A yawn and a stretch. The usual, when it came to India, anyway. And so, when two or three yawns led to two or three stretches (and even a few more yawns after that) it wasn't overly surprising. Amber eyes squeezed shut as the male curled in on himself, tails flicking to act as a protective shield about his form. Sleep had been difficult lately, for whatever reason. He could only account it to one of the random bouts of insomnia that gripped one who slept so long and so often. They came, leaving him groggy and irritable, then left, leaving him merely tired and strangely feverish. Now was one of the times of receeding.
And so, finding himself suddenly a bit too warm, he uncurled, stretching fully along what had been the comfortably cold corner when he'd first laid down. Separating itself from the others, his all black tail swished up and around his body once more. The solid-colored appendage just couldn't leave him unprotected, as if it had a mind of its own.

Ember was anxious. This was, of course, nothing new..but he had become considerably less so, once he had found Rhian, and then had become a father. Now, he appeared to be just as skittish as he had ever been, muttering agitatedly to himself as he meandered to wherever his feet took him. Every so often, he would pause, frowning intently at the space before his nose, sigh and shake his head, and then continue on.
When he reached a corner, he was surprised to see it- he didn't remember having come indoors- but moreso to see a familiar shape sprawled out in it. The Sleeper, as Yrre had called him...India! A small smile coming to the distressed kitsu's face, Ember then decided that while he'd love to talk to his friend, he wasn't willing to wake him up. He'd just...wait. And so, he settled in, carefully scooting as close to India as he could without actually touching him: as much as Ember would like that, as touch-adoring as he was, that would probably wake India up.

More warmth. And this time, he was already stretched out. Could it be that he'd heated this spot so much? Sure, it hadn't been exactly cold anymore just minutes ago, but still... Sleeper's instinct removed his all black tail, only to have it flick back across his body again. And the warmth was still there. This time, the real India struggled between awake and asleep, beginning to sense things mere instinct couldn't.
A familiar scent was nearby. Very nearby. His nose wiggled, picking up more signals to send to the tired brain. Wake up. One eye opened unwillingly. The blur of colors before him couldn't exactly be considered familiar. And so, he sniffed again, nose forced to pick up vision's slack. A gentle scent. Jasmine? No, that was just a memory. That was just- "Ember?" The voice cracked lightly as he forced his head from the floor. Eyes slowly focused on an outline, memory quickly filling in the blanks until what he saw wasn't just a rememberance, but real. A smile lit his maw, eyes narrowed gently.
