The sinking sun cast a dimming glow over the Ouran garden. Tonight was indeed a special evening for the students of Ouran high school. Having spent much of their time organizing it, the student council members had each come together to set up for this special night - the Halloween party.

Tall torches stuck out of the ground, arranged around the area the party would take place. On top of each one flickered a small fire, casting an eerie glow over the whole garden. Somewhere, hidden speakers played the sound of a whistling wind, owls, and a howling wolf. Everything needed really to set to the mood. Cobwebs and very-real looking spiders hung from trees and bushes, while orange, pumpkin-shaped lights were strung up and around the area.

There were, however, real pumpkins lined up on the three refreshment tables, their glowing, grinning faces spooky as the sky darkened. They sat behind bowls containing various things, many of which were related to the holiday in some way. Bat-shaped cookies, blood red fruit punch - the council had even attempted to include some simple, commoner foods to the tables. They must have assumed that since many of the students may have not tried commoner treats before, they would enjoy them. There were also foods for those with more expensive tastes however, as they could not deny the fact that it was mainly the thrill that made people try commoner foods, and not the taste.

As if to top everything off, a small fountain of water had been placed on a table in the center of the area. Rather large pieces of dry ice rested in the water, and a thick fog drifted from the fountain, and around the garden. Luckily, the fog thinned itself off as it moved around the garden and the pumpkin lights had been strategically strung up near the fountain, a fortunate thing to those who may have had a hard time seeing (Or were clumsy on their feet).

Everything was set up. The sky was darkening - just a few more minutes and it would be time. A night of games, socializing, and of couse, scary stories.

A night of Halloween.

[[ ALRIGHTY. So we can get the Halloween party started. :B

Of course, Halloween parties won't be much fun without games! Since this is basically a large owner-run RP, everything (Or basically anything. You guys know what should and shouldn't happen. xD) goes. That means if you have an idea for a game, like a scary story-telling contest, bobbing for apples, something, just post in this thread. Post ICly of a student council member (Since we don't know who they are yet, you can refer to them as SCM or something) suggesting the idea, and add a little OOC bit explaining what the objective of the game is.

...I sorry if what I said makes no sense, but hopefully you get it. XD If those running random games want to make prizes or something, go ahead. :B *will be trying to do some as well*

UH. Posting order. Doesn't exactly work in this RP if we have more than a few people. It's unlikely that everyone will be socializing with everyone else at the same time. You'll probably have your character socialize in groups, or with one person at a time. In a case like that, posting order isn't really necessary but try not to leave anyone too far behind. If we were to have a posting order, if someone from the group disappears for a little while, it might end up holding the whole group back so that's not good. If we don't have a posting order though, or mini ones among groups, then no one will be 'held back'. Again, sorry if this made absolutely no sense to you. XD;

SO OKAY. 8D Have fun! And if you arrive late, don't hesitate in joining! More people are always welcome. <3 ...*feels odd making this post* xD ]]

“It all looks really nice!" Mitsuko chirped, taking a look around the garden. Though the evening was supposedly cold, the girl couldn't tell with the warmth coming off of the flickering torches. For once, not a spot of pink was noticeable on Mitsuko. Instead, she was dressed in white from head to toe in white. Little, feathery wings were strapped to her shoulder blades, and a halo - stuck to thin, transparent piece of wire - seemingly hovered over her head. Yes indeed, Mitsuko’s Halloween costume was an angel, and she didn’t make too bad of an angel.

“Oh!” The girl suddenly jumped to the side as she realized that she had been standing directly beside a torch, and her wings had been dangerously near the fire. If she had moved any closer, or if a breeze happened to blow the flame towards her, she would have been an angel on fire. That certainly wouldn’t have been pleasant.

Glancing around at the silent garden – other than the sound effects in the background – the girl bounced towards the entrance of the party, hands clasped behind her back as she stood in front of (but not too close to) one of the torches. “No one else is here yet!” She said, glancing at her cell phone for the time. “But they’re about to arrive so I’ll just stand here and greet them as they come.” It would have been a rather odd sight, to see a girl dressed as an angel talking to herself…

But then again, this was Mitsuko. Everything this girl did was odd, to some extent.

Takumi Akiyama

I look so stupid... Takumi rearranged his bowtie nervously, sighing inwardly. He didn't know what to dress up as for the party, and had put it off until the last minute. If it wasn't for his sister Ena, he would probably have had to throw a bedsheet over himself and gone as a poor impression of a ghost. And that was something he'd rather not do. Instead, Ena had found him a pair of black cat ears and a clip-on tail to match. There was nothing more to add to the costume besides makeshift whiskers, which his sister had somehow glued to his face.

