It's a continuation of the Atelier series. ^_^
The battle system used in Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm, is the same one that's used in this game.
You can actually play as Pamela in this game! xd
You can watch the intro under the "Game Opening's" topic. ^_^

It means something like: The Ghost Ibunroku or Exagerated Spectral Ibunroku. Something like that. I tried translating it.

Unfortunately, most of the games made by GUST are rarely released outside of Japan.
The Atelier Iris and Ar Tonelico series's were a first.
Although, they have released newer versions of they're old games in the past.
Unfortunately, once again, not outside of Japan.
My hopes are that they will make remakes of all they're games, outside of Japan, for the PS2.
Especially: The Atelier Series and this game.
I think it would be awesome to play Atelier Marie with the Atelier Iris style and battle system! ^_^
