  We need an event, PPS Seriously... Something to do with Autumn, haha (I'm not the biggest fan of Holloween) I'd be happy to have a Autumn/fall best avatar contest if we did have an event We should invite Volly as like, woman in honor, yanno? (How do I say that?) Or an event theme that the guild chooses D:< [+]Do we need an event? (Would you like one?) [+]Would you participate? [+]Theme ideas? Ooh, how about a contest for ANYTHING autumn-themed?
Like, a short story, or a poem, or a drawing, or a TekTek, or an avatar edit, or just anything that requires creativity...
And then there could be different categories for the contest, like
Best Autumn-Themed Short Story
Best Autumn-Themed Poem
Best Autumn-Themed Fanfiction
Best Autumn-Themed Drawing
Best Autumn-Themed Outfit Design
Best Autumn-Themed TekTek
Best Autumn-Themed Avatar Edit
Etc.
And like, each category winner would get something on their wishlist, or like gold, or something nifty like that.
And the WHOLE guild could vote, 'cause we could make different threads for the different categories with the little poll-dealies.
Like
"Which drawing was the best?"
Option A: Suzy-Q's 'Leaves'
Option B: Annie-Lou's 'Squash'
Like that?
And different people could head each catergory's thread, that way it isn't a lot of work on one person.
And it wouldn't have to be all about the weather changes, because that can only go so far. It could be like, back-to-school, or the end of something, or death (autumn kinda symbolizes that), or anything that you can possibly connect to autumn, concrete or abstract.
I guess that's not so much of an event idea as it is a contest, though. XD
I dunno.

Ooo! Best Autumn Picture *taken or drawn*, like best coordinated colors, most original, cutest, amazing type thing, or best Autumn Video, that has to have something to do with autumn, but has to be amusing :3 x33 Ooo!! I know! We could all conribute some gold, and put it together to make some sort of big prize jackpot/item type thing :3 biggrin x3 xD *gets carried away with ideas xD x3*

Autumn is cool, but it usually makes me queasy.

I agree. An event to liven the place up!
Hmm... Well, when i think of Autumn, i generally think of pumpkins and scarecrows. Maybe avi competitions for the best scarecrow avi? Pumpkin carving contest? [carve pumpkin irl, pm picture to event coordinator, pictures judged on originality, humor, etc.] I like the art contest idea...
I dunno, Autumn is kind of a hard thing to plan events for, imo. And all my ideas tend to end up as avi contests. sweatdrop

Um, I guess the best way to get it started... er, if we can anyway...
First we should probably come up with the different categories, then take volunteers to head each category...
Then each of those people could make a thread under the event forum, titled after their category. People wanting to join the contest could go to the category they fit under and submit their work. Then, after a deadline (we'll need to set one, I guess XD), the heads of each category edit the first post to contain the work of the contestants and add a poll.
And winners would get... prizes. XD
Would that work out okay, or should we think it through more?

Okay... So how's December 1st for a deadline? That way, there's a month and a half to get everything together. Sort of late, I know, but... We'll do it earlier next year, should we do it again. XD For now, lateness is good! It's hard to explain, but people who aren't really in favour of Halloween contests can do the Autumn stuff, and people that really love Halloween can participate in the Halloween one.
Of course, everyone can participate in both. ;D
And we need catchy names for the ladies who win these fine contests.
Halloween Queen and... Um.
