With a soft sigh, the leopard kyunru looked around the room in search of her guardian. "Where did she go? She was right here just a few seconds ago." mumbled Jaenelle.
"Ukiuki thinks that Kana disappeared! She is disguised as a genie after all." said the Pala, sitting on the kyunru's back. She reached up to replace her black wig on top of her small head and then brushed her white and red kimono as if it was dirty. For the occasion she had ask of Kana to get her an halloween costume, she was dressed as a geisha, without the make-up.
The Elderspark creatures were attending an Halloween costume party. They originally arrived with their guardian, Kanashimii, but it seemed like they had lost sight of her. "If only Xennik would get here soon, he would be able to help us look around for her." stated Jaenelle. Being small creatures surrounded by other humans or kinds like Kana, it was hard for them to see anything. As if she heard a magical word, Ukiuki jumped in happiness. "Xennik is coming?" she asked with her squeaky voice. She threw her arms in the air, cheering for her beloved friend. Or so she called him.Jaenelle couldn't help but chuckle. She knew how much Ukiuki liked Xennik. Oh I'm sure Kana will be happy to see him as well! she thought, making her way to the front door.
Anyone that passed by that house would know there was a party going on. The music was so loud that it could be heard from the outside, even with all the windows and doors closed. Only a large pumpkin was light on the front porch.

Xennik had been surprised by the invitation to attend a party. Parties, especially private parties, were usually thinks he politely avoided, being the kind to enjoy curling up with a good book to partying on the weekends. But the invitation had come form Kana, who, due to their busy schedules, he hadn't seen since their first date that summer. He couldn't say no to Kana, especially since he wante dto see her so badly.
Biwa, obviously, said no to accompanying the party. He'd rather be alone and sulk, as usual. Allani, however, was thrilled at the thought of a party.
"I want to be a mermaid princess!" She screamed when he explained the idea of Halloween.
Of course.
So her costume was fairly easy to throw together, seeing as she wore a less-fancied-up version of it everyday.
Xennik debated for hours what he should wear. A costume...
As well as having a hat fetish, he had a mask fetish, so he finally decided on a Phantom of the Opera costume. So he arrived at the party with his face concealed behind a pearl white half-mask, garbed in a romantic-style outfit; loose white shirt gathered at the cuffs and unbuttoned enough to show a bit of his chest (but not too much), black pants tucked into knee-high black boots, and for once no hat. His feather fell down his leg, attached to a decorative belt, his hair loose around his face.
"Wow!" Allani screeched the moment the entered the door, disappearing into the crowd of people before Xennik could stop her.
"Allani!" He sighed. She wasn't one to cause trouble, not on purpose. He really shouldn't worry about her so much...

It didn't take too long for Ukiuki to spot the pala dressed as a mermaid run by. To that point, she had already forgot that since Allani was here, so was Xennik. She was too excited about the fact that she finally had a friend pala to play dress up with! With a little squeak sound, she jumped down of Jaenelle's back and ran after the blue pala.
The kyunru let out another soft sigh as she shook her head. Though she quickly got her thoughts back together, she looked up to notice Xennik standing in the entrance. He seemed to be looking around curiously. Jaenelle was just about to raise her voice to call him when a poof of pink smoke blinded her.
"You're here!" said a familiar voice.
Kana jumped out of the cloud, wrapping her arms around Xennik and holding a glass of fruit punch in one hand. She leaned closer and kissed his cheek, leaving a pink lipstick mark. She then took a step back to look at him, without letting him any chance to put a word in. "You look so handsome! I can't believe you're my date!!" she squealed.
The young woman had a small pink top with golden beads and designs imprinted on it. The pants fit perfectly around her hips and got looser going down to her ankles. She was wearing a pair of golden genie shoes, five bracelets on each arm, large hoop earrings and what looked to be a small golden crown. Just above her ears were small wings that looked to be part of her body, just like her usual devil tail. Which wasn't actually part of her outfit that night. Somehow, she had the ability to hide it along with her horns. And obviously, appear in clouds of pink smoke.
Jaenelle took a few steps closer and cleared her throat to get the attention. "You might want to stop drinking that." she said, moving one of her front paw up to point at her glass of punch. "There's alcohol in there."
"There is?" said Kana, staring at the redish-pink liquid. "Oops!" she giggled.
"I apologise for her behaviors, you might have to put up with this for an hour or so until the effect goes away. I think she's had a few too many." said Jaenelle, smiling lightly a Xennik.

One moment Xennik was looking around to see if he could spot the tell-tale candy-pink locks of his date, the next Kana's arms were around him in a hug that caused his cheeks to flare with a blush. Then she kissed him on the cheek, and before he could even say hello, she'd stepped back and squealed with joy. Xennik wasn't used to so much affection being heaped on him, or being cooed and squealed over.
One look at her and he nearly passed out. The top she wore was hardly larger than a bra, the straps falling off her shoulders in a teasing, tempting way, the pants hugging her hips in a seductive manner that caused Xennik to practically swoon. She looked absolutely gorgeous, her outfit causing the imagination to go wild. The biologist struggled to catch his breath, obviously twitterpated.
He managed to gather his thoughts into a somewhat presentable pattern when Jaenelle pointed out the alcohol. Being a biologist, Xennik knew all about the horrible effects of alcohol and was completely paranoid about it.
"How about I get you some water instead?" Xennik asked gently, sweetly taking the EVIL drink from her hand and holding it as casually out of her reach as he could. He was glad he was taller than she was.

