On the cover: Seperate shots of Brandon, Shawn Michaels, and Janelle. Brandon is shown holding the cruiser title. Shawn Michaels is sitting up in the ring with a look of disbelief on his face, and Janelle is leaning against the announcer's table, holding her head and glaring. Across the bottom it reads:
THE CRUISER DIVISION STEALS THE SHOW

Unlikely champions Going into Brimstone, the challengers for the tag team titles were set to be Arc Angel and Brody, and it was to be their last chance at the gold. Once the PPV came around, plans were changed as neither of the challengers showed for the match. the chairman, in his inifinite wisdom, immediately named two unlikely partners to challenge for the gold, his twin brother, Zarel, and long time rival of both brothers, Cartwright. The last time Zarel and Cartwright were in the ring together was prior to Judgment day. the two teamed with Vincent and spent the majority of the match trying to outdo each other. Their rivalry seemed to go from a general dislike to a strong competition to see who was really the better man. At Judgment Day, Zarel came out better, retaining his intercontinental championship and unifying it with the United States championship while simulataneuosly taking out Jeff Hardy. Cartwright, on the other hand, was taken out by travis, losing the television title in the process. Putting these two together was obviously an attempt on the chairman's part to amuse himself. We doubt he expected the two to cooperate and actually defeat Through the Pain for the tag team championships. To everyone's surprise, they did. Zarel and Cartwright are the new tag team champions, though some might say Zarel did most of the work and cartwright merely stole the victory from under him. We were able to reach Zarel for comment. Zarel: Yeah, he stole the victory, but which of us is a double champion again? If cartwright thinks he can compete with me, all he has to do is take a look at the hardware, and guess what, i've got another piece of gold to add to my collection.

Another Unified Champion Brimstone saw another crowning of a unified champion. this time, it was the Black Angel, Vincent Sanctuary, who has now unified his hardcore title with the television title. Going into the PPV, it was the former television champion, who seemed to have a bit of momentum on his side, after getting disqualified using his title belt in a warmup match prior to the PPV. the chairman, however, didn't take well to such an inconclusive ending Jarel: You know, this is an Xtreme wrestling federation, and I think Travis reminded me that the fans want to see Xtreme action. So i made the match a hardcore match. You see, I've fought Vincent in other federations, so i have a bit of respect for him. to watch someone take such an easy way out of fighting him was a little irritating. It was time to see if Travis had what it takes to be a champion in my company. Most would argue that he obviously had what it took, if he's a two time television champion, and we did. Jarel: What the hell does that mean to me? He won the title off of Cartwright. Come on people, it's cartwright, the guy i've used as my own personal punching bag and human torch over the past year. this is a guy i demolished in hell in a cell, a ladder match, and an inferno match. Do you really think i give two shits about someone who defeats Cartwright to win a title? We argue that the chairman still gave cartwright the opportunity to challenge for the television title, and he won it. Jarel: Hey, fluke victories happen all the time. the same might be said for travis. In order to prove himself, he needed to beat Vincent. Guess he failed that test. That he did, since Travis tapped out to Vincent's STF submission hold. With the dominant streak Vincent has been on, it seems a new era has dawned in XCW.

The Phenom Still Reigns Supreme in the land of Xtreme Over the past year, the XCW Undispted championship has become synonymous with the name of the Undertaker. The Phenom is going into his second year reigning as the champion here in XCW, not the easiest of tasks. He's taken on all comers, from the Rock to Shawn Michaels, and even some of the newcomers. He's beaten back hypocrites such as Schneider, and silenced any naysayers, and proven just why it's still his yard. and he's done it again. we come to the close of Brimstone and once again, the fans are treated to the sight of the undertaker in his classic pose, raising the gold above his head to the cheers of the fans. This time, he took on his own demented brother kane, who won the number 1 contendership by defeating Sting just last month. Kane and the Undertaker have never had the most stable of relationships. One can never tell when they're going to team up or beat the hell out of each other. This time, they beat the hell out of each other, and the undertaker just managed to come out on top with his championship. The Undertaker and Kane are rarely able to be reached for comment, and this time was no exception. the chairman had some comments for us. Jarel: i can't begin to tell you how much money the undertaker is making me. The man is unstoppable. who the hell has beaten him in the last year and a half? Nobody. He's taken on everyone i could possibly throw at him, even the legendary Drunko, and come out on top. He's formed a dynasty here in XCW, and proven all along just how much of an idiot Vince McMahon was. this is a man you can be proud to have lead your company as champion, because you know he isn't going to back down from a challenge. I wouldn't mind seeing him as champion for a long time to come

