At least her dear friend had taken the news well at least after it had sunken in. Foals. She was actually going to have foals. In truth the thought scared her a little. The little mare didn't think of herself as the motherly type but there was little choice in the matter now. At least Rhapsody would stay near and help her care for their offspring. That certainly made things a little easier.
She lowered her head and drank from the stream. The cool water felt nice after a walk, which seemed to feel longer these days.
The only thing she wished for right now was someone to talk to, who understood the situation. Another mother, since her own wasn't around to talk to about this.

Aishwarya waddled her way along, blowing her mane out of her face. It was autumn, yet she felt warm still, the breeze held a chill and when it touched her she felt alot more comfortable.
She heard the rush and flow of the stream and headed towards it, her tail limply dragging behind her, her heavy belly swaying a little. She moved cautiously to the waters edge, leaning and taking a long drink before standing straight again and letting out a small noise of relief. It was then that she noticed the other mare, and a quick glance told her that she was in the family way as well. 'Oh, hello there.'

The sound of other hooves on the shore caught her attention, causing her ears to perk. The little brown mare lifted her muzzle from the stream and looked toward the sound of the noise. It was just another mare who was in the same situation as her. "Oh...hello."

Aishwarya canted her head to one side, regarding the other. 'I'm Aishwarya.' she introduced herself straight away. She knew nothing of this new Soquili, but the fact that they had one very large thing in common. 'How are you finding being pregnant?' For a moment, she almost didnt say the word, but she figured she must be pregnant as opposed to just a rather weighty mare as the brown mare's belly resembled her own.

"I'm Leilani." The brown mare lowered her head and bent a foreleg slightly, her best semblance at the moment of the polite greeting her Dada had taught her.
"Tiring." She blew a little air from her nostrils. "Very tiring...plus a little scary." Her long tail flicked casually as she regarded the other mare.
She was lovely, with that long elegant black hair and purple coat. Something about her made her seem well suited to the task of motherhood.

'You have a lovely name, and it is good to meet you.' Aishwarya inclined her head in a reply to the other mare's more formal greeting. 'I find it to be so as well. I guess I didnt expect the sheer weight of it all..' she gave a half-smile and flicked an ear. 'Scary? What is it that frightens you?' Aishwarya wasnt a childbirth or pregnancy expert by any stretch of the imagination, the experience of it taught more than mere words could, but she'd spoken to Ardia about it at length once she was certain that she was pregnant, and had taken away a better understanding. 'I mean if you want to talk about it. After all, we did just meet.'

"It is good to meet you as well." Leilani flicked an ear and looked toward the ground, a little embaressed. "I don't know if I would make a good mother...that's all." I don't want my children to end up like I did.

It was something that Aishwarya had though about herself once or twice if she was truthful. 'None of us can know that. We have to do the best we can, do what we think is right and hope for the best.' she chuckled a little. 'Unfortunately foals don't come with instructions. Neither does life, though I often think it would help.' She gave Leilani a warm, encouraging smile. 'I think you'll be a good mother. You're honest enough to admit that you have fears and I think anyone that doesnt worry about bringing new life into the world is just fooling themselves.'

"Thanks, I hope I can be, for their sake." Leilani glanced up at Aishwarya and smiled softly. "You'll make a great mother too...Aishwarya." She glanced toward the horizon and saw the sun begining to dip.
"I should be heading back, Rhapsody will wonder where I've gone off to. Perhaps we'll run across each other again sometime?"

'If what you do is always with their welfare in mind, then you shall be a good mother.' Aishwarya nodded, then shook her head to shake her mane from her eyes. 'I wish you well, and healthy foals.' Aish dipped her head more formally this time, and smiled warmly at Leilani when she stood again. 'I am sure we shall see each other again, and next time we may both have children in tow.'
