As the days grew even shorter, almost into nothing, and the foliage grew scarce, Aderyn found herself left with only one thing to cling to: her sarcasm. Her little dancing baby Urd wasn't so little anymore, and quite capable of taking care of herself. Not only that, Urd /did/ take care of herself, and quite well; at least Aderyn thought so. She had been so young when she had Urd, it had suddenly become her life to take care of her. Now that that was done and over with, Ade found herself feeling useles and uneeded, as well as somewhat releived. Raising a youngster on your own is no picnic, especially when you're a youngster yourself. Ade's mental growth and maturity had pretty much been stopped entirely, and now that Urd was out of the nest, it was finally time for the mother to finish her own growth and become a real cow.
But there was still sarcasm. At least she had that, and boy did she know it. It seemed that any time anyone at all said a single word to her, it was met with a quick remark, humorous or otherwise. She wasn't the friendliest cow in the herd, that was for certain. But in her view, none of them really were. It was the collection of freaks, as she had always said, and she was just another one of them. Why be nice? Sure, Donner had been great letting her and the then calf Urd join, but that was practically history. She had /fun/ being sarcastic, and what's life if it isn't fun? It's nothing, that's what. So Ade kept at it strong. Even if it drove away all potential company.

Sarcasm didn't drive away all company... usually... sometimes... actually, scratch that - it did. And Blitzen was one who was well aware of the fact.
Coming around a tall and brittle copse, bells jingling lightly from around her neck, the storm hued cow paused in her step for a moment or two when she spotted the other female not too far away. The Other's markings and scent were familiar... however a name to match them was currently failing to pop into the outrider's head. She knew Donner would probably scold her for not remembering everyone's names, but she doubted that even he knew them all and it wasn't her fault that she had only talked to their cow, what, once? So not her fault... right?
Oh well...
Dismissing that little tidbit of information- or lack there of - Blitzen continued forward towards the other in her usual smooth gate, hoping that the name would come back to her

Aderyn squinted through the cold breeze towards the sound of cloven hooves, trying to find a name for the large figure smoothly moving her way. The bells gave the other away as one of the original reindeer from Donner's crew, but that wasn't really helping her come up with a name. They looked so similar sometimes, that whole group. It was so difficult to tell who was who from a distance. Since, for the moment, most of the herd stayed at a distance, she wondered breifly if the figure was one of the males looking to get some cows fo the next Anlach. Aderyn's immediate reaction would've been to walk away, but then she caught a better look at the face. It was just Blitzen.
Aderyn went back to nosing around for something to munch on, waiting for the other cow to get close enough to say something. Blizten had just as much of an attitude as Aderyn now had. This should be interesting. The cow could practically roll her eyes at this, but decided against it. If the eye roll was caught, it might get back to Donner. For some reason, Ade liked Donner. He was mildly psycho in her view, but she had a certain respect for him. Plus, it was his herd, and he had let her and the then baby Urd stay here.

"Haven't seen you around much." The comment half carried itself on the wind as the storm-hued cow continued to close the now much smaller gap between them. She still hadn't remembered the light cow's name, but she did remember that they both shared a similar personality.

"Yes, it's been a while." She neither said that she was happy nor unhappy about bumping into her again. In truth, Aderyn was rarely pleased to bump into any of the reindeer she lived with. Then again, she wouldn't exactly be pleased if she was alone all of the time. Especially now that her little Urd was pretty much completely independant. Although she'd be lying if she said she wanted to see this particular reindeer. It wasn't that she didn't like her, since Ade didn't really like or dislike anyone. It was just... well, the two females were notorious in the herd for having similar personalities. It was very rare that their type of personalities got along with eachother. Very rare.
"I've been, y'know, grazing.. Nosing around for food takes up quite a bit from time." She looked back down at the ground, which had a thin layer of snow on it. Things could only get heavier from here on out, she mused That blind cow Ade had grown attatched to woul start blending right in again with the mud being gone.

The cow let both brows rise and then fall. "Indeed it does," she commented. "Sounds absolutely thrilling."
No, she wasn't trying to start something. Her tone was quite neutral and huskily normal. ...It just held that sarcastic tone, and well, Blitzen actually doubted that the other would even take the slightest offense no matter what she said. That was a good, and a bad, thing about conversing with another like one's self. oh well.
