I'll try not to go into a huge essay about this but...
When I was little I was visited by a demon, at least to what I experienced. Ever since then I have had poor health, things no doctor has been able to completely mend. I was managing the pain fairly well until recently, it has been getting worse. The night around when it first started I woke up and noticed one spot on my bed, at the side, smelled strongly of sulfur.
I wonder if the demon didn't just go away after the first visit. If it - in fact - came back to make me even more sick and/or has been keeping me sick my entire life. The pain has died down and I feel better but it caused me total misery for almost a week. I know sulfur can be connected to spirits or demons, not to mention there is no explanation as to what could have left such a strong scent on the side of my bed. It's as if something was sitting there...

Wow...Here's my best advice:
1. Wear silver. I'm not sure exactly what it would do, but it's a holy metal and a healing metal. A few things might happen that would at least allow you to determine where the demon is:
-If you put a piece of silver (sterling is most common) jewelery on and it starts burning, remove it immediately. This means that the demonic influence is likely inside of you, thus causing the silver to react. Although silver doesn't exactly hurt demons directly, the energy should still be drawn to the silver. The actual potency, however, depends on you.
-The demon will know that you aren't oblivious to its presence. Some demons will play pranks just to scare the ones that they doubt believe in the supernatural. Your awareness might be enough to ward it off.
2. Try talking to it. Next time you start smelling the sulfur, ask what it wants, even if you're just thinking it. Even demons have their reasons, for the most part. If it turns out to be malicious without cause, please skip straight to point 4.
3. Try not to show fear. Again, this demon might just be a normal bully; that is, it's just trying to get a reaction out of you. The more negative emotions you show, the more it'll be drawn to you.
4. If none of these work, I'd really suggest calling in a professional exorcist. In this case, I'd recommend a priest. However, given how long it's been around you, I'd be careful. Be sure to tell whomever you call that it has been around you for a long time.
At this point, I'd highly recommend #4. This really should have been dealt with a long time ago, like how you should see a doctor when you first feel sick. However, as you were young at the time, I can't put you entirely at fault for not telling someone immediately. A lot of "normal" people would say that you were imagining it or something.

you could also try to wear magnetic jewelry as well as some of the things ShadowKuroKarasu said. you gotta get that demon seed out of there ^.^

Thanks. I own a lot of silver jewelry but I never wear it because my skin breaks into rash when I do. Don't know if that is related though. I keep a silver cross on the wall above my bed now and the smell hasn't been around since, and though I would love to contact an exorcist... well, my family doesn't believe in the supernatural. They probably wouldn't allow it but I will keep it in mind anyway. sweatdrop

The silver cross must have some effect, however, in my experience nothing has ever been banished, or repelled fully away by an object. Most likely it's simply having some effect on it's power to effect your physical reality.
Silver is not a holy or healing metal. It is a metal that is easily charged with a positive energy. that's simply one thing that really bothers me. But SKK is right silver when used properly, is a very effective repelent, and protective.
true, if any effect is actually leaving a scent I would either recomend placing more protective metals, or calling in a profesional.

I remembered that silver was a good counter for darkness, just forgot exactly why it was effective. sweatdrop Good that the cross is working for you, though. 3nodding As for the rash...I dunno, it might be related, might not be.
