Eidi wandered uneasily through the thick trees, left and right. Then left, then right, then right again, and then she soon lost count. Other than for her own reference, what did it matter? She had easily lost sight of the lack, much less the path back to society. She scraped her paws at the earth uneasily, careful not to disturb a small shrug peeking through the grass. Eidi gave a loud gasping sigh, throwing her head back dramatically. If she weren't positive no one was around to see her, she might have flopped over. Acting as if she was too exhausted to stand. She frowned, glancing over her shoulder at a tree stump behind her.
"Arn't dogs supposed to have some sort of instincts? Because I don't feel it."
