The Predator and the Prey
By Donny
Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts is owned by Disney and Square Enix. I own the random plot.

Intro: The Organization is on a mission to find their last member. Demyx spots him first and begins to fall in love, but will Axel beat him to the spot of winning XIII’s heart?

Demyx lounged in his favorite chair and tried to balance a pencil on his nose. He did this often whenever he was getting a lecture, or when the group itself was being yelled at. It wasn’t exactly his fault he couldn’t pay attention, people just got boring quickly when they didn’t fluctuate their voice at least ONCE in the conversation.

CoughXEMNAScough.

Seriously, this guy just knew how to talk and talk without remembering to be dramatic about it. And sometimes he got TOO dramatic about it. Though, that was almost better to watch then seeing him doing his boring ‘blah blah Demyx blah blah’ speeches.

“Demyx?”

Demyx jumped slightly as his name was said, “Hmm??”

“What do you think of that?”

“I don’t mind.”

That’s what Demyx’ normal response was. It wasn’t like whatever Xemnas was doing had to affect him anyways. Demyx was always doing the dirty work and Saix had to go and fix it. That’s how it rolled.

“Splendid, now Marluxia would you mind..?”

Marluxia stood up and pulled Demyx to his feet and they disappeared without another word.

As they popped into who knows where Demyx glared at Marluxia, “What are you doing?”

Marluxia crossed his arms, “I’m doing as Xemnas ordered. What are you freaking out about?”

“I wasn’t listening at all, what’d he say?”

Marluxia sighed and shook his head, “Should have known.”

Demyx screwed his face up, “Huh? What?”

“You always do this, Demyx.”

“Yeah well…it’s not like I can help it. Do you SEE how he talks? He STARES into…nothingness…and just….talks. He’s more excited when he talks to inanimate objects then when he talks to us! Dear God, Marluxia, you HAD to have noticed!”

Marluxia rolled his eyes, “He isn’t that bad. Now let’s get going, alright?”

“Wait, what are we doing?”

“….”

“I told you I didn’t listen…”

“The two of us are going to room in an apartment and search for number XIII, alright?”

“Why do we need a XIII? I mean…it’s such an unlucky number-“

“That’s what you think. Now stop being pessimistic and hurry up.”

“But wait, I mean really…why can’t there just be 12 of us?”

“Because Xemnas wants 13 people? I don’t know.”

“This is ridiculous.”

“You’re telling me.”

Demyx followed Marluxia passing several bystanders and entered into a train. With his short attention span he stared out the window for some comfort. He hated it whenever he was forced to leave the castle just to go on a mission. It seemed like they always sent him off to the point he was never home. Was he actually getting the feeling of homesickness? How silly, he didn’t even FEEL!

“Marluxia! Marluxia! Look! A cow!”

“Cute.”

“And a sheep!”

“Lovely.”

“Ooh! Ooooh! Brad Pitt!!”

“Where?”

“Ahaha! Got you there, Marxi.”

Marluxia rolled his eyes, “I didn’t even believe you, dork.”

Demyx slid into his chair and stared at Marluxia, “Do you really think I’m a dork?”

XI looked at Demyx and smiled, “I think a lot worse than that.”

Demyx pouted but decided not to bring it up. Last time he went on a mission with Luxord and discovered that he was a frothing pile of dung in the gambler’s mind. Of course, the guy kind of had a hangover at the time from drinking too much the night before.

“So…what does this guy look like?”

“I don’t know, Xemnas said we’d know once we saw him.”

Demyx scratched his head and stared about the train wondering if it was any of the poor saps there. It didn’t look like it. Hopefully they’d get a younger person added into the Organization, it wasn’t any fun being the youngest. The only person he could relate to was Zexion, and he was too mature for Demyx to even understand. Half of the time he got stuck talking to Xigbar because he dumbed things down for him, and even then he still felt stupid.

There was also Axel, but the redhead would refuse to hang out with him all the time it wasn’t even worth trying. And so now he had Marluxia. Was he just going to get paired with everyone until Xemnas had to deal with him?

A slight shudder went down his spine as he imagined listening to Xemnas for a full 24 hours. That would be horrendous torture!

“Are we there yet?”

“Demyx, we just got on the train…”

“Why couldn’t we have just…teleported there?”

“Because I think normal people would find it extremely scary to see a black hole rip into space and have two people appear out of it like nothing.”

“Yeah, but it isn’t like we’re really concerned about how people thing, right?”

Marluxia sighed and turned toward Demyx so their eyes met. He looked stern at the moment and slightly annoyed. Well, it seemed Demyx had already ruined another friendship, if he could call their relationship that.

“Demyx, when I said we had to stay in an apartment together that means we’ll be rooming for a while.”

“Awhile?”

“Yes, it’ll take a few days to find out where this XIII guy…so we have to act like normal human beings. We can’t use magic, or portal, or do anything out of the ordinary.”

Demyx frowned, “I don’t really know how to act, then.”

“Just be normal, alright?”

Demyx tapped his feet a bit and stared about the people surrounding them, “Will we have to dress like them?”

Marluxia nodded, “Yes, so get used to not wearing your cloak.”

They went silent as the train continued on its course. Demyx continued to tap his feet in boredom and wondered what he should do for the rest of the train ride.

After another 10 minutes Demyx was staring back out the window trying to see if he could stare straight and not let his eyes follow the surroundings that were zooming by.

“Marluxia? Hey, Marluxia…Marrrrxxii-“

“What?”

“Can I open a window? Can I? It’s so…stuffy in here I’m going to die!”

“Fine.”

Demyx opened the window and stuck his head out feeling his hair fly back out of his face. He started to hyperventilate as he was trying to laugh but was in taking more air than he could push out. It wasn’t long until Marluxia pulled him back in and gave him a devious glare that made his organs cry a little.

“What?”

“Stop embarrassing me! People are staring at you!”

Demyx rubbed his hair a bit as his eyes went about the train and did happen to notice that everyone was indeed staring at him. He liked having attention it made him feel somewhat important. Either that or stupid because he was often doing dumb things whenever people decided to watch him.

“You’re right! I didn’t know I was so popular!”

“Oh please, like anyone would fan over you.”

Demyx gave Marluxia a despairing look, “Who wouldn’t? Am I that vulgar?”

Oooh points for using a big word.

“You’re too idiotic to be liked.”

“Nuh uh…”

“You’re also very homely looking.”

“What’s that mean?”

“Plain.”

“I’m not plain.”

“Oh please, what’s unique about your features?”

Demyx opened his mouth and was about to spew out several facts that no one would ever care to know about, when the train made quite the guttural noise and almost lunged everyone forward. Marluxia cursed under his breath at the surprise but resettled himself again. The intercom came on and made garbled noises about something or other that no one would ever be able to decipher.

“Are we there?!?!”

“Possibly.”

The train did another lurch and Demyx landed in Marluxia’s lap this time. The train seemed to slow down completely, and soon it was at a complete stop.

“Ooooh, I think we’ve arrived!”

Demyx got off of Marluxia and straightened his clothes slightly. Not that he was meeting anyone here, right? He just did that out of habit.

“Come on, and stick close, these people could be dangerous.”

Demyx felt his hand be grabbed and noticed that he was practically being dragged out of the train. After staring about a bit he noticed that they were going at quite the pace. Marluxia was always on a hurry, wasn’t he?

“Where we going?”

“To the apartment.”

“Oh yeah.”

“Now hurry up!”

Demyx quickened his pace to match Marluxia’s. Well, that was mostly impossible. His strides were too long and quick that Demyx felt like he was running to catch up, but Marluxia still had a firm grip on his hand so he wouldn’t be able to slow down to catch his breath.

After this vigorous rush to the apartment Demyx was thankful that he could finally stop and breathe.

“What a pain…”

Marluxia glared at Demyx and paid for the rooms and dragged Demyx up several flights of stairs.

By the time they got to the right floor Demyx was going to crumple up in a ball and just die.

“I’m tired.”

“Good, you can sleep for a few hours and leave me alone.”

Demyx watched as Marluxia opened the door with the keys and stared inside. He felt somewhat disappointed. After scaling all of those stairs this is what he came to live in? It was a small room with one bed, a tiny couch/chair thing, and a bathroom. There was no television and a mirror took up most of the wall space besides the nightstands.

“You’re joking, right?”

“About what?”

“This room sucks!”

“Demyx, we’re here on a mission, not to live in luxury.”

Demyx pouted and moaned slightly, “Yeah, but this is just…ridiculous! It’s so tiny…and there’s nothing fun in here…”

“You poor thing.”

“This doesn’t even resemble an apartment…”

“Cry about it.”

Demyx went in and stared about at the cramped little room. With a deep sigh he sat down on the chair and pouted. This soon ended when Marluxia began to pull things out from under the bed. It seemed he had already been here preparing things ahead of time.

“What’s that?”

“Our wardrobe.”

“Really? When did you have time to get clothes?”

Marluxia stared at Demyx and shook his head, “You’re…too stupid for your own good.”

“Heeey…let’s not be mean!”

“I shop all the time, Demyx.”

“I never noticed!”

Marluxia gave Demyx a dumbfounded look, “You ARE stupid.”

Demyx shook his head, “Noooo, I’m not! Stop being so cruel!”

“Haven’t you noticed ANYTHING about me that seems…different than the others?”

Demyx now decided to take in Marluxia’s appearance. Pink styled hair that went well with his blue eyes. He had a good figure about him, and Marluxia was intelligent. Not to forget that his style of clothing was normally better than anyone else’s.

“Um…not…really.”

“God…”

“What?? Tell me!”

“Demyx, I’m GAY for Christ’s sake!”

Demyx slowly registered this and frowned, “Doesn’t that mean like… you like dudes?”

“Yeah.”

“Um…oh…” Demyx stared about the room carefully and his frown deepened, “Is that why you picked a one bedroom apartment??”

Marluxia laughed, “No, it was because it’s cheap! Don’t jump to conclusions, Demyx.”

“Why shouldn’t I?”

“Because you’re homely looking, remember? I wouldn’t do anything to you. Besides, you’re kind of young.”

Demyx crossed his arms, “I don’t see how I’m homely…”

“You have normal hair that is styled horribly and you have boring green eyes. Nothing striking about you, Demyx.”

“That’s mean.”

“I’m being honest.”

“I don’t like it when you’re honest.”

Marluxia shrugged and opened the bathroom door to peek in. With a quick glance over he picked up some of the clothes, “I’m going to take a shower, why don’t you sleep or something?”

Demyx didn’t respond because the door was quickly closed. It wasn’t long before he heard the shower turn on. With eagerness Demyx pulled out his phone and called Axel. Hopefully it would work.

After a few rings Axel picked up, “Yes?”

“Axel-“

“Demyx, I don’t have time.”

“Just ten minutes to talk?”

“…Fine. What’s wrong?”

“Marluxia is a total pain…”

“How’s that?”

“Well…first he burst out of the closet on me, and then secretly planned this one bedroom apartment thing…and then he called me homely looking and said I was stupid…and now he’s taking a shower. He’s not really nice.”

“He called you homely?”

“Yeah.”

“Well…there’s nothing too striking about you…”

Demyx pouted although he knew Axel couldn’t see it, “That’s what HE said.”

“Well don’t mind what he says, it isn’t like you’ll have to marry him or anything.”

Demyx shuddered at that thought but gave an exasperated sigh, “It’s still ridiculous, though. Why am I stuck with him? I mean…even Luxord wasn’t cheap when we had to rent a place! This room sucks.”

“Maybe Marluxia is thinking about what he’s going to do with his money in the future?”

“One bed…ONE.”

“how big?”

Demyx looked at it trying to decide the size, “I’d say….twin.”

“Oooh.”

“What?”

“He plans to make you sleep with him.”

Demyx almost died, “W-what?”

“Oh not in that way, Demyx, he’s just leaving you a bit of space to sleep next to him.”

“B-but-“

“What?”

“He’s…GAY!”

“Well yeah, you should have expected that he’d do this to you.”

“But I didn’t expect anything!”

“Oh yeah, you weren’t listening, were you?”

“No!”

“Well, maybe next time you will…”

“…maybe.”

“Has he pulled anything on you yet?”

“What do you mean?”

“Well…sometimes he says that he doesn’t like you and the whole bit, but then he’ll slip up and do things that make him seem like he is interested…”

“No? All he did was hold my hand at one point, but that’s because he was running so fast that he had to drag me along…”

“Ahaha, cute thought right there. Well I think I should go-“

“Wait! It hasn’t been 10 minutes!”

“Yeah, but-“

“Don’t leave me to this misery!”

“You’ll adjust in a few days. Later!”

Demyx sighed as the Axel had hung up. He shoved his phone back into his pocket and got comfortable on the awkwardly sized chair/couch. It wasn’t long before he passed out in it.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

It didn’t take long for Marluxia to get out and jab Demyx with his elbow. The dirty blonde stared up to see Marluxia looking vibrant than ever and seeming to want to talk to him. Right, like the Assassin really wanted to talk to a homely loser like him.

Yes, he was taking that one personally.

“Demyx, why don’t you get dressed and we can take a walk about?”

Demyx grunted and tried to fall back asleep. This plan was thwarted when Marluxia literally hauled him off the chair and onto the rock hard floor.

“It’ll be fun, trust me.”

Demyx moaned in pure agony as he had landed wrong and tried to sit up. It didn’t help that Marluxia was towering over him.

“I’m awake…I’m awake…”

“Then get dressed!”

“I don’t know hoowwww….”

Demyx let his body fall back to the ground with a thud. He didn’t really mean to say that he didn’t know how, but it wasn’t like he knew what he was saying half the time anyway.

“Then I’ll help you, alright?”

“Okay.”

Demyx laid there not really expecting Marluxia to help him get dressed. It wasn’t long, though, that he was pulled to his feet and had his cloak ripped off of him.

“WHOA WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?”

“Dressing you?”

“More like UNDRESSING me! Mine! Jesus!”

“Demyx, I’m trying to help you-“

“Lose my virginity, yeah I see how it is!”

Marluxia glared, “That isn’t what I’m doing.”

Demyx held his cloak to himself and snorted, “Then what are you doing??”

“…You just said you didn’t know how to dress yourself.”

“….Did not.

“Yeah you did!”

“Whatever.”

“Stop freaking out and get dressed, then.”

Demyx glared and shook his head, “But I don’t want to.”

“Oh please, you’re such a baby.”

“Good!”

Marluxia grabbed some clothes and held them out for Demyx, “Would you just put these on?”

“Why?”

“You can’t go out in your cloak! People with think you’re in a cult or something.”

“Maybe I want people to think I’m in a cult?”

“Ugh. I WILL dress you if you keep this up.”

Demyx gave an offended look and shook his head, “Why do I have to go with you? Can’t I just stay here?”

“You’re to irresponsible to stay here by yourself.”

“What?? Oh come on! I’m 17!”

“Yes, and your mind is at the age of a 7 year old.”

“Is not!”

“Is too, stop arguing.”

Demyx pouted and groaned, “Do I have to?”

“Yes.”

After a few moments of grumbling and pouting Demyx started to undress. Not that he cared if he was in his underwear in front of the other Organization members, but having Marluxia STARE at him while he was doing it was somewhat awkward.

He struggled to get his boots off and listened to Marluxia tap his foot impatiently. It just wouldn’t come off.

“Marluxia, pull on my boot!”

“You really can’t do anything, can you?”

Marluxia grabbed Demyx’ leg and undid the laces before pulling his boot off effortlessly.

“I can too.”

Demyx just wasn’t sure what exactly. After struggling with the last boot he worked at his pants. There was no point in standing up because he knew he’d trip, he always did.

“Gimme something to put on!”

Marluxia threw pants at him and Demyx happily jumped into them. It was like this for a while until he was completely dressed.

“Happy?”

“Not really, you still look kind of boring. Or clueless. One of the two.”

Demyx frowned, “What?”

“Yeah….definitely homely looking…I think I’ll put some makeup on you to at least make you look better.”

Demyx glared, “Hey!”

“No really, it’ll make you look better.”

“There’s nothing wrong with me!”

“I’m just going to make your eyes stick out more, is that so bad?”

“Yes!”

“Okay, go around looking homely, than.”

Demyx cried out angrily, “I’m not homely!”

“Yeah you are.”

“…”

“See? You can’t even deny it.”

“You’re just being mean because I at least look normal.”

Marluxia gapped and shoved Demyx hard into the chair, “What’d you just say, brat?”

Demyx whimpered slightly. He could tell that living with Marluxia was definitely going to be like hell.

“I said…um…that…you could do what you want?”

Marluxia slowly smiled, “Good.”

After a painful 15 minutes Demyx was ready to leave. Or at least wash his face and then leave.

“This hurts my eyes…”

“Cry about it.”

“I would, but I’d hate to see you scream about ruining it.”

“True. Now stop pouting and brush your hair.”

Demyx went over to the mirror and brushed his hair in agony. He could see the makeup alterations on his face clear as day. Though, he was used to his face just looking…normal. Maybe that’s why he noticed it so much. Not that it looked bad, but it kind of hurt when Marluxia purposefully stabbed his eye with the pencil.

After a few swooping motions to his hair to make it stick up somewhat he smiled. It was like a Mohawk, but it would never actually stick up correctly as one. Hairs here and there lay limp, and the back didn’t even try to stick up. It was how his hair normally looked.

“Okay, I’m ready.”

“Good, now let’s take a look about and see if we can spot this XIII guy.”

“How do we know it’s a guy?”

Marluxia paused and thought about it. He wasn’t exactly sure if the last member was a guy or not.

“I’m just assuming.”

“Oh…well…should we look for girls, too?”

Marluxia gave him a critical look and shrugged, “As long as you’re not trying to just hit on them, then fine.”

Demyx laughed, “Because I’m such a player when it comes to the ladies.”

“You have a thing for hanging out with Axel, I wouldn’t doubt it.”

“Oh…well we don’t actually hang out.”

Marluxia gave him a surprised look as he closed the door and made sure it was locked, “Really? You two are normally together whenever I see you.”

Demyx thought about it. Often times Demyx followed Axel around just to bug him to death, not to really hang out. Besides, Axel didn’t like him all that much. In fact, no one really did.

“Yeah..um…that’s because I try to talk to him.”

“Oh, so he really doesn’t like you?”

Demyx shrugged, “I wouldn’t say he doesn’t like me…”

“Then what would you call it?”

They made it down the several flights and Demyx fell silent. He wasn’t sure what to call it. Then again, he never had to think about it until now. Man, Marluxia was just putting him down at every point he could.

“I…don’t know.”

Marluxia gave him a skeptical look but dropped it seeing that Demyx was having a hard time understanding it himself. They walked out the building and entered the streets. They were made of bricks and a lot of the walkways wound about here and there. They passed under a bridge and watched a small trolley drive by on its tracks near them. It was really a quaint town compared to what Demyx had seen before.

“Everyone looks so…happy.”

“I noticed, it’s almost disgusting.”

“I wonder what time it is?”

“Does it matter? It seems like twilight at the moment.”

“Um..yeah..but it was like that an hour ago.”

Marluxia stared up at the clouds angrily, “Yeah…I noticed that, too. How weird.”

“Maybe it never changes?”

“What a ******** up town.”

They walked under a banner that screamed, ‘WELCOME TO TWILIGHT TOWN’ in bold obnoxious looking letters.

“How ironic.”

Demyx giggled and stared about as a few kids and adults were watching a street performer. He got enthralled in watching the kid try and keep a ball up in the air. Demyx wondered if he would be allowed to try, it looked like fun!

“Demyx, pay attention.”

Demyx turned and noticed Marluxia was already heading off somewhere else. Ah, he never stopped to do anything…did he?

“What should we do here?”

“We’re just scanning the area. Don’t get lost.”

Demyx frowned as he was lectured and watched Marluxia continue on into the streets. That wasn’t where he wanted to go. And so, without hesitation, Demyx turned the other way and went up the path into a deserted looking area. A few gates and poles were here and there, and he noticed some tattered cloth hanging around one area. Curiously he walked up towards it and peeked inside. There was a room there with posters and the such.

Demyx turned around and began to head down another path when a blonde rammed right into him. With such power he fell onto his rear and whimpered slightly at the pain. Oooh, if only the bricks weren’t made out of cement.

“Ouch…um…sorry.”

The blonde got up and held his hand out to Demyx. He grabbed it and was pulled up.

“It’s alright, I should have gotten out of the middle of the road.”

The kid smiled, “Well…I always run in the middle, so this happens often.”

