Oh it was perfect! Sawa looked just like Siyo and alls it took was a little godly powers and a deal that Sawa probably wouldn't even have to keep! (Which would be a big mistake in the future). He had avoided Siyo for three days now, two in which he spent getting down Siyo's 'act' and modifying it so it was... well, less like Siyo! He felt bad for avoiding his friend but he knew this would all work out for the good of him!

Meddling never worked out good, it's too bad he didn't know that.

His tail swished and despite the fact that he'd never heard Siyo whistle he was whistling a cheerful tune. Everything was going according to plan! He had wondered through the rogue lands, headed toward where Laini had said that her lands she'd been traveling to were.

He had to be quick about this... though he also didn't want to rush anything. He wasn't sure when this color surrounding his own fur would wear off, when he would look like himself again. He had to make sure he would not be around Laini when it happened, that was for sure!

They hadn't reached the Dawnwalker lands yet but they had begun to see vultures in the sky. Laini hated to admit it but it was actually making her nervous. It was almost as if some part of her expected them to all appear at once and swoop down and attack her. And she hated herself for it. Laini prided herself on being strong, not some delicate little tart.

She slashed her tail through the air as if it were a knife and the air bread and observed her surroundings. She was in the open, vulnerable, and a tiny bit edgy. With a squint, she observed a far-off shape of red. Feeling almost drawn to it as if she could quench her fears in its presence, she drew herself towards the shape.

Sawa dropped the whistling act when he spotted that beautiful teal color among all of the golden grass. Honestly he hadn't noticed any vultures, but he could be oblivious to these things. He slowed his pace, trying to think of how Siyo would greet a stranger. Well, an acquaintance.

He wouldn't.

So how could he get around that? Perhaps he could get close by and wait for her to say something, as if he didn't notice her! Oh it was killing him, he wanted to just ask Laini how she'd been doing and if she'd gotten to the lands yet... he looked around and decided these weren't the lands after all.

He kept moving and soon enough they were almost face to face. He put on his best Siyo expression, which was blank and almost a little bored, but not unkind. He bowed his head and stopped, letting a little bit of sock flicker onto his face. Really he hadn't thought Laini would be so easily found!

"Oh... ello." He said dully, though he needed to get into conversation with her! Why did Siyo's personality suck so much?

Laini's eyes widened a fraction. She hadn't realized why the red form had been so familiar or if she had simply gone towards it to feel the protection of company. The whole "if they try to attack me, they have to get them first" sort of selfish philosophy of the fearful. She hadn't really thought that, in all of this, she would actually run into him again.

"Hello," she said, putting on her best face. "I'm surprised to have run into you ...alone." Indeed, it had seemed like the black and red lion and he were inseperatable and yet, here he was... by himself. She almost teased him about it, guessing the other had run off with a woman, but she knew he wouldn't very much appreciate that. Not to mention she currently was low on the nerves for being seperated and alone until she rejoined the travelling group.

"You wouldn't... ah... happen to know a good watering hole around here, would you?" yea, that's right... friendly conversation.

Ah! She was already trying to get away from him! Well... sort of. "Eh wha'?" He was about to say he went around alone all the time but remembered he was being Siyo, who usually sat in one spot until Sawa returned! "Oh. Yeh..." His tail flicked and he carefully avoided her gaze. Sawa couldn't help himself though, he had to keep looking over her sleek, strong body! She was lovely. Siyo should be begging him to do this sort of thing more often!

"Sometimes Sawa leaves meh teh my own devices. Why, yeh miss 'im?" He muttered, letting his voice get slightly bitter as if he was jealous of (himself) the Sawa. Glancing to her face and then turning, nodding the way he'd come. "There be a wa'erin'ole tha' way abou' fif'y paces." He gave the proper pause before...

"Wan' me teh accopmany yeh?" Now it was unlike Siyo to want to accompany anyone, but he was hopping she wouldn't realize that.

"Oh no... I mean... eh, it's more like I didn't expect to see either of you two again so there was no... missing anyone. Just didn't expect to see one of you without the other is all." She swished her tail. Why was it never easy to explain oneself while trying not to sound insulting but also not trying to seem like a love-struck fool at the same time? For she wasn't some love-struck fool and would only feel the fool should one think that way about her.

"Well, I certainly didn't plan on finding it myself." Why would she have otherwise asked him if she had wanted to go by herself? Males were so daft sometimes.

What! She didn't miss him? He almost started to ask why she didn't miss him when he realized... again... he was doing this for Siyo!

