Hi, I'm a noob.
I just started playing yesterday. I went into the town and picked up a bunch of trash, bugs, and flowers. Is there anything I can do with them?

Well if you mean shops you scroll down see a list of things and it will say "Shops" Click it. then your in the shops on gaia. If you want to go to the Marketplace you go down click marketplace. a great source to see all the items on gaia is tektek.org A great site!

If you get 5,000 cans you can exchange it for a Tin Hat witch is worth like 40k or something. I don't know I haven't checked lately. But its somewhere around 40k.