Demyx smiled back, “I’m new here. Demyx is my name.”

“I’m Roxas!”

Demyx thought about that. Roxas? It…seemed odd. But what was it…that made it so mysterious? So different?

“I’ve lived here for a while. I was supposed to get something for a friend, but I can show you around town if you want!”

The blonde smiled happily and his blue eyes sparkled. He was so friendly that Demyx was grateful the kid had almost cracked his brains on the bricks. After being with Marluxia for a while he had a feeling that his mood was being sapped out of him by his rude and mean behavior.

“Really? I’d like that, I’m kind of lost.”

Roxas laughed, “I don’t see how anyone could ever get lost in this town. It’s so small!”

“Well…these paths are just…crazy.”

“Yeah, true.”

Demyx followed Roxas about and learned where everything was. They even had a forest! How insane was that?

“So…tell me. Is it actually going to be twilight all day and night?”

“Yeah.”

“That’s so insane. I mean, I’ve been to odd places and all…but this is just crazy.”

“Well, you get used to it after a while. The only place that it looks like it’s changed would be up on that mountain, but going up there alone is kind of boring. Besides, its almost like a ‘lovers leap’ type thing.”

Demyx stared at the mountain and looked at Roxas, “Oh, so lovers go up there?”

“Yeah, and they make out and have babies.”

“W-what?”

“That’s what Hayner told me. I don’t know if it’s true or not, I’ve never been up there.”

Demyx wondered if it was true. That just made him want to go.

“We should go and see if there ARE people up there! I mean, aren’t you curious?”

“Well…yeah but-“

“Well then let’s go!”

Roxas was now following Demyx as the boy was running towards the mountain almost crashing into people. Roxas huffed a bit as they started to incline and the place got steeper. Slowly they made it all the way to the top and found no one.

Roxas stared around, “Huh…no one.”

“Wow, your friend totally lied, what a jerk.”

Roxas shrugged, “Well…I wasn’t expecting the truth, really.”

They stared at the sun. It almost looked like it was setting. Demyx felt dazzled by it’s beauty.

“At least it’s a nice view up here!”

Demyx turned his back to the sun and looked over at the train tracks on the other side, “You can see so much up here! It’s awesome.”

Demyx was used to sitting on top of the castle back in The World That Never Was and staring down at nothingness because the whole world was so bland and boring. Everything was dark and covered in Heartless, it could make anyone cry.

Roxas watched as Demyx’ attention span slowly wore out and watched as his green eyes landed on him, “Well…that’s all I have to show you.”

Demyx shrugged, “Well that was fun. Now what?”

Roxas scratched the side of his face and smiled, “Would you like to get some ice cream?”

Demyx smiled, “Sure! Though I don’t have any money on me.”

“Money?”

“Munny, whatever.”

“Where ARE you from?”

“Uh…well…it’s pretty far from here.”

Like a whole other world. One that wasn’t really supposed to exist, or it did and the title of it was just to throw people off into trying to figure out how something wasn’t suppose to exist came into existence.

But Demyx was never troubled with that type of thinking because he was simple minded.

“How far?”

“Like…another world far.”

“Really? That must be a long distance. I’ve never been outside of town before.”

“Maybe because that’s all that is on this world?”

“Huh?”

“Nevermind.”

Roxas kept walking and smiled, “You know, you’re funny.”

“How am I funny?”

“You just talk funny is all.”

Demyx wasn’t sure if he should take that as an insult or something good. Well, he might as well appreciate anything that Roxas said before he met up with Marluxia again. Oooh, he could picture the world of hate coming out of the Assassin’s mouth. With a slight sigh he gave a weary smile at Roxas. Maybe this kid would pity him and take him in? Hah, like that’d ever happen.

“Hey Roxas, what’s your favorite childhood memory?”

Roxas gave a confused look and shrugged, “I don’t really…remember my childhood that easily. I just remember being here I think. Yeah. I’ve been here all my life I think.”

“You don’t remember?”

“No…not really. I almost feel like I just came into existence one day.”

Demyx rolled that over in his mind, “Huh…I feel that way, too. All I remember…is just meeting everyone at the castle-“

“You live in a castle?”

“Well uh,” s**t, he wasn’t supposed to let that drop, “kinda, it’s just really big…so I call it a castle!”

“Oooh. So you live with a bunch of people?”

“Yeah.”

“Are you in an orphanage or something?”

“W-what? No! I’m not an orphan.”

Or at least he didn’t think he was. He would never exactly know unless Xemnas told him, and even that guy didn’t know much about everyone’s past.

“Oh, so why do you live with a bunch of people, then? Is it like a boarding school?”

“Well…no not exactly. It’s kind of like…um…I can’t really describe it. We’re just a cluster of people who are unique in our own way.”

Yeah, just make it sound like they all were superior to the human race.

Roxas winced, “You mean you live in like… a mental institute?”

Wow, was Demyx coming off as a total idiot? That sucked, Roxas thought he was stupid.

“No! Um. If I could find Marluxia I’d be able to explain it easier. Then again, I don’t want to meet up with him right now. You see, he’s kind of growly and rude.”

Roxas giggled, “He’s got a funny name.”

“Girly sounding?”

“Yeah!”

They both laughed, Demyx already liked Roxas. Too bad they wouldn’t be together for long, they were only here to meet XIII.

They came to a slow and Roxas bought them ice cream.

“Its sea salt flavored, you’ll love it!”

Demyx tasted it and felt a sweet flavor enter his mouth, which turned salty, and then went back to sweet again. It was almost like magic or something.

“It does taste good!”

Roxas nodded, “I eat it a lot.”

Demyx savored the taste in his mouth and sat down on a bench with Roxas. They slowly ate their ice cream happily.

“So why’d you move here? Is your castle place disbanded or something?”

“I’m actually on a mission!”

“Really? Cool.”

“Yeah, I get sent on missions a lot.”

“I wish I could be all secretive like that! What’s the mission about?”

“Oh we’re just trying to find someone is all. I guess we’re expanding our members or something.”

“How do you qualify to get in?”

“I’m…not exactly sure.”

“How’d you get in?”

“Someone found me. His name is Xigbar, he just…popped out of nowhere and grabbed me. Of course, I really don’t remember much before then. Like where I lived…”

“Awesome! I wish people would do that to me! This town can get pretty boring after a while.”

Demyx laughed, “Maybe you are the person I’m looking for?”

Roxas smiled, “It would be fun to live in a castle.”

“Well, it has a few down sides to it, but you just have to work around that to be entertained.”

Roxas finished his ice cream and chucked the stick in the garbage near the bench, “Do you get bored easily?”

“Yeah, I do!”

“I can kind of tell. Do you have like, a short attention span or something? I kind of do. Things just aren’t that entertaining.”

Demyx thought about it, he really did have some problems with his attention span.

“I think I have ADD, but I’m not sure.”

His eyes landed on a few people walking by and he chucked his own stick into the garbage. It was then that he saw Marluxia.

“Oh no!!”

“Whoa, you really do have ADD.”

“Look! It’s Marluxia! Gah, he sees me. You know what this means…”

“Um…what?”

“He’s going to go on a rant on me. And then call me a bunch of rude names and the what not.”

“Like what?”

“He says I’m homely.”

“What’s that mean?”

“Plain.”

“I don’t think you’re plain. I mean, if you’re in a unique group thing, how could you be plain?”

Demyx never thought about it like that. Then again, they weren’t exactly a ‘unique’ group. More like insane half dead beings. But Roxas didn’t need to know that.

“Um…I don’t know…”

“Is he…”

“Gay?”

“I was going to say something else, but sure.”

“Yes.”

“That explains his funny hair color.”

Demyx giggled and then dropped his smile as Marluxia approached them, “Demyx…I thought I told you not to wander off!”

“It’s alright, I met Roxas, here, and he showed me about the pl-“

“Roxas?”

“Yeah-“

Marluxia stared at the kid critically, “Uh huh. Well…why don’t you be nice, Demyx, and invite Roxas over to our place?”

Demyx blinked, “Because right now we live in a tiny apartment that would make a claustrophobic shoot himself?”

Marluxia sighed, “Stop whining.”

“I’m not!”

Marluxia sighed, “Can I talk to you for a minute?”

Demyx stared at Roxas and rolled his eyes as he got up. They walked off a bit and Marluxia looked back at the blonde before staring at Demyx.

“Where did you find him?”

“He ran into me a while back.”

“Do you know what this means?”

“N-no? Did I do something wrong?”

“No, Demyx, you did something GOOD.”

“I did?”

“Yes, can’t you see it? That’s number XIII!”

Demyx gapped and then thought it over critically, “How do we know for sure?”

“His name, idiot.”

“What about it?”

“It has an X in it.”

“…Ohhhh…”

Maybe that’s why it sounded so familiar. Who knew that he’d find XIII so easily?

“Look, I want you to befriend him no matter what, and get him close to you. It’ll make things easier when we take him back home, alright?”

“Well…okay. Just don’t scare him off.”

“Who, me?”

“Yeah, he thinks your hair is funny looking.”

Marluxia glared but went back over to Roxas who was counting ants.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t properly introduce myself. My name is Marluxia.”

Roxas shook hands with him, “I’m Roxas.”

Demyx smiled, “I’m Demyx!”

Marluxia rolled his eyes, “You’re hopeless.”

Roxas giggled slightly and stood up, “Hey, Demyx! You said that Marluxia would be able to tell me more about your unique group thing!”

Marluxia exchanged a glare with Demyx and smiled, “Oh yes, it’s kind of top secret, but I’m sure our Superior wouldn’t mind us telling you.”

Roxas gave a big smile, “Really??”

“Of course.”

Demyx gave a sigh of relief. That went over better than he thought. And so they made their way to their apartment to tell him everything.

That was cute. I love Demyx's cluelessness, and Roxas' obliviousness. And Marly is awesome as always. I'm excited to read the next chapter! 3nodding

Roxas had stayed over until it was nighttime. They had actually a great time for all practically sitting on top of each other’s laps. Though, Demyx probably wouldn’t have minded that so much.

Wait…

Did he…

Nah, he meant nothing by that.

He knew that Marluxia would have liked it!

Oooh, burn!

Well, it wasn’t much of a burn since he was thinking this. Oh well.

Anyway, Roxas had left and Demyx stretched obviously tired beyond belief. Who knew that talking and finding out things would tucker someone out? With a yawn Demyx sat down on his stupid chair/couch and tried to get comfortable on it. He badly wanted to talk to Axel again and tell him the good news, but Marluxia had kept bickering at him to not tell anyone as of yet.

Why?

He had no idea why.

Marluxia was just nitpicky like that.

“Demyx, you should go to bed. You look tired.”

“I’m getting there.”

Marluxia rolled his eyes as he combed through his hair and stood in front of the mirror in his boxers. Demyx’ eyes kept wandering over to the pink-haired man wondering if he was clad for a reason.

No, he really didn’t want to know why.

“Do you think Axel and the others are having any luck?”

“Luck with what?”

“Finding Roxas.”

Marluxia raised his eyebrow, “Obviously they wouldn’t considering we already found him, and also the others probably aren’t looking.”

“Why not?”

“Because they don’t care what Xemnas wants. They care what they want. And what they want is their hearts back.”

Demyx nodded, “Oh..yeah. I think we still have hearts.”

“So I’ve heard.”

Demyx shrugged and yawned again as he started to empty his pockets wondering what exactly he had stuck in there. Too much crap.

Oh, a penny!

He flicked it in the air and set it down with the few other things, and set his phone down for a few minutes to get off his sweatshirt.

Though, he really didn’t want to. The room was freezing by now. Roxas was the only person that had been keeping the room warm since he was still in a way living.

“Don’t you ever get tired of carrying that thing around?”

Demyx blinked, “What? My phone?”

“Yes! You’re constantly playing with it. I thought you’d be a more active person and outside, but all you do is stay inside and play games on it.”

“Well I don’t always play games on it.”

“What do you do, call Axel? How pointless. You could walk a few feet and meet him at his doorstep.”

Demyx frowned, “Unless we happen to be worlds apart.”

“Does he even like talking to you on the phone? Considering you had mentioned something about him not really liking you, I don’t see why you even bother him.”

Demyx opened his mouth and closed it. That hurt. Why was Marluxia always so…blunt and cruel with his words?

“Um…”

“You’d probably be better off throwing it away and getting a new hobby. And I mean a real hobby, not producing bubbles and clones to dance with whenever you get bored.”

Demyx sighed, if he had a heart he was sure Marluxia’s words would have shattered it, “Sorry?”

“Whatever. Why don’t you take a shower or something? We’ll be busy tomorrow!”

“Doing what?”

“You’ll be hanging out with Roxas while I’ll be contacting Xemnas with a few things, plus I’m making a few reservations and such. You’ll see in due time.”

Demyx shrugged, “Okay.”

He went and took a shower gladly getting away from Marluxia’s ranting at him. When he came out and got dressed for bed and what not, he noticed Marluxia hadn’t fallen asleep. He was reading. Great.

Marluxia glanced at him and gave the boy a critical look, “That shirt doesn’t fit you.”

Demyx sighed, “That’s why I use it as a night shirt.”

The Assassin shook his head, “It makes you look like a dork. You should take it off.”

Demyx poked at the turtle on his shirt, “But I like it…”

“Demyx, you look like you’re suffocating in that thing.”

“Well I’m not.”

“It’s hideous.”

“No its not!”

“Don’t make me rip it off of you.”

“Come get it!”

Demyx didn’t think that Marluxia was actually going to try and rip his shirt off of him, but it wasn’t very long that XI had launched himself from the bed and tackled him to the ground, struggling in a wrestling match with Demyx who squirmed and kicked a lot.

After a while Demyx was running out of stamina, “You’re killing me…”

“It’ll end quickly if you just get rid of your shirt.”

“So you can stare at my chest?”

“Demyx!”

“Ahaha, what? Is that the reason?”

Marluxia removed the shirt and pinned Demyx, “Oh please, you could only wish someone liked you that way.”

“That isn’t very nice.”

“And it’s the truth!”

Marluxia threw the shirt in the garbage and Demyx shivered, “Oh God…it’s freezing.”

“Well that’s why you sleep in bed with blankets.”

Demyx gave Marluxia a quizzical look. Was Axel right about Marluxia offering him room to sleep in bed with him? Not a lot of room, obviously, but enough to fit them both in it.

“But-“

“What? Are you used to sleeping on lily pads or something? It’s a bed, it’s comfortable.”

“Unless I have to share it with you.”

Did he really just let that slip? Yeah, he did.

“Don’t be such a wuss!”

“I’m not!”

“Then why are you making it such a big deal? It’s a bed!”

“Yeah, I know. I just don’t like sharing.”

“You poor thing.”

Demyx grumbled, he wasn’t going to win. Marluxia was way too manipulative for him.

“Yeah..well…don’t touch me while I’m sleeping-“

“Oh God Demyx-“

“Well I don’t know how you are like!”

“I’m not a *****, you idiot.”

“Okay, well I’m not an idiot…”

“Now that is hard to believe.”

Demyx stood up and glared, “Could you stop being mean to me? I don’t like it.”

Marluxia got up himself and put his hands on his hips, “What…are you the ‘sensitive’ type?”

Demyx glared but didn’t say anything, he was just tired of dealing with Marluxia. No wonder no one wanted to be around him.

“Aww, did I upset you? Come on, Demy, don’t give me that look. You should know that I’m not a very nice person.”

Demyx gave him a confused look, “I actually don’t know that much about you.”

“Well then you’ll just have to learn the hard way, hmm? Now we should get some sleep.”

“Great.”

They got in bed and Demyx sighed to himself wondering exactly why he was stuck in this torture.

Oh yes, he hadn’t paid enough attention, that’s what.

With a few upset breaths he fell asleep.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

When Demyx awoke he gave a loud yawn and brushed his messy hair out of his face, shoving his head under his pillow noticing that Marluxia hadn’t gotten up yet.

He was still very tired and somewhat sore. Had all that wrestling gotten to him?

Or..

Had…Marluxia gotten to him?

With a slight jump he smashed his head into the headboard and groaned in agony of the pain he had just caused himself.

Marluxia glared over at him and stared at the time, “Go back to bed, Demyx.”

Demyx rubbed his head, “What time is it?”

“It’s almost 7.”

Demyx scrambled to get up, “Oh man! We’re going to miss out on all the fun if we sleep any later!!”

Marluxia glared, “You’re joking.”

Demyx fell out of bed and tried to find his clothes, “I’m not joking! The best time to do things is when the sun is up!”

“Demyx…don’t make your unlife any worse than it already is.”

“What do you mean?”

“You don’t want me in a bad mood.”

“Well…I’ll get dressed and see if you’re awake in..um.. another 15 minutes. That should be enough time.”

Marluxia groaned and hid himself in the blankets as Demyx rushed to get dressed.

After he had fixed himself up and was ready for the day he came out of the bathroom and saw that Marluxia was sleeping again.

“Marluxia!”

No movement.

“M-Marluxia?”

Still no movement.

“Hey…Marluxia, wake up.”

A small groan came from XI and it made Demyx smile slightly. The guy was so zoned. Maybe he could call Axel?

He dialed the guy’s number and listened to it ring a few times before a sleepy voice came on.

“Blaaah..aaahh…hi?”

“Axel!”

“Oh God…Demyx…”

“Hey, wake up! It’s morning!”

“Where YOU’RE at. It’s still 3 here…”

“Oh, sorry. Well, I’m calling to say that we’ve successfully found the XIIIth member!!”

A mumble and groan came from the other end before he heard Axel’s voice say more clearly, “Yeah? What’s he like?”

“Blonde, short, young.”

“How young?”

“Mmm…maybe the same age as me.”

“Ah. Young.”

“Hey, so I’m supposed to be his friend and all…I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to go about doing that…I mean…”

“No one wants to be friends with you?”

“Um…yeah…”

“Well, I guess you could be more like me.”

“I don’t know how to do that…”

“Just act suave, and hit on the kid all the time.”

“Wouldn’t that make me look gay?”

“Well…I meant if he swung that way.”

“I don’t think he does…”

“Ah…then just act natural and don’t say anything stupid.”

“Okay.”

“How’s the slut doing?”

“S-slut?”

“Marluxia.”

“Oh…” Demyx’ eyes went over to the sleeping beauty, “He’s not used to my early morning routine.”

“Yeah…I don’t think anyone could be.”

“So…act natural…okay..I think I can do that.”

“Oh, and if he gives you an annoyed face or tries to leave you, I think that means you’re being too much of a dork.”

“Um…okay.”

“Yeah, there are you tips for the night.”

“Morning.”

“Whatever.”

The phone hung up and Demyx shoved it in his pocket wondering why he even called. He probably could have gotten the same advice from Marluxia. He slinked over and sat next to the Graceful Assassin poking him, “Hey…Marluxia…”

“What.”

“Am I really annoying?”

“Yes.”

“…Okay…”

Demyx got up and sighed as he wasn’t sure what to do, “Is it okay if I leave?”

“No…”

“Why not?”

“I don’t trust you to be alone.”

Demyx sat down on the couch/chair, “Um…why?”

Marluxia sat up looking quite tired, “Probably because you’re too stupid to take care of yourself.”

“I am not…”

“Why else would Xemnas pair me up with you?”

“Because I’m young…”

“Zexion is the same age as you and he’s allowed out by himself.”

“Well, Zexion acts like he’s as old as Vexen, though.”

“And you act like you’re ten.”

“I do not…”

“You do too, Demyx, you can’t lie.”

Demyx frowned and grumbled, “Whatever. Are you going to get ready yet?”

“No, I’m going to make you sit there for two hours while I get more sleep.”

“But-“

“Shut up, idiot.”

Demyx sighed and pulled out his phone to poke the buttons a bit and play a game. Though, it wasn’t long until Marluxia walked over and ripped it out of his hands.

“What are you doing??”

“Taking your phone away.”

“But why??”

“Because you don’t need to carry it around like it’s precious.”

“But-“

“Shut up, Demyx.”

Demyx crossed his arms and slouched, “You’re always so mean to me…”

Marluxia threw Demyx’ phone into his bag as he started to pull out clothes, “Yup.”

He didn’t even deny it, what a jerk. Demyx groaned and tried to entertain himself by pulling the strings off of the couch.

When Marluxia was ready, which took forever, Demyx was so bored out of his mind he tried to memorize the alphabet backwards.

“Alright, I’m ready.”

“Oh good-“

“Demyx, you look like a slob.”

