This will be a story written by multiple people, one sentence at a time. No one may control any individual character, but each person that writes will be alloted a few moments of time, whatever they can create within their post, which will only be one sentence long. Get the theme, here? And yes, you can have it be a run-on sentence, just don't make a paragraph of it.
Everyone and anyone may participate! Have fun, onegai!
The only rules thus far are;
1. You may post right after anyone who isn't you! (that means, no posting twice in a row- let someone else chip in, too).
2. Don't kill off our character! If we write him into a corner, we've gotta try to get him out!
3. If we're in such a bind that we must get away from the main character, some benevolent person must use their one-sentence power to switch the focus! (such as, 'While [previous character's name] lay dying, a young girl walked by, and ran to get him help'. In this case, that new girl could become the new focus. get it?
4. Do not end the story by ourself unless you have a popular vote to do so. Like any other rp, you can talk minimally in out of character marks (within brackets, like this), so do your voting there, and make sure most of those currently playing are okay with it.
5. As long as the majority of players don't mind starting over, go ahead!
Here's a sample of the game (each quote would be a post) so you all know what I'm talking about!
generoman
Gene had just started to doze off on his plane ride when the stewardess spilled hot soup all over him.
othergenericman
He went to the bathroom to clean himself up, and heard sudden sound of struggle- the plane was being hijacked!!
generoman
Gene decided to stay as quiet as possible through the flight so that no one would know he was there and he'd remain safe...
thirdwriter
But he changed his mind last minute and burst from the bathroom door, screaming his head off and hoping to catch the hijackers by surprise- but he felt something cold slam into his forehead!
smartalecguy
And he woke up to find that he'd rolled off the bed, into his dresser, on the floor, and his alarm clock had whacked him on the head.
Just like that last writer posted, you can dramatically change the story with merely a sentence. This can prove to be a very fun and challenging game, wherein all of us writers can grow and deal with all kinds of sticky situations, so feel free to put our character in all sorts of weird places, without quite knowing how he'll get out.
And I challenge you all- try not to use magic or too much randomness! We have to know what you're talking about, silly!
