way yet, and we haven't dried up, right?" A white and dark red striped fox said with a forced smile to his brother, tail swaying to and fro as the both of them walked, giving a small 'Ouch!' as a rock had gotten stuck in between one of his paws, raising it up and pulling it out with his teeth and spitting it out in disgust.

A sand-patterned fox made her way through the desert, away from where her tribe normally stayed. Her tail swished behind her lazily as she wandered. Were it not for her tufts of red fur, the kitsune would be completely lost to the sight of others in the desert sand.
At the moment though, she came upon an area that looked almost like a crossway between the desert land of her home and the forested plant-filled homes of other modifoxes. She hadn't ever been out of the desert since she was a kit come to think of it.
Two unfamiliar scents caught her attention. Curious, she decided to go investigate and see just what kind of foxes had stumbled upon this vast land of lifelessness.

"Wait.... Can you smell that?" Shino asked outloud softly, halting in his tracks with nose raised in the air, having caught the scent of another fox. His ears flicked as some grains of sand had been blown into them, shaking his head with an annoyed look... yet again.
Katsu stopped aswell, a little ways ahead of his brother, looking back before sniffing the air, catching the faint scent of another fox aswell. "Yeah... There's someone around here.. Hey! Maybe they could help us out." He said with a smile, tail wagging slowly as he started to walk again.
The sand colored fox gave an obviously annoyed sound as Katsu started off once again, following behind him. Shino didn't really like conversing with others all that much, especially people from other tribes.

Suna peered over the edge of a small rocky cliff down at the two male foxes below. They appeared lost and they bore the markings of another tribe. Bamboo? she recalled to herself vaguely, trying to think of just what tribe had that tattoo. Interesting. They must be very lost to be all the way out here. She climbed back down the rocky face from the side that she had gone up and decided to make her way around to intersect the two. If they didn't find her first that was. She kept low to the ground. Fortunately the color of the rocks around here wasn't too different from the red hue of her fur, so she actually blended in better here than at home.

Shino lowered his nose to the ground, searching for whomever this fox was. He gave a harsh growl as he spotted a lizard in his way, brushing it away quickly with a paw then giving a startled yip as he bumped into something hard, backing away from it. He gave an annoyed snarl as he saw that it was just a jagged rock, leaping over it and continuing their search.
Katsu jumped up slightly, startled at Shino backing away from the rock, giving a relieved sigh then walking once again. His ears flicked at the sound of the mysterious fox, tilting his head to the side curiously and romping ahead of his brother, eager to find this fox now.

Suna rather quickly found a spot that would be in their path and settled down flat against the ground there, laying perfectly still. She always found it amusing to see how long it would take other foxes to find her. She all but closed her eyes so that their light green color wouldn't stand out against the sand. They only remained open enough for her to be able to spot any approaching figures. This would be fun.

Shino continued to walk, tail flicking every so often as the both of them tried to locate where this fox was, starting to make his annoyance grow. "Hmph.." He muttered with a scowl, raising his head and looking around the desolate area, then spotting a glompse of green. 'Odd...' Shino thought to himself with a slightly raised brow, starting off towards the source of the glint of green. "Just a little game of hide and seek."
Katsu, however, continued to walk a little aways before raising his head to check up on Shino, realizing that his brother had wandered off away without him. "Hey!" He called out, quickly scampering over to Shino to catch up with him.

While Suna waited, she contemplated on whether or not to jump whichever fox got close enough to her first. Funny though it would be she decided against it as she did not wish to make any enemies right off the back. She just waited patiently, an amused smirk making its way upon her face.

Shino gave a roll of his eyes as he heard Katsu run back over to him, ignoring him as he lowered his head to the ground, looking against the sandish ground for any sign of life, or possibly that green glint once again. His ears twitched as he patiently looked around, then received a sharp nudge in the ribs from his brother.
"Come on! Hurry up, Shino." Katsu said with a slight frown, ploping down inpatiently and scuffing up some sand with a paw.
The sandy fox gave a cough as the sand was disturbed by Katsu's paw, giving a pure look of hate at him as he shook his head to clear out the sand. He stood back up and continued to walk in the direction he had seen the green color, lowering his head and trying to catch the scent of the fox, closing in on where Suna was, suddenly stepping on something furry, much different from the sand. "Found you." Shino said with a devious and slim smile on his face, standing over the fox and looking at her from above.

"Congratulations," Suna said with a smirk, opening her eyes in full and looking up at the fox that stood before her. "I was wondering how long that was going to take you." She looked over at the other brother briefly before standing up and returning her attention to the one in front of her. "Correct me if I am wrong, but judging from your apparent distaste for sand I take it that you did not wish to come here. Do you two need assistance in finding your way back?"

Shino stepped back a little to give her some room to stand up, tail flicking slightly as he listened to her. "Right. My brother and I are from the Bamboo Tribe." He replied, giving a nod of his head then looking over at Katsu. "Right?" He questioned with a quick glance over to him, receiving a nod of agreement, then said with a brief smile, "My name is Shino. This guy over here is Katsu, my brother."
Katsu was slightly startled as Suna had emerged from the sand, ears twitching out of habit as she addressed Shino. "Yes please, some help would be nice." He said with a nod and a smile, tail wagging at her question. They had finally found someone to help them out!

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Katsu and Shino," she replied with a slight bow. "My name is Suna. Appropriate, ne? Let's get moving if we wish to find forested land before nightfall." She walked between the two brothers and began leading the way back to where she remembered that all of the forests used to be. "So, what is life like in the Bamboo tribe? It must be pretty easy to find food and water there."
(Translator's note: 'Suna' is Japanese for 'sand'.)

Katsu gave a nod of agreement on the comment about her name, giving a smile then walking with her and Shino, darkened red striped tail flicking.
"Life in Bamboo.. Hn... Well, I wouldn't know much about it, I usually don't stick around with family all too much." Shino answered with a slight shrug, then motioned over to Katsu with his tail. "If you were to ask anyone, it would probably be him who would give you a good answer." He said with a nod, walking only a little away to the side from Suna.
"The Bamboo tribe is.... surrounded by bamboo." He said with a chuckle, then continued, "There's alot of land since we have so many members, and it's pretty easy to find food and water, like you said, Suna."

"I see," she replied with a slight smirk. "Well of that's the case then I bet I could give your hunters a run for their money. Hunting deer and other such wildlife is much easier than trying to take down a camel or some of the other desert creatures." She paused briefly, sniffing the air before continuing onward. "So, why don't you hang out with your family much, Shino?" asked the sandy kitsune. "If I had any I imagine that I'd have been rather close to them. Or maybe not. Can't really ever know."

Katsu gave a grin and a brief nod of his head. "Must be pretty hard to take down a camel or something like that." He said with a thoughtful look on his face, then looking over at Shino.
"Hn... I don't know why, really. I guess I'm not drawn to sticking around in big crowds, I suppose." Shino answered, looking over at the sand vixen, giving yet another shrug of his shoulders. "Are you in a tribe yourself, Suna?" He asked, giving a slight tilt of his head curiously.