Demyx groaned, “Thanks. No really, keep talking, I want to hear you badger me some more.”

“Don’t get so upset-“

“Please, keep talking, I like it when you say things like ‘oh my god, Demyx, you’re disgusting’ because it makes my day-“

“Demyx!”

“What?”

“You’re being such a baby.”

“Good!”

“Grow up-“

“I don’t want to, I’ll end up being some snotty stuck up loser like you.”

Marluxia glared, “Excuse me?”

“You heard me.”

“I’m giving you a chance to correct your sentence, buster.”

Demyx noticed the icy glare he was getting and shrugged, “I think what I said was perfectly fair.”

Marluxia grabbed his collar, “Don’t make me slap you-“

“Please do-“

And Marluxia hit him so hard Demyx wasn’t sure what his name was afterwards. It took a few minutes to register what was going on, and finally he pouted.

It stung and made his eyes slightly water.

He didn’t like this anymore.

Marluxia noticed that Demyx was obviously not enjoying the fact that he hit him and set the kid down, “Look, if you’re going to be a pain I’m going to treat you like one-“

“Yeah, because I go around and say ‘Marluxia, please say something bad about me, I really like it.’ You’re just…being an a*****e because no one likes you-“

Marluxia glared, “No one likes ME? Don’t be ridiculous! You’re the one everyone hates!”

Demyx looked away, “Yeah…I know.”

“Then stop acting like such a brat and people might start liking you!”

Demyx rubbed his face and shook his head, “I don’t want people like you to like me…”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Exactly what it means! All you do is make fun of me like everyone else! Why would I want to be friends with people like you?”

Marluxia sighed, “Just because someone might start liking you doesn’t mean they’d want to be friends with you.”

“What?”

“Okay, if you changed your attitude a bit people wouldn’t mind you all that much, but no one would ever want to be your friend.”

“W-why?”

“Because, Demyx, you’re just too ugly.”

“That has nothing to do with it.”

“Whatever. Think what you what.”

Demyx looked away and stared at Marluxia, “Why do you hate me?”

“What?”

“Why do you hate me?”

“Probably because you’re annoying and stupid.”

Demyx sighed and gave his face one last rub. That’s right. That’s how everyone thought about him. He wasn’t sure why. Did he really deserve that kind of feelings toward him? Not like Marluxia could feel or anything…

“Let’s just go…”

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

Demyx walked in the streets staring up at the sky wondering why he had been stuck doing this mission. Possibly Xemnas had a personal grudge against him that made the man think, ‘hey, let’s cause Demyx lots of pain’?

Well, whatever it was, Demyx didn’t like it. For one he was starving but not at the same time. Not that they really needed to eat, but sometimes he got cravings for certain foods. Then again, he couldn’t really feel cravings, he just thought that he had them. At least that’s how Saix explained it last time he had to be with the grump. In fact, who wasn’t a grump toward him?

Exactly, it seemed everyone in the Organization hated him for some unknown reason, which Marluxia had pointed it out as both ‘being ugly’ and ‘stupid and annoying’. Whichever it really was, Demyx didn’t want to know the true answer. For some reason he didn’t think that he was that ugly looking. Sure, he wasn’t gushing with flaming red hair, or yellow glazing eyes, or even battle scars from who-the-hell-knows-where. His features were that of a teenager. Were they really supposed to be overly amazing?

“Demyx…your chin is bothering the hell out of me.”

Demyx blinked and looked over at the Graceful Assassin who had looked quite amazing as usual with his features always being perfect.

“What about it?”

“It’s discolored.”

“That’s a birthmark on my chin!”

“Well it’s hideous, it looks like you didn’t have enough time to wash your face or something.”

“I like my birthmark…”

“Why?”

“Because it’s unique.”

Marluxia snorted, “Unique? I already told you there is nothing unique about you. Compared to that old man over there, you’re just another person in the crowd.”

Demyx shrugged, “I still like it.”

“I don’t see how you can like it.”

“Probably because I’ve always had it, and instead of changing myself to be liked by others I began to like myself first.”

“Oh what a bunch of bullshit.”

Demyx sighed and touched his chin wondering if it really looked that bad. Why was everything about him so disgusting? He didn’t get it.

“I’d fix it for you, but you’re inconsiderate of everything I do for you, so I don’t see why I should.”

Demyx frowned, “Inconsiderate?”

“Yes, you hate everything I do for you.”

“More like I hate everything you say to me.”

“I haven’t said anything that was out of line.”

“Well…then you’re being brutally honest with me and I don’t like it.”

“What, do you want me to lie to you?”

“Well…no but-“

“Then I’ll be brutally honest.”

“Could you do it in a less…hurtful way?”

Marluxia raised an eyebrow, “Why, does it bother you that much to have people point out that you’re annoying?”

“Yes..it does..”

“…Well..I guess I could be somewhat nicer about what I say.”

“Thank you.”

They walked on a little bit and Marluxia heard Demyx’ stomach growl, “You must be hungry.”

“I can’t help it. For being basically dead I keep getting the urge to want to eat.”

“That’s okay, we could get something if you’d like.”

Demyx looked about, “I wouldn’t know what to eat.”

“I already have something in mind.”

Demyx followed Marluxia into a little food shack and found that it was actually a very appealing restaurant. He wasn’t expecting them to have a breakfast menu, but they did. And it was enormous. He could have anything he wanted. How awesome was that?

After they ordered they sat there in dull lighting unable to tell if it was morning or night. Demyx kind of liked it.

“What are you going to do with Roxas today?”

“I don’t know, I was guessing he’d think of something. Besides, I don’t know where exactly he’s at. I got lucky last time when I ran into him…”

“Oh lovely.”

“It isn’t like this place is that huge or anything. I’m bound to find him.”

Marluxia played with his drink and shrugged, “Well as long as you don’t lose sight of him. After breakfast I’m going to be gone for a while…of course, after you find Roxas.”

“Yeah yeah..I know.”

“Just making sure.”

“I won’t do anything stupid.”

“Alright.”

Demyx sipped at his juice and chewed on the straw out of boredom. Marluxia wasn’t exactly very entertaining. This reminded him of the time he had to spend a week with Saix. The guy liked to spend money on random things, but he was too snotty at times. Especially when it came to talking to Demyx. Only a few times did the guy lighten up, and that was only after he finished going berserk on something completely random. Other than that he was pretty high strung.

“I wonder what Axel’s doing….”

“Why’s it matter?”

“I don’t know…just curious I guess.”

“Demyx, do you like Axel?”

“Yeah?”

“No, I mean do you like him.”

“…umm…what?”

“Do you LIKE him?”

“What…kind of like are we talking about?”

“The intimate kind?”

Demyx frowned in disgust, “No…”

“Are you sure? You talk about him all the time.”

“Because he’s the only one who tolerates me..I think.”

“Okay…just making sure.”

“Do you want me to talk about the others? Because…well the story is normally along the lines of ‘and then they yelled at me’ and ends with ‘so they left me in a garbage can behind a Chinese restaurant’.”

Marluxia giggled, “Is it always a Chinese restaurant?”

“With Saix it was a butcherhouse so I got soaked in rotten meat and blood, and with Lexaeus it was behind a construction house….and Larxene dumped me in a bunch of cleaner chemicals…”

“Well, I assure you I won’t throw you into a garbage can.”

“I hope you don’t…those things are hard to get out of…”

Marluxia smiled and shook his head, “You’re such a dork, Demyx.”

“So you’ve told me…”

“Well, a dork in a cute way.”

“Yeah right. Me, cute? What a silly thought. I’m as cute as Lexaeus.”

Marluxia gapped and laughed, “That’s mean. Though, I suppose you’re right. You can be cute sometimes, though.”

Demyx shrugged, “Not like it’ll ever come in handy for me.”

The waitress gave them their food and Demyx poked about his food, eating what he wanted. Marluxia ate daintily as usual and watched at how Demyx tried to cut up some of his food, obviously failing.

“You’re so hopeless, Demyx.”

He grabbed his hand and helped him cut his food.

“Thanks.”

“You’re welcome.”

Demyx munched on his food and stared about the restaurant knowing Marluxia wasn’t one to talk while trying to eat like he was some elegant Prince in the year 1500. Demyx felt like a slob compared to him. Though, it was part of his personality and looks, right? Yeah, so it didn’t matter how he ate.

When they finished Marluxia grabbed a napkin and wiped Demyx’ face off, “You know I’m not your mother, can’t you take care of yourself?”

“Yeah, but then what would you do?”

Demyx got up and started to drift off, Marluxia tailing behind him.

“We need to find Roxas before you can wander off, Demyx!”

“I’m not wandering, I’m looking.”

“Well slow down.”

“Walk faster!”

“We just ate!”

“What, Marluxia, is eating and walking too much of a workout for you?”

“Brat.”

Demyx giggled as he started to speed up in hopes of losing the guy. It might work. With a few turns he thought he had been successful in losing the Assassin, but wound up running right into him.

“How’d you-“

“You brat!”

Demyx was grabbed by his collar and shaken slightly, “Don’t ever wander off like that again!”

“Whoa…you’re not my mom…”

Mocking? Maybe.

“Whatever.”

Marluxia grabbed Demyx’ hand and pulled him along.

“Why are you holding hands with me??”

“Because you refuse to slow down for me.”

“Or maybe it’s because you like holding hands with guys?”

He received a vicious glare and then he stopped in mid-step, making Demyx crash into him.

“Thanks for the warning.”

“He’s right there…”

Demyx turned and saw Roxas tying his shoes in front of his house, obviously not in much of a rush.

“Well that was easier than I thought!”

“Right, Now be good, and return back to the hotel before 10.”

“Okay, mom.”

Marluxia glared and broke apart from him, Demyx’ hand being freed from Marluxia’s. Eleven disappeared and Demyx quickly ran up to Roxas.

“Hey!”

Roxas looked up and smiled, “Oh hey, Demyx, what’s up?”

“Not much, just being bored and all…”

“Interesting. You doing anything right now?”

“Not really.”

“Well then you can come with me to the Usual Spot!”

“Usual Spot?”

“Yeah, my friends and I hang out there. You can come with!”

Was this almost like being a friend of Roxas’ if he was being accepted into a place where only his friends were allowed? Demyx was going to take it as that way. Woot! Friends!

They arrived there and found a few others there, three to be exact.

“Who’s that?”

“His name is Demyx, he’s new around here.”

A kid with cameo pants on crossed his arms and stared Demyx up and down, “He looks kind of old…”

Demyx blinked. He looked old? COOL!

“Hayner! Be nice. Hello, my name’s Olette,” the girl in orange said with a polite wave.

Another kid who was sitting on the couch with a red shirt on smiled, “I’m Pence.”

Hayner scoffed, “Great, now that we’re all introduced let’s get going!”

Demyx looked at Roxas, “Where are all of you going?”

Roxas smiled, “The Sandlot. We’re going to see if Seifer and his gang are there.”

“Who are they?”

“A bunch of bullies,” Olette shrugged, “But its fun to listen to them talk like they’re so cool. We do it everyday.”

Demyx shrugged, “Well, I don’t see why not.”

They all got up and went to the Sandlot, Demyx checking out the town while they were going. He still had no idea where exactly he was at. He’d probably need Roxas to walk him home.

Worthless?

Yup!

They stopped at the Sandlot and noticed Seifer and his gang sitting about trying to look cool….

Demyx smiled at the look of the group. Not so dangerous. In fact, the only one who could put up a fight would be the hunk of jock sitting on the side of Seifer, his brains on the other hand would never come in handy.

“This is them? They look pretty…primitive.”

Bingo! Demyx used another big word! He felt pretty good this morning.

Seifer, of course, heard his snide comment and came up to him, “Who you calling primitive, Lamer?”

“L-lamer? What the hell…”

“That’s right, you!”

“Okay?”

“Think you can bad talk me? Is that it? Hmm? Think I’m not smart enough?”

“Well yeah, basically.”

“FUU.”

The girl standing next to him barely acknowledged that he had said anything.

“I think you could teach this kid a lesson in intelligence.”

Demyx blinked, “Why, you can’t do it yourself?”

Seifer fell silent and glared, “Are you trying to pick a fight with me?”

“Yeah, you trying to pick a fight?” the large knucklehead stepped forward to harass Demyx.

Roxas stepped forward next to Demyx, “He isn’t trying to pick a fight-“

((Just keep reading XDDD))
Seifer scoffed, “What, do you need your little boyfriend here to help defend yourself?”

Demyx gave him a questioning look, “Now who said he was my boyfriend?”

Seifer laughed, “It’s easy to see that you two like each other too much.”

Demyx shrugged, “Whatever, I’ve only been here for a day and if you think I would just instantly fall for someone you’re sadly mistaken. Then again, you’re just some leader in a gang, so I shouldn’t expect much thought pattern from you.”

Seifer glared and grabbed Demyx’ collar, “I think you just volunteered to be shoved in the city dump.”

“This is a town, though.”

“….RAI! DUMP HIM!”

Rai came over and tried to grab Demyx who slipped past the guy, “Hey, let’s not fight!”

Seifer snorted, “Oh sure, now you want to duck out of the fight, it’s a bit late for that.”

Roxas ran over and slugged Rai in the chin, “Back off! He doesn’t want to fight!”

And soon a nice fight broke loose.

When it ended Demyx had a bloody lip, Roxas a black eye, and a few of the others had bruises and the sort.

“That was fun!” Hayner fist pumped while everyone else glared and started to walk off of the scene of the crime, obviously not wanting to stick around.

“Does your eye hurt?” Demyx asked Roxas who was covering it protectively.

“Yeah…what about your lip?”

“It kind of stings.”

Pence frowned, “My mom is going to kill me once she sees that we got in another fight.”

Demyx rolled it over in his head, “Well…we could try and cover it up…”

Olette rubbed her bruises, “How?”

“I don’t know…”

Roxas scratched his head, “Makeup?”

Hayner shook his head, “That’d only work for so long until she comes up and does that ‘let me wash your face, dearie!’ and then you’re doomed.”

Everyone sighed before Demyx began to tug on his hair, “Well, it can’t be THAT bad.”

Roxas nodded, “Oh believe me…it’s bad.”

Hayner nodded too, “In this town the moms are a bunch of Nazis.”

Demyx blinked, “Oh.”

Olette gave him a confused look, “Haven’t you ever gotten hurt and your mom badgered you about it for a month?”

Demyx shook his head, “I don’t remember what my mom was like.”

Shouldn’t have said that. Oh well.

“Oh…what happened?”

“Um…we were separated when I was little.”

Yeah, just lie.

“Oh, that’s sad. So do you live with your dad?”

“No, I live in like…um…something else. It’s hard to explain.”

Roxas smiled, “It’s like a cult! But better!”

They all oohed and Demyx gave a nervous smile. He wasn’t used to everyone worshipping what he did like this.

It wasn’t long for the gang to break up as a few mothers had noticed their children beat up. In fact, the group diminished so that it was Roxas and Demyx.

“We should hide in case my mom comes after me.”

“Where should we hide?”

“Your place?”

“Okay. You’ll have to show me the way to my place, though…because I’m already lost.”

Roxas laughed and started off, obviously knowing where he needed to go.

They entered and Demyx sat down on the chair/sofa and yawned. Now he was getting tired. It seemed Marluxia wasn’t going to be back for a while.

“There isn’t much to do here.”

“That’s okay, do you have ice? My eye kills.”

“Yeah.”

Demyx stood up and got some ice, sticking it in a plastic bag before handing it to Roxas, a towel neatly wrapped around it.

“Thanks.”

He put it on his eye and silently sighed happily, “That feels good.”

They fell silent as Roxas glanced about the place, remembering it as being the same as last night.

“So, is Marluxia normally here during the day?”

“Well…kind of.”

“He just does what he wants?”

“Yeah, whenever he doesn’t have to watch me…that’s basically when he does what he wants.”

“Nice.”

Demyx stretched, “Not like he needs to take care of me or anything…”

“But he thinks he does, so he bothers you all the time?”

“Yeah, basically.”

Roxas nodded and pulled the ice pack off of his face, “Maybe you should get something for your lip before it swells or something?”

Demyx touched his lip, not really feeling the pain that much, “Oh, I guess you’re right.”

“I’m kind of surprised that you didn’t bleed all over!”

Demyx smiled and got up, wiping at the spot with a towel in the mirror. It wasn’t that bad at all.

“I have tough skin.”

Not really, he was such a baby, his skin was bound to be as vulnerable as Larxene’s or something. He never did any brutal activity. The only reason he wasn’t bleeding as much was because he wasn’t really ALIVE.

As Demyx sat back down Roxas looked at Demyx, “I’m surprised you didn’t freak out on Seifer today.”

“Hmm? Why?”

“Well, he said that we were a couple!”

“Oh, I don’t normally take offense to those types of things. I mean, what’s the point in getting worked up over nothing?”

“Oh…yeah, I guess you’re right.”

“Besides, I’d be more offended if he had said someone like Marluxia.”

Roxas thought it over, “Marluxia is a scary person. So you’re saying I’m almost worth it?”

Demyx shrugged, “I don’t know. I’m just saying I wouldn’t be offended.”

“But you would be if it was someone else?”

“Well, you’re really the only person here I actually kind of know. And you’re also nice to me.”

“Marluxia isn’t nice to you?”

“No, no one is.”

“Aww, that’s sad.”

Demyx shrugged again and played with his pockets wishing he had his phone. His eyes went over to Marluxia’s bag and he quickly went over, poking around to see where the Assassin had hid the thing.

Once he finally found it he sat back down and started to text Axel.

“Are you used to people being mean to you?” Roxas asked as he turned on the bed to look at Demyx, pack of ice over his eye.

“Yeah, they normally ignore me half the time. And then Xemnas just shoves me about onto other people as if I’m 12 or something. I think he has forgotten how old I am…”

“Wow, that must suck.”

“Yeah, but it isn’t everyday that I actually have to talk to everyone.”

Roxas perked up, “Oh, that sounds like a plus!”

Demyx’ eyes slid over Roxas. The blonde looked really comfortable. His eye seemed to sparkle with interest as he stared at Demyx.

Man, he was kind of cute.

Demyx smiled at him and played with his phone a bit.

‘Axel, how do you ask out a blonde?’

He sent him a text and waited a bit, looking back over at Roxas, “Sometimes everyone can be really nice to you…and other times they just…wake up on the wrong side of the bed.”

Roxas nodded, “Yeah, I know how that goes.”

“Not like all of them hate me…just a few.”

Not true, they all pretty much hated him.

“Well…I guess they all haven’t gotten to know you that well.”

His phone vibrated and he checked his texts.

‘M or F?’

He bit his lip, why the hell was Axel asking male or female? Did he suspect that Demyx might fall in the steps of Marluxia?

Great.

‘Why’s it matter?’

He sent it and yawned again, “Man…I woke up really early this morning.”

“When?”

“I think it was before 7 or something. I can’t remember anymore. But I got yelled at for the duration of the time until Marluxia was ready to leave.”

“Is he ever happy?”

“I guess not.”

The phone vibrated and he looked at it.

‘girls and guys have diff. interests, duh’

He rolled it over in his mind and finally sent back, ‘okay, its M’.

“So who are you talking to?”

“Axel, he’s one of the people in our group.”

“Oh, cool. At least he talks to you, right?”

“Yeah, he’s definitely not like Marluxia.”

“Is anyone else like Marluxia?”

“Well…not really. I’ve only spent a few days with a few of the people, anyway. I try not to get in everyone’s way.”

Once again, a lie.

He looked back at his phone and gave a puzzled look as it said, ‘I’m coming over.’

What? He was coming? But how did Axel know where he was at??

A knock on the door made Demyx look up, and watched as it opened showing the red haired fiend clad in his black cloak.

“Ooooh, alright I see why you asked, Demyx.”

Roxas gave a confused look, “Asked what??”

Axel came over and measured Roxas up, “Not half bad! So is he..”

Demyx covered his face, “Yes, he is.”

Roxas looked around, “Who are you? What are you talking about??”

Axel smiled, “I’m Axel. A-X-E-L. I’m part of Demyx’ little group thing.”

“Oh, so you’re with Marluxia and the others?”

“Yeah yeah. And your name is-“

“Roxas.”

“Nice to meet you, Roxas. I’ve been told to watch over you two while Marluxia is gone.”

Roxas gave a confused look, “Really? I thought you guys lived far away…how’d you get here so fast?”

Axel brushed his fingers through his hair, “It depends on how you travel, Roxas. I happen to like to rip holes in the space time continuum and appear here.”

