Kimia yawned and shifted very slightly, frowning with slight worry on her features. She was seated against a large rock close to Adamu's spot, comfortably situated on moss and leaves. It was a beautiful spot, he was usually here every day... but he had not come yesterday!

The day that had surely been the weirdest one in her life... she had never expected to have cubs, to give birth to them... but sure enough she had! Three little boys, so beautiful and everything she could ask for. Would Adamu be mad at her? No... no she hoped not. She shifted so she could look down at the little loves and smiled. A bright blue boy was the eldest, a purple maned, charcoal boy was the middle child and a little blond boy was the youngest. She moved and started to clean at the whining, squirming little things and her stomach growled. She was hungry... but she could not leave them! Oh she wished Adamu would show soon.

Adamu had been away all night due to a call from the king, but he was back now and sure enough was heading toward his rock. He was tired and sore and his head ached but he knew his lovely mate would be waiting for him! Wait.. Maybe she had been waiting all night, oh lord, knowing her she was!

Frowning to himself he quickly set off into a mad dash, gasping as he hit his rock. There she was, as lovely as ever… and with… three cubs. What the hell. He stopped and spoke out softly, moving to her side.

“Hey… are they… mine?”

Kimia's eyes widened and she curled protectively around the little darlings as she heard someone crashing through the woods. But she realized not many were likely to know about the spot! She relaxed a little but her stomach was starting to tie in knots.

"Adamu!" She chirped, pleased he was finally there by her side. Instantly she started to purr at him, smiling and wanting to jump onto him, her usual way of greeting him.

Were they his? "Could they be someone elses?" She asked, suddenly looking frightened. She looked down to the cubs and narrowed her eyes slightly, staring at them hard. "They look like my Adamu... they are Adamu's right?" She asked, suddenly afraid they were not! She looked back up to him. "Adamu's and Kimias... right?" Her head tilted. "Yours and Mine... ours! Yes!" Of course, they had to be.

He knew they were, duh, but he was still so stunned. His eyes went wide for a moment before he smiled and sat himself down beside her. He felt so bad… he wasn’t able to be here for the birth. His heart felt heavy as he gazed down at his three perfect sons and purred deeply at her.

“They are ours. They are perfect! Look at how good you did, they are all so wonderful!”

He couldn’t help but nuzzle her a million times.

She purred and snuggled into his young form, completely pleased with herself that he was proud of her. She licked at his chin in an affectionate manner and giggled. "I did good." She repeated softly. "This one's the oldest." She licked the little blue one. "And this one's the youngest Adamu." And then she licked the blonde maned boy. "And this one is the middle cub.." She oddly enough snug between the other two. She gave him a quick lick as well and then looked worried again.

"But I guess it wouldn't be nice to call them oldest, middle and youngest would it 'Mu?" She looked up to him and shifted so he could get closer to them. "I mean you're name is Adamu and my name is Kimia so they need names too, right?" Oh what an odd mother she would be!

”Haha, that’s right. They do need names, good ones too! So you go first, what would you like to call this one?”

He asked, nuzzling the first son. He was so hansom and had a perfect mixture of the both of him in him. He loved it. He nuzzles himself closer into her side and wrapped a paw along her from as he gazed down at his new family.

She got to name him? She never named anything! Oh this could be fun! "Izulu'anga." She chirped quite quickly, then started to giggle. She blushed and looked at him, she thought it was a cute name. "It means sky-kissed cause he is blue like he's been kissed by the sky... is that alright Adamu?" Her tail flicked and she hoped he'd like the name she'd chosen.

Adamu laughed at the name somewhat and nodded in agreement. Whatever made her happy. His tail coiled along her as he spoke out softly.

“That’s right, it’s a very good name. It fits him well, I think.”

Gazing at his second born Adamu smiled and spoke.

“And this one?”

Oh oh! And she got to go again. "Teko'avati!" She called out, a little loudly because she was so excited. "Won't it be cute to call him Teko? For short you know? Like I am Kimia for short instead of Kimia'Jicho. But long names are nice..." She giggled and waited to see if he liked this name as well. "Do they get the dark coats from you Adamu?" Her mother was white, so she didn't think it was from her. She meant Teko and the unnamed son, of course.

"Teko it is!"

Adamu smiled again at her name and nodded in agreement and for a while sat and thought about what she had asked. Yes, the darker colors came from his side, his mother. He smiled at her and then looked to his last son with a heart brown smile. Ari. He reminded him of Ari, his mother. His heart filled with sorrow for a moment.

“Yes, it comes from my family, and I would like to call our last cub Ari, if you don’t mind, after my mother.”

Kimia continued to purr. Ari, it was short and especially cute for a little boy she thought. Her heart clenched when he mentioned his mother, a mother she'd never know. "I'd love for us to call him Ari!" She breathed and stretched forward so she could lick his cheek.

"Are you happy?”

He asked with a soft nuzzle and smile.

“This is out family now, we have to take care of them and make sure they grow up happy.”

He knew it could work, he just knew it.

“I am so happy right now. Thank you for this perfect gift…thank you for being here with me, I love you."

Kimia had never experienced a mother, her mother was dead too! And now she could share some sort of mother relationship with the little babies, though she didn't know how. "Oh I don't think I've ever been happier.." She said, her voice higher than usual and her eyes were starting to shine. Tears of happiness? She was so happy that it clenched her heart and it hurt but it was amazing at the same time. "I have a mate that is my best friend and little cubs and and.." She leaned into him and took a deep breath, inhaling his scent.

"I love you most." She whispered, licking at his chest.

Her stomach gave another grumble and she blushed but didn't move.

”I’ll go get you something to eat, alright? You need food.”

He laughed at her cute-talk and slowly lifted himself from her side. He would have to make a kill quickly for her, he couldn’t leave her alone for too long now in fear of her and the cubs being put into danger. He wouldn’t let what happened to his mother happen to her. He just wouldn’t.

Calling out to her as he started to trot off he spoke.

“Always always.”
