The brown and white, daddy-look-a-like had wiggled away from the ever watchful eye of her loving parents. She seemed to be doing that a lot, sneaking away that is. Tizona loved being around her family and the cubs that her parents babysat but sometimes the cub had to escape so that she could be alone or at least away from busyness of everyone around her.
Even though the female loved playing, goofing off and being in large groups she liked solitude. Time to herself, which was exactly what she was seeking now. She walked with her back straight and her yellow eyes ever scanning her surroundings in case she decided suddenly that she wanted to play and could just pick someone to play with.
Tizona's ears flickered with the rustle of the grass as the wind blew by her ruffling her fur. Her tail flicked back and forth as she moved forward, her paws lightly touching the grass beneath her so she could be evasive, sneaky and sly if she needed to.
Suddenly she had the urge to act like some kind of spy, rolling in an out of places and sneaking up on people and staying discreet.
Hmmm....perhaps she have to try that later today, for now she just wanted to walk along.

Zeki panted heavily, slightly sweaty and worked up from his hunt. Before him was the thing he caught. He looked down with it with half pride and half humiliation and embarassment. How could it have been so hard? It was fast, but it did not fight back. It dodged easily and that was what really tuckered the male out. In the end, it was dead and it was over. He panted and looked about around him, the herds moved around as if this one had not mattered to them. With one last slink of his claw, he cut it one last time just to make sure so it doesn't just up and get away.
Hyperventalating, he flopped onto his back and let air freely move from lung to air and vice versia. He had to catch his breath before he headed back to the den where the family was waiting. It wasn't a big kill but it was big enough just for him so they did not need to share. He would have caught something bigger like a small antelope or something but those were hard already. The kudu hunt ended bad with a scary alpha chasing him away. Those horns are big... and quite intimidating. So he was stuck with what he caught.
"I wonder what Dad is doing..." he murmured, looking up the open sky, his chest heaving and his nostrils flaring. "I wonder what Safuma is doing..."

Tizona was padding along rather mellow, compared to her normal behavior, when she caught sight of another off in the distance. She could see his frame rather easily, so she wasn't too off, and she could tell he was close to his age, or looked like it.
Suddenly she had adrenaline pumping and she could no longer resist the urger to be SPY lion. Quickly she darted off to the side, throwing herself into the shadows of a tree with a roll, in case he looked her way. She had to surprise the other at least. Once behind the tree she extended her claws and busied herself with climbing the tree, just like that one male had taught her when he had taught her to 'fly'.
Scrambling up to the closest, sturdy branch she stood on it rather wobbly before she caught her balance and edged out farther so she could get a better view on him and 'spy' on him.
Laughter bubbled up inside her throat and she swallowed trying to keep it down, she couldn't give herself away, if she had she'd be a terrible spy. However a bit of laughter erupted from her maw before she clamped her paws of it and sunk down as close as she could to the branch.

Zeki looked down at his catch and shrugged. A catch was a catch, it was about time that he got home. He did not leave for long periods of time for hunting purposes, only for one other that his Uncle encouraged. He chuckled, it was amusing how his Uncle lived. With a swift and graceful movement, he reached down and grabbed the kill, firmly placed in his maw.
A rabbit.
He smiled around the fur, luckily it was not bleeding too badly. At least not externally. If he had blood on his fur... first, Ezeoha would freak. Second, he would have to clean it up nice and clean again. Life seemed so simple now with Uncle Ez instead of wandering around with his father, but he still ran around in the mornings and fell back asleep before sunrise. Though, he did miss his Uncles and Father greatly.
As he moved on toward home, something caught his ear. It sounded low and quiet but it was something like a laugh or a giggle. Zeki put down his food and looked around cautiously, but his posture showed no sign. He stood up straight, his chest out, and head held high, with a smile too. He seemed not to fear too much but he was still cautious of what it may be. Crimson eyes looked all about, the tall grasses, the distance hills, everything. The Pride Landers attention turned to the trees around him. Perhaps it was a bird? With a smile and a shrug, he reached down to his catch and started off again.
It was probably nothing.

Tizona could feel her heart pounding in her ears when he almost caught her. Luckily for her he didn't spot her and continued to move on. She rose back to her paws and took another step forward before one of her paws slipped and she started to fall off of the branch. Her eyes went wide and her paws scrambled to grab a purchase, her claws digging into the bark.
"Aaaaaahh!" She cried as she barely caught herself. She stayed there dangling for a moment before she scrambled to hoist herself back up. Unfortunately she wasn't having any luck. This was so -not- good, she had totally given herself away with not only the rustling of the leaves but her outburst of slight terror that she was actually going to hurt herself.
Her claws began to slip again and was scratching at the bark as she sank closer and closer to the ground.