He gingerly touched the area where the cat whiskers were attached. I hope they come off easily... there'll be hell to pay if she used superglue. Takumi had put on a dress shirt and black slacks along with a red bowtie. "You'll be a gentleman cat!" Ena had declared with a giggle.

The boy shook his head at the memory. He finally glanced around and found that he had reached the school garden. Slowing down a bit and taking in the surroundings, he was rather impressed with what he saw. The council members had done an excellent job, and for the first time that night Takumi felt happy that he had come.

And yet... the place was deserted. Have I come too early? he thought, looking around for signs of life. The eerie background sounds were not helping. "...Ah!" There was... Mitsuko? Takumi blinked at her outfit. There wasn't a spot of pink present, and he had to look closer to confirm that it was indeed her. Well... that's a first. He smiled and made his way over to the girl.

The setup was very, very well done. The sounds coming from the speakers made the mood extremely authentic and the decor was fitting for the event that night. Whoever planned the party was quite kinesthetically inclined; she thought.
Chihaya was dressed in a long black silk qipao, a chinese bamboo hat slung on her back, a pair of black leather half-gloves and high black leather boots which made her just a little taller than usual. You're a chinese assasin or bounty hunter, her brother had said. Like the one in the english book, Scarecrow? Laughter. I'll even get the qipao for you, little sis! She'd scowled at him at that time, but having not been able to find a suitable costume so short notice, she went along with it anyway. She'd decided the sword was overkill and left it in the car. It would be annoying to carry around anyway.

Like all qipaos, the one she was wearing was figure-hugging and had a slit along the thigh. Although it was originally up to her hip, she'd secretly sewn the top part togesther, making it less than 20cm long. She wasn't the sexy type, anyway. Plus, it was cold. How could october not be cold?

Only two people were here, aside from staff. Looks like she wasn't late, for once. she laughed and tapped the other girl present on the shoulder. "Ya look really cute, Mutsuko-chaaan!" An angel. Of course. It suit Mitsuko's image perfectly.

"I'm still not up for your outfit. Won't your arms get cold?" Tarii's mother, Rena, worried as she watched Mazuka tie up Tarii's hair ribbons. When they went shopping for Halloween outfits she didn't expect her daughter to pick such a...dark moody costume. Won't people think she was on anti-depressants if she wore this?!

They were currently in a limo outside the party. Tarii was quite impatient about getting there sooner and on time, so Mazuka had to come along for the ride to do the costume ribbons. She honestly didn't like parties at all, but she decided to do it for this one occasion. After all; she didn't even know what Halloween was until her mother forced her to go to the mall to pick out an outfit.

Of course Rena didn't like Tarii's choice very much. "I still say you should have went with the cute bumblebee suit."

Tarii rolled her eyes, trying not to move so that Mazuka could tie up the ribbons to as close as perfection would get her. "I'll be fine Rena. Besides that bumblebee suit makes any skinny girl look like a fat cow," she reasoned with a shrug.

As Tarii cringed from one last tug Mazuka grinned. "Your ribbons are all tied up now, Tarii. Good luck to you!" She scooted near Rena as Tarii glided towards the limo door.

"And remember Tarii-" Rena started, as Tarii opened the door, "-Do Not Use Drugs!"

Tarii gave her mother a dumbfounded look before opening the limo door and exiting out the limo. This was going to be a long fun-filled night for sure. Or at least she hoped it would be that way. The black haired girl adjusted her mask with a smile, entering the hedge-arc into the party scene.

Saty fixed his hat and sighed. He really wasn't that creative when it came to making costumes. His sisters once again helped him and he thought it was kind of sad that after all that effort this was the best he could come up with. Most people probably wouldn't even know who he was supposed to be. He had had another costume ready but then didn't like it. It was even less originial then the one he had on now.

The limo pulled up infront of the school ground and Satu sighed again. Atleast he would be able to have fun with his friends, even if they didn't know who the Tin man might be. He had watched the film recently and had instantly descided on who he would be after watching it. His silver make up was already starting to run lightly and it was kind of irritating his face but he'd have to put up with it, his perfect complection would have to suffer for the night.

He fixed his hat once again and stepped out of the limo, bidding adue to his driver, who wished him luck. Why Satu didn't really understand but either way he thanked him and stepped out into the gardens.

