Name: Articuno Name origin: Arctic + uno (one), the name of the pokemon he's based on Species: cosplay griffin Obtained by: October event dice game RP color: royalblue
Personality: Though he may come off as antisocial, in truth he's more indifferent. He tends to give others the cold shoulder at first meeting, but if someone interesting him he might thaw a bit and be more sociable.
Background: Articuno's egg was laid in the middle of a particularly cold and harsh winter. It snowed almost constantly, and his parents' makeshift den, an abandoned house, did little to protect from the elements. As a result, one of his siblings froze before it even hatched. His other sibling nearly froze to death several times during their first winter, and was sickly for years afterward. Articuno, however, thrived in the frozen climate, and even hatched in the middle of a blizzard. Though his parents were puzzled, they were happy to have at least one healthy chick and carfully cared for him, so he quickly grew big and strong. Forever afterward, Articuno enjoyed coldness, and especially winter.
Other info:He made himself a den in one of the upper floors of an old office building. The den has one large open room that he enters by flying through the broken plate class window. He scooped as much of the glass shards as he could out the window, and pushed all the furnature off to the sides, so the majority of the space is clear. His nest is in an adjouining smaller room, which he broke down part of the wall to get to. His bedding is made from cushions he gathered from the furnature in the two rooms, and blankets, coats, and other materials he gathered from wherever he could find him. The lot is shredded into a cozy pile, which he occasionally adds to or removes particularly dirty bits of. He enjoys flying, and will often be seen soaring for the fun of it. He tends to be out more often on cold days, or at least cloudy ones.
About the creature he's a cosplay of: Articuno is a legendary bird pokemon with ice-based abilities. For more info check here.
Open for RP: Yes! Open for breeding: You're welcome to try. It might take a while for another kimera to interest him enough that he'd be willing to.

Name: Fai Name Origin: named after the character he's a cosplay of Species: cosplay griffin Obtained by: October event feather hunt RP color: goldenrod
Personality: Generally happy-go-lucky and carefree, Fai can almost always be seen wearing a smile. He is known to have more solemn moments, however.
Background: Fai and Kurogane were produced in a lab that was trying to create Kimeras that ate little or nothing, in order to make them easier to care for. Fai was a partial success; due to a very efficient digestive system and metabolism, he only needed to eat a small amount of food every few days. Unfortunately, he had very specific nutritional needs, so the scientists had to create a compound of exactly the nutrients he needed to survive. Fai could eat only this, since his body would reject anything else. Kurogane had a similar digestive system, but still needed to eat approximately the same amount of food as a normal raptor.
The lab was later destroyed, and the two Kimeras fled together. They already knew that Fai had a very specific diet and searched desperately for something he could stomach. The two tried everything they could find, with no luck.
By late in the fourth day after their escape, Fai was weak with hunger. He was holed up in the makeshift den they were living out of while Kurogane was out trying to find something new for Fai to try eating. A failed experiment that had been released from the lab earlier stumbled across Fai, and realizing he was nearly helpless, it attacked him head-on. It had clawed up his face and eaten his left eye before Kurogane returned. He rushed in and fought off the attacker, but was heavily wounded in the process, resulting in the loss of his left arm.
As Kurogane chased the attacker away, Fai vaguely noticed that something smelled edible. Half delirious from pain and hunger, he stumbled around until he reached a pool of Kurogane’s blood on the floor and began weakly lapping it up. He went slowly at first, then more enthusiastically when his body didn’t immediately reject it. Kurogane came back to the den to find Fai licking up the last of the blood, then collapsing and falling asleep.
The next day when Fai woke up, he was feeling better than he had in days. Well, aside from the head wound, which Kurogane had attempted to treat by pressing some cloth to it to try to stop the bleeding. He had done the same for his own wound, as there was little else they could do. They managed to find a doctor, who treated and bandaged their wounds properly. He also gave Fai an eyepatch as some sort of weird joke.
It took the two of them a little while to figure out that Fai could gain nutrition from Kurogane’s blood, which, due to the experiment that had created them, somehow contained a reasonable approximation of the compound Fai ate in the lab. Fai was reluctant at first to dine on his friend’s blood, vaguely suggesting that they could find something else he could eat. But Kurogane insisted, willingly taking up the role of Fai’s only food source. So every four or five days, Fai drinks about a pint of Kurogane’s blood.
