Having found Alas in his pack down trotted and walking a different course today the alpha of a small family pack was in search of something. He wasn't positive what it was just yet, but something in his being told him to look in a neck of the woods away from the dark forest leading towards the nearest pack to the south.

Crunch walked with his head held up high and tail curled up over his back, his mind was becoming more at ease, but he was still in a bit of denial about something. The white paws, though massive, moved in virtual silence in the male's territory. Why was Crunch responsible to let others know that he was making his way on patrol?

Butterfinger edged around nervously, yes the area smelled familiar as if some distant relation resided here, but he was too nervous to test that theory. He watched in shock as his brother Musketeer dashed into the claimed territory and bring down a foolish rabbit. He slunk over towards him.

"Musketeer! You shouldn't hunt here, we still don't know who even lives in this territory. What if it's some vicious pack?"

He shook his head as he watched his brother rip into the rabbit.

"Your careless..."

"I'm talented!" The silver male replied with a laugh as he ate a chunk of his kill.

"Besides they smell like relations, maybe they'll let us stick around...maybe theres some pretty girls." He grinned and his eyes glinted at the hint of challenge and reward.

Musketeer had traveled with his brother since they were pups, seperated from what they assumed was a larger family they had always taken care of each other and skirted around claimed territory. Until they had sniffed out this land, this land smelled different it was marked with a familiar scent, distant blood calling to them.

Pausing for a moment the large blue alpha turned his ears around in circles. He was picking up the sound of something in his territory, no it wasn't just a something it was two somethings. The massive blue head lowered slightly as the back of his lips quivered warningly to the unknown.

Suddenly Crunch calmed his aggressive side and swallowed the growl or snarl that wanted to be set free. Raising his head proudly and with nothing short of the status of an alpha the blue tail curled up over his back. His steps were still soft for the paw size, but the piercing blue eyes that peered out from underneath red lightning were speculative.

Inching closer the male heard the sound of what sounded like a voice on the verge of panicking while another seemed ever so cool. The cool voice also caused the swallowed growl to spring back to life because it sounded so much like Snickers.

Breaking through the tree line the cracked white socks that ran up the blue alpha's legs brushed gently against a couple bushes. Crunch's eyes almost bulged out with the sudden need for a dropped jaw, but the cool alpha just locked his face into the dominate expression.

"Can I help you two?" The Crunch bar wrapper wolf asked in his demanding questionable tone. This was his territory and though these strangers looked similar to relation with the alpha, Crunch was still unsure about them just yet after all they were strangers.

Butterfinger frowned as he watched his brother, always such a carefree attitude. He felt a bit annoyed that Musketeer refused to see reason, but he was the only family he had ever known, family was important. It wa sthe only reason he hadn't turned tail and run from this claimed land. Even he couldn't deny it felt...interesting here.

"We should go before someone..." he panicked, it was too late someone was coming! They were there! Here!

He crouched low and looked on in shock as a large dark blue male came into view, not just any male, he appeared to be the alpha!

Musketeer looked up and grinned. "Hello!" he smiled and inhaled deeply, past the blood, and thrill of his small catch. He gave a soft nod and chucked the rest of the rabbit at Crunch before sitting and licking his chops.

"A gift...in the hopes that your a friendly relation...and that you'll allow us to remain in your territory? Perhaps make ourselves useful and join your pack?" Musketeer wasted no time.

What was the point in waiting and playing silly mindgames after all, he was there for a reason and skirting the reason would be foolish. The alpha would either say yay or nay to them and they would remain or depart, that was life.

Crunch saw the panic in the yellow Butterfinger wolf and almost had the urge to crack a smile. At least one of these two strangely familiar looking strangers had common sense of respect.

Then when he looked to the gray wolf, his eyes saw a lighter version of his brother. But when Musketeer wolf tossed the rabbit over at his paws and claimed it to be a gift, Crunch raised a lightning streaked brow. Though similar to his younger brother, this one seemed to have a bit of sense as well.

"I can be friendly," Crunch stated and looked between the two obvious siblings, "and since you two are the first wolves besides my own siblings that I've seen with the odd writing upon your sides. I don't see why I can't allow a probational period up to allowing you to become members of my pack." His dominate glare sized up the two wolves.

"What skills do each of you have to offer? My pack works as a whole to insure easy as possible life for the members in it."

Butterfinger slowly lifted his head and tried to look as non threatening as possible, which was easy since he didn't feel like much of a threat to anyone or anything. He seemed startled at the mention of a porbationary period before trying to think of any traits he had.

"I...I can fish quite well...can't really hunt, but Musketeer can..." he nodded enthusiastically.

"Thank you for letting us stay a while, I'm sure we can find someway to be of use."

Musketeer sat infront of his brother with a grin staring at Crunch's dark blue eyes without a hint of fear. It wasn't that he was disrespectful he just didn't show any proper awe or admiration for anything, except perhaps a pretty female.

"I can make pups!" he said in a half joking tone with a suggestive grin.

"I can hunt as well..." he didn't mention that his skills for flushing out hard to find prey were extrodinary, he never felt right explaining why he learned such things or how he protected his brother. It was just something you had to do, protecting your family.

Now it seemed he had more family and it made him feel even lighter inside, he wanted to meet them all. His tail swayed like a pendulum someone had set to quickly into motion, steady but counting beats at too fast a rate. That was Musketeer steadily on course but moving fast enough to crash.