The place was quite deserted and it was difficult to make out the people already here since everyone was in full costume. He walked through the fog, amazed by atmosphere that had been created. Truely an amazing halloween night. He walked into the center of the for seeing Mitsuko, fully clad in an angel outfit, Takumi in a cat outfit, the one Satu was so close to wearing himself, Chihaya in a very pretty dress and finally he spotted Tarii, in a very pretty, gothic outfit. He walked over to her, the metal bits of his outfit clinking as he walked. He wished he had gone for something a bit more elegent now instead of a stupid tin man outfit.

"Good evening Miss. Tarii" Satu said as he approached her. "You look lovely tonight!" he added, luckly his silver make up and the dark atmosphere masking his blushing face.

Audric Laurent

Audric put the finishing touches on his custom before he left his room. There'd been talk all week of the Hallween party being held tonight. Before he came to Ouran, Audric had never celebrated Hallween. It had always seemed strange and somewhat silly to him. But an entire week of hearing stories of trick-or-treating, scary ghosts, gross zombies, and candy corn left an impression on him. Audric even went to a local store and bought some Hallween decorations for his room. It was now decked out with orange lights, a pumpkin, some ghost stickers on the window, and, of course, his costume.

Audric wasn't able to run to the store until late in the week, so the place was pretty much cleaned out. But he managed to find some cat items and a very funny looking suit and shoes. This strange but silly combination was perfect for Audric, despite not being scary in any way. Audric could be a bit of a wuss, so he avoided the rack of masks, blood, and brains at the store.

On his way out, Audric grabbed up a cookie cake he'd made earlier that day. He even bought orange and black frosting to draw some Halloween things on with. Audric knew the party would provide the refreshments, but he couldn't help baking one anyway. The party was taking place in one of the nearby gardens, so Audric decided he had no need for any transportation other than his legs.

Out in the cool autumn air, Audric immediately got goosebumps. His suit opened at the chest, so it wasn't the warmest outfit. But after a few steps his blood got pumping and he warmed up a bit. After arriving at the party, Audric was in awe of the wonderful decorations; they were much better than those in his room. He moved towards the stuffed refreshment table and barely got his cake to squeeze in. Hopefully no one would mind the less than elegant cake.

Turning around, he scoped out who was attending and what they were wearing. So far, the angel was his favorite costume. Audric didn't personally know the girl, but the outfit seemed to fit her perfectly. "Your wings are sweet!" Audric said while laughing, and joined the angel girl and the other girl who was already talking with her.

The creepy sounds didn't seem to phase Mitsuko even a bit - on the contrary, she looked as cheerful and happy as she always did, if not more so tonight. Her green eyes only brightened more with the arrival of others, starting with Takumi.

Covering her mouth to stifle a giggle, she waved eagerly at her classmate as he approached. After a moment, however, she took a step back to take in the boy's costume. Her gaze darted from the whiskers, to the ears, and the the bow. "Cute costume Takumi-kun! You're a cat, right?" As she said this, her gaze lingered on the bow thoughtfully. "Or are you..." She trailed off, furrowing her brows. A gentleman cat?

Before she could say anything, the girl felt a tap. Glancing over her shoulder, a grin replaced her previously-confused look. "Chiya-chan!" She beamed at her friend, before adding, "You look really pretty! And thank you." She tugged at her dress, before making a face, "It's pretty chilly though, isn't it?" She was glad she had worn stocking on her legs, but they weren't much protection against the cold, and her arms were almost completely exposed. Oh well. Hopefully it wouldn't get any colder out, then.

As usual, Mitsuko's short attention span pulled her eyes elsewhere as two more people arrived. One dressed in a gothic outfit and another...a tin man? She couldn't see their faces from this angle, though she was curious, as usual, as to who the newcomers were. People she knew? Well, she'd find out in due time.

Hearing a new, unfamilar voice, she turned her head to face the one who had spoken, before grinning. "Thank you very much!" The girl chriped, her eyes happy. Then, she stuck out her hand with a smile, head tilted to the side. "I don't believe we've met? I'm Takara Mitsuko, but you can just call me Mitsuko!" She never was one for formalities, as everyone could see. Aside from the fact that she tended to call people by their first names, she also had a tendancy to tackle people she was familar with if the chance came around.

Those at the party should probably beware of the angel-outfitted girl. If Mitsuko had her way, she'd get speak with everyone in the party.