Demyx was gapping at Axel, he was saying way too much.

But Roxas just giggled, “Yeah okay.”

Axel cracked his fingers, “Okay, Demyx, got any games around here we could play or something?”

Demyx shrugged, “Marluxia was the one who packed everything.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

Axel poked a bit through Marluxia’s stuff, “So what happened to your faces? You two making out too hard or something?”

Demyx glared, “We actually got in a fight with this gang-“

Roxas nodded, “Yeah, and we hid here so my mom won’t see.”

Axel smiled, “Aaaah, hiding from moms. Those were the good ol’ days.”

Axel pulled out some stuff and read over the labels before putting it back, “Man…Marluxia packs a lot of crap.”

Demyx shrugged, “I doubt you’re going to find anything fun in there.”

Axel laughed as he pulled out a bottle and sniffed the contents, “You never know what kind of dirty sexy things we could do with Marluxia’s stuff.”

Roxas frowned, “W-what?”

Axel gave Roxas a glorious grin, “You heard me.”

Demyx gave a nervous laugh, “You’re not serious.”

“I’m totally serious, getting kinky is what we’re all about, right?”

Demyx shook his head, “Um…not really-“

“Well then let’s pretend.”

Roxas was trying not to smile, “I can tell this is going to be interesting.”

Axel sat down on the bed and tasted some of the stuff before smiling, “You two should try this, it’s good.”

He dipped his finger in it and offered it to Roxas who looked at Demyx. Demyx gave a small shrug, he wasn’t sure what Axel was up to. He wasn’t the type to try and bang guys, right? Yeah. He was more into girls. He had a feeling that Axel was just trying to ruin things for him.

Roxas grabbed Axel’s hand and licked the stuff off, “It doesn’t taste that bad.”

It was then that they both were surprised when Axel took the finger that Roxas had just licked and stuck it in his own mouth, licking his finger seductively.

Demyx blinked. What was this guy doing?? Showing him how to be a horn dog on Roxas?? If this was how he was supposed to act Roxas would be bound to quit their relationship as friends instantly.

Axel put the stuff down and crawled across the bed making Roxas stand up.

“Ummm..well…I guess that was fun…yeah…”

Axel launched himself and tackled Roxas to the ground laughing, “Where do you think you’re going? We’re getting to the good part!”

Roxas shook his head, “I’m not sure I want to find out what the good part is!”

Axel wrestled around with Roxas, “You think I’m some freak, I love it.”

“I’m pretty sure you are one.”

“No no, I’m not. I just did that to see how you’d react. Did I already introduce myself?”

Axel pinned Roxas on his back and stared into Roxas’ blue eyes, ignoring the fact that the kid had a black eye.

“Um…yeah…yeah…you did….”

Their eyes stayed interlocked and Demyx looked around mostly uncomfortable. He wasn’t sure what was going on. In fact, he had a feeling that he DID know but he didn’t want to believe it.

“Roxas, has anyone ever told you how nice your eyes are?”

“Well…my mom…”

“And how cute your nose is?”

“Uh…”

“And how perfect your lips are?”

Roxas stayed silent. Demyx felt a knot in his throat form. Axel was such a backstabber.

And the redhead kissed Roxas softly on the lips before pulling back, his seductive look on, “You have very soft lips.”

Roxas still didn’t say anything and Axel finally moved off of him.

Demyx felt somewhat crushed. What was all of that about? Why’d Axel do that?

The redhead leaned over to Demyx, a smile on his face, “You should know I always get first dibs.”

Demyx opened his mouth to say something but Axel laughed, “You two want to do something really fun?”

Roxas stood up and wiped at his mouth a bit, “Um…it depends on if you’re doing that again…”

Axel grabbed Roxas around his waist, “Don’t be silly, I was showing Demyx how to reel in some a**.”

Demyx gapped. His jaw literally fell and his eyes popped open, “What??”

Axel nodded, “Hey, you asked me for some tips, I just showed you some.”

Demyx was completely stupefied. He wasn’t sure how to respond.

Roxas dusted himself off, “Um…so you taught him how to practically rape other guys?”

“Not just any guy, YOU.”

Roxas nodded, “Oookay….”

“Hey, he asked me.”

Roxas snorted, “Well…you’re not exactly a turn on, Axel.”

The redhead frowned, “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Exactly what it means. You’re kind of…repulsive when you just let your hormones go crazy.”

Axel crossed his arms, “Whatever, I’m not the one who wants to get in your pants anyway. It’s Demyx over there who does.”

Roxas looked at Demyx for an explanation.

“Axel…do you mind?”

“Mind what?”

Demyx shook his head, “Forget it.”

Axel shrugged, “Well…I really shouldn’t be here-“

“I thought you said that Marluxia sent you here?”

“Actually, I came here to bug Demyx, but considering he doesn’t want to take my advice on hitting on you, I might as well just leave.”

Demyx rolled his eyes and watched Axel leave the room.

How freaking embarrassing.

Roxas went over and looked out the door. The guy was completely gone.

“Wow…maybe he wasn’t lying about ripping holes in space?”

Demyx sighed, “Yeah…”

“Hey, don’t get put down by his actions! I mean, you said don’t get worked up over it, right?”

Demyx nodded, “Well yeah…”

“Even if you did like me I wouldn’t see a big deal out of it all. There’s no harm in liking someone.”

Demyx looked at Roxas and looked away, “Well…umm…I hope your eye feels better.”

Yeah, he failed at hitting on people. And Axel did it so easily. The b*****d.

Roxas blinked and laughed, “Oh yeah, my eye. I forgot all about it.”

Demyx smiled, “How could you forget??”

“Well…I don’t know…I just do!”

Demyx stood up and poked about the place, there had to be something to do around here. His phone vibrated and he looked at it. Axel.

‘He’s quite the catch, but I don’t think he’s interested in you.’

Demyx raised an eyebrow wondering what that was supposed to mean. Axel never made any sense.

“That stuff that he made me eat tasted kinda funny, I wonder what it was…”

Roxas went over to look at it and raised his eyebrow, “This IS Marluxia’s, right?”

Demyx turned somewhat confused, “Yes? Why?”

With a slight shudder the blonde handed it over, “It’s sex lotion! The tasty kind.”

Demyx looked it over.

And why was Marluxia carrying that around?

With a shiver down his spine he threw it back in the bag, “I don’t even want to know why he’s carrying that around with him.”

“Maybe he’s going to sleep with someone here?”

“Ew.”

“Or maybe he’s trying to score with you-“

“Roxas! Gross, I don’t want to think about that!”

“Sorry,” Roxas giggled and grabbed his ice pack, “Hey, we could always play hide and go seek in this place!”

Demyx blinked, “Here?”

The room was kind of small to play hide and go seek…

“Silly, the whole building, not just your room. I’m sure the owner wouldn’t mind.”

“As long as he doesn’t hear us or we don’t get caught, you mean?”

Roxas nodded, “Exactly.”

“Well…I don’t see why not.”

And off Roxas went, deciding he’d hide first. Demyx counted up to 30 before slowly walking about the creepy cramped place. The kid couldn’t have snuck into a room, they were all locked. So he’d have to be in the hallway, right?

After 5 minutes of looking Demyx already wanted to give up. A giggle above, though, made him look up. Roxas had found a way to cling to the ceiling.

“You’re insane.”

“This is fun!”

Roxas dropped down knocking himself into Demyx and they both toppled over onto the ground.

“Ouch, Roxas, your hip bones are sharp!”

“Are they? I never really noticed.”

Demyx rubbed his side, “Yeah…they’re not exactly comfortable.”

Roxas laughed again and stood up, pulling Demyx with him, “You get to hide this time!”

As Roxas turned to count, Demyx dashed off down the hall looking for a good place. There wasn’t much to hide in. As Roxas neared the end of his counting Demyx had to think quick. Without actually THINKING he leapt out the window and clung to the edge. H’o yeah, he was suave.

After a few minutes his arms began to hurt. This could turn out bad. Really bad.

With a few quick breaths he pulled himself up slightly to peer inside, Roxas’ back was to him. He laughed and hid again, making Roxas whip around slightly puzzled.

“Demyx! Where are you?”

Demyx looked below him to see if anyone had noticed that he was clinging to the outside of the window. Thankfully no one had, but this had just increased his fear of heights greatly. With a heave he pulled himself up again to see where Roxas was at. The kid was peering inside his room. He couldn’t help but laugh again.

Roxas whipped out of the room and looked around, “Whoa…where are you? Jeez…”

Demyx kept laughing, his grip starting to slip, “Roxas!”

Roxas ran over and almost screamed, “Holy crap! You’re going to kill yourself!”

The blonde grabbed onto Demyx’ arm and pulled him in.

“Are you joking? That was fun! Besides, I can’t die-“

Whoops.

Roxas’ eyes were enormous as he stared at Demyx, “You can’t be serious, anyone could have died from that trick right there! You must have guts to do something scary like that!”

Demyx shrugged trying to remember that he was ‘human’ to Roxas, “Nah, it’s all in a days work.”

Roxas blinked, “Uh huh.”

“Don’t get worked up about it!”

“I’m just scared! I mean, what if someone saw you?”

“I doubt anyone did.”

But Demyx was wrong. Marluxia had actually seen.

“What the hell did you think you were doing???”

“Whoa, where did you come from?”

“Outside! I just arrived after Axel showed up and told me that you two were doing something stupid.”

Demyx looked at Roxas and smiled, “Stupid? It wasn’t stupid, we were playing hide and go seek!”

Marluxia glared, “You were hanging out the window like you were trying to do suicide!”

“Nah, I was just hiding. Jeez, don’t get so upset! Everyone is so high strung these days.”

Marluxia sighed, “Well now that I’m BACK I guess I’ll be watching you two.”

Roxas frowned, “Great.”

Demyx rolled his eyes, “So…what did Xemnas say?”

“He said that we shouldn’t mess up, and if we do it’s our necks.”

Roxas gave an excited look, “Oh yeah! You guys are on a mission! I forgot about that!”

The Assassin’s eyes landed on Demyx, “Yes. We are.”

He obviously wasn’t in a good mood. They shuffled into their room and Marluxia lifted Roxas’ chin, “Why does he have a black eye? And your lip is swollen. What have you two been doing?”

Demyx laughed, “Well you see, there was this gang-“

Roxas nodded, “And they were muscled and ripped-“

“Well besides that one chick-“

“And the leader isn’t that strong-“

“But we decided to fight anyways!”

“And we wound up like this.”

Marluxia shook his head, “I can’t leave either of you alone, can I?”

Demyx shrugged, “I think we faired pretty well alone.”

Roxas nodded, “At least we’re not dead.”

Marluxia sighed and dug around a bit in his bag pulling out a few things, “I don’t care what you may think, but the both of you need to be more careful!”

He sat Demyx down and started to rub salve on his lip, a nice burning sensation soon came upon him.

“Ow!! OUCH! This burns!”

“It’s supposed to, it means its working.”

“I don’t like it!”

Marluxia kept at his work and finally nodded, “There, that should heal in a few days.”

His eyes landed on Roxas, “And now for you.”

The blonde scurried for a place to hide and tripped on Demyx’ dirty clothes, falling to the ground with a small thump.

“But I don’t want to be hurt!!!”

“Too bad, now sit still.”

And after some more torture, Roxas had his eye covered in goop, too.

“Man…”

Marluxia put the stuff away and looked over at both of them, “Have you two eaten lunch yet?”

They both shook their head, it really hadn’t come to mind. Demyx wasn’t hungry. Then again, he was dead.

“I’m not really hungry, funny…huh?” Roxas said trying to think when he last ate.

Marluxia and Demyx exchanged looks before Marluxia spoke, “Well that’s natural to not feel hungry at times.”

“Yeah, I guess so. I’m bored, we should do something fun! Do you have any board games here?”

Demyx shrugged, “I don’t think we do.”

Marluxia brushed his fingers through his hair, “You two could make your own game.”

Roxas sighed, “That’s why we were playing hide and go seek.”

Marluxia scoffed, “You two are old enough to grow out of that game.”

Demyx groaned, “Then what do you suggest, Marluxia? Truth or Dare? I bet that’s your favorite game. I mean, you could-“

Marluxia’s eyes flashed dangerously at Demyx’ general direction. He didn’t even finish his sentence, it’d be suicide if he did.

Roxas awed at the thought, “We should play that game! I haven’t played it in forever!”

“Why don’t you two go out and BUY a game? Hmm?”

Demyx wondered if they should, they’d have to pick a really fun game, “We don’t have money?”

Roxas giggled, “You always say munny weird.”

Marluxia rolled his eyes, “Here.”

Demyx was handed a bag filled with munny, “Jeez!”

“Don’t spend it all.”

The two got up and rushed off to buy the best game they could find. Of course, when Demyx thought of ‘best’ he actually thought of something that could give him nightmares for the rest of his life. Er, non-life.

The shop they entered looked pretty small, but was filled with all kinds of things that kids would love to play with, and even some adults! They headed towards the back passing by flying animals, twirling toys, and other gizmos that made cute noises. Demyx was attracted to it all, that he was almost upset when they reached the back and found it was dark and horror-esc looking.

“Whoa…these are haunted games and such that you can contact the dead! Cool!!”

“A Ouija board? What a weird name for a game…”

“Oh yeah, that’s the board where you can communicate with spirits and such. I’ve played with it once, but I mean…I don’t know if it ever worked.”

Demyx nodded and picked up a different thing, “Supposedly this says you can become possessed using this game…”

“What a joke. It’d be worth trying on Marluxia though.”

“Oh yeah! We should pick up a game that we could use against Marluxia!”

They both laughed and searched through the games, wondering which to pick. They picked one up that said, ‘those weak of heart beware, true demons may possess thee’ on the side.

“I think this might work.”

Demyx wasn’t sure if it would. Considering none of them had hearts. But if Roxas wanted to poke around with the thing, he’d let him. They went over and paid for it, and happily left. As they made it back to Demyx’ place, they found Marluxia cleaning up the place. It was so typical of him.

“We found a game!”

“Good for you.”

“You have to play with us.”

Marluxia groaned, “I hate playing silly little games.”

Roxas shook his head, “Oh no, this isn’t silly. You’ll like it!”

Marluxia turned, one hand on his hip, “Will I?”

“Yeah, it’s a possession game! We can talk to the dead through one of us!”

The Assassin’s face frowned slightly, “You’re playing with spirits?”

Demyx nodded, “Yeah! It’ll be fun.”

“You really shouldn’t mess with those types of things.”

“What are you, superstitious or something?”

Marluxia nodded, “Slightly, especially when it comes to pissing off the dead.”

Demyx laughed, “Oh please, we’re already-“

Marluxia hissed at him to shut up, he almost slipped up again. But Roxas hadn’t caught on, he was too busy giving Marluxia puppy dog eyes.

“You have to play with us! It’ll be fun!”

Marluxia sighed, “Fine fine, but just this once. Then I want you two to go somewhere else to play your demonic games.”

They sat down in a circle, the room mostly dark. Marluxia read through the instructions quickly before nodding, “Okay, we hold hands and one of us who’s willing to get possessed recites this little oath thing with your head bent over the orb thing.”

“Okay..so what does the orb do?”

“It will change colors when a spirit has possessed whoever…and the more violent the color, the angrier the spirit.”

Roxas smiled, “Cool!!”

Marluxia sighed, “Right. Who’s saying the oath?”

Demyx pointed at Marluxia, “Considering you believe in this stuff, I think you should.”

“But-“

“Don’t worry, we won’t let you stay demonic! I’m sure there’s a way to reverse it.”

“There is. Both of you have to chant this other oath thing.”

Roxas smiled, “Well then we will!”

Marluxia took a few seconds to think this over and sighed, “Alright alright…I’ll do it. But if you keep me in this veg state I’m so getting some demon to kick your a** for me.”

Demyx nodded, “Okay okay!”

And as they positioned themselves to get ready for some lovely possession, Axel burst in with a carefree smile, “What are you three doing?”

Marluxia sighed, “Playing with spirits.”

Axel shuddered slightly, “Are you serious? I thought you were-“

“I am. But they talked me into it.”

“Really? Eesh.”

Roxas gave Axel a confused look, “I thought you left-“

“Well I didn’t! I’m here to see what you’re up to, can’t let Marluxia have all the fun, now can I?”

Demyx shrugged, “You can join us.”

Axel scratched his chin, “You think I should?”

Marluxia nodded, “You can make sure they don’t leave me in a possessed state of mind!”

Axel nodded, “Yeah, you’re right, I should.”

He situated himself in-between Demyx and Roxas, and smiled at the blonde with a haughty look, his ego was practically enlarging.

Demyx wanted to just kill the red head. He was just ruining it for him. In fact, if he hadn’t known any better he could say that Axel actually wanted to be with Roxas!

Marluxia said the little speech and they fell silent, staring at each other curiously wondering if it was working. Axel squeezed Roxas’ hand and smiled at him, giving his seductive look as usual. The blonde just rolled his eyes back and looked over at Demyx.

It was then that they all jumped when Marluxia made the world’s most spine snapping noise ever.

The noise continued until Marluxia crushed Roxas and Demyx’ hand, both boys squirmed in agony. The orb had turned quite a violent color.

Axel just sat there mostly amused as everyone seemed to be in some type of pain.

“Ask me a question…”

Marluxia’s voice, definitely not his own, demanded one of them to speak. Axel, who was brave enough to talk, decided he’d ask the questions.

“Who is speaking with us?”

“Don’t you know who I am?”

“No, I’m sorry, I don’t.”

“That’s very rude of you…”

“I know, I can’t help it though.”

“Boys like you should be punished severely for disobeying the rules.”

“What rules have we disobeyed?”

“Fifty lashes, I say, for the boy who does not speak. Sixty for the boy who does not think. And seventy for the boy who addresses me so rudely. Lashes, dearie, lashes.”

Axel looked at the others who shrugged, not sure who Marluxia was. Or whoever was possessing Marluxia.

“Are you male or female?”

“There you are, rude again to me. Today’s my special day and you refuse to acknowledge that. Rude, very rude.”

“Special day?”

“Why, my wedding of course! Have you forgotten already? What has come of you? Can’t you see me in my dress, standing here hoping the groom will show? I’ve been here all day, waiting and waiting…”

“All day? At this very place?”

“But of course, I’ve never moved an inch.”

“How long have you been waiting?”

“Days and days, weeks upon weeks, a month…a year…I lost track of time.”

Roxas frowned, that was such a sad thing to hear, “And the groom hasn’t shown yet?”

“He’ll show, he said he would. He’ll show.”

The color of the orb began to change, a softer tone showed.

Demyx looked about and bit his lip, “So how’d you die?”

“I’m not dead! I’m not dead! I’m not DEAD!!!”

Marluxia’s screams were ungodly loud, and freaked everyone out. Axel looked at the sheet of paper, and nudged them all to start the chant.

After a while Marluxia calmed down and opened his eyes slightly annoyed, “What just happened?”

The others stayed silent, not exactly sure whether they could say it. Everyone broke their connection of hands, and Marluxia kept asking.

“You were some lady who was supposed to get married, but you ended up dying instead I think….except you screamed at me when I asked how you died…”

Yes, Demyx had finally decided to answer.

“Whoa…weird. That sounds like my great aunt,” Marluxia muttered, scratching at his neck.

Axel shrugged, “Hey…I thought it was quite the experience.”

Roxas glared, “Do you mind?”

“Mind what?”

“Let go of my hand!”

Axel kissed Roxas’ hand and the blonde jerked it away afterwards, slightly flustered at Axel’s reactions. Marluxia just stared somewhat confused before he smiled at Demyx, “Well isn’t that cute, I think Axel’s in love!”

Demyx scratched behind his ear, “Um…that’s cute?”

No, it wasn’t. It was a pain to see Axel trying to get all over Roxas. He should have never mentioned anything to Axel. The b*****d, trying to ruin Demyx’ non-life.

It wasn’t very long when Roxas had to leave and Axel decided to follow the kid in pursuit to see where he lived. As if he was ‘gathering’ information for the Organization to stalk him better or something. Demyx couldn’t believe it.

Marluxia looked at Demyx who looked quite upset, “What’s wrong with you? Didn’t you have fun today?”

“Not really.”

“Tell me about it.”

Demyx rolled it over in his head. Was it really worth telling Marluxia what he thought? The guy didn’t like him THAT much…then again…who else would listen to him?

“I guess…that…well…um.”

“Go on, I won’t judge you!”

