What happened to Dr. Gordon?

According to the Saw 3 commentary, Amanda was supposed to tie the key to Adam's ankle, but instead, she tied the stopper for the bathtub to his ankle. Why? and what would of happened if she listened to Jigsaw?

What exactly was Jeff's purpose in the first movie?

How are Obi and John connected?

What happened between John and Jill?

What was in the envelope that Amanda looked at in the third movie?

What was on the tape that John poured wax over?

Did Jeff Reinhart and his daughter Corbett escape?

What happened to Detective Eric Matthews?

Some of these questions better be answered, dammit.

I can answer 3 of your questions.

What happened to Dr.Gordon? He bled to death its the only answer that could have come up.Did anyone come into the ware house later?NoFor in Saw 2 Adam was dead and his body had started to decompose.

What happened to Detective Matthews?Saw 3 showed what happened to him.He used that bathroom thing to bash his foot out of the lock then caught up with Amanda they got into a fight and she left him there to die.

If youve watched Saw 3 you know that Jigsaw detests murderers and thinks he is not a murderer which he isnt technically.Amanda tied the key stopper to his ankle so the key would go down the drain and he couldnt win the game because she is a murderer..If she had tied the key to Adam's ankle it would not have gone down the drain like it did and Adam would have lived.

The rest of the questions I either forgot or I dont know the answer to them.

Well, I know Eric is in Saw 4, so we'll end up seeing what happened to him.
and Larry might of lived.
John detests murders, like you said, so I doubt he would leave Dr. Gordon to just die.
I doubt Amanda was a psycho murderer way back before the original Saw, so I figured there might be some motive or something for doing that.

I have answers to five of your questions.

What happened to Dr. Gordon? He most likely died, but it never showed his dead body in any of the three movies.

Amanda was supposed to tie the key to Adam's ankle, but instead, she tied the stopper for the bathtub to his ankle. Why? and what would of happened if she listened to Jigsaw? As Nitrahell said, Adam would not have died. I think Amanda's problem was that she couldn't bear the thought of someone going through so much pain and still living.

What happened between John and Jill? This well probably be revealed in the Fourth movie.

Did Jeff Reinhart and his daughter Corbett escape? That is what we are going to find out in the fourth movie.

What happened to Detective Eric Matthews? I'm pretty sure he did die.

I think Dr. G lives, and I also think there's more to him than meets the eye:

1. A lot of the Saw traps are medical (having to get syringes full of anti-dote, the key behind the eye, key in the stomach, etc...) and will have required not only medical knowledge but also medical equipment. Where did John get all the stuff?? I know he's been to hospital but he looked pretty ill and its unlikely he could have stolen all the drugs and scalpels, etc.. so it seems like he does have somebody on the inside. I did think before he was killed himself, that Zep was in on it so maybe its Dr. Gordon.

2. Dr. Gordon goes on and on about how Jigsaw isn't a murderer because he doesn't actually kill people, and considering he's facing his demise at the hands of Jigsaw he doesn't seem to have too much animosity. Maybe he just admires how clever Jigsaw is or maybe he's linked to him?

3. He volunteers his wallet to Adam and tells him to look behind that photo of his daughter to see his "favourite photo". Why would you shove your favourite photo behind another one? Why would Jigsaw put an important clue somewhere that it may never be found? I know Adam asks to see the wife after he's seen photos of Diana, but it's Dr. Gordon who says "You wanna see them?" when Adam asks after his family, and then throws his wallet over. Maybe he wanted Adam to figure out the lights thing himself so it wasn't painstakingly obvious that he was in on it from the start.

4. He tells Adam how he got there, and we see a flashback whereby Amanda kidnaps Gordon in her pig mask in that parking lot. Adam was there remember, taking his snapshots of Gordon. Gordon says "You must have seen what happened to me!" and Adam says "All I saw was you get into your car!" Well... in the flashback we see Gordon go to his car but get kidnapped before he gets in... interesting (this was my own point). Now maybe that's all Adam meant by "get into his car", but if he actually saw Dr. Gordon get into his car then it puts a new spin on things.

