Battleground RANDOMIZER!
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ROCK FIELD! Tremors rippled forth from center-field as the basic floor shifted to a rock and dirt field, rock towers jutted forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an attack advantage. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirred the loose sand on the field, this creates a mini sandstorm that could possibly blind those who were battling.

"Hey JanJan!" Luna waved cheerfully to Janette, now using the new nickname she thought up for her. "Haven't seen you since the pokemon center! Thanks for replying to my mail, its always fun to battle the same people again."
She unclipped a familiar red pokeball from her leg strap and pressed the center white button, enlarging it into three times its usual size. Then, from a red beam of light, Pidgeotto emerged and flapped into the air.
"It'll be a one on one casual battle again, first pokemon knocked out wins. Erm...unless you want to do first person with their whole team knocked out wins." Luna suggested.

"Hey there Luner!" She replied with a giggle at her own little nickname. "It's always a pleasure to battle a great opponent! But don't get your hopes in a bunch! Because I have a brand NEW pokemon!" She called out with a definate nod. "Meet... NANOOK!" She shouted as she released her newest companion, Venna, the vulpix, was now begging to be held so she could see the nintales battle.
Nanook shook it's head and flicked it's tails, looking as graceful as ever. Letting out a regal, "Nine!" he prepared himself.

((Psssh. Wasn't it you who I battled with and we kept repeatedly rolling ones? ANYTHING is possible after that xd ))
"I plan to win again this time!" Luna stated. "Let's get this started! Pidgeotto, rip up the field with a twister!"
Pidgeotto yelled out a battlecry, spinning around in the air in a circle. First he started off at a medium speed, then faster. And faster. And faster. Soon, a large tornado was created, heading straight for the ninetales.

"Hold your ground Nanook!!" Jenette hollared, not wanting her new companion to be lifted up and thrown... that would be bad on this rocky field.
Nanook nodded and dug his claws in, lowering his head as the twister spirlared around him. He was lifted a little and soon ripped off the ground. When it disappeared he was halfway in the air and landed hard on his feet.
"Way to take one fo rthe team Nookie!" Jenette cheered. "How counter that attack with a new twister! Give that bird a fire spin!!"
Nanook lifted his tails and they spread out, opening his jaw the flames burst out, spinning directly at the bird pokemon.

"Let's show them how to really break through twisters, shall we? Brave bird!" Luna shouted.
Pidgeotto started to gain a faint glow around himself. Bristling with energy, Pidgeotto used a strong tailwind to fly right into the center of the flaming twister, obtaining minimum damage. While getting closer and closer to the Ninetales, Pidgeotto grew brighter and brighter until he was radiating with energy. And then, stopped midflight right infront of Nanook and released the energy right infront of his face to make a clone of itself in energy-form. 700/800

Before Nanook could even react the attact hit him full blast and he was set flying backwards. Although he was thrown up a little he threw back to go into a back flip then skidded to a halt.
Jenette was amazed with Nanook's abilities that she had to shake he head free of awe to figure out what he should do now. "Give that Pidgeotto and it's energy clones a flamethrower!"
Again the ninetales took the same stance but his tails were drooped as the string of fire shot towards the bird pokemone.

((Pssst, it was only one clone xd ))
"Fire's not going to stop us JanJan! Pidgeotto, break through again, wing attack!"
Pidgeotto gave a "Geooo!" of acknowledment to the command and flew into the line of fire, breaking through the initial fire with his beak and pressing his wings as far back as possible into a V formation so that the fire would do minimum damage. He headed straight to Nanook with his eyes closed, using the intensity of the flame as the only indicator of where the firefox was. 600/800

((And who said that attack might not come again? Ohhh!!! *diss...* lol j/k!))
"Break off the flame and headbutt!" Jenette called, seeing the bird travel up the flame precisely to where her ninetales was standing.
Nanook cut off the flame soon enough to make the Pidgeotto stall for a second. And with that second he jumped to the side, the attack flying past him, and he came back on the bird and aimed a headbutt to his side.
