Baylee Ferris hummed lightly to herself, as she, slightly out of breath took the windling steps to the Owlery with an amazing speed. It was rather early– at least by Baylee's standards, for a Saturday morning, but some things was simply more important than a sleep-in. Now expressing some famous lines from a recent Wizard Rock Single, Baylee bumped the old door open with her shoulder, clutching a small package in one hand, and a note in the other.
The owlery was as allways cluttrerd with owls, and the noise was allmost unbearable. Baylee looked down. The ground was clutterd with owl-dropping and what looked like half-eaten mice. Trying to breath with her mouth she gazed around her room for Duncan.

Pushing the door to the owlery open with her back, Beck danced in, singing quietly to herself as she sealed the letter in her hands. Sidestepping some of the owl droppings on the floor, Beck spun around at an apparently loud part of the song as her voice rose slightly, her hair twisting around her shoulders as she turned. Unaware that anyone else was in the room, Beck let out a rather undignified squeak as she backed into something rather solid and human-like, dropping her letter in the process. Bending quickly to pick it up, Beck threw her hair over her shoulder as she straightened and turned to see who she'd run into. Her face split into a silly grin as she recognized her companion.

"Hey, Baybug! Fancy meeting you here. Sending a letter to Dad?" she asked her younger sister, tugging gently on her sister's blonde hair. Whistling softly, Beck called one of the school's owls down to her and proceeded to tie the letter on its proffered leg.

((Don't ask where the nickname came from. lol It was, oddly enough, the first thing that popped into my head. XD ))

At the word 'baybug', Baylee spun around, looking utterly bewildrerd. Then, when she saw who it was, her face lit up.
"Oh, hi sis! You remember, too? It just came to mind last night, and I panicked."
Now smiling rather uncomforably, she held up the small package, which just fit in her hand, and seemed to be quite heavy.
"The best gift are hand-made right?" she said looking slightly guilty.

"Now, where's Duncan...?" Baylee mumbled quitely to herself. "Probably sleeping somwhere." She thought about using the summoning-spell, be decided against it. For some reason, Duncan disliked to had a gigantic force pick him up and throw him across the room.

"I wouldn't have worried so much." She grinned. "Dad's likely to forget himself. He'd forget everything if it wasn't for us." She laughed quietly, shaking her head in amusement. As much as she loved her father, he really could be incredily scatter-brained sometimes. Beck tended to attribute it to the divorce. "And I'm sure he'll love whatever you made him, B. He always does."

Beck hummed whilst securing the letter to the owl's leg. Stopping before she tied it on completely, she turned to her sister. "I've two letters to send and one's to Dad. Would Duncan mind taking mine, as well? It would be silly to have two owls going to the same place for the same reason."

True. But I like... panicked last night, and I tried to make this stone, that said "Happy Birthday dad, I love you, Baylee" with my voice, but instead it says "Happeee! I loove your Baylee" with this weezy, creepy voice. So this is my letter to him explaining with a good though I had." She laughed lightly.

"Yeah sure" she said, answering Beckett's question. And before she could stop hereself, she added "Who's the other one to? Your boy-friend?" with a teasing voice. She blinked at her sister, then turned to look for Duncan again. She spotted him right away this time, and he was in fact sleeping, his head under his wing.

Beck snorted, half in amusement and half in derision at Baylee's suggestion. "Right, my boyfriend. He's ruggedly handsome, wealthy, kind, and imaginary." Handing her letter to their dad to Baylee, Beck tied the other letter to the patient owl sitting on a perch in front of her. "This one's for Aimee. Thought I'd see how she was doing as I hadn't talked to her in a while."

Beck smiled softly at the thought of her childhood best friend. As their mother was a muggle, she had wanted Beck to be schooled in both the magical and muggle worlds. She would, of course, later find out that muggle schools and magical children didn't always mix. During the time that she did attend school, however, Beck had met a little girl named Aimee who had lived down the street. The two had become fast friends and had been ever since. Since Beck's schooling at Hogwarts began, however, the two didn't get to see one another as much as they'd have liked so they kept in contact through letters.

Making sure the letter was secure, Beckett carried the owl to the window and gently tossed it through, watching as its silent wings spread as it took flight. Turning around, she leaned against the wall as she watched her sister. "So, got any plans today?"

"Oh." Beckett had never really liked Amiee. Actually, she didn't liked her at all. Beckett and her had met in a time when Baylee had been very protective of her sister, allways afraid to lose her to someone. Now, of course, this wasn't the case, Beckett had many friends now, and Baylee knew her sister would never leave her. But the fact the Amiee was muggle was still... a touchy subject. She simply didn't understand what it meant to be a witch, because no one can unless you are one. And of course, it didn't help that Amiee really never liked Baylee either.

Baylee summoned Duncan with a whistle. It actually worked which was very rare. He hooted twice, then flew over and sat down next to her.
"No, not really, why?" Baylee said to her sister, as she tied the two parcels and her note to Duncan's legs. When she was done she realised this was far too heavy for him.
"I'm going to need another owl" the mutterd lightly to herself.

((I'm SO sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been really busy with school. And this is such a pitiful reply. *facedesk*))

Beck shrugged as she called down another owl for Baylee. "No reason, just curious. I thought I might go outside for a while, see what I can find to amuse me there. Seems a shame to waste a pretty day," she concluded as she turned to glance out the window behind her at the grounds below. Already there were a few people out and about enjoying the day. "Either that or I'll go to the library, get caught up on some reading for classes."

Lorako came to see Hedwig. The snow owl was sleeping in a corner. There was so many owl here, she felt impress. She didn't want to wake up her dear owl so she decided to use a school's owl to send her message to the director. She wanted to inform him everything was good for her and she about the fact she was in Gryffindor liked she wished. "Like my parents" she smiled.
