 [Day]Zenith sat on the top of a small hill on the little island off the coast of Athas. Occasionally, a monkey would pop up next to him to examine him. He was half asleep, enjoying the sound of the waves crashing, and the ocean breeze. Zenith had seen the island when he was at the coast of Athas, and had flown over. He had used the long, pointy part of his wing-shard to skewer a fish to munch on. He was content.

 The skittish female floated along slowly. Her white shard wings shimmered in the shinning sun, making her stand out more than usual. Her ears flickered more than usual, afraid something would jump out at her after seeing her glimmering body. If she could, she would have preferred to roll around in some mud first so she would blend in a little more, but there weren't any. The most there was...was some dirt.
Her white colored eyes peered about nervously. She didn't enjoy being out in the open for too long, but the indoors were starting to get cold as compared to the outside warmth. Her paws were tucked in closely against herself as she drifted towards that outer island. Due to her poor eyesight, she couldn't see the other gem Kitsu in the short distance ahead. Her nose picked up something, but she wasn't familiar with the outside enough to know what the natural things smelled like.

Zenith lay belly up un the sand, still half asleep. He looked up, there was a white-pinkish figure floating over the water, towards him. He thought it was a dream. "Hello, yonder FAIRY! Fair thee well?" said Zenith, in the dumbness of a fake dreamland.

She could hear the voice from afar quite clearly. As soon as the voice rang into her ears, she stiffened and glanced about nervously. She wasn't sure where to go, or rather, where to hide. Her ears flickered furiously as she tried to find somewhere safe to hide. In the middle of the ocean, there was nothing except water.
Her wings fluttered almost as furiously as her ears as she tried to make her way back towards the inland. She could only hope the other wouldn't follow her...but that was very unlikely. At the very least she hoped if she did find a spot it would hide her rather well from the strange voice.

"No....! Don't leeeeeave meeeeee!" Zenith called as he floated as fast as he could towards the fairy. He was still under the delusion that he was dreaming. "Coooome baaaaack~ Nyah!"

Her eyes widened in fear as she heard the voice following her. What was it doing? Why wouldn't it leave her? Her wings could only flutter so fast. She just wanted a safe place to hide now. It seemed doubtful that the creature would leave her be. Pearl just couldn't understand its obsession with her. She wasn't a fairy, but it wasn't as if she was going to say that out loud.
The female tucked in her form as best she could, flapping her wings rapidly. This game wasn't fun anymore, not that it was in the beginning. Her ears pinned towards the back of her head while she flew, trying to get as far away from this...thing as possible.

Zenith was catching up, as he drew closer, he realized it wasn't a fairy. It was another Kitsu like himself. "Oh, you're no fairy! You're a Gem! Hi~" he said, still a little tired from his nap. "I don wanna hurt you!" said Zenith, realizing it she was trying to flee from him.

As his voice got closer, she could hear a sort of shimmer in it as he spoke. It wasn't nearly as strong as hers, but it was similar in a sense. A gem kitsu or not, he was too close for comfort. Even though she had never met others like herself, she preferred being in the comfort of her own company. It didn't matter what his intentions were, she just wasn't comfortable around strangers. Granted, most everyone was a stranger, she didn't like it either way.
Her wings continued to flap hard as they could, even if only in vain. She just wanted to go back home. Home was her comfort zone, where others didn't bother her and let her be. She was far too introverted to start being friendly so soon. Maybe after a few hundred other times from a far away glance would she start some sort of acceptance, but until then everyone was too close for comfort.

"Aww, come on, I know you can talk." Zenith said, cutting her off. She definately was very pretty. "I'm Zenith, you can call me Zen. What's your name?"

She stared like a deer in headlights at the shiny gem kitsu in front of her. Her head moved about nervously, unsure of what to do. More than anything else, she just wanted to get away from him. There wasn't anything wrong with him, it was just...she didn't feel comfortable around others.
Maybe if she kept him amused for a little while, he would leave her. Nervously, she shook her head before pointing at herself. She had nothing to say, and even if she did she couldn't say it. Pointing to herself was the best she could do to indicate her name. It wasn't very descriptive...but she couldn't write either.

Zenith looked at her for a minute, "Is your name.... Shiny? or Shimmer?" he said dumbly.

Pearl shook her head with a doubtful sigh. See? This was another reason why she didn't like coming into contact with others...it always proved troublesome and ended up troublesome. It was hard to communicate with them. It was best not to intrude into their heads, since it always scared them.
She pointed at herself once more, trying to communicate her name through. It was easy to speak in words, but body language was a different story. Her head peered about nervously as she floated there in with Zenith in front of her. Why wouldn't he leave? She just wanted to go home.

Once more Zenith thought. "Hmmm... is it Pearl?" he said, looking at her markings. He could tell she didn't want to be here by the way she had acted earlier. He wondered what her hurry was.

She nodded quickly, almost as if dismissing that thought. Honestly, she didn't care too much if he got it right or not, she just wanted to keep him amused temporarily. Being around this other kitsu was making her more nervous than usual. If she could sweat, she probably would be sweating cold buckets right now.
Her ears flickered against the strange sounds of the outdoors as she glanced around nervously as usual. She couldn't understand why he wanted to keep her there when she obviously didn't want to be. If he kept her there any longer, she wouldn't know what to do.

"You seem terrified, are you running from someone?" Zenith said, a tad concerned. He couldn't figure out why she was so nervous.