The alcohol had gotten the best of her. She wasn't spacing out, but she exclaimed to be feeling really well. Though it was visibly clear to anyone that might notice, that she was drunk. Kana didn't say a word when Xennik took her glass from her, rather, she leaned against him and looked about the room. "Where did Ukiuki go?" she asked with a curious look on her face.
Jaenelle was about to answer, but was immediately caught off by the pink genie. "Ooh! What's this?!" said Kana with a soft tone of voice, pointing at the pink lipstick mark on Xennik cheek. Obviously not remembering that it was her who put it there, she started rubbing it off gently, making sure not the hurt him. "Xenni-kun! I hope you're not cheating on me!" she said casually, just as if they were officially a couple.
The kyunru rolled her eyes to her guardian's behavior and then pawed at Xennik to get his attention. "I'll be taking my leave. Since you're here, I don't think I have to worry about her anymore." she said with a wink. "Enjoy your evening!" And with that, Jaenelle turned around and walked for the exit, her fluffy tail waving behind her to each of her steps.

Xennik flushed when she closed the distance between their bodies, leaning against him. He felt suddenly like he had a fever.
His expression was one of alarm when she noticed the lipstick on his face. He glanced over at Jaenelle with a helpless look as Kana wiped the lipstick off, mentioning the possibility of him cheating on her.
They were a couple? Was his first thought. The thought was only surprising because of the fact that he hadn't gone steady with anyone for a long time, and it especially hadn't been decided by the second date. He ought to be used to Kana's forwardness by now, all things considering, but it still took him by suprise.
Then Jaenelle abandoned him, and Xennik nearly panicked. He didn't know how to act around someone who was drunk, especially if they were hanging all over him, wearing as little as Kana was.
But once again he managed to pull himself together. "It's crowded in here," he said casually, ignoring her cheating remark. "Want to go outside?" As he spoke, he set the alcohol-contaminated cup aside and wrapped his arm around her, walking with her by his side toward the back door. THIS was EXACTLY why he avoided parties.

Kana didn't seem to realize what was going on around her, she would only see what she wanted to see, leaving everything else unimportant part of the background. When she noticed Jaenelle leaving she waved her hand up high in the air, "Bai bai Jaenelle~" she said with a smile. She then moved one of her arm around Xennik's shoulder for balance, and looked over at him when he mentionned that it was crowded.
With a house this small, and so many people the place made it looked like everything was crunched together. "Okay! Let's go outside." exclaimed Kana, pointing over to the door taking to the backyard. Hopefully, there would be less people out there and she could be alone with Xennik. Not that she actually had all of her mind and senses back to normal yet.

Xennik guided her out the door into the spacious backyard of the house, hoping that the fresh air would help...sober her. There were less people out here, and he felt himself relaxing immediately. Holding her the way he was embarrassed him, his hand touching the bare skin of her side while she leaned against him. He regretted not wearing gloves. At least then he wouldn't seem so desperate. He just really wished that she was in her right mind. Still, he didn't pull away, partly because she'd probably collapse if he did, and partly because...well, it was rather comfortable and actually quite thrilling to hold her like this. So, uncomfortable though he was, he guided her farther away from the house and other people and the lights and the noise and -most importantly- the alcohol.
"Feeling better?" He asked, finally releasing her so they coud sit on a bench he'd located in the shadowy, more private area of the yard.

She let Xennik guide her outside and torwards the back of the backyard. There were only a few people standing outside, but they were just by the door and looked like they were about to go back inside soon enough. Kana sat down on the bench next to her date and slowly felt his arm leave her side. She leaned her head back as if to look up to the sky, but instead, she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, letting the chilly air get into her lungs. She kept silent while she did so a few times in a row.
The young woman than looked down to her hands that were resting on her knees, she seemed to be thinking for a few seconds. The white wings on each side of her head perked back, just like a cat would do with its ears. "I apologise." The words escaped her lips almost like a whisper. She didn't look at him, her gaze remained on her hands as if she was investigating her perfectly manicured finger nails. She smiled lightly, "Halloween is really bad for me. I have such a big sweet tooth, I can hardly control myself when I'm around sweet tasting things." she explained. "And that fruit punch was very sweet."
Kana looked at Xennik to her side. Her cheeks were flushed of a hot pink, indicating that the alcohol was still taking effect on her. But her actions and words seemed to be coming back to normal at a slow pace. She smiled softly, looking into his eyes, hoping that she hadn't scared him too much.