Katsuo Arata

PostPosted: Sun Oct 21, 2007 3:49 pm

So this was what an Ouran party was like. Katsuo stood in awe as he entered the torch-lit area, and began to look around him. There were people in costume all around, not to mention a lot of decorations, and... some food that he'd never seen before. It looked so simple and inexpensive. That must have been some 'commoner food'. Some of the chatty girls in the hallway had been talking about having some at the Halloween party. There were a bunch of people there, a lot of which he only vaguely recognized. Maybe, before the night was through, he'd get to know them better.

The decorations were amazing. This was nothing at all like the minor parties and dances that were thrown at the boarding school. In fact, this was compeltely different. This was extravagant, interesting... and probably expensive. He really did like this school, even if it was a little over-the-top sometimes. As his eyes wandered, the came upon the dry ice in the fountain. So that's where the fog was coming from. More realistic than a smoke machine, he guessed. There were pumpkins, too. As his eyes continued to wander, they finally came to rest on the small crowds of people that had already begun to join into the festivities.

Whatever his costume was, he had no idea. It had been merely something that he picked out of necessity. He was some sort of evil pumpkin-man or somesuch. The eyepatch that he was wearing had come with the costume, so he just wore it without thinking. Oh, well, maybe next year he'd get a more creative costume. One that he could actually explain to people without sounding like a weirdo.

There were a couple of cat-costume-clad people, vampires, zombies... And an angel. Among a group of people, he saw Mitsuko. She seemed busy at the moment, talking to a bunch of people. He'd have to talk to her later, when they were both free. Or when one of the games were going on. Maybe he'd break out one of the old stories that he'd heard at camp or at his old school. For now, he just waved to her, and hoped that she would see him.

Apparently, none of the contests had begun yet. Or else there would probably be a bunch of screaming girls who couldn't take the frightening stories that everyone shared at these sorts of parties. He'd probably have to talk to one of the student council members in order to know exactly when everything was starting. Or he could just ask some of the people tha the knew what was going on.

He scolded himself inwardly -he'd done it again. In the time that he'd spent looking randomly at things around him, he had not been paying attention to the big picture. He'd probably been standing in the way. Oh well, no harm done. Arata moved toward a couple of people, one of which he recognized, even though he was wearing a costume. "Satu!" He waved, smiling. "Who's your friend?" He didn't realize that he might be interrupting a conversation going on between them. They were apparently talking about something, but he hadn't heard what it was.

Well, at least this wasn't as bad as it could have been. Miho glanced around taking in all the decorations quietly. Actually it was quite nice. Even though she didn't like dressing up in costumes or socializing with people Halloween was one of the few holidays she didn't completely hate. No glitter was involved.

She grumbled softly as she tugged at the edge of the skirt that hung down below her coat. In reality it was actually a full dress, but she had refused to wear just the dress as it wasn't practical for a cold night and showed far too much skin for her liking anyway. The pointed witch hat that she wore was already irritating her to no end, it had fallen off getting both in and out of the car and she had a feeling that it would continue to do so whenever bumped.

Studying the people around her she saw a few that she actually recognized; Mitsuko, a boy from her class that she couldn't remember his name, the boy she'd bumped into at the music store, and Tarii. Miho tried not to groan, she hadn't had a run in with the girl since that first day of school but that was mostly because she had avoided her.

Eying the girls and the party Miho sighed softly. If any of the games tonight were at all scary she bet that they'd have a bunch of screaming and scared girls on their hands. She was fairly immune to scary stories because of the number of horror stories she had read but she knew most girls weren't.

Looking further into the garden she saw a table loaded with snacks. Some of which she recognized as commoner food. How odd the student council was for including that. Miho doubted that most of the people attending the party would even know what it was.

Making her way into the garden she didn't even notice as one of the spider webs got caught on the tip of her hat. Not that it really made any difference as it just looked like part of her costume.

...Newcomers!
She followed them with her eyes hungrily- The costumes were seriously interesting! There was one of her classmates in an absolutely gorgeous gothic outfit, Satu(with pink highlights! She laughed to herself) in a tin-man suit, Katsuo-san in a rather strange looking pumpkin suit, another girl in a well-done and cozy-looking witch costume, and a guy in...ah, she couldn't tell. A kitty? She'd have to talk and get to know them later...yes.

