Slytherin Table. Except during official ceremonies, students from other houses can sit here.

Stepping into the hall, Gabriel searched for a likely place to sit down and eat. It was still mostly empty, so soon he was heading to vacant spot, pushing carefully a slightly slower Naida ahead of him.
"Here, this looks like a good place." He said, stopping slowly and sitting down at his house's table.

Naida plopped down on the bench beside him and looked at the table with glee. "Look! Chicken!" She said triumphantly, as if she had predicted it would be there instead of her simply wanting it to be there.

Gabriel looked sideways at the chicken. "Yeah... I think I'll pass on that thank you." he said as a tray full of a strange kinds of vegetables and fruits appeared in front of him.
"This is much better!" He busied himself moving a small portion of them to his plate since he wasn't very hungry.

Naida looked over at what he was eating... they were indeed strange. But she thought this would be a good opportunity to try something new "Can I try some of that?" She asked.

Not seeing a problem with that, Gabriel picked one of his favorites, deftly cutting a quart with it and handing it over to Naida.
"Here," he said, still holding at the amber fruit. "That's an Yorikep, tastes like honey. See if you like it." He, smiled at her as he waited for her to pick it up, mentally he was running over all there was on the tray in front for other great tasting foodstuffs.

Naida had grown up in a house that meant you tried everything in front of you, so she look a bit and smiled. "It's really good. And it does taste like honey... without the mess. I like that." She quickly ate the rest of it.

"It's awesome!" He said, Handing over the rest of the fruit to her. Gabriel then picked a few more. A banana looking fruit, only it was blue and seemed to melt in your mouth, an egg shaped one that tasted like chocolate, and then other common things such as peaches and mango. He chopped up a few pieces and started giving them to her to taste.

Naida was having way more fun eating these strange foods than her chicken. She tried each piece and gave different reactions. She thought the mouth-melting one was weird, but the chocolate was good although it wasn't as sweet as the candy bars she normally ate, and she made a really amusing face with something very sour. She even ate the normal fruits, because she did like fruit afterall.

Gabriel kept giving her fruit, and salads with bittersweet, or simply sweet, but never simply bitter sauces. At the same time and taking advantage of her distraction, he pushed her chicken away, a little bit each time. This was much tastier and healthy than the dead animal. Let the muggles eat that.
He also ate the fruit and salad, enjoying greatly the juices flowing out from a piece of mango as he bit into it. Out of the normal ones, peach and mango had to be his favorites.

Naida couldn't devote an entire meal just to fruit and veggies so when she tired of them she looked around and ... wait, how did the chicken get so far away? She sighed and leaned over to grab it back.

Gabriel cursed silently as she noticed the plate, but kept a straight face. "That'll only be bad for you in the end. You should eat more green things." He said, then noticed that a lot of them weren't green. "Well, more vegetables anyway..."

"Humans were made to eat meat. A balance is what's healthy. And I do eat lots of veggies!" She popped some corn in her mouth to prove the point.

"No... Humans were made to eat pretty much everything. So they can do without meat." He said "But you do as you like. I'll stick to this" And went back to eating his dinner, slowly for he wasn't hungry at all.

Naida rolled a vegetable around on her plate after finishing her chicken. "Gods, I'm so bored..."
