 Lol, honestly, the first thing i thought of was Hitler. XD He was gay, you know, but i don't know what made me think about that.

neutral Am I the only one that thinks there is no big deal about it? So he's gay. So what? There are plenty of gay people. A celebrity is no different from an everyday man, woman, or child. Besides the fact that one is widely known while the other(s) are not. CNN just needs crap to print.

Its not just the fact that he's gay, though. sweatdrop Its a big character trait, and regardless of whether or not there are plenty of gay people, Dumbledore is a rather popular character in a rather popular franchise/bookseries/wtfever - and finding out something like that is gonna be a big deal to fans. It changes how I look at Dumbledore, a bit. And again, its Harry Potter. xD Regardless of what sort've news it is, people are gonna be interested.

I think it's interesting - especially since the GLBTQ population is barely represented in the media. It's always nice to see someone like you - especially in such a heteronormative world.

I knew there was more to Dumbledore than what she revealed.
I mean, in the seventh book, Harry discovers that be basically knew
nothing about Dumbledore and his life.
None of us knew anything.
Now we know a little more. wink
I wouldn't be surprised if Grindelwald secretly loved Dumbledore, too.
But, being a Dark Lord and all, maybe he couldn't deal with his feelings
and, thus, ran away from them.
Also, what if Dumbledore had a "thing" for the bad guys?
Maybe he secretly had a little crush on Tom.
But...no. That wouldn't work, because then he'd be a bit of a ***** gives you a lot to think about.

Intriguing. But overall Im glad its one of those little tidbits that arent a huge part of the HP story. Its not relavent. Interesting to know, but kind of a side-track..and not all subplots need to be aired about.
It would make an interesting side-book I think though.
(This coming from the gal who gave up on the books once the movies started coming out e_e )
