I acknowledge that we can sin through our minds. Like sexual fantasies.
What if you weren't actually imagining sex but what about the things before sex. (you know the passioning kissing and partly naked... blah blah blah...I don't want to get into detail.) but still a sin?
I know this is kind of weird question. lol A friend asked me this and she wanted to know.

I think that I would acknowledge that it is because its lusting for one another, which is a sin. sweatdrop Unless of course they're married, then it wouldn't matter, because they're sharing their love for one another.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:27,28 NIV)
Perhaps you had this verse in mind as you asked the question? Jesus does appear to hold the act and the thought as equal sin. So really, what you're asking is "What thoughts are lustful?" Though some of what you described isn't the act of sex, it is sexual. Any sexual thought directed towards someone else could I suppose be called lust, don't you think?
Acknowledging what goes on in our thought lives can point out our depravity and sinfulness in a way that is very difficult to argue against. We are in such desparate need of a Savior! So much of our sin is hidden away from others but as it says in 1 Samuel 16:7 "...The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." So much of who we are is never even seen by the people around us. Our thoughts and emotions are very important to God. It is simply another area in which we see the contrast between God and ourselves. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord." (Isaiah 55:8 NIV) Hopefully, in seeing the contrast, we realize our need for him and instead of running the other way, we recognize his love for us and his desire to live in our hearts and we become his children, allowing him to transform us from one day to the next into his likeness.