Stealing the Show A few months ago, Jarel Damone, the chairman of XCW, brought in his younger brother Brandon Damone, who promised a rise in the cruiser division. he promised to take the division to new heights, to bring it to the point that a cruiser title could be a main event match. XCW Magazine had it's doubts at first, but our hopes began to grow after the next triple threat match for the title, which featured Shawn Michaels, Trish Stratus, and then champion, Brandon Damone. Brandon lost the title, only to regain it the next week. And now at Brimstone, he helped steal the show again, this time with his sister Janelle and the legendary Shawn Michaels. Again Brandon walked into the match as the champion, having narrowly defeated Shawn Michaels for the gold the previous week. He must have had some doubt as his last triple threat title defense resulted in a loss of the title without getting pinned. As it happens, Shawn Michaels pinned Trish in that last match, much to Brandon's dismay. this time was different. Not only was the third participant in the match different, but the champion's approach was different. His main target was obviously Shawn, but he didn't make the mistake of concentrating solely on the icon. His sister Janelle brought the fight to both men, nearly getting the win with shawn down from a superkick and brandon down after receiving her twist of fate. unfortunately for her, as she went for her diving moonsault finisher to seal the deal, Shawn Michaels shoved her to the outside, wanting to pin the champion himself after delivering some sweet chin music. But it was not to be. As he went for the kick that has so often gotten him the 1,2,3, Brandon ducked and hit his devasting Reverse Impaler DDT to pin the Heartbreak Kid for the gold. As the match came to an end, we saw Shawn Michaels sit up with a look of dismay on his face, watching Brandon head up the ramp with the gold raised over his head while the crowd cheered him on. Janelle was seen glaring up at Shawn Michaels. We managed to catch up with the Damone siblings for their comments. Janelle: I'm obviously pissed. That was my first cruiser title shot in months and i lost my chance to regain my gold because Shawn Michaels knocked me off the top rope onto the announcer's table. And to make matters worse, he gave Brandon the time to recover and get the pin. this isn't over, not by a long shot. Brandon: Hey, I did what i promised. I walked in as the champion and i walked out as the champion. I made sure we stole the show with all those aerial attacks i did. You know, I'm damn proud of the show we put on out there. And I'm not scared of Shawn Michaels coming after me. I can guarantee Janelle will be right there with him. To them and anyone else in the division, I say bring it on. I'm going to dominate this division just like the Undertaker dominates his, and then I might just step up to take the Phenom's throne too.

Finally a Talented Tag Team Champion! Before I even begin to say anything else, I return from my burn injury to a huge ovation to the crowd. Yet my jealous "partner" Zarel Damone is already claiming that I stole the win in our tag team victory. This is nonesense! Hell, if it wasn't for me we might not even be tag team champions! But does Cartwright get any thanks from his "partner"? Oh no! He is way too busy sticking the knife in to congratulate me! Imagine my surprise when I heard XCW Chairman Jarel Damoe gave me and Zarel the title shot to amuse himself? He would be utterly stupid to just look at somebody as brilliant as me and think, "Meh, he's returning much earlier than expected. I guess I'll feed him the bones." No sir, I think Jarel Damone planned this out from the start, so that I could return to XCW as a champion. Just like I always have been. So for that, Jarel Damone, I say......thank you.
