Ok, so here's the thing. I recently got one of my dream dolls, and I think they sent the worst eye size for her... I have no idea what they sent... probably 18mm...? But I want to know... what the general thoughts are on it??? please help!!!

If you bought Soony from eLuts, she probably comes with 18mm. I don't know if it's the angle of the picture or anything.... but she seems to have VERY. LARGE. EYES. xd Depend on your taste, I would suggest that if you have any other doll owners around your area you can ask them to loan you either 16mm or 20mm and try those out before purchasing. Or you can post pic request on doll forums asking for other Soony owners' help. ^^ Good luck! heart

16mm will make her look really really bug eyed since she has large eyewells. She'll look very surprised, like a deer caught in headlights. 20mm will probably work best.

Also repositioning her eyes helps when it comes to 'deer-in-the-head-lights' syndrome. Just moving their eyes can sometimes make them seem smaller and less spooky-staring at you kinda way.

My boy's eyes are currently at an angle, because that's how they went in nicely. Or he just wants them that way...

It also doesn't help that I made the eyes myself...out of polymer clay.

thank you for the helpful comments! I think I'm gonna try some 20mm and repositioning. I've just never had a doll with such large eyewells before!

I know that on the LUTS web site that they say 20mm but if thoughts are 18mm WOW you might want to try 16mm just to see what you like best.

I'd say those are probably 20mms... I've seen 18mms in Soony and it just doesn't look quite right- too small. I'd say try changing the eye position with the ones she has and if you still aren't satisfied get some cheap eyes in other sizes to test how they fit before splurging on a really nice pair. I've alwsys liked Soony and I hope you'll be happy with your girl's eyes soon! ^__^
