If you've never heard of this anime, you should totally do it.
It's what you would call a "psycho" anime, kind of like Paranoia Agent or Elfen Lied.
But I like Higurashi because it really plays with your mind over everything that happens. You get to watch, in the first arc, this guy's mind completely break down until he literally claws his own throat out.
Great stuff.