“Okay okay, just let me think…”

Demyx rubbed his head and sighed, “I asked Axel a question today about Roxas…”

“So that’s why he was here before…”

“Yes, because…I don’t know.”

“What was the question?”

“It’s too embarrassing-“

“Oh please-“

“You would make fun of me!”

“No I won’t. Tell me.”

Demyx sighed, “Okay, I asked him how to ask out Roxas.”

Marluxia raised his eyebrows, “Oh?”

“Well, he just…showed up and whored all over him and left after he kissed Roxas. Then you showed up, and he came back and…well you saw how he acted.”

“Oooh, so you’re kind of…upset because Axel keeps pursuing Roxas when you were the one who saw him first?”

“Um…yeah.”

Marluxia cooed and pet Demyx’ hair, “You poor thing, love is such a terrible thing to go through. Then again, we can’t even feel love.”

“I know…”

“Besides, you know Axel is going to get him to fall in love with him…”

“W-why’s that?”

“Because Axel is everything anyone could want, and you’re just…”

“…me?”

“Yeah.”

“Thanks…”

Demyx sighed and rubbed his head, not sure how to take that. He knew now that he didn’t have a chance in the world to be with Roxas. Why’d he even try in the start? Well….he never actually DID try…

“That’s alright, Demyx, I like you.”

Demyx gave Marluxia a confused look, “Yeah right…no one likes me.”

“I’ve changed my mind about you. You’re such a nice kid, I shouldn’t hold it against you.”

“Oh…well…thanks.”

Marluxia sat down and looked Demyx in the eye, “Don’t put yourself down.”

Demyx stared back at Marluxia, he wasn’t sure how to respond, “Um…I can’t help it.”

“Well, if anything bothers you I’m here to help.”

“O-okay..” he had a sinking feeling coming about him. Something was up. Something that he knew could turn out bad.

Marluxia patted his back, “Maybe you should get some rest? You’ve had a long day.”

“Today went by way too fast…”

“Well, you have all of tomorrow to do what you want.”

Death Always Wins

Awwww.

That was such a good and cute chapter.

Quite a few of those moments were kinda ... hot.

Not saying what. redface

That went by way to fast to read even though it was the longest chapter yet.

Demyx awoke in a daze. He had distinctly remembered passing out after a whole angst fest of wanting to be with Roxas. Did he really admit to Marluxia that he liked the kid?

Oh man, he didn’t want that to get out.

His eyes blinked a few times before staring about at the room not exactly sure where he was at. Oh yeah, the hotel room. Right?

It smelled of roses, and he tried to roll over out of bed. Didn’t work. He ended up bumping into Marluxia instead, and jumped thinking he was sleeping with a corpse. Okay, he WAS sleeping with a corpse, but he had thought it was something else besides Marluxia.

The Assassin continued to sleep onward not noticing Demyx had awoken.

The Melodious Nocturne took a deep breath trying to slow his adrenaline rush and then remembered he didn’t have a heart, so getting overly excited was practically impossible.

How dumb was that.

He grumbled and got up to take a shower.

When he came out Marluxia was still sleeping in the same position. Slowly he crept up and leaned down to stare at Marluxia’s face. The guy looked peaceful. That was a first. He normally had that air of ‘I’m better than you’ on his face. And he was lower ranked than Demyx!

Marluxia continued his silent slumber and Demyx began to feel a bit..well…curious. What was Marluxia like as a kisser?

Whoa whoa, no no…he never thought like that before. No, he wasn’t going to jump on the guy. Besides, Marluxia was the whore, right? Axel even said so himself. Then again, Axel was pretty much a whore himself going after Roxas and all. The kid was bound to get AIDS or something.

Ugh.

He wanted to talk to Roxas badly now. Why did Axel always have to ruin things for him?

Without thinking he sat down next to Marluxia and leaned up against the sleeping body, trying to think of a way he could win Roxas over. He wasn’t good looking, he had a bad personality, he didn’t dress nice, and he wasn’t cool. Alright…and how would he win Roxas with all of those negatives??

He pondered what he had that was better than Axel. At least he was nicer than the redhead. And more caring. Also loving! Demyx definitely was the kinder of the two.

Ha, if Roxas fell for his nice attitude then he wouldn’t have much problem!

But was Roxas really into kindness? Maybe he liked Axel’s dangerous and mysterious attitude of being a total a** at times and then being a seductive sweetheart the next?

Demyx was doomed to fail.

He sighed, maybe Marluxia was right…no one would ever like him….

Speaking of the Assassin, he began to move and wake up underneath Demyx. He didn’t move, though, since he was deep in thought over Roxas.

“Demyx?”

Demyx jumped out of his thoughts and stared at Marluxia, “Oh, sorry!”

He got up to move but Marluxia grumbled, “Stay there, you’re warm. What are you doing up so early?”

Demyx shrugged as he got comfortable again, “I always get up early, you know that.”

“You’re killing me.”

“As in squishing you?”

“No, because you’re awake and I’m not.”

Demyx smiled and shrugged, “I can wait.”

Marluxia made a few grumbling noises before he sat up, glaring about at the room. He yawned and saw the time before mumbling a few things and turning his tired stare at Demyx.

“I’m going to have to keep you up all night to get you to sleep in late.”

“Why?”

“Because this is just not working. Who knows if you’ll try to jump out the window and what not.”

“Oh come on…I was only hanging out the window that one time…and why would I run off?”

“To go see your sweetheart.”

“Please…Axel’s already got him bagged. I’m just going to be friends with the guy. If Axel’s ego permits it.”

“You’re just going to give up like that?”

“What do I have that outbeats Axel?”

Marluxia thought it over, “You’re not anorexic.”

“So what?”

“Maybe Roxas hates skeletons?”

“I wish…”

“Okay okay…you’re um…nicer than Axel.”

“What if Roxas likes the dangerous type?”

“Axel isn’t dangerous, he’s such a little girl when it comes to that.”

Demyx smiled, “Really?”

He had never heard anyone talk bad about Axel. He was so used to everyone just accepting the fiery red head as he was. Here Marluxia was, though, putting the guy down. He kind of liked it.

“Well yeah, when I had to go with him on a mission he was such a baby. I mean, you’d think he’d like setting people on fire or something, but he doesn’t. He’s touchy feely when it comes to that stuff.”

“You’d know-“

Demyx stopped himself. He shouldn’t say anything like that. Who knows how Marluxia would react if he did. But it was too late, Marluxia had already caught on to what he was saying.

“Hey! Let’s not be hasty in thinking of such things, alright?”

Demyx shrugged, “I can’t help it. Axel said-“

“What’d he say about me??”

Marluxia was now on the defensive, he was definitely wide awake now that Demyx had caught his attention.

“Well, he told me you were a slut.”

“Oh really…”

“And he told me that I should watch out…because…he said that you are normally mean to people, but sometimes you slip and do things that make it seem like you like them..or something.”

“Anything else?”

“Uh…well…not that I remember.”

Though he could make up some really good stories that’d get Axel in trouble.

“Are you sure?”

“Well, he said something about you wanted to sleep with me just like the way you did with everyone else-“

“WHAT?”

“Hey hey, don’t shoot the messenger!”

Marluxia stood up, anger was welling up inside him, “I haven’t slept with anyone!”

“Really?”

Marluxia glared at Demyx, “What, do you think it’s true that I sleep around?”

“W-well…I’ve heard things-“

“Were they all from Axel?”

“Well no-“

“Who else has been talking about me?”

Demyx paused. Oh God he could get everyone in trouble and it almost felt good. Until they found out he was ratting on them.

“Saix commented about you when we went on a mission…and Luxord and Xigbar always made some snide remarks whenever you walk by…”

“Like what? What did they say?”

“Jeez, you’re acting really upset about all of this-“

“Demyx, just tell me!”

“Okay…Saix just said that you get distracted with the thought of lust…and Xigbar and Luxord always talk about how you try to hit on them all the time and who you’ve slept with recently.”

Marluxia was pacing slightly, almost in agony, “Does Xemnas hear these things??”

“I don’t know I never talk to the guy…”

Marluxia stopped and stared at Demyx before grabbing a few things, “I’m getting ready, I’ll be out soon.”

Demyx watched the door shut and he sat there for a while. A vibration from his pocket made him pull out his phone and he saw that Axel had sent him a text.

‘How’s 11?’

Demyx didn’t hear anything but the shower turn on and he sighed, ‘Slightly pissed.’

Okay, more like raving insane, but whatever it wasn’t like Axel needed details.

His phone vibrated again and he stared at it.

‘Y? U wake him Erly?’

And yes, Axel spelled early wrong. Demyx stared at the word for a few seconds before shaking his head and sending another message back.

‘No, I informed him of what you said about him.’

‘WAT?’

‘Yes, that you and the others talk about him behind his back.’

‘R u retarded?’

‘I’m not the one typing like a retard…’

‘11’s gonna kill us!’

‘Big deal.’

‘That’s rite ur only intrsted in Roxas’

Demyx glared at his phone wishing that he could beat the hell out of Axel at the moment. He finally called Axel instead of texting him, much faster.

“That’s right, you would call me-“

“Axel, why are you such a jerk?”

“Is that a rhetorical question?”

“What’d you do with Roxas last night…”

“Nothing, I just followed him home and we talked.”

“Whatever, you were practically on his leg like a dog when you were here-“

“Hey!! I was not! I don’t swing that way-“

“Then why are you always on him??”

“I’m showing you good moves-“

“You’re making a fool of yourself. Even Marluxia questioned your actions-“

“That whore can shove it-“

“He knows how you talk about him-“

“Yeah, thanks for informing me, I’m going to hijack my a** out of here before he finds me-“

“He’s taking a shower.”

“Really?”

“Yes? What, do you want to come over and interrupt him?”

There was silence, as if the redhead was seriously thinking about it. Demyx thought that a little weird.

“Axel?”

There was still more silence. A sudden crackling screeching noise came from the phone and Demyx held it away from his ear. It finally went silent and Demyx noticed the call had been ended.

“What the-“

It was then that he heard noises from the bathroom, very subtle but loud enough he could make out that someone was moving in there.

He got closer to the door to hear what was going on and heard a very pissy Marluxia yell at Axel.

It was then that a scythe blade went right through the door and barely missed his head. Demyx screamed like a little girl and dove under the bed. Suddenly the redhead and the pink-haired duo came out. Axel was jumping over the bed for safety as the Assassin was standing there, still in his night clothes and looking really infuriated.

“Calm down, Marluxia, I’m just trying to clear things up!”

Marluxia kept his glare on Axel, “Clear what up?”

Axel smiled nervously, “My name of course. I mean, I hear I’m getting blame for calling you a whore-“

Demyx blinked, “Well you did-“

Axel hissed at him, “Anyway, truth be told…I wasn’t the one who started this whole thing-“

Marluxia lowered his scythe slightly, “And I care why?”

“Because you wouldn’t want to hurt me, would you-“

A vine whipped out from the wall and smacked Axel hard across his arm. The redhead jumped and made a slight eeping noise before giving another nervous laugh. Demyx slowly pulled himself out from under the bed to see this. Marluxia whipping Axel’s a**…that was pure entertainment.

“Okay okay! I heard it through the grapevine-“

“That’s nice to know, I’m glad you’re repeating it-“

“Now hear me out-“

“You’re just buying time and I know it-“

“Noooo, me? Come on, Marluxia, give me some credit-“

Marluxia came forward, the scythe licked the air as it whizzed in front of Axel’s face making him fall upon his butt. The Assassin gracefully leapt over the bed and landed near Axel, the blade now touching Axel’s chest.

“You’re right, I should pay you back for talking about me-“

Axel whimpered and then did something he never thought he’d do. As Demyx was watching the guy shielded himself and began to spurt out a life story that Demyx didn’t even know existed!

“He freaking violated me, Demyx! Look at him he’s just a man whore! You’re going to be lucky if he doesn’t get to you, too!!”

Marluxia laughed as he bent slightly making Axel curl up into a smaller ball, “Is that it? You make it sound like I’m such a horrible person.”

Axel looked over at Demyx, he was begging for some help. But Demyx just sat there watching.

“What’d he do to you?” Demyx asked, not thinking about how Axel and his friendship was bound to come to an end quickly because of his lack of helping.

“What do you THINK?” Axel growled and then cried out in pain as the top of the scythe stabbed into his chest slightly.

“Oh please, Demyx, Axel was practically asking for it. And that was only one time, it wasn’t a gazillion with everyone I saw.”

“So…you did?”

“Yes, but it was with Axel! You saw how he acts around Roxas, he begs for the attention and when he gets it he backs away like a little girl.”

Axel glared, “I was not like that toward you-“

Marluxia’s eyes landed on Axel, they were deadly cold, “You DID act like that toward me. You got what you wanted out of it all-“

“Did not!”

Marluxia grabbed Axel by his collar, the scythe disappearing majestically, “What…are you jealous because Demyx is with me now? Are you afraid that I’m going to get to him?”

Demyx coughed, “Whoa whoa…wait…would someone explain thoroughly what’s happening?”

Marluxia sighed, “Axel here went on a mission with me once because Xemnas wanted us to scope out one of the worlds. Axel, being his usual self, flirted like a whore and begged me to have sex with him practically every night we stayed together. Finally I just did it, but afterwards when it got out to everyone he started making s**t up so the blame would fall on me.”

“What’s that got to do with me?”

“He probably still wants some so when he sees you with me he sees a threat to what he wants. He thinks I’ll fall for you or something-“

“Then why is he going after Roxas??”

Axel growled, “I’m not going after anyone!”

Marluxia laughed, “It’s because he thinks I’ll get jealous! Isn’t that right, Axel? You’re easy to read.”

Axel sat there on the ground silent. He didn’t have any way to defend himself.

“See? He can’t even deny it. Demyx, he doesn’t actually like Roxas-“

Axel stood up and shoved Marluxia, “I do, too!”

Demyx and Marluxia stared at Axel as the redhead thought that over, “No no…I meant-“

Marluxia smiled, “Oh do you?”

“No I didn’t mean it like that! You made me say it! I-I-“

Demyx watched as Axel opened his mouth and closed it a few times trying to talk, but couldn’t find words. So…Axel did like Roxas. Man, he was screwed. There was no way Roxas would pick him over Axel.

“Does Roxas like you, though?” Demyx asked curious.

Axel glared, “Of course he does!”

Marluxia laughed, “This is cute, its a whole love triangle going on.”

Demyx and Axel both glared at him before glaring back at each other, obviously they were now in a competing mode.

“Are you sure he likes you? Every time you speak to him he tries to ignore your advancements-“

“That’s in front of you, idiot. When we’re alone he doesn’t.”

Demyx frowned, “And what do you two do when you’re alone?”

Axel gapped and shook his head, “Whoa whoa! Hey, don’t take me as one of THOSE kinds of guys! I’m not just jumping in his pants as of yet-“

“I didn’t say that!”

“Well you were intending it!”

Marluxia rolled his eyes, “Alright. So you both like the same guy, right? Then it comes down to a competition of who can win his heart the fastest. Demyx, do you want to win Roxas’ heart?”

“Well….yes…”

“And what about you Axel?”

“If he had a heart…yeah!”

Marluxia smiled, “Alright. Then it’ll all come down to this. You each get the same amount of time to spend with the kid, and you can do whatever you want. By the end of two weeks make him decide.”

Axel scratched the side of his cheek and thought it over, “And…whoever wins gets the kid.”

“Exactly. And the loser can’t interfere.”

Demyx frowned, he knew he was going to lose this no matter what, “We get two weeks?”

“Yep. You both can pick which days you can be with him. And it has to be fair, Axel, don’t cheat Demyx with his chances.”

Axel smiled, “Now why would I do that? I don’t need extra days to prove to Roxas that I’m the better of us two.”

Demyx glared but sighed, “Well whatever.”

Marluxia went over to the bathroom door, “Who’s picking today?”

Axel looked down at Demyx, “I’ll let our Nocturne have today. You’re going to need it.”

Demyx glared but stood up, “Fine, I’ll go today.”

Marluxia waved, “Then go find him. And Axel, don’t get in the way.”

Axel laughed, “Why would I do that?”

But Marluxia vanished in the bathroom to finally get ready for the day, and Axel had decided to leave, too. Demyx left the room and walked out of the door utterly disappointed in himself. He loathed these types of competitions because he knew he would fail at it. He always did. Not saying that he had ever competed with Axel for someone, but whenever they do compete it always turned up as Axel as the victor.

As he went about the streets he soon found Roxas eating ice cream for breakfast. He waved at the kid and went over.

“Hey, Roxas!”

“Oh hey, Demyx, glad to see you!”

“Really? That’s a first for me.”

Roxas giggled, “You’re such a downer on yourself.”

“I can’t help it.”

“Well, maybe I can help you?”

Demyx blinked, “How?”

Roxas grabbed onto Demyx’ arm as he shoved his ice cream into his mouth and began to run. Demyx followed like a lamb unsure of what was going to happen next. They soon arrived in the forest and stopped to catch their breath.

“Man, Demyx, you’re a fast runner.”

“I am?”

“Well, you’re hardly losing a breath over it!”

Demyx thought about it, yeah it was kind of true. He was used to running from things, though. It was part of his nature. Not like he couldn’t fight, he was in fact one of the stronger members, he just had a tendency to shy away from that spotlight. Besides, he’d be challenged daily if he went around with that attitude.

“I’m just used to it.”

“You’re used to running a lot?”

“Uh…yeah.”

“Cool! You must be one of those physically fit people. Do you go to a gym, too?”

“What? No. Hah, me physically fit? What you see is what you get.”

Roxas giggled, “I’m sure you’re muscled under all that clothing exterior.”

Demyx blushed slightly, what the hell was Roxas getting at, “What, are you wanting to find out?”

Was he even muscled? He didn’t really know. He did have broad shoulders, that was the extent of his body structure. Other then that he was just lean. Right?

“I’m not trying to rip your clothes off of you or anything,” Roxas giggled as he finished his ice cream and threw the stick on the ground.

Silly little litter bug.

He shrugged, “I guess I’m just curious. Axel last night was trying to show off, it kind of made me laugh.”

Demyx frowned, “He showed you how he looks practically naked?”

“Yeah! He’s really skinny. And he’s got abs, but man…his chest plate looks so off.”

“Because it’s big and then the rest of him looks skinny?”

“Yeah, it’s like a skeleton. Those things are fascinating, but not when they’re alive.”

Demyx laughed, “So you didn’t appreciate Axel’s ‘gorgeous’ body?”

“Not really. Considering I told him to keep his clothes on. I don’t even see why he wastes his time around me when I already told him I didn’t like him.”

“You actually said that??”

“Yeah?”

“Well, he said that you liked him and he likes you…”

“He did? What a weirdo. He’s kind of old. Maybe he’s a….”

“***** both laughed and Roxas started to climb one of the trees, hanging from the branch like a sloth, “I suppose he just wants some love or something, but he needs to find someone who wants him. Like Marluxia, perhaps.”

Demyx snorted, “We were just talking about that.”

“Really? Did Marluxia like the idea?”

“Well, it was more like…Axel thought Marluxia liked me…so in spite of it all he tried to hit on you so that Marluxia would get jealous and try and go for him…but it didn’t really work out that way, because Marluxia doesn’t like me like that.”

“And Marluxia must not like Axel that way either.”

“From what I witnessed, no.”

They giggled again and Demyx had taken a seat in the tree, too, watching as Roxas started to rip leaves off of the surrounding trees.

“Do you like me, Demyx?”

Demyx felt himself get embarrassed again as Roxas had asked the question. What should he say? What did he mean by like? Why was that word so broad? Why couldn’t the kid give him something more straightforward??

As Demyx almost had an anxiety attack just thinking of the possible answers, Roxas looked at him and smiled, “I mean…you know…the mushy way.”

Mushy.

Yes, Roxas had used the word, which made Demyx smile, though he was still embarrassed.

“Uh...well…yeah…I do.”

Roxas giggled, “Really? I always think that I’m too childish to be liked that way.”

“No way! You’re more mature than I could ever be.”

Roxas laughed, “You think so?”

“Don’t be such a downer on yourself.”

“Hey, that’s my line!”

“I know.”

They both laughed again and they stared at each other, Demyx’ body stiffened slightly wondering if this was where they got to kiss. The movies always picked this part, right?

Roxas leaned forward to give him a kiss, they both were ready for it.

The branch suddenly started to crack, and they both went crashing down onto the ground over each other. Leaves and dust came up from the ground and they laid there utterly stupefied at what had just happened.

