It had been several days since his encounter with Antonia and her refreshing outlook had struck a cord in him. He'd been hiding away essentially, and her tour of the area beyond his neck of the woods had opened his eyes somewhat. If she was pleasant enough to speak with, why not try doing so with others?
He'd done that and had a less then pleasant encounter with a childish kitsusagi by the name of Xianthe. It made Dart less inclined to venture out and meet new people. So, he decided to search out Antonia. She would likely know of some people that would be amusing and less.... chaotic then the Nobody had been (she'd mentioned something about a large family on their tour and it had made him curious - for all he knew he had no family.)
Nosing about one of the buildings near the HQ, he listened for her distinctive voice, ears swiveling about and tails twitching. Where was she?

For her part, Toni had actually had some interesting encounters of her own. She had already known one brother - had sort of grown up with him. But a couple of days ago, she'd met her other brother Sigurd ... and her father. And found out that she didn't really understand either of them that well. She got the feeling that she had more in common with her uncle.
But then again, she had seen him a lot growing up ... so that could have something to do with it. And Ali had always been sort of distant anyway, though she delighted in teasing him.
At the moment, that was exactly what she was doing ... until he decided to end it by using those wings of his to just ... fly away. "Hey!" she called, bouncing up and down. "That's not fair!" Ignoring her, he just soared away and she plopped down again, actually pouting a bit. Oh well ... always another time to catch him ...

Dart's ears picked up her shout and immediately he turned his head that way, ears facing forward. Hmn. Moving forward, he trotted around a corner to find her hopping in place and then flopping onto the ground. Blinking, he looked up and tilted his head.
"What's not fair?" What indeed? It seemed like the other was leaving - a simple enough thing. Dart himself often flew places; it was a normal mode of transport.

Antonia blinked at the sudden new voice and turned her head, ears pricking toward Dart. "Oh, hi Dart!" she called out, getting up and walking over toward him. "It's not fair that my brother's running off when I'm trying to tease him," she explained, plopping herself down again.
Then she smiled, head tilting. "You agree with me right? You think he should COME BACK HERE!!" Those last words, she yelled, turning head in the direction Ali had flown off in - though she knew he probably couldn't even hear her anymore.

"Oh?" Dart blinked and tilted his head, looking past her once more, "I don't think he can hear you...." He was smiling though, amused by her actions. Moving forward, he sat before before Antonia and regarded her with a bemused grin, "How many siblings do you have? Seems like yours is a large family.
"It's been a few days since we last talked. And how have you been? " He smiled then, tails swishing about behind him.

"Just two," she replied, tilting head as well, almost as if mirroring him. "I only met one of them the other day, though ..." she said then, gaze going a bit distant. "He grew up with my mother ... and ... she and my father don't really talk much. Or anything like that." She didn't fully understand why that was, but she'd gotten the distinct feeling there was something ... that had happened between them. Something bad.
But! Best not to think about that. "I've been good! Despite nobody letting me tease them. How about you?"

His smile drooped a little as he wondered if he'd stumbled on a sensitive subject. The situation certainly sounded familiar.... Shaking his head, Dart stepped closer as though to offer a paw in comfort but stopped as she continued. Glad to see her brighten somewhat, Dart flicked his ears, "Thought I'd look around a bit more and met another by the name of Xianthe. Childish that one is...." He frowned thoughtfully but shrugged, neglecting to mention his reason for seeking her out.

Toni thought for a minute, wondering if she'd ever met said kitsu. She didn't think so though ... and tilted head slightly. "Don't think I've met her, so I wouldn't really know," she said with a little smile.
She had noticed his aborted gesture of comfort too ... and that made her happy, that he would want to help. "D'you want to ... maybe go for a walk?" she asked then, ducking head a little.

He shrugged, "Not someone I recommend meeting." Dart laughed lightly and shook his head, tails sweeping about as though he were getting rid of a poor memory. Not that he had been intimidated, just highly annoyed.
Then the Dragoon blinked and tilted his head to the side, one ear cocked to the side so that they weren't symmetrical anymore. "A walk?" He pondered the idea for a moment before nodding his head and nudging her shoulder with his nose, smiling lightly. She didn't need to drop her head like that. He'd come here to seek out familiar faces so why say no?
"Alright. Any place in mind?" He asked as he stepped back and turned slightly, looking at her over his shoulder.

Toni grinned when Dart nosed at her shoulder and bounced a little. "Hmm ... not really." She thought for a minute or two and then ears perked up as she looked around. "Maybe over into the forest..?" she suggested after a moment.

"Mnnn... That'd be nice." He agreed and shook his head, smiling as he flared his wings momentarily and then remembered she couldn't fly. With a hiss the blades settled and he started walking instead, looking a little embarrassed.
Falling back, he walked beside her in comfortable silence. Despite her bouncy personality he found he enjoyed her company and a walk through the familiar woods would be a peaceful way to pass the time.

Ye gods, Tiis was bored...bored and without his usual distraction, his partner. When he was bored, the pink-haired kitsu tended to wander, to find himself something to do, someone to torment, the usual for a fellow of his temperament.
He'd taken to lurking in the forest, and it was about that time that he noted that he was not all alone in this part of the world. Creeping closer, blue eyes alighted on the female at Dart's side, and a wicked grin spread across Tiis' maw. Well well, if it wasn't one of Vergil's brood, and the only lass of the bunch, if Tiis remembered correctly.
"Chaos and mayhem...that's your lot..." He purred to himself, slinking behind a larger tree with a not quite sane glow in sapphire eyes. There was a whisper of his own magic, and a needle appeared, hovering in front of him, and the metallic object was, impossibly, aflame. Then there were two...three...and in utter silence...they scattered, to embed themselves in foliage, dry undergrowth, bark. Oh yes, it should be a jolly blaze.

Toni watched as Dart spread his wings and then folded them again, smiling slightly. She wished sometimes that she did have wings of her own ... like Ali did. Then they could fly together ... but ... oh well. Walking was just as good. Or even ... running!
"Hey," she said suddenly, grinning at the other. "Catch me! And no flying!" Then she bounded off into the trees, failing to notice the scent of smoke on the wind.

Dark paused when she called to him and glanced over then blinked as she suddenly took off running. For a moment, he stared after her as though his friend might be crazy. Nonetheless, the spontaneous air to the whole thing infected him and with a shake of his head, the Dragoon bounded off after her.
Desensitized to fire, Dart didn't notice the cinders that were starting to build either.

In fact, Antonia didn't notice anything really wrong until she actually bounded straight into a clearing where the forest in front of her was on fire. And then she slid to a halt, eyes wide, staring. Oh ... s**t. Spinning, she saw the flames slowly circling around her - cutting off escape.
"Dart!" she called, slowly starting to get scared, confused by smoke and fire ... coughing as she spun again, trying to see a way out.