Relations: friends with Kurogane
Minion: Mokona the jackalope
Other info:If Fai’s particularly active he needed to eat more often, and if he was very inactive, such as if he did almost nothing but rest, he could go without eating for almost a week.
Also due to the experiment they originated from, they both have slightly elevated healing rates. This helps Kurogane reproduce the blood he loses regularly, and helped Fai heal from the attack that cost him his eye.
They later found a few foods that Fai could stomach, but he gains little to no nutrition from them.
About the character he's a cosplay of: Fai D. Flowright (altrenate spelling: Fay D. Flouright) is one of the main protagonists of the anime and manga "Tsubasa Chronicle." For more information check here.
Open for RP: yes (particularly if Kurogane can join in, too razz ) Open for breeding: if you're interested, talk to me. I'm gonna be a bit picky with him if he ever breeds. (And you might need to get past Kurogane too)

Names: (furred head) Ira, (snake head) Zabi, (both) Zabira Name Origins: means "thorn", means "snake tail" Species: -unknown- Gender: Physically female, but only Ira considers herself to be female, and speaks in a female voice. Zabi considers himself to be male, and speakes in a male voice. Obtained by: October event coloring/design contest RP colors: both - darkorange, Ira - orangered, Zabi - sandybrownPersonality: Ira is generally calm and reasonably friendly as long as someone isn't overtly hostile. She's fairly inquisitive and will often help someone else if the task sounds interesting and she has nothing better to do. Zabi, on the other hand, distrusts everything that moves and many things that don't. He is constantly alert and frequently advises Ira to be more cautious and less trusting. If it were up to him, he'd probably attack everyone else on sight so they couldn't attack him first. Background: In one of the many labs in the ruins of a once-great city, there resided scientist. And like many of the other scientists in said city, this once was determined to created kimera. Unlike many of those scientists, however, he was unable to create a single one.
His first experiment was to combine a snake and a feline. He figured it would be an easy enough task, since others had combined them time and time again to successfully create kimera. Full of optimism and looking forward to his supposedly imminent success, he set the two to combine. His experiment produced a deformed creature with parts of both creatures sticking every which way. It died moments after creation, but not before various parts of it twitched, pulsed, and attempted to draw gurgling breaths in a rather nauseating fashion.
The scientist was shocked, but certain that it was only an isolated mistake and repeated the experiment, with similar results. He tried is several more times, always unsuccessfully, then tried to combine other creatures; at first other common combinations, then more unusual ones. Each attempt produced only failure. A few creations actually looked like cohesive combinations, and managed to live for a period of time, whether it was days or just hours. But all had internal problems that they eventually died from.
The scientists managed to present these few semi-surviving specimens as “proof” that his skill was improving, and so for a time earned money from various sponsors to continue his work. But after a few years without creating a kimera that lived over a week or so he was deemed a failure and was unable to gather any more support.
By this time the scientist was working out of a small, run-down lab in a mostly abandoned part of the city, since he had been using most of his diminishing money to fund his experiments instead of upkeep for the lab. He was down to the last of his materials and had little hope of success, but figured he may as well make one last attempt at creating a kimera. He started with one last snake, added some parts of gorillas, foxes, and a couple other mammals, then threw in a bunch of random DNA samples he had lying around. Steeling himself for failure, he set them to combine.
Once the process was done, the scientist looked into the chamber where the result of his experiment was contained. It was sprawled on the floor, its limbs and heads – two heads – lying all in different directions. It seemed mostly intact, but there were many yellow spikes jutting out of it, which in the dim light of the poorly-lit lab looked like protruding yellowed spines of bone to him. From his past experiments, he’d seen that creations with bone sticking through the skin rarely survive long. It lay still, except for the smaller, snake-like head, which slowly rose and looked around, seemingly very alive and curious. Seeing this positive sign of life, the scientist allowed himself to hope for a moment that this one might live. Then the creature shuddered and convulsed violently for a few moments, and when it stopped the snake head fell lifelessly to the floor.
That sort of shuddering had happened before, usually when some internal organs ruptured violentlyor some similarly nasty death. He was positive now that the creature was yet another failure. His last hope gone, the scientist was smothered with despair. In a fit of depression, he hurled himself out the nearest window, falling several stories to smash into the broken cement below.
However, his creation was very much alive, and trying to come to terms with existence. Both of the kimera’s heads had a brain capable of independent thought and action. It had no trouble moving when only one head tried to move, which was when the snake head was looking around. But when both heads had simultaneously tried to control the body, they inadvertently tried to direct it in different directions. The body tried and failed to follow the two conflicting sets of directions, resulting in the seizure-like spasms as the muscles protested.