Roxas groaned, “That…hurt.”

Demyx, still wanting that kiss, leaned over to the kid, “Would a kiss make it feel better?”

Roxas smiled, and grabbed onto Demyx. They both kissed innocently, considering it was their first. When they broke apart Demyx smiled, “That was nice.”

Roxas nodded, “I didn’t think kissing was that fun.”

“What’d you think it’d be like?”

“Slobbery, like a dog.”

Demyx brushed off some of the dust on him and moved a few pieces of twig from his shirt, “I suppose if you were kissing Axel it’d be like that.”

“Do you know if he kisses like that?”

“No, but I could only imagine. I guess I could always ask Marluxia…”

“Ewww, they made out?”

Demyx shrugged, “I’ve heard they’ve done worse than that to each other!”

Roxas gasped like a little kid, “You mean they’ve…done…it?”

Demyx nodded.

They both shuddered at the thought and made a few lewd remarks before standing up, Roxas giggling at the thought of it.

“I wonder if they’re doing anything right now?”

“I’m pretty sure Axel left-“

“But whenever he leaves he always reappears! He’s so weird like that.”

“Yeah…you’re right. Do you think they’d actually-“

“I bet they would! Or at least Axel would try since he’s getting nowhere with me.”

Demyx started to walk farther through the forest and stopped at the gates of a mansion, staring at it with curious eyes, “Roxas….if someone told you that you didn’t have a heart…what would you say?”

Roxas blinked as the subject had turned into something more depressing and he picked up a few rocks, tossing them up in the air trying to think it over.

“I’m not sure…it isn’t possible to live without a heart.”

“I know…but…somehow it is.”

Roxas gave him a curious look as he chucked a few of the rocks through the bars, “Why? Is that part of your cult thing?”

“Yeah.”

“That’s weird, kind of depressing if you think about it.”

“Roxas, what would you say if I told you that you’re the one?”

“….The one of what?”

“The last member we need.”

“In your cult thing?”

“Yeah.”

“I don’t know. Does that mean I get to hang out with you?”

“Yeah, basically. Unless we go on separate missions, but those don’t take that long.”

“I think it’d be pretty cool! I mean…it isn’t like anyone here would ever miss me…”

Demyx gave a sad look and stared at Roxas as the kid seemed ecstatic at the thought of being part of the Organization, “I think your mom would miss you.”

“No she wouldn’t, no one here cares that much.”

“But you said the moms here are Nazis…”

“Well yeah, but it doesn’t mean they love us.”

“That’s weird. Do you even feel love?”

Roxas stopped as he had chucked his last rock and looked over at Demyx somewhat confused. With some evaluation of himself he scratched his head and grunted.

“You know…I don’t think I do, which is weird.”

“How is it weird?”

“Because I know what love is…but why can’t I feel it?”

Demyx let himself slide to the ground, “Because you’re not really alive.”

Roxas blinked, “What?”

“Nothing, I was just…mumbling something to myself.”

“Oh…okay.”

Roxas sat down next to Demyx, “Something on your mind that is putting you in such a bad mood?”

“Not really. I just…don’t want to go home for a while is all.”

“When do you have to go back?”

“I don’t know…Marluxia is going to tell me. I suppose we’re going to be here for another two weeks or something.”

“Oh….that’s really soon.”

“Yeah, but we still have time to hang out!”

And hopefully Roxas would tell him he loved him and Axel would just have to go shove his business somewhere else. Like where Marluxia was at.

“So have you figured out the XIIIth member yet?”

“Yeah?”

“That’s cool. Do I know them?”

“I hope so.”

“…Wait…you don’t mean it’s me…do you?”

“I do.”

Roxas’ face fell, “B-but I belong here! How could I be as awesome as you guys?”

Demyx shrugged, “I didn’t choose who was supposed to get taken and who wasn’t. Hell, I don’t even know how I got picked.”

“Well then what made me the right candidate?”

“Your name I suppose.”

“My name?”

“Well, it has an X in it. That’s one of the major hints. Besides, there were other things you told me that kind of linked it to the possibility that you’re our last member.”

Roxas thought it over and smiled, “So…we can hang out forever?”

“Yeah!”

“That’s cool.”

Roxas frowned, though, “Isn’t Axel going to be around, too?”

“Well yeah, but he’ll get over his lust fest with you.”

Roxas shrugged, “I don’t really care.”

Demyx stood up and pulled Roxas up with him, “So what should we do today?”

Roxas smiled, “I think we should play pranks on old people! It’ll be funny!”

“Isn’t that kind of cruel?”

“I don’t know, I like it.”

“Alright…just as long as it isn’t too mean.”

They went into the town and soon found an old lady at one of the shops with a cat. Roxas grabbed it as she had turned around and threw it up into the air. Demyx was sure the thing was going to freak out and eat them alive, but it landed on the roof of the little shop and purred as it perched there. The old lady looked around and started to ask about her cat, but Roxas just shrugged and said he couldn’t find it.

They started to walk away when Demyx blinked, “What was the point in that?”

“She’ll never find the thing! She’s so old. What an idiot.”

Demyx frowned, “But what if the cat can’t get down?”

“Oh he will..he always does.”

Boy did Roxas have a mean streak about him. Though he couldn’t always be like that, right? Demyx had a feeling the kid was just doing it out of boredom.

“You know what would be funny? If we bought something really dirty and left it for Marluxia in Axel’s name.”

“That’d be hilarious! But what would we give Marluxia?”

It would have to be something that the guy didn’t already have, and by the way he was acting recently…it seemed he already had everything…

“Sexy lingerie?”

“Um…ew, I’d hate to even go into a store that sells that kind of stuff.”

Roxas giggled, “Well…we could just give him flowers.”

“He loves flowers!”

Because it was his element. Not like Marluxia wouldn’t just make his own, but getting a gift of lovely scented things of prettiness would definitely put the man in good humor.

Demyx had learned that a few months ago when he picked flowers from the jungle and gave them to the man wondering if he’d flip out or not since he just butchered a plant just to get the things. Thankfully Marluxia had taken them in happily as if Demyx was an actual sweetheart. In fact, he was treated beautifully that week by the guy.

Flowers were a definite yes.

“It’ll be great. All we need to do is make Axel hand deliver them to the guy!”

“Why? Wouldn’t that ruin it?”

“No, because Axel will hand them over and Marluxia will be so happy that Axel won’t be able to explain himself!”

“Makes sense.”

They stopped by a flower shop and picked up some exotic looking flowers that came from some world that Demyx didn’t even know existed. He followed Roxas to the apartments and paused, pulling out his phone.

“I’ll tell Axel to come to our room and he’ll probably pick these up and give them to Marluxia.”

“You think so? That’s nice of him.”

Demyx giggled as he sent the text and they rushed upstairs quickly, dropping the flowers in front of the door with care. They both shoved each other into a room and peeked out from the door crack to see if Axel would actually fall for it.

The guy appeared out of nowhere and Roxas opened his mouth to shout, but Demyx covered it quickly with his gloved hand. Axel walked over to the door and stared down at the flowers curiously before picking them up seeing they were labeled for Marluxia. He opened the door and swept in.

They crawled out from their spot and put their ears to the door to hear what was going on inside.

Axel saw Marluxia reading and he smiled at the Assassin, “Flowers for you.”

Marluxia let his eyes trail from his spot in the book and he gave a confused look at the flowers, setting the book down to get a better look. He pulled out the label and noticed that it said his name, but it didn’t say from who.

“Did you-“

“Of course!”

Roxas and Demyx both gapped, so Axel was just going to take it as his own! What a sneak.

“Why?”

“Because your rant today turned me on, that’s why.”

Demyx frowned, that was sooo wrong in so many ways.

“I’m sure it did.”

“Oh come on, Marluxia….I have to give you credit. When you challenge me and point out my faults it makes my body want to be all over yours.”

“Do you want something?”

“I want you.”

“I thought you were after Roxas.”

“Hell I lied just to piss off Demyx! Sleep with me, Marluxia.”

“Hmm, this is like déjà vu.”

“Oh come on…we’ve done it before-“

“And I remember hearing about it from everyone else. Mind telling me why someone like you would want to be with…oh what was it… ‘that no good dirty slutty whore Marluxia’?”

Axel paused and tried to redeem himself, “Awww…come on…I even brought you flowers!”

“You can shove your flowers up your a** for all I care-“

“I don’t think they’d like it there.”

“Neither do I.”

Roxas snorted and Demyx bit his lip that was soooo wrong.

“It wasn’t me who let it slip! I don’t know how everyone found out!”

“Oh really?”

“What was I supposed to do? If Xemnas came up to me and started questioning my behavior-“

“You’d backstab me and make it look like it was my entire fault. That’s adorable.”

Axel fell silent and he grabbed Marluxia’s hand, “Now come on…so I messed up once-“

“Several times.”

“Right. Can’t you give me a second chance?”

Marluxia paused and let it roll over in his mind. Should he let this no good whore get the better of him a second time?

Of course not.

“No, Axel. You’re going to have to find someone else to love you.”

“But why??”

“Because I have some dignity left to me, alright? And I’m not going to waste it on you.”

“What, you going to waste it on Saix or something?”

Marluxia laughed, “No. You just need to grow up, Axel.”

Axel glared, “I guess everyone was right when they called you a b***h-“

Marluxia’s eyes flashed up at him, a cold demeanor present on his face, “Don’t ever talk about me like that ever again or you’ll surely pay.”

“Whatever, Marluxia, you can’t kill me.”

Marluxia stood up and grabbed Axel’s collar, his eyes staring hard into his. They were completely soulless, and Axel almost feared the look he was getting. It was so unusual from someone like Marluxia.

“I may be lower ranked than you but I am stronger than you think. That’s why Xemnas regards me as a better intellect than you.”

“Is it truly because you’re strong or is it because you’re sleeping with him?”

Marluxia, out or rage, hit Axel and watched the guy fall to the ground with the force, “If Xemnas hears about this he’ll have you murdered on the spot.”

Axel just laughed as he wiped at his lip, “You can’t kill a Nobody…they don’t even exist.”

Roxas was now confused on what was going on since he didn’t know what Nobodies were, or who the heck Xemnas really was. Obviously someone who had superior-like qualities.

Axel stood up as Marluxia kept his eyes on him, “Are you going to leave, now? Had enough of your love lust, hmm?”

Axel laughed, “No. There has to be a reason why you’re refusing me…and it can’t just be because I slipped about you and your ways.”

The Assassin glared, what was Axel getting at, “What do you mean?”

“You’re hiding something!”

“I’m not hiding anything.”

“What, do you like Demyx? Is that why you’re shying away from me?”

“That isn’t it at all, Axel.”

“Yeah it is! I know what you’re trying to do!”

Marluxia smirked, “You do? That’d be a first.”

“Shut up. I’ve already warned Demyx about your ways…hopefully he listens.”

“Now are you done?”

“…”

Axel opened a portal and disappeared. Roxas dove for the empty room thinking someone was going to come out and found that Axel had not. He curiously looked about and stared at Demyx for an explanation, but the boy had something else on his mind.

“Something wrong, Demyx?”

“Um…no.”

Okay yeah there was a problem. Was Marluxia planning something on him? Was Axel right? He could never trust these people anymore….

“Let’s just go hang out for another couple of hours, alright?”

“Okay!”
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Marluxia watched as Demyx entered late at night. He was sitting in bed reading a book and he looked up at the Melodious Nocturne curiously before letting his eyes fall back to the words of his novel, “How was your time with Roxas?”

“Better than I expected, he told me he didn’t really like Axel.”

“That’s cute.”

“And we went around and played jokes on old people!”

“You would do that to the elderly.”

Demyx scuffed his hair up and looked at Marluxia, “Something wrong?”

Marluxia put his book down and pulled out the card in which the flowers came with, “Why’d you give me flowers?”

“Um…I didn’t?”

“Don’t be stupid, Demyx, this is your handwriting and I know it.”

Demyx looked at the card. Yeah, it was his handwriting. Why hadn’t he thought of making Roxas sign it for him? Ugh, he was dumb.

“Well-“

“And was there a reason why you sent Axel here with them?”

“Me? Send Axel to you? Uh…no way!”

“Oh please!”

Marluxia glared at him and pulled him down on the bed, “Don’t lie to me like that. Why’d you do that?”

Demyx tried to think of a scapegoat, “Well Roxas thought it’d be funny-“

“Funny?”

“Y-yeah…like…because he thought you two would fall in love or something…that mushy stuff…”

“I know you two were listening in on our conversation, so don’t act stupid.”

Oh God he was ******** much have you told Roxas about the Organization?”

“Not much…besides saying that he was part of our group.”

Marluxia glared, “You don’t know that for sure, Demyx.”

“But the things he’s told me points to it!”

“I don’t care! You don’t breathe a word of it unless Xemnas tells us so! Are you trying to make him run away or something?”

“No! I just…wanted him…to like me more..”

“That’s a pathetic way to do it!”

“Sorry that I’m no Prince Charming…”

Marluxia let Demyx go, “So how far have you gotten with him?”

Whoa, that was such a personal question, “W-what?”

“You heard me, I didn’t stutter.”

“Why do you want to know??”

“Because it can put you at an advantage over Axel.”

“But we already know Axel isn’t after Roxas!”

“Just tell me, Demyx.”

“We kissed-“

“With tongue?”

“Does it matter that much??”

“Yes.”

“Well…okay…yeah.”

“That’s cute, your first kiss was with Roxas.”

Demyx tried to keep a straight face as he didn’t want to look overly embarrassed at the fact that Marluxia was calling him and Roxas ‘cute’. Ugh, he was never going to get used to this.

“Have you tried any moves on him?”

Demyx’ eyes went wide. What the HELL?

“N-no?”

“You’re not trying hard enough, Demyx.”

“I don’t even know any moves! All I can do is play my sitar-“

“You’re so hopeless.”

“It isn’t like I need to make moves on him if we already like each other-“

“But it makes him feel better if you continuously hit on him to show that you’re still interested. Sometimes first kisses can be a total turn off.”

“You’d know!”

Marluxia fell silent as he gave Demyx a sullen and gloomy look. He obviously struck a chord on him.

“S-sorry…”

Marluxia picked his book back up and began to read, though he still looked rather pissed. Demyx felt his phone vibrate and he moved over to the small chair thing and plopped down on it to see who it was.

Axel.

‘how was ur date?’

Demyx smiled, ‘Invigorating.’

He let his eyes fall on Marluxia who hadn’t noticed he was playing with his phone. It seemed the guy was too pissed to do anything about it.

Oh God, he had to sleep next to that raging monster.

He stared at the message he received.

‘how’s 11?’

Hmm, this was like déjà vu. He tried to think of some really big word that would describe Marluxia’s behavior.

‘Royally pissed.’

That was all he could think of.

‘Y’s that?’

‘He’s had a really bad day.’

‘O rly?’

Demyx shook his head, he was NOT going to do that with Axel.

‘How do you make someone utterly pissy happy again?’

‘4 u that’s imposble.’

Demyx glared at Axel’s horrible spelling. Couldn’t he ever learn how to text sentences nicely? And HE was the one that always spelled things out for people. What a loser.

He stuck his phone back in his pocket and went over to Marluxia staring down at the guy, “Are you angry with me?”

Marluxia just flashed a very demonic glare at him before going back to reading.

Well, that was a definite yes.

Demyx got closer, “Awww, come on Marluxia…it was just a joke…”

The man didn’t respond.

Demyx let this sink in before he got a brilliant idea. He dove underneath Marluxia’s book and in between the guy’s legs, giving the Assassin a big pout, “Are you that angry at me?”

Pout pout pout.

Marluxia stared at Demyx mostly in surprise as the kid was…well on top of him practically.

“I’m not angry at you.”

“But your face says you aaaarrreee….”

Marluxia put his book down, “Demyx, would you kindly remove yourself from my lap?”

Demyx shook his head, “Not until you’re happy with me!”

Marluxia’s eyebrow twitched until he realized how very perverted he could make this. He smiled and pulled Demyx close to him, their faces inches apart, “You’re right, I should satisfy myself first.”

Demyx blinked. What the hell was going on?

Marluxia pushed Demyx down onto the bed and got on top, pressing his body into IX’s.

“I think I can make this very educational for you at the same time pleasurable.”

Demyx gave a nervous laugh, “Um…thanks but…no thanks?”

“Oh hush, Demyx, I won’t hurt you. I mean…besides, who else would do this to you?”

Demyx blinked, “Uh…Roxas?”

Marluxia leaned in and gave Demyx a soft little kiss on the cheek, “What if I told you he’s pretending?”

Demyx frowned, “You really think he is?”

“Of course, he wants into the Organization and the easiest way to do that is through you without getting ********. That’s why he’s avoiding Axel, because Axel wouldn’t help him in. You, on the other hand, would.”

Demyx never thought about that, “Is that true?”

“Sadly, Demyx, it is.”

Marluxia kissed him softly, “But I can make you feel better.”

Demyx gave a questioning look as their lips parted and he shook his head, “I don’t think you could.”

“Oh come on…I’m willing to sleep with you to make you feel good.”

“But-“

“Do you want to be the only one in the Organization that hasn’t gotten any?”

“Well-“

“Who else would be with homely little you?”

Demyx thought it over. Who WOULD want to be with him? Roxas was obviously faking it, right? Marluxia was probably right. If he just accepted this then he at least wouldn’t be the only one in the Organization who wasn’t sleeping around.

“Um..well…I…guess.”

“See? There’s nothing wrong with giving in.”

Demyx watched as Marluxia tugged at his clothes playfully, though he wasn’t even sure if he wanted to do this, “Um….I don’t know…I just…”

“Hush, Demyx, just sit there and look cute. I’ll give you some pointers.”

And so Demyx let Marluxia do what he wanted, which for someone who already was in agony of thinking about it knew it was going to last longer than expected.

And it did.

He tried not to think much of it, just deciding that it was bound to happen sooner or later. Axel had mentioned that Marluxia was a whore. And of course there were subtle hints about the room and the things Marluxia had brought that hinted he wanted to sleep with him. For some reason he just didn’t get the hint.

Demyx bit his lip as Marluxia continued his foreplay.

“Are you done yet?”

“Of course not, Demyx. You’re really tense, you should loosen up.”

“I kind of can’t because you’re kind of…all over me.”

“Want me to massage your back for you?”

“Uh, no, because that would just be another way for you to put yourself into m-“

“Oh stop whining, you know you like it.”

“Not…really…it hurts.”

“Poor thing.”

Marluxia kissed Demyx roughly, “You should play back with me, it isn’t any fun being the only one doing things.”

“I thought you were going to give me pointers, not just sex me up.”

“Well if you were paying attention you would have learned a few things. Want me to start over?”

“N-no.”

Marluxia laughed and kissed him again, “You’re cute when you’re vulnerable.”

“I don’t like being cute, then.”

The Assassin laughed and sat up, “Alright, if you’re not in the mood to go on then I won’t pressure you into doing so. But just remember everyone’s bound to find out about this.”

“I don’t care….”

Marluxia got dressed and watched as Demyx scrambled to get his clothes on. What a dork.

“I even got you to stay up late!”

“Lucky you.”

“Should we go to bed?”

“Not in the way you’re thinking.”

“Aww, I wasn’t thinking that way, silly.”

Demyx tucked himself into his normal spot and shook his head, “Just…don’t bother me.”

“You’re so irritable, you poor thing.”

Demyx didn’t answer as the room fell silent. Marluxia whispered a good night before they both fell off into their own slumber. Demyx had nightmares of what had happened, and couldn’t even believe he had done that. Somewhere in the middle of the night he had texted Axel about what happened.

The only reply he got back was ‘Told u.’

He stared at it and wiped one of the tears from his eyes before dropping the phone on the floor and getting up to leave, Marluxia was fast asleep. He didn’t even care how he looked at the moment.

With soft footsteps he left the room.

Awwwwww.

That was so sad.

I like Demyx even more, just because he's so cute and innocent, but he's like THE SMART ONE of the story. Which is just like... even better.

And he got so pissy, which showed his bipolarness.

I loved it.

Demyx had disappeared from the world altogether. He couldn’t stand it anymore. For once he was too upset to even talk to anyone about this whole mess. He didn’t even grab his phone from off the floor. Not like he’d need it.

Slowly he walked the beaches of an unknown island and sighed as his eyes went to the moon. It was nice, but not good enough for him.

Why had he been dumb enough to sleep with Marluxia?

Why did he even think Roxas liked him? Or anyone for that matter?

