The theatre was practically empty. A few senior citizens, some employees, a homeless man, Tyven Reever and Azucar. It was large, yet old. Obviously, it had once been extremely popular, but now it resided in a less recreational district, now by businesses and warehouses. Places that had no need of a movie theatre.
The 5'10" preteen had just finished with one film, and was now standing silently next to the pimply faced, awkward ticket checker, who was looking at a list of film times, to tell her what she could see next.
So far, she'd never purchased a ticket for these films. As he spoke, the lavender eyed girl only half-listened, most of her attention on the sound of rain beating against the building and windows. Azucar, though, paid attention. He'd chosen the last two movies they'd seen, and he was likely to choose this one as well.

Kalseru scowled as Nibal strolled through the rain. She did NOT like getting wet like this, no matter how much her frog boy did. Peri had dropped them off a few blocks away from the old theatre because Nibal didn't want to be seen being dropped off by his dad. Besides, he liked the rain.
The boy didn't usually visit this theatre, but as the others were packed with people who had nothing better to do on a rainy day, they'd had to find an alternative. Now the green dragon was trotting briskly along the sidewalk towards the old theatre. She rounded the corner and spotted it not that far away.
Kalseru glanced back and grunted as she saw that Nibal was still taking his time. Hurry!, the green demanded and Nibal picked up his pace. "Sorry, Kal... I forget you don't like it as much..." The boy reached down to pat the green's head as they reached the old theatre.
Kal promptly shook herself like a dog as they walked under the awning, spraying water in every direction. She noticed this after the fact and looked up at Nibal rather sheepishly. Oops...

Tyven, lost in her own thoughts, almost didn't notice the arrival of the fellow d-corp experiment, it was only when the pimply boy suddenly stopped speaking, staring at what had just entered the lobby, that she was brought back to the present.
Simon, the ticket checker, was in a bit of shock. Tyven wasn't so odd looking, but the guy? He was... A frog. Like, for real. "What the-"
He was cut off by Tyven's fist smashing down on his podium, actually cracking the wood with her raw strength. Once she'd noticed who it was, she didn't take too kindly to his rude reception of a fellow D-corp. They had it bad enough, as is.
Simon jumped, and smiled shakily, going back to reading off the movies. Tyven didn't look at Nibal. Azucar, however, greeted the lovely green female he remembered from only a week or so back.
Good Afternoon, Kalseru.

Nibal wasn't exactly fond of being stared at. He almost turned around and left, feeling unwelcome in the theatre, uncomfortable with the look he was getting. But, someone came to his rescue. Blinking, Nibal realized that he knew the girl. She'd been in his battle class just some time ago. He grinned and waved, but she seemed to be no long paying attention.
Kal happily trotted over to where the lindworm was. He was lucky and nice and dry while she'd had to walk through the rain. Swimming pool: good. Rain: not so good. However, Nibal loved it. Silly boy. Greetings, Azucar. It's nice to see another dragon outside of classes... She recalled the trouble she and Baroness had gotten into at their first meeting. They'd discovered the wondrous taste of potato chips...

Azucar's voice was warm toward the female, and he chuckled in his own way, glancing up at Tyven. "Have you seen a film before, Kalseru? Tyven allows me to choose them." Nudging the tall girl with a talon, he notified her that he wanted to see the documentary the pimply boy had just mentioned.
"We'll see that." Her face was expressionless, but her brief gesture included Nibal. Simon swallowed and nodded, explaining where theatre four was, down the hall, second door on the right.
Removing her long, stylish coat, she headed down the hall, Azucar at her side, belatedly glancing back at Nibal. "Would you like to come?" She was at a loss for his name, briefly. "... Nibal?" That sounded right.

Kal gave a shake of her head in a fashion that mimiced human motions. "Not in a place like this... Nibal puts them on TV sometimes." The green was awed that the other dragon got to make such a huge decision. How wonderful it must be to do something like that!
Nibal blinked as he was suddenly included in the girl's plans it seemed. "Huh, oh, yeah, sure." He didn't even know what the movie was. But anything to get away from the ticket checker and his staring. He quickly jogged to catch up to Tyven. "It's... Tyven... right?" He hoped he'd remembered her name correctly.
Kalseru had followed along even before her boy had decided to join, grinning. "Do they have potato chips here?" She asked Azucar, hoping to get Nibal to buy her some.

"Yes, there is an entire snack bar in the lobby. They don't get much business here, so I am sure that they would be happy to serve a queen like you." Azucar's tone was a purr and he again nudged Tyven, whom glanced down at him, then at the others.
"That is correct. Tyven." A pause. "Do you want to get something to eat or drink? We can choose our seats and then go back out. The movie doesn't start for twenty minutes."

Kalseru grinned and nudged Nibal, tail wagging as Tyven asked about getting food. "Food! Yes!" She commanded, which made Nibal stumble a bit as she pressed against his legs.
"I think she's hungry..." He grinned and nodded to Tyven. "Food sounds good..." He wasn't really that hungry, but knew he'd need something to drink to keep from dehydrating. "I'm sure the dragons can save our seats..." He grinned, knowing what most people's reaction would be... the seats would be well guarded.

Tyven actually chuckled, nodding to Azucar to let him know he had the go-ahead to find some seats. The lindworm had no problem leading the green to the theatre, telling her she could choose any she liked. They were old, comfy seats. There was a couple making out in the corner of the theatre, and an old man reading a book, but that was it.
Meanwhile, Tyven led Nibal to the concessions counter, the girl behind it so bored that she didn't even bat an eye at their appearance.
"What can I get'chall?"
Tyven frowned slightly and took at look at the billboard full of snacks and beverages. They had a large selection.

Kalseru grinned as she strolled down the aisle with a leisurely pace. Ah, she was queen of them all! Or at least she thought so. She snorted as she spotted the couple and headed right for the best seats in the whole place. Middle section, about one third of the way back from the screen. As she got to the area, she snorted. The rows were not very dragon friendly... and the seats were small! Not like the couch at home...
Nibal looked over the long list. Wow, so many choices... "Um, a bottle of water... and some popcorn..." He eyed the candy selection for a moment, wondering if Kal would like any of that. "And some licorice."
