"You're really pathetic, you know."
Razalin sat in the Pokemon Center in her usual suit. Despite the formal wear, she didn't sit very 'properly'. Her legs were crossed with her arms stretched across the top of the two chairs beside her.
Sir Van'Tess ('Fuzzy Moron' as she called him) lay at her feet, eyes closed yet not sleeping. He had whined and complained until Razalin brought him to a 'real' Pokemon doctor. Tch! She was a real Pokemon doctor. Besides, that Flareon hadn't hurt him that bad. He just wanted a chance to flirt with more females... Stupid thing.
The Center was unusually empty compared to most days. A few trainers were scattered here and there and a couple children ran around playing. One of them, a little boy, veered off to examine the dozing Ninetales. He made an awe-filled 'oooh' sound and reached his hand out.
"I wouldn't do that," Razalin said suddenly. Guilty, the child immediatly retracted his hand and pouted at her. "If you tug on a Ninetales tail, it will curse you for 1,000 years."
"Reeeally?" The little boy was wide-eyed. Razalin nodded and pushed her glasses further up on her nose.
"Well... Maybe not this one. He's kind of stupid. But most of them are smart and they will."
"Niiine!" the Pokemon protested. His eyes opened just in time to see the annoying kid run off.

Nicholas Hart laid uncomfortably in the seat at the Pokemon Center. Two legs hung over the arm rest as his back rested against the other. He tilted his head far back, looking up at the ceiling's flourescent lighting. The night was quite a bore, but he needed to find shelter somewhere and figured the Pokemon Center would probably be the best place.
Through the corner of his eye he watched a girl talk to a little boy about her Ninetails. He smirked, hearing the myth she told about the Pokemon. He turned his head to her, looking at her strangely.
"You really believe all that crap?" he asked. He gave a light laugh, only for a moment before fixing his posture and sitting up in the chair properly, though slouched. He looked over to make sure his Pokemon - Sea Maiden - was resting all right. She looked at him and gave a goofy smile accompanied with a bark.

"I believe that stories teach children important life lessons," she answered curtly. Her middle and index finger pushed her glasses up. They weren't really falling down this time, it was just something she did out of habbit. "I also it's none of your business, Jerk." What? He sounded like a jerk. "So, please refrain from talking to me."
Now that that was taken care of, she removed the small booklet from her pocket and set to reading. The cover, in small print, read: POKEMON HEALTH The rather blunt title made it obvious to anyone with eyesight the contents.
Van peered at who he assumed was trainer, then back at Razzy. That seemed to go a little too smoothly. Who was he to complain? Shrugging to himself, he lay his head down.

"A little defensive there, huh?" he asked, leaning back in the chair, pushing his legs out more, slouching down some in the chair. "Go on, read your little book, just ignore me. Act like I'm not here. Thaaaaaat's right."
He smiled, having a bit of fun from taunting the girl. Clearly she didn't like him. He didn't mind at all. Not everyone has to love and adore him like some of the other girls do.
The Seel turned her head slightly to the other trainer's Ninetails. She smiled politely and gave a light bark to him to say hello.

Razalin didn't see it as taunting so much as a display of completely tactless ignorance. Finally, he got her attention enough so she glanced sidewards at him dissaprovingly. "I see you take pride in the fact you sound like an axe murderer speaking to women."
Van wasn't all that interested in the pending human arguement. He stretched his back legs, then front, and trotted over to the Seel, sniffing the air around her lightly. It'd been a long time since he'd seen one. "Nine." (Hello.)