Why did he stay here…in this dismal place…in the Organization…an area of complete and utter hate? He was never the type to fight and yet he was chosen to live this utter hell, and yet not actually live at all….

The water rose and touched his boots and slowly it fell back leaving a small starfish at his feet. With tender care he picked it up and threw it back into the sea, watching it disappear from sight.

Suddenly his eyes flashed as if he came upon a brilliant idea.

“If…I just leave…and disappear, I can forget about this all! Why…didn’t I think of that before?”

He smiled and laughed, oh man how easy could it be?

But…where to go?

He thought about all the worlds he could escape to, any place he wanted. Then again…would Xemnas find him?

He sighed and sat down on a rock rubbing at his temple. Running away was harder than he thought.

Would he have to bring provisions? Would there be food there? What if he couldn’t fit in there either??

“This is…so stupid!”

He got up and kicked a rock and found that it was rather solid and nicely stuck in the sand. He hopped around and cursed loudly as he held onto his foot in agony. Never again would he underestimate the power of rocks.

….Lexaeus was probably secretly gluing that thing to the ground.

He glared at it with all of his might before feeling somewhat paranoid. Was…someone watching him?

He looked about and almost jumped out of his skin as someone WAS standing there staring at him like he was a complete idiot.

“S-Saix?”

The Luna Diviner stepped closer and stared down at him, “Xemnas sent me here to tell you that the mission is off. Axel brought Roxas to the castle earlier this morning. I already told Marluxia so you don’t have to worry about going back to that pitiful town.”

Demyx frowned and looked at the sand. Axel…took Roxas back? It wasn’t even his mission to do! It was his and Marluxia’s! Wasn’t it?

“Why are you here anyway, Demyx? This island is nowhere close to where you’re supposed to be.”

“Does it even matter? I’ll do what I want!”

“Without Xemnas’ consent?”

“Yes, without his stupid consent! I’m not a child-“

“Yes you are-“

“I am NOT!”

“I heard what you said earlier…”

“What?”

“Are you thinking about leaving the Organization?”

Demyx opened his mouth and closed it. How long was Saix standing there watching him? Hell….that wasn’t good for him!

“I don’t think Xemnas will think very highly of that opinion. If I were you I’d pretend that you never said it and hurry on back to the castle before word gets around about it.”

“But…”

“What?”

“I’m not going back.”

“Are you sure you want to do that?”

“Yes, stop questioning me like that.”

“I’m only trying to warn you…”

“About what? The ‘consequences’ I will endure if I happen to get caught? Why’s it even matter…I’m not even part of this stupid Organization anyway. I’m just a filler.”

“That’s a poor attitude, you should be happy.”

“About what?”

“I don’t know, you’ve always been the cheerful one, find something to be glad about. And after you’re done cheering up you’ll come with me-“

“I’m not going anywhere with you.”

“Don’t be like this.”

“Why not? I’ve already told you what I’m doing. Why don’t you go rat me out on Xemnas? Like he’d even remember what my name is.”

Demyx turned, a portal created to let him leave. Saix grabbed his arm harshly, “I’ll drag you all the way back if I have to, and I don’t care how much you scream and shout.”

Demyx glared, “Let go of me!”

“Why are you even acting like this?”

“I told you it doesn’t matter-“

“If it didn’t matter you wouldn’t be acting so childish.”

“I’m not childish!”

“You know, you sound a lot like Axel right now…”

Demyx glared, “Oh thanks.”

“So it has something to do with him I am presuming?”

“It’s got nothing to do with him-“

“Yes it does, tell me.”

“You wouldn’t understand-“

“Just spit it out or I’ll beat it out of you.”

Demyx glared at Saix and let the portal disappear. He moved over to the rock and sat down again, a heavy sigh escaped him. So when did Saix start getting nosy about his business? Out of all the people he was pretty sure Saix was the last person to ever care about gossip.

“I…”

He wanted it to be basic. Really basic. And he’d drop out the boyfriend part, and also Marluxia.

“I wanted Roxas to be my friend since…well no one is. And Axel butted in and literally swept Roxas off of his feet just to prove that he’s better at everything than me.”

“I thought Axel was your friend?”

“Yeah right…who are you kidding…I don’t have friends.”

“You have the Organization.”

“I…don’t want the Organization. I want to live again and to just forget that I was ever here.”

“All of that because you don’t have a friend?”

“Yes.”

“Are you forgetting something?”

“No.”

Saix gave a slight smile, “That wasn’t what Marluxia said.”

Demyx stared at Saix in horror. Did…Marluxia tell Saix? Who else did he tell? Did everyone know about what they did last night?

“W-what?”

“You heard me.”

“Has he told anyone else?”

“I don’t know. Possibly. You shouldn’t stress out about it, he’s done it to almost everyone.”

“I don’t CARE! God…you’re so stupid.”

“Me? For what?”

“You just…don’t get it.”

“Marluxia had sex with you, what is there not to get?”

“Remember what happened to Axel? And before him Luxord? And before him-“

“They were harassed and heckled about it.”

“I don’t want that! As if I don’t get picked on enough as it is…”

“Don’t make it a big deal and it won’t last.”

“That’s easy for you to say…”

“Why not just get it over with now? You’re just prolonging it.”

Demyx looked past Saix to the beautiful blue ocean. It looked nice at this moment. He wished he could just drown in it.

“I have to hear it for a lifetime…”

Saix sighed and bent down, their eyes met.

“I’ll tell you what I told Axel. You can either get upset about it and feed their hunger, or you can ignore it and let the pack move on. We both know which way Axel went, stupid enough as it was.”

Demyx rubbed his head, “Yeah I know…but…I’m not good under pressure.”

“Then make something up and go with it.”

“What am I supposed to do? Claim I gave Marluxia a horrible disease?”

Saix smiled slightly, “It would definitely catch everyone off guard.”

Demyx tried to think harder. What other tormenting things could he do that would totally turn the tables for him? He was best at winging it…

“Fine…I’ll….go with you…but don’t think it doesn’t mean I want to stay there.”

“Your secret is safe with me.”

Did that make it really safe or not safe at all? He didn’t know much about Saix and secrets…

They stepped into the cold grounds of The World That Never Was, the wind whipped at them harshly as the moon loomed above in its heart-shaped happiness. Sometimes Demyx would talk to it, as if it had ears. He wondered if anyone else talked to inanimate objects. The darkness turned into light as they walked inside to see the bright walls. No one was around as of yet, but Demyx knew the herd had to be close. He could practically smell it.

Not that the Organization smelled bad or anything…well then again he didn’t actually sniff people. Maybe Zexion would tell him whether someone smelled or not.

They walked down the hallways before Demyx snapped his fingers and pushed open Xigbar’s door to grab something. He quickly came back out and Saix gave him a peculiar look but Demyx could only smile.

“Brace yourself,” Saix murmured and opened the meeting door.

Everyone was lounging about on chairs talking. Roxas was at the head talking to Xemnas trying to figure out everyone and everything. Axel was close by listening to Marluxia tell stories, which Demyx could only guess it had to deal with him.

The room quieted down and Marluxia smiled at him, the group snickered.

“Oh good, I thought you had lost him.”

“He had to show me something before we left.”

Xaldin snorted, “Like what?”

Demyx butted in, “A colony of starfish!!”

Xemnas looked at Demyx and Saix before going back to talking to Roxas obviously not interested in the matter.

Luxord smiled at Demyx, “We were just listening to Marluxia tell some interesting stories!”

Demyx beamed, “Really?”

Larxene giggled, “It seems you’ve been marked off of Marluxia’s hit list. So you two must have been really busy last night!”

The group chuckled, Demyx bit his lip trying to take it. All he had to remember was what he had to say. His eyes looked over at Saix who had taken his seat away from the group. Just…ignore their taunts. Right!

“Yeah, it was pretty crazy.”

The group laughed harder, Xigbar spoke up, “How’s it feel not being so innocent?”

“The same as it did before. Though I do feel kind of guilty.”

“Guilty? About what?”

Demyx shrugged, “Well…about what I gave Marluxia and all. I mean, it isn’t going to be pretty for him in the future.”

There was silence.

“Gave him?”

“Yeah….you know…STDs? I tried to say something but I mean…who could refuse?”

Still silence.

“Well I’m going to go to bed, I’m kinda tired. Oh, Marluxia, do you want this? You might need it,” Demyx flashed the tube that he had stolen from Xigbar’s room.

Everyone’s mouth dropped. Marluxia gave a somewhat horrified look, “Um no.”

“Okay. Well when you do just tell me!”

Demyx turned and left.

Oh heavens he was going to piss himself, he couldn’t even believe he just did that.

Quickly he dashed to Xigbar’s room and threw the thing back in his room. He’d definitely need to wash his hands. With a mad dash he went into his room and launched himself on his bed. All of his dirty clothes and such covered his floor from the trip. He snorted…couldn’t Marluxia be nice enough to put them in the laundry room?

He rolled to a sitting position and stared at the dirty room. Had he left it like that before? Hmm…it felt…nice.

He laid back down with a happy sigh and stared out his small window. How come he got the smallest window in all of the Organization? Xemnas’ were HUGE. And Saix’? Jeez. There just was no comparison.

He didn’t even hear his door open, or rather hear someone enter since he was dumb enough to leave the door open, and was soon staring at red hair.

“Huh??”

He moved to sit up and noticed it was Axel. Oh great.

“What do you want?”

“Hey…jeez, you sound rather upset. I came here to give you your cell phone, Marluxia gave it to me to give to you.”

Demyx stared at Axel. That p***k. Why was he even bothering showing his face around here? Ugh, he hated him, “Whatever.”

He relaxed again hoping the idiot would get the message and leave.

“Uh…well I’ll set it over here, alright?”

No response.

“Sooo, sorry about last night.”

Demyx continued to lay there ignoring Axel.

“I mean…I knew it was going to happen sooner or later, and if I could I would have interrupted-“

“But you were too busy getting some a**. Yeah, don’t worry about it. Bye.”

Axel stood there stupefied.

Did…Demyx..?

“That wasn’t it at all, Demyx!!”

Demyx sat there clearly blowing him off.

“Oh come on, you have to believe me. I explained to him what I HAD to do-“

“It wasn’t even your mission-“

“Marluxia said I could take him-“

“Why??”

“BECAUSE…because…”

Axel went over to Demyx with sad eyes, “He wanted you in exchange for Roxas. He told me that he’d KILL Roxas if I didn’t comply! What did you want me to do? Get in a huge fight with Marluxia and risk having Xemnas kill me? I don’t want that! And I knew you’d be hurt, but-“

“But you did it anyway.”

“I didn’t want Roxas killed either…I mean, I didn’t know him at the time, but would YOU just decide to have someone killed even if you didn’t know them?”

Demyx sighed and glared at Axel before rubbing at his head, “No…”

“Exactly! So…I…decided that I’d make it up to you afterwards…”

“I don’t think that’s possible.”

“Oh come on…anything at all I can do for you?”

Demyx glared, “Go ******** yourself and leave my room, that’d be nice.”

Axel frowned, “Demyx…”

“What? You’ve done your damage, alright? I don’t want to hear you beg your way out of my wrath.”

Axel looked at Demyx and turned away, “Fine…I just…wanted to repent…sorry for bothering you…”

He made his way over to Demyx’ door where he slipped past it and closed the door softly behind him.

Demyx smiled at his victory over the pitiful Axel. Then after ten seconds of that he began to feel ungodly guilty about it all. Axel was trying to save Roxas…

He’d probably sacrifice Axel over Roxas, too.

“Oh Christ…”

He got up and opened the door to call Axel back and noticed he was still standing there.

“Sooo….you feeling guilty now?” Axel asked with a hopeful face on.

“…I suppose. Come on..”

Axel entered happily and they plopped down onto his bed. It just wasn’t the same anymore. Demyx felt like he was reaped of his happiness…Axel seemed more absorbed and fun-filled than him.

That was sad, they switched roles. And it definitely wasn’t for the better.

“Sooo…are you going to cheer up or no?”

“Maybe…tomorrow. I just don’t feel like being happy right now.”

“You really showed Marluxia a thing or two.”

“Yeah, though it was all a lie.”

“So? You made everyone laugh, it just shows you’ve got the upperhand of this situation. AND you did it in front of Xemnas, that’s like…bonus points.”

“I forgot he was there.”

“I wish I had the confidence like that. I think I’d totally lose it in front of those guys.”

“That’s probably why you practically mourned over your body for three months.”

“Hey…it was a very personal thing to me.”

“Well it is to me, too! I just…Saix gave me some advice and I went with it.”

“Yeah…he gave me some but…I’m way too stubborn to follow through with what people tell me.”

They looked at each other and laughed. How typical of them. Axel being stupid and stubborn while Demyx obeyed people.

Axel bit his lip and let his eyes fall onto Demyx, “So…was it as bad as you thought it would be?”

“With Marluxia? Nyeh…now that I think of it…it wasn’t horrible, I just didn’t want to do it with HIM.”

“Yeah…”

“What about you?”

“I…well…I wanted it so badly I didn’t really think about who I was messing around with. At the time it was exactly what I wanted, but afterward I couldn’t stop thinking about what everyone else would say to me. From there…well…things just got worse, so I regret doing it.”

“You shouldn’t let what others say about you get to you…”

“Yeah…I know…”

“Then again I probably wouldn’t have been so horny to get all over the first person I saw anyway-“

“Hey! I was just….stupid at the time, okay?”

“Yeah sure, something like that.”

Axel glared and Demyx giggled as the redhead had contorted his face to look angry. He looked pitiful instead.

“Well then why didn’t you find someone else to be with? Was it because Marluxia is easy access?”

Axel kept up his demeaning look before he let it go and he gave a bashful smirk, “No…I just…can’t ask the person. They don’t like me like that.”

“Who is it?”

“Demyx! That’s personal.”

“Oh, sorry. I just thought you’d tell me sooner or later. I mean…you know that I like Roxas..but…I doubt it’d ever work out anyway.”

Axel bit his lip. He wasn’t sure if he should say anything or not.

“Okay…okay…fine I’ll tell you.”

Demyx gave a happy and gleeful look as he attentively leaned in to hear it.

“Xemnas.”

“WHAT??”

“Shut up!!! Jesus, Demyx!!”

“Oh my GOD!”

“Demyx!!!”

“Okay I’ll calm down!! I just…was surprised!”

“W-what? Who did you think I’d say?”

“Saix or something.”

“You’re joking, right?”

“No…”

“Ugh. He’s too much of a jackass for my taste.”

“He seems nice enough when he wants to be….but…Xemnas?”

“Shhh…lower your voice!”

Axel covered Demyx’ mouth and looked around as if the walls would go about and tell everyone about his secret love.

“I just…didn’t expect that…I mean…I’ve never seen you two talk to each other. Ever.”

“I know…he doesn’t have anything to really say to me…but…I just…really like him.”

Demyx scratched his nose and sighed, “And you thought whoring on Marluxia and Roxas would get you closer to Xemnas?”

“Okay, Marluxia was a mistake. And Roxas made it much easier to get close to him.”

“How??”

“You see…if I brought the new kid back instead of you guys Xemnas would recognize me for at least being useful!”

“Did he?”

“Well…yeah…but it wasn’t anything that I had thought it would be.”

“So he basically ignored you?”

“Yeah…but..he looked at me…said I should have let you finish your mission without my help. I told him that you just didn’t think you could bring Roxas here. He nodded slightly before he went off to show Roxas his room…”

Demyx scratched his head, “Oh…so…everything was a bluff?”

“Yeah…I just didn’t think I could outright tell you why I needed to be the one to bring Roxas here…That’s another reason why I made the deal with Marluxia…”

“Huh…well at least we’re all here then…”

Axel nodded and sat up to stare at the door. He looked miserable. Now things had switched off again.

“What’s up?”

“I don’t know. I just…was hoping to talk to Xemnas…”

“Like…personal talk?”

“Yeah.”

“Then why don’t you? I’ll drag Roxas away from him and you talk to him!”

“But…Saix is always around!”

“So? Ask him to leave.”

“B-but-“

“Oh stop being such a chicken, do I have to do it for you?”

“N-no! Don’t rush me!”

“If I don’t you’ll never do it.”

“I will too! Jeez…”

Axel glared at Demyx and sighed as he fiddled with his thumbs, “Have you ever stopped to think and wonder…if you’re actually really in love or not?”

Demyx cocked his head to the side, “What do you mean?”

“I mean…we can’t feel it since we don’t have hearts. But…I think that I love him.”

“I think we have hearts still…”

Axel shook his head, “If we did I wouldn’t be here…”

Demyx frowned, “What do you mean?”

“This place isn’t meant for people with hearts. It’s for those who are regaining theirs. I used to not care…but…Xemnas kind of…made me want one. I got the thoughts that maybe when I received my heart he’d see how much I like him.”

Demyx thought it over. Made sense what Axel was thinking. He didn’t want to believe it, though. Not having a heart…it was such a horrible thing to live with. How was Roxas coping? The kid was so happy and outgoing….surely it had to of affected him somehow.

“I think I should talk to Roxas.”

Axel looked at him, “Right now? I don’t think he’s moved from Xemnas’ side, though.”

“So?”

“You want to go back into that room where everyone is at? Marluxia would kill you.”

“Oh yeah…I forgot about him.”

Axel snorted and got up, stretching his long arms and legs, “Forgot? He’s probably out to get you! You’ve got to watch your back now, Demyx, he’s like a fox and you’re a chicken.”

Demyx frowned, “He’s going to eat me?”

“After he beats the crap out of you.”

“Great…”

Axel walked back over to Demyx, “He’s the predator and you’re the prey…you need to outsmart him.”

“Well it isn’t like he’s out to destroy me…I didn’t really notice his reaction to what I did anyway.”

Axel shrugged, “Maybe he’ll want to kiss and make up with you! I just think that…he’s going to seek revenge.”

Demyx got up and moved toward the door. He hesitated in opening it wondering whether Marluxia might be on the other side of his door ready to strangle him when he opened it. What he did was just funny…to prove that he wasn’t bothered by what happened. He was tired of Marluxia getting his way…but would he go out of his way to get back at Demyx for the joke?

He hoped not.

“Well…I guess it’s a risk I’ll take!”

Axel followed him out of the room, “You’ve got guts.”

“You have to when you don’t have a heart.”

They made their way back to the meeting room; the members were no longer there. Xemnas and Roxas could not be seen, and the one person in the room was Saix.

“Saix?”

He looked up from his reading and gave a questioning look, “Yes?”

“Do you know where Roxas is at?”

“Xemnas was talking to him when they left. I’m guessing they headed toward the gardens.”

Demyx nodded and turned to leave but whipped back around, “And um…what about Marluxia?”

Before Saix could respond a shadow fell upon him. Demyx felt something horrible clench his body, as if the stare from this shadow was killing him. It was Marluxia.

“What about me?”

“Uh…”

“Trying to get back at me for sleeping with you? What you said really pissed me off, Demyx.”

“It was a joke-“

“A joke? Embarrassing me in front of everyone was a joke?”

Demyx shrank backward as Marluxia started to come onto him, his blazing eyes stabbing hard into his soul. Axel moved to help but Marluxia shoved him out of his way with ease.

“I…I…I didn’t mean…”

“You’re going to pay for what you did, brat.”

Saix moved and grabbed onto Marluxia’s hands keeping them behind his back, “You won’t lay a hand on him. He’s done nothing wrong. If you were in his position you would have done the same thing.”

Marluxia glared at Saix, “You know nothing.”

Axel stood up and went over to Demyx to support the kid who was rather terrified of the dangerous diva.

“Demyx is the least of your problems, Marluxia.”

Marluxia pulled out of the restraint and turned to face Saix, “Oh really?”

“Xemnas is who you should worry about.”

“If that b*****d hadn’t said anything-“

“If you hadn’t slept with him it wouldn’t be such a big deal!”

“Are you saying something?”

“That you’re a whore and you’ve got a very bad temper when people point it out.”

Marluxia glared and looked back at where Demyx and Axel had been. They both had swiftly escaped from his grasp. Not like it mattered, he could easily get Demyx later. And Axel…he was so vulnerable. He’d show him a thing or two.

“Are you done?”

Saix smiled, “Do you think I am?”

“You’re wasting my ti-“

Saix shoved Marluxia hard against the wall, “Don’t worry, I’ll make it worth your while.”

oOoOo

Axel and Demyx were running through the hallway, probably the worst place to do that in. It wasn’t exactly expansive, and they knocked a few things off of the walls. A few doors opened and they received several glares from the other members. Not that they were important.