Xennik let the silence last. He didn't know what to say. He'd never been in a situation like this before, sitting alone in the dark with a drunk woman that, when sober, was incredibly attractive. He didn't speak until she did, and then he felt bad. She sounded so upset. He turned towards her with one of his easy, gorgeous smiles. "That's alright, Kana. I'm not mad." Acting on pure impulse, he gently took her chin in his hand, thumb resting just below her bottom lip. "We all have our weaknesses." He said with a smile almost like a grin.

Right there she wondered how she could resist such manners. They had been apart for what felt to her like forever, and now he was right there, just a few inches away. Kana wanted to lean over and have a taste of his lips, but he didn't look found of alcohol, therefore she decided against it. He would probably be able to taste it from her lips if they kissed.
Instead, she placed her hands around his wrist and leaned her cheek into his warm palm. She closed her eyes for a short moment, enjoying the feeling of his caress. When she opened them up, she looked right back into his and couldn't help but smile. Kana then let her hands hold his as they fell back to rest on her knees once more.
"It's crazy how we only spent one night together... yet I had you glued in my mind all this time." she said, looking down at their hands.
She looked up at Xennik with a small smile, but a serious look in her eyes. "I missed you." she said softly.
Kana wasn't too sure if it was the alcohol doing this to her. Even though she knew her feelings were true, she probably wouldn't have had the guts to say it out loud so easily. At least one good think came out of the fruit punch.

Xennik laughed softly in appreciation for what she'd just said. Something about her just made him loosen up, made all of his worrying just flit away. All he wanted to be around her was happy.
And as close to her as he could possibly get, but those were far more carnal thoughts than the happiness...he felt his cheeks growing warm with a blush. How did she constantly manage to do this to him? They had barely spent any time together, and already his mind was running wild and his heart was fluttering in his chest. He never thought he'd ever find anyone attractive after seieng them drunk, but she was still as beautiful as always, especially now that she was sobering up.
With his free hand he pulled the half-mask from his face (it was making him hot anyway), and let it fall from his fingers to the grass beside the bench. He leaned forward, giving in to a temptation just as she had with the punch. "I missed you, too." He murmurred, as he gently pushed his lips against her cheek. His kiss landed a little low, to the point where he almost kissed her on the neck. He'd never kissed anyone on the neck before. He had always thought of it as something of a violation, kind of gross and a bit lewd. But now, nothing seemed like a better idea, and nothing seemed more inviting and sexy to him. Amazed by all of the impulses he was giving in to, but thrilled and excited at the same time, he leaned closer, kind of kneeling now, keeping himself up with his hand on her knee, and buried his face in her warm neck, gently kissing the soft, sensitive skin. He actually enjoyed the naughty little thrill that shot through him.

If she wasn't already blushing hard due to the alcohol, Kana would have blushed right then when he took off his mask and looked at her with the sweetest smile. His words flew right into her just like the chilly breeze and she shivered lightly as Xennik got closer. She felt her heart beat faster and a wave of butterfly took over her stomach. When his lips finally touched her skin, she couldn't help but close her eyes and lean in closer to him. The wings to the sides of her head perked up lightly as he then kissed her neck.
For the first time in a very long time, Kana wasn't too sure what to do. Should she move her arms around him? Run her fingers through his raven black hair? Or just stay seated like this and let him have his way with her? Many things were going through her mind, but when she realized they were keeping her attention away from him, she pushed the thoughts away and focused on Xennik. Kana let a soft sigh escape her lips, enjoying the moment.

One kiss wasn't enough. He leaned in closer to her, acting far more sensual than he could ever remember having acted before, and kissed her neck again. And again. And again, enjoying the effect he was having on her. His free hand moved to her side, gently drawing her nearer as he continued nuzzling her neck.
Then he realized what he was doing and pulled away in horror. What had he just done? "I'm sorry." He stammered, obviously embarrassed. "I got carried away." He was upset. What was wrong with him? He was being the complete opposite of a gentleman! Coming on to her that way...what had gotten into him? And she was still under the influence, for crying out loud! Was he really so starved for attention...?

Kana didn't move, she let him do what he wanted and she didn't mind at all. She wasn't the kind to jump in a man's arms if she didn't like him. As a matter of fact, Xennik was a special case. She had a tendacy to be very picky when it came to people she liked. On a general basis, Kanashimii was friendly to everyone she met, but being friendly and nice didn't mean she liked the person right away, she was on a neutral level with them. Due to past experiences, it would usually take a lot for someone to earn her trust. Xennik had gotten hers after spending just a few hours with her, which was very uncommon.
Kana opened her eyes when Xennik pulled away. She smiled lightly as he apologised and then shook her head. "No, no! It's alright." she said. "You don't have to apologise at all." She wanted to say more to him, but decided against it. Perhaps now wasn't the best time. Instead, she took one of his hand into hers and lifted his arm up. She sat closer and leaned against him, moving his arm around her shoulders with her fingers interlaced with his. Kana kissed his cheek gently and then leaned her head against his shoulder to look up to at the stars. There were no need to words at the moment, actions did enough.