Zeki's ears perked, his eyes jerked around, food dropped, and his body was sent into swift motion. He was still young, his body between the juvenile and adolescent stages, but he was strong enough to get there in time. His heart raced as his eyes narrowed with determination. He saw the lion, in fact, lioness by the sound of her scream. Being a female, that made everything so much more important. If she fell, she could get hurt and he would feel guilty that he could not help her. If he caught her, well, then all is well. His paws dug in and pushed back for a burst of speed until he was under her. He looked around to see if there was something to help. He could not climb trees like his father, and even he had great difficulty with it. He looked up at her smiled.
He was confident.
"Come on, let go, I'll catch you!" he called up to her. What was a female lioness doing up in the trees to start with? He looked up at her, examaining everything around her. He could not see too well through the leaves, but he could see her. If he were in this sort of situation, he would try to pull himself up, but if not, then he would have to hang on for dear life. "Try to pull yourself up, if you can't just let go. I promise I will catch you!" he called out again.
Catching her meant that she would have to fall on him, he being the cushon. There was going to be some pain, but that will fade as time went on.

Once more Tizona struggled to pull herself up only to slip again, her claws barely holding on. If this went on much longer she would definitely fall. Then the male she had been 'stalking' voice rang out to her and she glanced down to see him under her. She looked worried.
"But I don't want to hurt you!" She called back trying again to scramble back onto the branch. She didn't want to hurt him, she would feel terrible if she did but she didn't want to fall either. She was definitely in a pickle.
She reached out a paw and managed to get a better grip on the branch she was so close to falling off of. But as soon as she tried to do the same thing with her other paw she lost her grip completely and fell backward.
Instantly she shut her eyes and waited for the impact of the ground.

Zeki quickly moved under her, the weight of another, one just as much as himself, rocked against his back that made his joins give out from under him. The pain was like a quick swat from his Uncle Kinari, one that was harder than what Uncle Trigger could do all in that one instance.
"Umf!" he muffled out as he laid under her. Zeki shrugged his shoulder and carefully crawled out from under her. One thing he knew, he was not going to be getting up for a while. His back was in ecrutiation pain, it was hard to move much at all without pain.
"Are you alright?"
He asked, looking at her. The fall was not too big, but it was a scary one for a cub their age. She was a cub and he was only a little older than her. It was a scary thought hitting the ground. Luckily, he took the pain that she would have recieved if he was not there.
As he waited for an answer, he looked at to where he had dropped his food. Looking there, the rabbit was gone. Curses...

Instead of hitting the hard ground she felt the male beneath her. Oh no! Her eyes shot open and she scrambled to get off of him as quickly as possible. She was breathing heavily, not because of the fall but because of the fear that she had severely hurt him. Tizona hadn't meant to fall and she definitely did not expect this male to run under her if she did.
He spoke meaning she needed to reply instead of pacing around, something she had just been about to do. "I...I'm fine..." She swallowed dryly after speaking. "I...I...thank you..." She mumbled after a bit of difficulty deciding what to say to him. "The more important question is, are -you- alright?" She asked concern filling her voice.
Tizona could only pray that he wasn't severely hurt, it would be absolutely terrible if he was severely hurt. It was bad enough that he was hurt, because of her no less, the brown cub was starting to panic. She had NO idea what to do and started to pace rather feverishly. "Is there anything I can do for you?" She inquired glancing over at him as she paced needing something to distract her.

Zeki shrugged and winced, his back was hurt. It was painful to move or even make the simplest gestures that would require the need to even using it. He did not want to move, pain had away to discourage such things. His crimson eyes were glazed lightly with painful tears, but they were nothing.
"Forget about me... all that matters is if you are alright," he chuckled sheepishly as he watched her from his laying position. He looked back at to where his kill was, disappointed in the fact that someone had snitched it when he was doing such a chivalrous act. Disgraceful... oh well, it just had to be that he was going to have to mooche food off one of his cousins later.
He carefully, but boldly raised to his feet, wincing and hissing at the pain but managed to stand up right. The pain ran all down his back and to his legs, his body screaming for him to lay down but he ignored.
"Hehe... Pain is just weakness leaving the body. You know, one day I will have a stronger back because of this." or a worse one, but he did not want to trouble her. By the way she was acting and pinging out questions, he could tell she was worried, much more so that it was he that he hurt. Well, he was not gonna walk away from a female in danger.
"Now... what were you doing up there?"

