The month had droned on long enough . . . The black and white vixen had returned and had faced the consequences. Her brother, Frenka, had attacked her and she was weak, both physically and emotionally. She hadn't eaten in days and her body was being deprived of water. She didn't have the strength to hunt and could barely walk. Her wobbly legs were coming very close to failing her. They did . . .

She collapsed onto her side and couldn't keep her bloodshot eyes open any longer. Her breathing was labored and her heart rate slowed. So many mistakes she had made. It pained her to think of all the loved ones she had failed. Kinovu . . . She had never told him about her absence, or anything for that matter. She was an idiotic mate who desolated him. Maybe this would be where it would end for her and her sins . . . Oh how she wished she could see him . . .

One last time . . .

Had it really been a month since she had come back to her tribe, she was slightly afraid to face her friends and family, but she had to do what she did and that would not change. Sahari slowly padded along the boarders of her lands, she had caught the scent of blood, and the scent of a familiar fox, "Akuma." She muttered softly. "What is this." She breathed turning padding towards the sources of the smell, she continued and manuvered her way around obstacles her gaze foucing ahead, where was Kinovu, did he know about this?

Soon the Elder came upon the broken fox, she lowered her head to the fox's pelt nudging her gently, she caught a scent from it, her eyes narrowed with slight anger, why did she catch Frenka's scent here. Did he do this to her? Wasn't this his sister? She let out a slight growl, if that was the case then she would need to talk to him, no one would do this to her friends, her family's mate, she wouldn't allow this. "Akuma." She whispered softly, nudging her again, "Open your eyes, it is not you time. Not yet." She said softly.

Akuma worked to open her heavy eyelids. The usually ghastly gray eyes which were bloodshot at that time slowly scanned the area to find the source of the crystal clear, snow-like, familiar voice belonging to a vixen. Eventually, they fell onto the sight of two white paws with bangles clasped around their ankles. Immediately, it hit her. "Sahari . . . ?" She asked weakly. She was very surprised, but to fatigued to show any emotion in her frail voice. She tried to sit up, only to fall over on her side once again. The gravel and rocks on the forest floor dug into her open wounds, eroding away at her flesh. She winced as they did so.

But Sahari, Kinovu's mother and a motherly vixen to Akuma, was here? Did that mean Kinovu was? Her head throbbed with a sharp pang of pain as she thought a little too much.

"Yes." The gray fox said softly before flickering her tail over her warning her not to move, this ground was not sutible for any injured fox, she glanced around spotting a patch of green grass, she knew snow would be a much better bed, but she was a bit away from the land and she was afrid to move her too far.

Sahari gently moved Akuma over onto a patch of grass being careful of her wounds sniffing her gently, she gazed down at the fox, she could catch Kinovu's scent, he seemed desperate he must have caught Akuma's scent, "Just rest, don't move, he will be here soon." She cooded softly, and by the scent she could catch the scent of herbs on his mouth, the fox was smart, and he was lucky to have this fox.

'Kinovu, hurry up.' She thought.

"He?" Akuma asked with a little surprise. She wanted to gasp at the thought of him coming. Was it really him? She hadn't seen him in more than a month. All the wounds that were inflicted of his absence suddenly seemed to burst open, waiting to be healed with the sight of his serene face again.

But for now, Sahari was here. "How did you find me here . . . ?" She asked. Was she really not that far off from the Kousetsu Borders?

Kinovu tore the the bushes skidding to a halt, "Akuma!" He yelled through a mouthful of herbs, he quickly dropped them licking her muzzle, pushing the herbs to her, "Eat these." He said gently, before blinking looking back at the Elder with shock, he couldent belive what he was seeing, was she really back, after a month, some were begining to think she had died. He knew it wasent true but... "Your not dead?" He asked, "Where were you? Loki is going to have you head." He said. Not waiting for an answer he looked back at his mate his tail covering her, they had to get her to Kousetsu some how, who did this to her? When he found out they were going to pay.

Sahari looked at the young fox, that was a lovely greeting, it dident matter she smiled before padding closer to the injured fox, he was thinking the same he was, but he dident want to tell him that who she thought did this was Frenka, her gaze lowered slightly before she sighed, "I caught your scent, and followed it, you really worried me Akuma." She said softly, "Kinovu we need to get her back to the tribe's land." She said.

"Kinovu!" Akuma attempted to yell in a hoarse, raspy voice. Her throat was too dry to do much else. Without a second thought, she arched her neck down to eat the herbs laid down in front of her. "Thank you, Sahari . . . And Kinovu . . ." She said and continued eating the herbs. Already she was feeling quite better.

Kinovu smiled and licked her cheek, "There is nothing to thank me." He said softly before looking up at Sahari with a nod, looking back down at his mate, "Can you move?" He asked softly, he needed to get her to the snow, her wounds would heal there much better.

"I dunno . . . Maybe . . ." Akuma stammered, her voice slightly clearer. She placed one paw firmly on the ground, her claws extended and gripping it tightly. She put her weight on that weak leg which trembled beneath her and put up another firm leg. Lifting her weight and balancing among the last four paws, she stood up, wobbling at first. She couldn't help but let a light, short laugh escape her. It seemed like she was learning how to walk again.

She carefully placed a paw in front of her and shifted her weight onto it. She walked no more than three, agonizing steps before falling into Kinovu. She felt ridiculous having to slow them down like this. Her blood oozed through her wounds, staining his luscious, white fur. Guilt crossed her face and she frowned. "Sorry . . ." She apologized and back up.
