So I was with my private instructor and my lesson just ended. I was taking my trombone apart when I realized the bell and the slide were stuck together. I gave it to my instructor to get it out, but after several tries didn't succeed. We added a bit of oil to maybe loosen it, but no avail. Finally she gave it to me for one last try and it popped out. Now, have you guys experienced things like this? What did it take to get your parts unstuck.

My mouthpiece was stuck to my trombone once... It was horrible. xD
And I couldn't unscrew my slide off because it was stuck.. and I went trough half the band before a girl clarinetist tried and got it out. Wow.

My friend's gotten his mouthpiece stuck to his trumpet numerous times. If it doesn't get stuck, it falls out.
And then one time I got my sax mouthpiece stuck. Nobody could get it out, except for my friend... the one that gets his trumpet mouthpiece stuck a lot.

My friend's flute's headjoint wouldn't come out so we took turns holding on to different parts and pulling. Apparently we dented the headjoint while we were pulling so our BD took it in for repairs. The next class he told us how at the repair shop, the headjoint got stuck again and they thought they had to saw it off.

Yeah, they were using a mouthpiece remover to get the trumpet mouthpiece out. I always wondered what that thing sitting there was until then.

When i tryed to switch to Tenor sax i wanted to try i out at home. but i couldn't get the plastic thing that you put atop it when you put it away. so i pulled and pulled and pulled. and used my friends trumpet grese. no luck sweatdrop . so then i brought it into school and my band instructor asked if i practiced. and i said " i couldn't! the thingy wouldn't come off!! " so he picks up the saxophone and just pulls it off like normal. i was sitting there like holy crap!! i was like i tryed everything!! even my 18 year old brother couldn't get it off! he was like "right, right." so he just thought it was an excuse for not practicing...and we had practice cards.
then one time i forgot to use cork grease and i thought it would never come off. but hten i twisted it and twisted it and i finally came out.
