One of he best things about Gaia are its avatars, and we happily choose the features of our starting one (remember the virginal gaia days where you'd just signed in and had to choose eye types, gender, skin type etc?). Well we get quite attached to our avvies, don't we? We wnat them to look nice at least smile
Now, if you're anything like me, characters naturally spring up in these sorts of things-even if you just start distinguishing in clothing "oh, my avatar wouldn't like this style..." etc.
So- what are the unwritten (or written) stories of your avatar? Does it have one, is it based on a previous character, do you like the idea of making a little character? Have you carried on your avatar character anywhere else?

My avatar is called Inana (previously she was called 'V', but this is a-far too cliched and b-not that decent a name) - named after the Mesopetanian fertility goddess (and she's a pretty cool one too- you don't mess with that goddess lol).
Besides Gaia, i'm using the character of Inana for 'adventurequest' and the results of both Gaia and Adventurequest basically shape what character she is - so she's always changing.
For example, dresse dup in her peasent dress she was a vampire - and always will be. But now she's got her blue drgaon tail (a feature i LOVE) I'm pulling her character more along the sci-fi route.
What never changes is that she's a vampire of sorts (with a limited tolerance to daylight) and that she loves flowers.
At the moment I think of her as a bit of a galactic vampireslayer 3nodding
She's a bit sarcastic, loves a good aventure buit can be clumsy/absent minded. Nevertheless she's a decent fighter and always wnats to fight for good - often flipping between sides to manipulate the bad guys.
Maybe it's just me - I am a bit of a novel/writer/character dork - but i like to use my gaia avatar to spark of new ideas for character evolution, just because the only contraint to what your avatar can be is how much gold you have.

Well, Dornkus is just the name I use for every character I have; the first time I used it was for World of Warcraft. I had not originally intended to make him a werewolf. It was a vampire vs. werewolves game, and I figured everyone would choose vampire, so I chose the underdogs (no pun intended). Afterwards, I found out you could be a werewolf on AdventureQuest; so I became one.
These two games lead to my love of the Lycan, so I used TekTek to create a werewolf avatar that didn't look as though they were a person wearing a mask.
Then I added stuff that I thought went well with it.
That's about it.

Mines I made when I was learning chinese. I named it Moonlight (B/c I always have something star or moon related in my user names) and then added HuangHou b/c in chinese it means empress. ^_^
My first avi suit matched a empress look but I changed it a few times by now. I think I may go back to first one later.

I used that name in most online games like Nwn(evintcreev), Guild wars(evintcreev-evincrane), lunia(evintundone) etc. . .
my first Evint was Evint Creev in Nwn (never winter nights)
So I have many stories behinde my Evint(or evin) characters/avaters, but I seem to be to tired to type them down cry

=D Well..
I made a account on here because my sister and my brother played. I got my name from Shadow the Hedgehog. (He does Chaos Control.) And why didn't I use "control" instead of "ctrl"?...I guess I used ctrl because of the keyboard spelling. ^o^
My avatar is a Kitty at the moment and her name is supposed to be Jhudora, but the name was taken. !_! *thinks* I guess that's all I can say...wait..I can tell you her personality! *grins*
~She's hyper, (Like, all the time!) likes to eat chocolate and hot dogs.
Yay~ I guess that's all...yeah. >.>

My avatar is Vapor, originally a blue-haired kunoichi until she got a hair cut since it looked cute. =D Anyway, she's rather quiet, good-natured, random at times, and talented. Mainly in ninjutsu and in drawing. She has a puppy(not shown here until I get her), Gin Gin, a pomeranian. <3
Vapor was a character I made up for a pokemon doujin, where she and two of her closest friends(also ninjas) got turned into pokemon and sent to the Harvest Moon town, Mineral Town from the girl version of HM(forgot its name). So, that's my story. =)

my avatar is named kamikaze because my old gaia accound was kamikaze=loveable^^(i also wanted to make it shorter but i realized it costed money TT.TT) so thats why, also i love kamikaze, or the divine wind, thats also my Halo name too mrgreen and i love to kamikaze people twisted