5. He cuts his foot off to escape... facing bleeding to death. Now he's a surgeon, he must be used to finding the best way to get somebody out of a situation. He had plenty of time to think about it, even if he had no intention of carrying it out until he couldn't face it anymore. Why would he cut his own foot off when he could have just broken his foot and ankle like Detective Matthews? Perhaps the foot was a prosthetic... a person on moviemistakes.com states that you can see his foot when he crawls out, maybe that was a mistake or maybe it was a deliberate clue. I'm not sure how badly decompose the foot is though, in Saw II, so you may discount this point.

6. The saws used in Saw I are (again) medical saws... how did Jigsaw get em?

7. His penlight was found at one of the scenes as being used to look through a peephole cuz he likes "Front row" seats, yadda yadda... never explained how it got there. Jigsaw never tried to frame anybody else did he?? Why would he try to frame Gordon?

8. He's addressed as Dr. Gordon by Jigsaw, not Lawrence. Now that might be because he's Jigsaw's doctor so Jigsaw is just used to calling him that, but why doesn't Dr. Gordon recognise his voice? Also, why would Jigsaw want to kill his own doctor when he's seriously ill?

9. Dr. Gordon is in a room with John's body for ages, he doesn't recognise him. I know he has a mask on half of his face but his nose, etc... are the same. As would be the rest of his body. Although, Dr. Gordon was self absorbed I suppose, so maybe he didn't pay enough attention to his patients.

10. Jigsaw only gets up off the floor and says Game Over to Adam when Dr. Gordon is already out of the room. This is well after 6 o'clock! All this happens after 6: Dr. Gordon saws his foot off then shoots Adam, Adam kills Zep, Gordon tells Adam he's going to get help, then crawls out the door, then Jigsaw gets off the floor. He doesn't trap Dr. Gordon in there even though he failed as well. (my point)

11. Dr. Gordon's trap was a weird one. He'd had his wife and child held hostage... and had been threatened with their deaths but Jigsaw doesn't kill innocents (as far as I can see anyways), he didn't harm Daniel in Saw II but rather he was just a part of Detective Matthews test, so why would he kill Diana? I'm not convinced he's going to hurt Jeff's daughter either. Also, all Dr. Gordon had to do was kill someone who was chained to the opposite wall - erm... not really a test of his will to live is it? And it totally contradicts Jeff's trap, where Jigsaw was trying to get him to forgive and save people's lives. And yes, I know Amanda had to kill her drug dealer but that was her test... it wasn't just his life it was her whole life too - no dealer, no drugs. (my point) I can't explain why his wife and kid were put through that, unless it was so they knew he was in a tricky situation rather than cheating on his wife. Also, he'd been linked to the murders maybe it was to throw the police off.

12. He was positioned by the light switch in Saw I, therefore we don't know what kinda position he was in before the lights were turned on. We tend to follow Adam through the flim, rather than Gordon, i.e. we see Gordon when Adam wakes up and gets spoken to by Dr. Gordon, then asks Gordon to turn the lights on. If Dr. Gordon was awake before Adam why is he just standing around in the dark? Adam asks him to put the lights on and he does, but why didn't he beforehand? Surely that would be your first port of call. Also as they are both the same relation to us, the viewer, why do we only see Dr. Gordon when Adam wakes up? (my point)

13. At the start he seems all jittery and constantly reminds Adam that he "woke up here the same as you!". Hmmmm.... (my point)

14. In Saw III Jigsaw says he can have an ambulance there in 4 minutes?? Links to the hospital?

15. Lynn says “Dr. Gordon, he was your doctor” and Jigsaw says “I was his patient and he was mine” He could had said something crafty like “and we both failed” or what have ya but he never did (bit of a tenuous point I know but still throwing it open to debate).

You know, I used to believe that Gordon was alive, but then I discarded that idea due to weak evidence. Now, thanks to you, I'm about 85% sure that Gordon is still very much apart of these films! It all ties together very well... but sawing off his own foot? The only way that could work out is if Amanda or whoever took care of Eric when he mangled his foot was right around the corner ready to 'help' him out. Personally, I think it was Amanda who helped Gordon then, but maybe not Eric... for obvious reasons. Can't wait till SAW V! I bet you all Gordon comes back... if not, there's still VI and VII. Ugh, the tension is killing me...
