Name: Hadil Mezghaan Amjad Gender: Female Age: 30 Preferred Element:
Appearance: Hadil does now allow herself to be seen often, and those who have had the opportunity are few and far between. She wears a chadri (and at times a burqa) over her upper body, with only her eyes visible through a small grille; it is partly out of modesty and partly because she is self conscious about the burn that patterns the right side of an otherwise pretty face. The dark lashes that frame her sable eyes give her a somber appearance, which leads to her being regularly asked if she is ‘feeling all right.’
Personality: An incredibly reserved woman, Hadil never speaks out of turn, even when she is angry or pinched with the injustice of something. She keeps her feelings to herself and often puts on the front of contentedness. Though she remains soft-spoken and her emotions checked, she has a tendency of revealing them through her actions; she may cover her face and bar access to having it read, but her eyes and actions are explicit in their movement and meaning.
Her temper is considered flammable at best, and her father jokes about it more than he reprimands it (though when he does, it is always harsh). Rudeness and undisciplined airs, such as arrogance and hauteur, irritate her, and although she is an accepting woman, bias is immediate when such personalities are apparent.
Hadil doesn't complain about being stuck within her father's compound, but because of these circumstances, she does suffer from wanderlust, leading her to leave the home from dawn 'til dusk if the need arises. Wandering, she believes, is no time wasted.
History: Though born to a family that favored boys, when Hadil was brought into the world as the first daughter of Ateeq Amjad, the man was overjoyed. The noor of her father’s eye, she was toted around like a little princess and she gladly welcomed the attention. However, growing up amongst her many brothers, Hadil learned that if she were not to be tossed into their shadows she had to run at their sides. Her magical prowess was not a gift, but a honed skill which for her, required much study and even more practice.