He cleared his throat to get the weird thoughts away from his brain and frowned. "Well if yeh wanna be tha' way then yeh can jus' no' find it a'all." He blurted out, silently cheering himself on. Oh wait! He couldn't be too like Siyo!

He shifted and coughed and slipped in front of her. "I mean... well.. yeh I can show it to yeh.." He nudged her lightly with a paw and started to walk, glancing at her. "Make it to yer destination ye'?"

"Ok... you just asked me if I wanted you to go with me. Is this some kind of joke? Offering and then taking it back and then just deciding to go again?" she exclaimed. She followed behind him with a scowl, almost as if she were being forced to go. Because had he not nudged her, she would not have followed for the sake of being defiant.

"No I did not make it there," she said politely. "Thank you for your concern." Why was this lion still hanging around her? He obviously didn't want to be around her. That much was clear. This better not be some sort of game for him, insulting her one minute, helping the next. She would not appreciate it ...at all.

Fail! Oh if only he could act himself and not like Siyo.... well... he could act like himself. Or less like Siyo... it's not like she knew Siyo perfectly or anything! "Eh er... I jus'... be nervous aroun' yeh is all." He mumbled, trying to look embarrassed. "No' joke."

Ack! This was the worst, she was getting polite on him! Why wasn't this working out dammit? "Oh... er... yeh guys close then? Yeh di' say this direction when I... eh when Sawa asked yeh." The watering hole was right in view.

Nervous? Around her? A male had never been nervous around her before. That was something new. She didn't know what emotion she wanted to match with that thought but she gave him a weak smile to show him that she forgave him although she wasn't exactly in the mood at that moment to smile.

"I think we're close," With the thought, instinctively glanced upward briefly. "I'm surprised we ended up travelling in the same direction," she joked and lapped up some water before ploping her bottom on the ground. It was cooler by the waterhole even if only minisculy. "Not that I'm accusing you of anything," she added, remembering how quick he was to take insult. She gave him that look many a girl gave a guy when they evoked the mystery of fate, destiny.

"OH yeh... er.. well S-sawa.." Right he had to stop trying to say Siyo. This was hard! "Sawa jus' wan'ed teh 'ang around these parts fer a bit so yeah.." He glanced at her with a sheepish grin. He was rather bad at being offensive.

Accusing him of anything? Or right Siyo was a little prat.. "Nah. I's Sawa's faul' tha' we still be 'ere... I do ra'er wish we were som'ere with more shade available." That was good complaining, wasn't it?

He moved close to the watering hold and bent down to take a drink, but he froze to stare at himself. Wow! That god had done an amazing job, he looked just like Siyo! It was too bad Siyo wasn't more like himself, he was quite the looker.

Laini ignored the fact that he seemed to be rather fixated on his reflection and gestured with a paw to nearly the other side of the waterhole. "There's a tree over there..." It didn't offer much shade but she was letting him know he did have an option should he choose to take it.

Aside from that, she was running out of things to say. She looked down at the ground and rubbed the back of her paw against the ground almost as if she was trying to amuse herself. If so, it wasn't working very well. There were so many conversational phrases she thought of but all were pretty much voided from what little she knew of him.

He jerked his head up and watched her for a moment. Well. What to talk about? She wasn't been as friendly as when he'd been here with Siyo! And not as Siyo. His tail flicked and he suddenly splashed a paw into the water and carried it out, aiming to get water flying toward her with a mischievous grin.

Well if she didn't want to talk he'd splash her with the water. "Yeh said yeh were thirs'y, righ'?" He teased. Eff being Siyo, that was boring.

She jerked at the splashing, scrunching her shoulders as the cool water landed on her muzzle and neck. "H-hey!" she laughed. "Thirsty but not dirty. It would appear to me that you're the dirty one here!" she made a saucy grin and then leaped at him, aiming to get him in the water.

His eyes widened and he tried to tell her no, no! But he couldn't, he was too thrilled. And a bit shocked because he really, really hoped his illusion of Siyo's fur stayed on when he went crashing into the water!

As her body went into his he was laughing, and both flew backwards a little bit. As his bulk hit the top of the shallow water it made a slight smacking noise and a big splash rose around them. He was soaked!

"Oy, oy! Maybe Yeh do no' be dirty bu' yeh certainly need'a stay cool in this weather, eh?" He replied back, wrapping his paws around her and rolling, so she'd end up soaked as well.

After he leaped off, laughing and turning to face her, slightly hunched and certainly dripping wet. Sawa liked playing games... Siyo would never be caught dead playing any game. She didn't know that though, did she?