Crunch looked at the two brothers, but he spoke first to the yellow wolf. "Fishing is a useful skill. How do you feel about scouting or helping out with patrols?" this the male asked very seriously. Fishing was only useful in the eastern side where the rivers went into the sea.

But the first thing that came out of the gray wolf made the alpha's lip momentarily curl. "Don't try anything with my sisters. One would probably fight you off, but the other she isn't as strong." Crunch growled warningly, he also wanted to say something about Alas but held back.

"As I can see. I'm sure my brother will be grateful for the help in hunting." Crunch then thought about something and casually stated. "I'm Crunch and this is my territory. The pack is growing but we are known as Akiiki Chibale."

Butterfinger nodded softly grateful they weren't being attacked, or chased off, or who knew what else. He was always a bit paranoid, which Musketeer never was, he supposed it was a healthy does of each of their personalities that had helped them survive so long.

"I could scout...and patrol...not sure how good I would do in a...fight?" He didn't like the idea of having to fight anyone.

His tail lifted and swayed a bit hopefully he liked the sound of this pack and if Crunch had sisters that meant more relations, maybe they would be happy in this place with family.

Musketeer grinned "Don't worry I wouldn't try anything with family, So theres one fiesty female and one who needs protecting...check"

He didn't think of any female as really weaker just more in need of a helping paw, granted thats how he saw everything it either needed help, needed to be brought down a notch, or needed to be left alone. He looked at Crunch and decided the alpha should be left alone.

"So how many of ya are there? Are ya all family?" He sounded excited at the prospect of more family.

Crunch's attention moved back towards the Butterfinger wolf, "I wouldn't ask for you to fight, I don't believe in making those that don't like the violent side to participate. If you are alarmed on a patrol simply howl out and I," the alpha used this term lightly since he didn't know right away about the gray wolf, "Will come and relieve you of that spot."

A sigh of relief happened in the Alpha's head, well at least Gracia would be safe to council and listen well to the gray male. Crunch then thought about it, maybe he should have made Gracia the pack councilor. However his mind snapped back to the current moment.

"I'm glad to hear that," though the larger male's right eye twitch momentarily. For some reason he felt that his words were miss interrupted nut he decided to let it go.

When he spoke again, Crunch was using his casual tone, but even that was still as sharp as his fangs, "There is Gracia and Twix, my two sisters and Twix is also the Beta. Then there is Snickers, my brother, who can be found near anything that is reflective." This the male actually rolled his eyes with his obvious disapproval.

However when he spoke again, "What are you names? I don't know if you go by the names on your sides or if your like Gracia who has a different name."

Butterfinger nodded eagerly. "Oh yes I could do that...naturally." He felt a bit better now less intimidated and he liked the idea of meeting others.

"I'm Butterfinger, and this is my brother Musketeer!" He looked at his own side curiously. "On our sides?"

He had always been curious about their distinct coloration, but after seeing the alpha's own colors he thought maybe it was just in their family. He was intrigued about the Alpha's ability to understand what the markings meant.

Musketeer counted them up and smiled with a nod, he liked this family, this land better and better. Things seemed friendly enough, Crunch might stand to loosen up a bit, but hey what alpha didn't? He grinned as Butterfinger introduced him and looked at his own side.

"Ya know what these mean?" He shrugged off the question as quickly as he had asked it, if that was the way his family was identified then so be it.

He wa smore curious to meet everyone, Snickers eh? Snickers, snickerdoodle, snicky? He held back a laugh having another male to hunt with would be nice, while his brother excelled at fishing he couldnt seem to hunt for anything. He was curious to meet this Twix as well Twixy? He figured she was the feisty one. This Gracia seemed mysterious too, he wanted to meet her and see for himself what made Crunch see her as needing protection.

The alpha nodded his head, "Good to hear and better that you seem less bothered with the original prospect." Crunch put the names to memory, though if he had ever need a reminder he could just read their sides.

"Pleasure to meet you both then." Looking between the two males, Crunch was always somewhat surprised when he found out that no one else could read their markings, but then again his father had singled him out for the lessons.

"Yes, I can read what our markings state. Though I don't know the exact meaning of them." He felt like he should tell at least Musketeer what Gracia's markings said since she was the only one that was named differently. "My sister, Gracia, her marking read out to be Baby Ruth, and though not the last of out litter she was and is the smallest of us."

Looking towards his side, Crunch decided to offer entrance to the land, "Would you two like to move into the territory and see if we can't happen to find at least one of my siblings?"

Butterfinger nodded softly still surprised that Crunch knew what the markings stated who knew his name was right there splashed on his odd coat. He wondered if the alpha could teach him how to decipher the symbols.

He nodded softly and moved to follow his brother into the packlands.

Musketeer nodded at Crunch's words and headed past him deeper into the territory hoping they did come across another.

Looking at the two brothers walk on pass into the territory, the alpha lifted his head and ears higher up. As if making sure that there was no one else coming before he too turned around and headed back towards the den. On behalf of the two newly found relations, he might call out to his siblings to come and meet them.

Though Crunch would send for Snickers, possibly send Twix to quickly drag the dark chocolate male into the den area. Maybe one day Crunch would find something to put a pool of water near the den so the pack didn't have to search high and low for the gamma.

With long quick strides Crunch took the led up through his lands. It could have been interesting to see the gray male walk into the den clearing and hear Twix go off. Though interesting, he wanted to make sure that the two siblings, possible logical cousins to himself, didn't get scared off from his headstrong sister. Gracia would accept anything with open arms, unless it was someone that seemed vicious to her from the get go.
