Emperor Fassith, of the House Kafael, opened his eyes and breathed. The Emperor was in his full regalia. Black, gold, and blue were rampant.

The floor itself was marble white. A vast contrast to the walls, columns, and ceiling. Gold inlay was present on everything. Everything from the Kelswarren's armor that were his personal guard, to the massive logo of the Midnight Throne on the floor.

He looked up at the vast hallway to the doors that could accomodate a Dragon.

"Bring in the Invasion Leaders." He intoned in the silent throne room.

Mallus calmly walked in, his usual guards that had accompanied him since their crafting silently waiting in their place outside. Stepping inside his robes moving in sync with the armor he always wore, though his double-headed scythe was absent, as befitting the situation. Stepping inside he was unaffected by the splendor of the room and the beings inhabiting it as he had seen it many times before. Stopping where appropriate to address the emperor he bowed, "Greetings Emperor, how have you been since we last talked?" Mallus was always a bit... off, in his own way.

Izanami strode past the open doors, the clinking of her battle armor made all the more louder by the silence in the throne room. The glaive that became her trademark was nowhere in sight. Spotting Mallus there, Izanami gave him a quick, hidden glance before she turned her focus towards the emperor.

She lowered her head in reverence and bent down on one knee. “My emperor, I have come as commanded,” she intoned, respect echoing in her voice. “I am sorry for my tardiness. I wanted to be sure that I was presentable before coming before you.”

The Emperor nodded and stared at the two Invasion Leaders through his helm.

"Thank you for coming." He said. He looked at the two and nodded. "I would like to remind the two of you that what you are doing is for the Empire, not for yourselves." His black eyes flashed as his gaze fell on them.

"While I am giving you a great many troops and philosophers, along with few limits on what you do, to accomplish what I have laid out for you. Remember that very well, Leaders, and you will not feel the Emperor's Touch."

Two Kelswarren silently approached the two from behind and ran their hands along the back of the two Invasion Leaders' necks. They just as silently retreated back to their positions.

"There is another, but she is a special case. Go. Attend to the final preparations, and know that you, Mallus and Izanami, are the Emperor's Finest."

((Sexual harassment! I want a lawsuit!))

Mallus bowed again thanking the Emperor for this words before glancing at Izanami and moving to leave and rejoin his creations and rearm himself so as to continue with his own preparations. First though, he decided that he would talk with Izanami about what she has done and will be doing to better focus his own efforts and meet any needs the army might have in particular.

Izanami rose up from her position. “As you command, my emperor,” Izanami said as she gave a deep bow. “I will attend to my duties now.” Turning about, she walked out the giant open doors of the throne. She took only a few steps outside the door before she spotted the mysterious Mallus. Izanami only knew a few things about Mallus, but he had a mountain of rumors floating about him. And most of them didn’t portray Mallus with a halo of goodness on top of his head.

“Mallus, what are you still doing here?” Izanami asked.

Mallus smiled in a friendly manner at Izanami, he knew what was probably passing through her head. It was after-all what most had passing through their heads when they interacted with him should they not know him well. "I wish to have a more in-depth discussion with you about the preparations and how we might... work together more closely, and efficiently. Undoubtedly with our upcoming plans we will be working together closely at the very least on occasion and it would be far more efficient if we knew both each-other and how the other opperates."

Izanami stared at the man for a few moments before nodding her head. “Yes, the most efficient way to organize our soldiers would be to work together.” She idly scratched her head with her gloved hands, the metallic feel giving an almost satisfying feeling to her sudden itch. “When should we start working on the preparations?” Izanami asked. “There isn’t much time left before we have to start the invasion.”

Mallus smirked ever so slightly, though if one didn't know him it would be mistaken for a slight smile. "Oh, I'd imagine the sooner the better given that we don't have much time as you have said. I imagine it would also help to put certain people... more at ease with my presence, hm?" Again Mallus smirked, his reputation as the unknown, with rumors to put anxiety in others were usually rather amusing to him, however given the situation it would probably be advisable to clear things up... for one or two people anyways.

“Certain people?” Izanami asked, raising an eyebrow. “Would it be anybody that I know? Or perhaps you are talking about...” She shook her head slightly, a small frown appearing on her face. “It’s not my business to ask. Anyways, I think we should start on the plan immediately. Any objections?” Izanami asked.

Mallus chuckled slightly at Izanami's apparent confusion at his words. "I have no objections to beginning immediately. In fact I agree with the thought, as to your... other question, I believe the answer would be number two." After all, it wouldn't do for her to be weary of me during this invasion, it could cause problems.... and weakness in it's own way.

Izanami merely quirked an eyebrow at him. “Number two? Do you always speak in riddles or is that an act to become the center of gossip?” Shaking her head slightly, she motioned toward the walkway. “In any case, let’s go and start preparing. Our time is limited as it is. We have no more time to waste here,” Izanami said as she started walking away.

A Kelswarren in the Emperor's colors appeared behind them.

"Excuse me, My Lord and Lady. New orders from the Emperor. These are on the side and are not on the record, thus, keep these to yourself and only your trusted aides."

He handed each of them a scroll and walked away silently.

The orders were as read:

It has come to my attention that a certain Auren Shiro, personal Kelswarren to the last Warden Emperor is in Esperanza. It would do wise for the two of you to either find and eliminate him, confirm that he is disposed of, or the best option. Bring him back here. Do not tell any other Houses of these orders. The Emperor's Hand would definitely touch you then.

The Emperor's Seal was on the scroll, along with his flowing signature.

Izanami paused mid-step, spinning around on the ball of her feet to face the messenger. “Now what? A dragon falling on top of the emperor?” Blowing out a sigh, Izanami took the offered scroll.

Unrolling the parchment, she read the orders written on the scroll. “Auren Shiro…” She whispered to herself. Rolling the scroll up, she clipped it closed before giving Mallus a glance. “Mallus, what do you make of this Auren Shiro? A former Kelswarren won’t be easy to kill. Or find, for that matter. Even though the emperor wants him captured, if he is anything like the present Kelswarren, capturing him isn’t an option.” Izanami closed her eyes and brushed her hair back with her gauntlet. “In any case, the former Kelswarren is second priority. Our main priority is the invasion.”

"Hm, yes. Capturing one such as him would certainly present numerous challenges, especially given the thought of his skill. If we were to do so it would undoubtedly need to be a joint operation. With time for preparation numerous warding circles an spells of ensnarement could be carved into the area to dramatically increase their strength. However you are certainly correct, while certainly important and maybe on of the most important figures for us... he is still that, only one man. On the other hand if he is there he could potentially pose a small problem recognizing us and having a good idea of how we work and how to try to counter us."