Tizona couldn't help but worry, even though he told her to forget about it, She just couldn't. She bit down on her bottom lip and flattened her ears against her head. "But..but..." She started but suddenly stopped unable to figure out what to say. She had stopped pacing to look at him and had picked it up again. She wanted to make it up to him somehow, but she didn't know what to do.
"I guess.." She replied quietly when he talked about pain. She didn't really believe what he was saying but decided that for now it was best to go along with it. "Still is there anything I can do for you?" She asked him again wanting him to give her something to do to make it up to him.
"Oh....well...I was pretending to be a spy..." Tizona told him sheepishly rather ashamed of herself now. "I've never fallen out of a tree before... A small blush of embarrassment flitted across her brown fur.

"Well, if it is a matter of what I want, I would like you to stop worrying about me," he chuckled as he tried to keep himself standing for as long as possible. He watched her with curiousity as she bit her lower lip, usually a sign of distraction, but that was not what it was for it seems. She was still worried, that was obvious. He never imagined having a female worry about him would be so... awkward. And the pacing was starting to become father... well, it made him nervous.
"A spy? Like watching something without them knowing it? Well, that is sort of weird, don't you think?" the older male chuckled. A spy, he did that sometimes when he hunted, but everyone called it prowling. Perhaps they are one in the same.
"Falling out of a tree is something you should always avoid. My father climbed trees and he always got hurt because he didn't know how to climb out of them. I learned that the hard why myself when I got stuck. Maybe you shouldn't try to climb trees just yet, it's kinda dangerous unless you have someone to catch you. Like me," he noticed her blush and that just made him purr. The pain was gone for a while.

He wanted her to stop worrying? That was going to be difficult, after all emotions weren't something you could just turn on and off whenever you wanted. Taking a few deep breaths she worked on calming herself down and stopped pacing. Tizona was still worried about his well being but decided that she would try not to worry, he didn't want her to so she was trying to stop. It was hard however and she planted herself in front of him, sitting to prevent herself from pacing again.
"Well....yeah." Her ears flattened against her head as she looked to the ground, making circles in the dirt with her paw. "It was kinda like a secret game...." Now her little game felt silly and stupid.
"Well I know how to climb out of trees...see this lion taught me how to fly!" She said rather excitedly looking up at him with a big grin. "He taught me how to climb trees and how to get out of them! I just..." Her voice trailed off as she looked up at the tree, her claw marks engraved in it. "I slipped and wasn't able to regain my footing..."

Zeki smiled slightly and nodded as she spoke. A secret game? Her spying was a game to her? Well, if she kept that up, she was going to be a very good hunter unless she kept being caught as she has. He looked at her again and chuckled.
"It's still dangerous, but if you are going to spy on someone, just be careful because not everyone will be willing to give up what they are doing and go catch you," he said as he stretched a little, his back sending out another jolt of pain causing him to wince but he laughed it off. He could tell that this would last for a while, but no one will have to worry about it.
"Flying? Well, that is something I haven't heard of, are you sure you can do that? I have met Goddesses and I have seen them fly, you'd need really big wings to do that," he paused. "Perhaps you know a secret that they don't even know! How amazing would that be, to beable to fly!"
Zeki only smiled as he looked off to the distance, his food gone, and the day dying slowly. He didn't really want to go, but he had to get home soon. With a soft breath.
"Tizona, I have to go now, it's getting late and I should head home. I am starting to get a little hungry."

Tizona nodded showing she understood. "I'll be more careful next time." She said confidently before her voice dropped to a softer tone. "Thanks again." She really meant it. She was lucky that he had been there and was willing to let her fall on him. It meant a lot. She was just sorry that he had to get hurt because of her.
Then they jumped back on the topic of flying. Secretly she knew that her 'flying' wasn't really flying but it felt like it. "It's lots of fun! I should show you some time!" She told him enthusiastically. Then frowned lightly when he said he had to go.
"That's okay. I understand needing to head home, I should probably go too. Can't have mommy and daddy worrying about me. Nope that would be bad." She leapt to her paws and took a few steps backward a smile once again on her face. "It was nice ta meetcha!" She exclaimed basically beaming. "Maybe we can see each other again when I'm not falling out of trees." She let out laughter there before saying one last thing. "Bye!" And with that she ran off.