"Thank you, Tsuko-chan! I think your's is much nicer, though!" She gave her a wide smile. "Look, you've already got an admirer!" Chihaya motioned towards the boy coming towards them. The afore-mentioned ?kittyboy? was was wearing quite a skin-baring costume, and Chihaya wondered how he didn't get cold in the cold October weather. Truth be told, her own costume would've been extremely useless againt the cold if not for the knee-length black pants she wore inside. She'd originally worn them as the dress was rather...sexy, but it proved to have practical uses during the party. The lighting c** heating helped alot, too.

"Don't you get cold in that...?" She asked the boy, in genuine curiosity.

Audric couldn't help up let out a small laugh. Of course they hadn't met! This was no doubt the largest group of people he'd hung out with at Ouran besides for in a classroom. "Nice to meet ya, my name's Audric Laurent." Audric said, nodding politely. "You can call me Audric if you'd like." Since he wasn't use to Japanese customs and frankly didn't understand them, Audric didn't mind one bit being adressed by his first name. In fact, he often forgot to answer a question in class when the teacher called out his last name.

"This is my first Halloween party, so all the costumes seem amazing!" Audric told the girl Mitsuko had called 'Chiya-chan.' But he was pretty sure this wasn't her actual name, so he refrained from calling her by it. It would freak him out if some stranger came up to him and called him by a nickname.

"I'll admit, this open-chest thing isn't the warmest fashion; but now that I'm up and moving it's much better." Audric couldn't help but feel a tad embarrassed by his outfit. It wasn't skin tight, but close enough. Which meant tt showed off his less than athletic body. Not to say Audric was flabby in anyway, but his lack of regular exerise did show. Luckily his entire family had naturally thin bodies or he wouldn't fit his costume!

"What's your name?" Audric asked the same girl. There's no way he could continue a conversation with her unless he could put a name to that face.

Tarii Wasutori

Tarii was resisting. Her ribbons; she couldn't help it. She was trying not to play with them, because there was no way she could reattach them onto her hair without assistance. But frills was an embarrassing weakness, and she had it. She looked down at her skirt, watching the fake jewelry reflect light from the fire. Of course they weren't real; not that anyone would really mind if they were. So much real jewelry as this skirt contained would cost too much and would be somewhat wasteful.

The only thing that had any real authentic was the amethyst jewels on the mask, which her mother had kept from her days as a supermodel. The jewels were encrusted right into the mask so they wouldn't fall out and the mask itself was probably half her own age.

Turning around at the sound of a familiar voice it took her a minute to recognize Satu. His metallic suit made it somewhat difficult to see his face, but once she did a small smile crept on. "Hi Satu. And stop with the formalities, will you? Just Tarii." She joked, poking Satu with her finger.

"By the way, taking a guess- are you dressed up as a garbage can?" She curiously asked. She doubted she was right, but then again it never hurt to guess. Or so she believed.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 26, 2007 6:00 am

"Looks good on ya, really." She said, looking the boy named Audric over. His lanky body suited the costume well, which was rare for clothes like such."It's not like my own is suited for weather like this, either." She let out a small laugh.

"And my name is Takanashi Chihaya, but, really, no one calls me that. Chiya will do. Surely you've heard Tsuko-chan address me by that name?" Ah...wait. No person in his right mind would call another stranger by one's nickname right? Right. She was probably one of the strange people in the world who didn't mind. Mitsuko also joined her in that category, she decided. Not bothering to correct her mistake, she said, "Pleased to meet you," and extended her hand towards him. "Mr Audric." She hoped she could make new friends at this party, as there were still so many people she didn't know.

Satu grinned and was about to apologise for his actions. "Sor- I mean okay then Tarii! I guess some habits die hard huh?" he said with a grin. It still felt kinda odd not adressing her with some sort of formailty because he descided that if it made her feel better then he didn't really mind all that much.

Satu laughed loudly, something that he very rarely did. "Um...no not exactly to be truthful." he said when he had finally settled down slightly. "This is my rather feble attepmt at dressing up as the tin man from the Wizard of Oz" he said with a smile. He looked down at his rather odd outfit. "But I could see where you would get the idea from." he added smiling.

"Um...I'm guessing you a gothic lolita of some kind...or something to that extent yes? Its a very pretty costume." Satu said with a grin. He was telling the truth. All the ribbons and bows really suited Tarii.

Satu turned when his name was yelled and saw Katsuo. He smiled and waved in his direction. "Hullo Katsuo!" he said grinning. "This is my friend Tarii" he said happily introducing the ribbon clad girl. "Shes a friend of mine...from Ouran...obviously." he added stupidly