Both heads simply lay there for a moment, trying to recover. Finally they became aware they there was another mind in this body they inhabited. While the snake head wondered what to make of this, the larger furred head attempted to contact it. Initially communication was clumsy at best, and the snake head tried to retaliate at the presence suddenly “invading” its mind, giving both of them headaches. Slowly they got better at conveying themselves, and eventually conversed mind-to-mind with relative ease. Once they’d both established that they had no idea who they where, where they where, how they got there, and why they were both in the same body (somehow they were both fairly certain that a body generally had one mind), they tried to figure out what to do about it.
They decided to try moving again, and agreed that only one of them should try moving at a time, so they decided to take turns controlling the body. The furred head went first, and after a couple tries was able to sit up, then stand. At this point both minds realized that the head and neck they were housed in was under their sole control, and it was the rest of the body that they shared. They took advantage by examining different things at the same time as they explored the small lab.
They did not know what the various pieces of scientific equipment did. Once they’d decided it didn’t seem edible and poking it did nothing interesting, they left it mostly alone (though they didn’t care if the weird things broke when their legs or tail hit them.) There were a few books in the lab, and although they couldn’t read, between the two of them they could puzzle out some of the pictures and diagrams. As most were science books, they were also deemed uninteresting (and inedible.)
While the contents of the lab interested them for a while, it was rather sparse, and they soon ran out of things to examine. The scientist had lived in a room attached to the lab, which the kimera also explored. After figuring out how to open doors and drawers, they quickly decided that the most interesting thing in the room was the fridge and boxes containing food. They eagerly dug into whatever they could reach, but quickly found that the snake head could only stand the taste of meat and some dairy products, while the furred head could only eat plant products and junk food. They divided up the foods appropriately and resumed eating.
They stayed in the lab-apartment for a little while, mostly spending the time eating, sleeping in the remains of the scientist’s bed (a mattress and blankets on the floor, which they happily shredded into something they found more comfortable), and getting used to sharing a body with another mind. After a few days the food ran out, so they broke down the door to the lab (and a bit of the surrounding wall, since they were a bit too big to fit through the door) and wandered through the building until they found the stairwell, walked down it and left the building.

Name: Mr. Buttons Name Origin: something random mew named the snowman she created for the contest Species: Raptor Obtained by: Winter Event snowman contest RP color: darkviolet
Personality: Easygoing, friendly and rather dim. Can always be found with a goofy grin on his face. Has an odd tendancy to compulsively collect buttons. His vest has a couple of pockets, where he stashes any buttons he pick up. But he doesn't do anything in particular with them, or care much if they fall out of his pockets.
Background: Mr. Buttons was created in a genetics lab, and like many other kimera created in the same place, he was intented to be a pet. He was bought by a married couple who specifically asked for a very amiable kimera to be a pet for their young daughter. They recieved the friendliest (and stupidest) raptor that the scientists had.
The little girl was delighted to recieve the snow-white baby raptor, and promptly named him Mr. Buttons after a well-worn plush snowman that was her favorite toy. She even insisted that her mom make the raptor a hat and vest to match the toy. Mr. Buttons happily wore the items and was perfectly happy to follow the girl around and play with her, and even (when he was bigger) allowed her to ride him.
However, the other raptors that had been created in the lab and sold to humans were less pleased about being treated as inferior animals. Many of them escaped their humans, often violently, and as a pack tracked down other raptors from the same lab in order to free them. They eventually found Mr. Buttons and attacked the humans who owned him in order to free him. The little girl was killed, and her parents badly injured while the raptors ushered Mr. Buttons out of the house. He obediently went with them, not really understanding or caring what was happening to the humans.
The raptors soon realized that the dim-witted raptor wasn't worth the trouble. They tried to rid him of his clothing, but he stubbornly retained them, more because he liked the buttons than for any sentimental reason. They tried to train him to fight, or hunt, or do anything useful, but he didn't have the mental capacity to learn anything. They eventually abandoned him in disgust, and he happily waved goodbye to them as they left.
Somehow, despite his lack of survival skills, he's managed to get by the the ruins of Neo York. He has no den, clan, or territory, and mostly wanders aimlessly, stopping to look at pretty things or play childish games with himself, and tries to make friends with anyone who approaches.
Minion: Patches the kat
Other info: His design is based on this snowman.
