hey all! i know how alot of people here are more into halloween because free candy, but further on to my point... what started the candy tradition? and dose any one else belive in the actrual holiday?

Hi, I think it was the candy company. ^_^ I don't know much about the actual holiday. I just like to dress up and read horror stories!! But I think i'm going to go try and look it up now. ^_^

Yeah, I follow both. One for the sound of mind, and the other for the sound of my stomach. You did know they originally used turnips, right?

Well, I always heard it was from the Pagans, and, well, as much as I wish I could scare little kids without having to give out candy, I work under both. I give out candy to kids, but I enjoy to the full extent Halloween and it's history.
