Battlefield RANDOMIZER!
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE GRASS FIELD! The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land.

Luna walked into the stadium, no longer as nervous as her first battle, but still anxious nonetheless. She waved to her opponent, a girl she had never seen before. "Hello there! This will be a one on one casual battle, first pokemon to get knocked out loses. Are those rules fine with you?" She asked.
Like always, she started to unclip a pokeball from one of her leg straps and pressed the white center button. The ball enlarged to three times its usual size before a red beam of light came out, slowly turning into a Pidgeotto.
Pidgeotto circled the arena in the air, stretching his wings. His eyes sharp and ready for battle.

"The rules are fine with me. They're what I battle by anyway." Piney yoinked a Pokeball from her belt and threw it into the air.
The orb let loose a red light and it took the form of an Espeon, silently staring at her flying foe.
((What's with that dice roll? *pokes*))

The decision was made that Daybreak would attack first, and she wasted no time executing it.
"Start things out with a Shadow ball!" Piney commanded.
Daybreak fixed her stare onto the Pidgeotto and the purple gem gleamed. A dark ball of energy materialized and blasted at it.

((Technically, since Pidgeotto is part normal according to the cert, the attack wouldn't affect him, but let's ignore that!))
"Pidgeotto, let's break through it with wing attack!" Luna shouted.
Pidgeotto gave a battlecry to let Luna know he had heard her. Then, he swooped right into the large energy ball and straight to Daybreak with wings stretched wide.

Daybreak let out a squeal and held her ground. At least the grass provided good traction.
Seeing that Shadow ball wouldn't do much in this battle, Piney ordered another attack. "Let's try Swift!"
The gem shined again and this time, a bunch of sparkly stars appeared. Daybreak glanced at the Pidgeotto and launched them with a single though.

((I'm finding this highly ironic. Swift, with 100 percent accuracy, missed rofl ))
The wind in the arena picked up alittle, blowing Luna's hair backwards. "Pidgeotto! This is a nice wind! Let's go with a quick attack!"
Pidgeotto let out another one of his noise confirmations before disappearing from sight and reappearing at another closer to the espeon. Then he moved again, closer and closer, carefully dodging the barage of spars before heading in to slice the Espeon again.

The Espeon braced herself from the Quick Attack and got struck on the shoulder. She hurriedly shook off the damage and awaited the next order.
Daybreak at the advantage of attacking first but was quickly losing it after that miss. Another miss would put the opponents ahead even more.
"Use Psychic!" Piney shouted, knowing that the move didn't miss often.
Daybreak concentrated, closing her eyes and tracking the flying foe with her mind. When she was ready, she unleashed a humming blast of psychic energy.

Luna had little experience with psychic attacks, so when she saw Pidgeotto knocked back by an unknown force, she panicked a bit.
Pidgeotto was surprised when energy rammed into him. He was knocked back into a patch of grass, but immediately got up and flew into the air again.
"Let's try avoiding that in the future somehow Pidgeotto. But for now, Twister!"
Pidgeotto silently circled around Espeon. Slow at first, and then faster and faster with even sharper turns, creating a large twister near the Espeon.

Daybreak was blinded by some grass that had loosened and covered her eyes. When she managed to shake it off, she was too late to prevent the oncoming tornado. The hard gust of wind knocked her from the ground and a few meters backwards.
Piney saw that the wind was blowing towards the bird Pokemon now, judging from the blades of grass. She realized that it was a better time than any to try the Swift attack now.
"Swift attack again!"
Daybreak summoned the stars again and turned to her opponent. Willing herself to not miss this time, she flung them at him.

(( This is a total beatdown xd ))
Pidgeotto was about to dodge the incoming stars again when the wind sent them into a completely opposite direction, boomeranging back to hit him. Pidgeotto took the attack to his wing, blood coming out of them.
"Pidgeotto, let's throw them right back at Espeon! Gust!"
Weakly, Pidgeotto flapped its wings, creating a gale and knocking the stars out of his wings and into the gale right at Espeon.

The move took Daybreak by surprise, and was too startled to dodge. The stars slashed her across her back, and she flinched silently.
Piney was extremely worried about her Pokemon, but could see that the Pidgeotto was weakening. She gripped the railing and yelled out a command.
"Hidden Power!"
Daybreak reached to the back of her mind where the energy behind the move came from. Fiery orbs appeared around her, floating, and she unleased the Hidden Power in all directions.