What mattered was finding Roxas.

Demyx kept up his pace obviously used to running. It was something he was born natural doing. Not to mention whenever it came to fights he’d bolt like a horse.

“Is that them??”

He pointed as he gave a few sharp breaths. Axel, who was breathing harder, nodded, “Yeah…uh…it…looks like…them.”

“Good! Come on!”

“Hey!”

Demyx ran again and Axel followed not exactly sure as to why he had to go with the kid. They soon arrived up to the two and Xemnas gave them bored looks as if they were odd strangers.

“Is there a reason why you’re running around in such a manner?”

His voice was soothing and low, the power poured from it. Demyx smiled at him not afraid of the Superior.

“I just wanted to see Roxas!”

“Oh.”

Xemnas’ eyes moved to Axel and then back to Roxas, “If you have anymore questions don’t be afraid to ask.”

With a turn he began to leave. Demyx shoved Axel who made a slight noise.

“Uh! Wait, Xemnas!”

The Superior turned his head, the expression he had on was pained as if Axel bothering him was torture.

“Uhh…oh…um…yeah I wanted to talk to…you!”

Axel SUCKED at this. Where the hell was a script when he needed one??

Xemnas looked miffed, “Well…speak then.”

He turned again and kept walking; Axel gave Demyx a terrified look but followed after the Superior.

The last thing Demyx heard from Axel was, “Sooo…do you like flowers?”

Oh heavens he was going to really ******** it up, wasn’t he? His eyes turned to Roxas who looked rather confused.

“Axel likes Xemnas.”

“Oh….that’s funny.”

“It is?”

“Yeah…just…Axel trying to flirt and being bad at it. He’s normally really suave.”

“Only when he’s acting.”

Roxas giggled and looked at the castle before sitting down on the edge of the flowerbed patting the seat beside him. Demyx sat down and they stared at each other.

“Well, it’s good to see you again!”

Demyx nodded, “Yeah…”

“I know what Marluxia did and all…but…the way you handled it. I couldn’t help but laugh.”

“Thanks…uh…he’s kind of out to get me for that.”

“Good!”

“Good??”

“Yeah! It shows you really got under his skin! He needs to be punished for his actions!”

“Oh. Yeah, you’re right.”

Roxas giggled and grabbed Demyx by his collar. He pulled him close and kissed him roughly. They two held onto each other for a while enjoying the privacy of the gardens. Just..being together was invigorating for both of them.

Roxas pulled back, “I missed that.”

Demyx gave a bashful smile, “Really?”

“Of course…you have to give yourself more credit, silly.”

They both giggled and Demyx grabbed Roxas’ hand, holding it softly. They stared at Kingdom Hearts together in silence enjoying each other’s presence.

“I…never thought you’d be here to enjoy this place with me.”

“I never thought I would either. I mean…you made it sound like a horrible place at times…but…this is beautiful to me.”

“Why?”

“Well…Twilight Town was just too bright and annoying. I need the gloom I suppose.”

Demyx smiled, “Yeah…I know what you mean.”

They leaned into each other quietly, fingers laced, arms intertwined. A truly cute couple.

Well, it could continue onward with lovey dovey, but there was a whole different story going on for Axel and Xemnas.

“Flowers? Why?”

“I don’t know, I was just wondering. There is a garden and all and you do happen to be in it….I just wondered if you liked them.”

“They’re fine.”

Axel bit his bottom lip. Ooooh he needed some love juices right now. How to hit on the Superior. Why not just do it his normal way? Make dirty comments and then kiss him? Oh heavens he couldn’t do that.

“What did you want, Axel? I’m sure it wasn’t about the flowers. Or is it really about them? Allergies getting to you?”

“Wh-what? Oh no! No. Um. They’re fine as they are. I was…uh…just thinking about us. I-I mean…not like, us us. I mean...like when we have hearts.”

“What about it?”

“Uhh…well…”

Axel scratched his head. What about the new life everyone was going to get.

“Will we still be an Organization?”

“Of course, it isn’t like we’re going to disband because we have hearts.”

“Ah…yeah…stupid question.”

Xemnas raised his eyebrow, “Is there something wrong? You’re acting nervous.”

“Me? No! Totally not…nothing wrong. Ahem.”

“Are you sure? Do I intimidate you?”

“No. Well yes. No I mean no. Yeah. Wait, what?”

“You’re not making any sense, Axel.”

Axel watched as Xemnas stopped and turned to him, eyes staring into his. The Superior looked rather confused and offended. Oh heavens. Do something Axel!

“We should sit down.”

“Should we?”

“Y-yeah…” Because Axel didn’t have a better plan.

Xemnas moved over to some lush green grass and sat down wondering what Axel had to explain. It must be pretty bad if he didn’t know how to speak correctly anymore.

Axel sat down in front of him and bit his lip. Soooo, now what?

“We’re sitting.”

“Uh…huh…yeah…uh…”

“Is there something I should know?”

“Well yeah…”

“Then tell me.”

“I uh…well..am trying.”

“I don’t think stuttering is trying.”

Axel stared at Xemnas. Okay. He didn’t want him to speak. He could deal with that. He’d go with actions. Spunk. Be hot. Show him what you want.

Axel grabbed onto Xemnas and shoved him down on the grass, straddling the Superior and honing in for a kiss. The Superior, of course, had really quick reflexes and held Axel back.

“What are you doing??”

“I’ll explain later?”

Xemnas shoved him off and moved to get up, “No-“

Axel snatched at his leg and pulled him back down, climbing up Xemnas’ body, “Just trust me!”

Xemnas was going to say something when Axel kissed him. Bam. Just like that. Axel had never thought he’d ever do this, and to tell the truth he was really scared in doing it. But he didn’t want to come off like that, especially since he was kissing Xemnas. So he put as much lust and love into his kiss as he could muster. For not being alive, he had to say that he was doing a good job at it.

Xemnas pulled away after awhile, “Alright….explain your actions.”

“I’m in love with you.”

“You can’t be.”

“Shut up and kiss me.”

“Axel-“

Axel kissed him again. Xemnas didn’t fight, though he didn’t like being interrupted. As soon as he could he pulled away again.

“We don’t have hearts.”

“Well I KNOW that I love you. So there. When I get my heart back all I want to do is share it with you.”

“Axel…”

“I know, that was really corny. I couldn’t think of anything good to say besides ‘wooo horny’ but yeah. I thought that’d ruin this moment.”

Xemnas stared at him, that confused look back on his face, “The corny definitely sounded better.”

“Exactly.”

“I can’t exactly just sleep around with whoever I want-“

“You wouldn’t be, you’d be with me.”

“The others would see that as favoritism-“

“I call it a relationship.”

“Now please-“

“I just don’t want to be without you…or to be rejected.”

Xemnas looked at Axel and then looked down, “Rejected?”

“I’m afraid you’ll say no and banish me to some stupid corner to wash dishes or something.”

“No…I just wasn’t expecting you to feel so strongly about me. The others-“

“Screw them!”

“B-“

“But nothing!”

“You do know I hate it when you interrupt me, right?”

Axel smiled, “Oh…sorry.”

Xemnas brushed some grass off of his cloak and looked at himself as if confused about whose body he was in. After awhile he looked back at Axel, “So you’re saying that I should just pretend that the others wouldn’t object to their Superior having a relationship with a subordinate?”

Axel stared, “Uh….yeah? I mean look at Marluxia! He’s slept with everyone! Can’t you have some fun?”

“That’s why Marluxia is 11 and I’m 1. I have self control and he doesn’t. Besides, he’s got a temper.”

“Yeah…I found that out..”

Xemnas stood up and brushed himself off looking around the gardens expecting anyone to pop out at any minute. Axel rose up and grabbed onto Xemnas, kissing him again. He couldn’t help himself, it was just too irresistible.

“You can’t always do that, Axel.”

“Why not? Is it going to be some big secret?”

“Well-“

“That would make it seem like a big deal, though. Then when they find out they’ll make it seem like a huge ordeal. I think it’d be better to just do what we want!”

“You would think that way, Axel.”

Axel smiled, “I can’t help myself when I know I’m right.”

Xemnas shook his head and began to walk off, Axel followed along like a lamb.

“Are you going to keep following me?”

“Yeah, why not? I’m interested in you, I’m not just going to let you go like that.”

“Oh.”

“Haven’t you done this before?”

“No.”

“Seriously?”

“Why?”

“I don’t know…you just seem to be really good looking, I was expecting you’d at least been with someone before.”

“Well I haven’t.”

Axel shrugged to himself and stared at Xemnas. He was walking like he was utterly bored with Axel. Cute. Man…his chest was huge. Maybe he worked out a lot?

“So…do you work out a lot?”

Xemnas stared at him like he was dumb, “No.”

“Really? You’ve got a really nice…uh….” Wow he sounded stupid, “Chest…”

Xemnas looked down at his chest and looked onward, “When I was alive I had surgery done and they cracked open my ribcage. They didn’t replace it very well.”

Axel frowned, “Oh.”

Man he was so dumb. He knew nothing about Xemnas and yet he was declaring love to this guy. He probably sounded like a complete moron to Xemnas. Then again…why didn’t Xemnas just shove him off and make him do something useful? Possibly he was used to this kind of crap?

“Remember earlier today when Demyx said he gave Marluxia something?”

“What about it?”

“Well don’t you feel uh….”

Think of a word Axel. Ugh he sucked.

“Doesn’t that seem like you should deal with it?”

“What do you mean?”

“Well with Marluxia sleeping around. I mean…isn’t it kind of bad that he’s doing that?”

“I suppose.”

“Then he should be punished!”

“I don’t do punishments.”

Axel stopped and watched Xemnas continue onward. He shook his head and caught up to him, “Why not? Some disobedience should be fixed with lashes or something.”

“It isn’t my problem.”

“What if he splits up the whole Organization?”

“I doubt he’d do that.”

“What makes you say that?”

“Because he isn’t in charge. If he’s a problem to someone then they can deal with him. He hasn’t bothered me at all.”

Axel scratched his head and then smiled, “So wait. If I had a problem with Xigbar I could just give him a good one to the face and you wouldn’t care?”

“Why would I care?”

“Sweet!”

“Sweet?”

“I didn’t know you didn’t care! I thought you’d kill us if we got back at each other!”

Axel’s head rushed with all kinds of ideas on how to repay the others. Heh.

“What are you thinking?”

“Just….how to repay a few people.”

“I see.”

Xemnas kept walking and Axel followed on thinking of all the horrible things he could do. Of course, he hadn’t thought about what OTHERS could do to him! Especially at an innocent moment like this.

“Hey! Axel!!”

Axel whipped around and was soon tackled by Xigbar. His head hit the ground hard.

“Ouch.”

Xigbar laughed viciously, “Been lookin’ for ya, buddy, I’ve got a few things to settle with ya.”

Axel frowned and noticed Xemnas kept walking obviously uninterested in their ordeal.

“Can it wait? I’m pursuing Xemnas.”

“Persuading him? To do what?”

“Pursue, Xigbar, not persuade. I’m kind of…chasing after him for something.”

“And he won’t hand it over?”

“Yeah, kinda.”

“Oh. Well ya have to make him smile to get it!”

“Smile? But…he never smiles.”

“Well o’ course he does! Have ya tried suckin’ up? It works for me!”

Xigbar smiled wickedly and Axel finally understood why Xigbar was second in command. He probably kissed a** like no other.

“Compliment him…on what? Just anything?”

“Nah, he really likes it when ya talk about his hair.”

“Huh.”

Axel moved to get up, but Xigbar refused to move off of him. He struggled and the sniper just laughed.

“Watch this, bucko, I can rile him up a good one!”

Axel sighed and Xigbar moved off to bother Xemnas. He watched from his spot on the ground, rolling over to his stomach.

Xigbar dashed up and slapped Xemnas’ on the back, “Hey! Wassup my Superior-ness? Ganderin’ at d’em flowers t’nigh’?”

Xemnas stared at Xigbar clueless at what Xigbar was saying. He had a knack of slurring all of his words together sometimes. Okay, only when he spoke to Xemnas just to confuse the hell out of him.

“Soooooo I was wonderin’ if ya’d mind if I shimmy’d down to the P-ort of the Royal-ness to sip up a bit?”

Xemnas thought about that. Whatever it meant.

“Alright.”

“Thanks!”

Xigbar laughed and vanished through a portal.

Axel moved over to Xemnas, “Uh…you do know you just told him he could go drink himself to death, right?”

“Oh.”

Axel smiled, “Well it isn’t like he was going to do anything else even if you said no.”

Xemnas frowned this time, glaring at Axel, “Are you saying he’s disobeying me?”

Whoa, this could be bad. Better fix it.

“No no! I just meant…Xigbar is simple-minded?”

Ugh he was really going to ruin this relationship before it started.

Xemnas gave Axel a defying look before he finally stopped walking, “Maybe you should go do something right now? Make sure Roxas and Demyx don’t get into trouble.”

“Okay…”

Well…that’s rejection. Ah, if he had a heart right now he was sure it’d have broken like that. He vanished through a portal and found the two kissing and holding each other. Oh heavens it was so cute he wanted to keep them as pets!

No not really, he just wanted to throw rocks at them to make them stop.

“AHHEM!! OHH IT’S A GOOD THING I’M WALKING IN THESE GARDENS!”

The two broke apart and Axel moved closer, “Jeez, can’t you two get a room?”

They both blushed and giggled. My my, they were adorable.

“So how’d it go with Xemnas?” Demyx asked.

Axel shrugged, “Uh…I kissed him…but I think he’s confused at what I’m doing. He kept giving me this really odd look…”

“Was he horny?” Roxas asked.

“N-no! He was just…bored I guess.”

Roxas giggled, “Did you tell him his hair was cool? He’s in better humor once you do that.”

Axel frowned, “Dude…am I the only one who doesn’t compliment his hair?”

Demyx shrugged, “I accidentally told him his chest was huge and he gave me an offended look and told me to clean the bathroom.”

Axel slapped his hand to his head. He was an idiot. Demyx and him on the same wavelength…that was bad.

Roxas giggled, “It’s getting really dark out, maybe we should head inside?”

And so the three went to Axel’s room to sleep for the night too awake to go to their own rooms. Besides, Demyx needed protection from Marluxia. Who knows what he’d try and pull?

I can't believe I forgot to read this earlier. I fail.

Anyways, that chapter was really cute. Demyx seems so much more sophisticated and less spazzy in this. It makes me like him a lot more.

And Axel and Xemnas. That was priceless the way Axel kept kissing him and he just didn't care. Made me fall for Xemnas more too.

And Saix? Pushing Marluxia into the wall like that. Don't even get me started. He needs to do that to a woman. *cough* Just wait, someday he'll take me into his arms and make it worth MY while. Bwahah.

You're on a role with your magical Don-ness, making the characters better then they actually are.

((Okay, so I'm leaving my comments on here that were for fanfic, because i'm lazy XDDD))
Yup, here’s your new chapter updated gleefully! Sorry if it seems…I dunno, monotone? I couldn’t really think for this one, so the ending is rather crackshitted. But uh, the next chapter I’ll try to make much better!! Hope you enjoy!
OoOoOoOoOoOo
oOoOoOoOoOoO

Demyx slowly awakened from a heavy slumber. He felt extremely groggy.

Whoa…he drooled all over his hand.

Sick.

He wiped it on Axel’s shirt front and moved over to the bathroom to get a glimpse of his morning face. It was rather…ugly. He’d need a shower or else Roxas would probably wonder why he ever liked the guy.

He opened the door to his own room and noticed the place was completely silent. It seemed he was always the only person to ever wake up early. It wasn’t a bad thing though, right?

Exactly.

He moved around and gathered up some clothes from off of his floor and tried to shove them here and there so they wouldn’t be in his way. Then he got some clothes from his dresser and sniffed them wondering if they were still clean.

Hmm…yeah they were still good for another day or two.

He went into the bathroom and plopped his clothes on the sink edge before going over to turn the water on. The shower interrupted the silence and Demyx started to bop his head happily to some music in his head.

As he hopped in he had completely forgotten about Marluxia and his plot against him. It wasn’t like he wanted the guy after him, and he didn’t want him to be so pissy. What he had done was done, that was it.

His fingers worked through his messy hair and he yawned slightly. Hopefully today would go as well as it did yesterday with Roxas. He liked spending time with him. And perhaps Axel would have better luck with Xemnas?

Once he finished he came out and dried off, fixing his hair just the way he liked it. It was when he was brushing his teeth when he thought he heard someone outside in his room.

Carefully he slid over to his bathroom door and opened it, one eye browsed the room curiously. There was nothing there. Meh, maybe he just thought something was out there?

He finished brushing his teeth and came out fully dressed and poked around for a cloak.

That was when Marluxia came out of the closet. He pulled Demyx in with him and pulled the boy to the floor, his body weight crushing his frail body.

“M-Mar-Marlu-“

“What’s the matter, Demyx? Afraid of me?”

He lowered his head next to Demyx, “That’s good because once I’m finished with you the Organization will be back to twelve members.”

Demyx gasped and tried to struggle in summoning his power of water to hit Marluxia. But a vast shield of plants seemed to keep him well protected.

“Don’t struggle or I’ll make it last much longer.”

Something caught Demyx’ eyes and he screamed. A sharp pain entered into the upper part of his abdomen.

“What are you doing? Get off of me!”

Marluxia laughed, “Don’t cry too hard.”

Demyx got an arm loose and grabbed at Marluxia, trying to throw him off. A vine wrapped around his arm and pulled it harshly to the ground and he could feel sharp thorns starting to stick into his flesh.

“Marluxia! Stop! You’re sick!”

“Does it hurt?”

“Yes!”

“Then I won’t.”

The pain in his torso was creeping upward. He was guessing that Marluxia was trying to slice him in half or something.

With a sudden burst of energy Demyx slammed Marluxia’s head into the closet door. He’d gotten free and created a portal, slipping through for freedom.

A hand latched onto his ankle and harshly pulled him back, the portal vanished before his eyes.

He was going to die, wasn’t he?

“Let go of me you disgusting whore!”

Marluxia punched Demyx as hard as he could. Demyx felt his head smash into the wall. Was his lip bleeding? Or was that just the numbing sensation causing him to feel like he was?

“You ******** brat, I’ll make sure you never escape from me ever ******** you.”

His hand reached out for his weapon and he found his sitar just in reach. With as much oomph as he could he cracked it against Marluxia and left the closet. He bolted through the hallway and burst into Saix’ room thinking it was Axel’s.

So he couldn’t count, big whoop.

Saix was asleep like a rock in bed. What could he do? Waking him up wouldn’t save him because Marluxia would be in here too fast. And he couldn’t use the guy as a shield!

He got a brilliant idea and jumped in bed with him hiding deep under the covers. He breathed softly hoping Marluxia wouldn’t come in.

The door opened and he heard Marluxia’s harsh breathing. Demyx’ heart stopped. Oh wait, he didn’t have one. Well if he DID it would have right about then.

The footsteps neared the bed and he felt the covers being lifted so he could look under the bed.

It was then that Saix decided to roll over on top of him.

His face was mashed into Saix’ chest. Ooghk. The guy was kind of heavy. And now he couldn’t really breathe. Not to mention this would get really awkward when he had to explain to Saix once the guy woke up. Hopefully he’d…roll off of him…before that happens.

He couldn’t exactly hear anything but Saix’ breathing pattern now. It sounded weird. Not to mention Saix’ stomach was making funny noises, too. Maybe he was getting hungry?

Marluxia pushed open the closet and the bathroom. No one. He crossed his arms over his chest and then looked back at the bed.

Of course.

Demyx started to panic. He was going to find him and kill him underneath Saix. Oh God. Oh God.

He bit Saix’ chest and the guy woke up rather grumpily. Marluxia was towering over him with his hands on Saix’ blankets.

“What are you doing?”

Marluxia smiled, “Tucking you in?”

Saix glared and grabbed onto Marluxia’s collar, “Get out before I murder you. I thought you would have learned your lesson from last night.”

Marluxia pulled away, “Whatever.”

Demyx heard the door slam close. That’s when he started to wiggle out from under Saix, which caused VII to really wonder what the hell was going on underneath him.

“Hey! Thanks, Saix, he was coming at me and everything, I didn’t think I’d make it.”

“How’d you get under me?”

“You rolled on top of me.”

Saix glared, “Did you bite me?”

“I got scared!”

Saix snorted and sat up rubbing at his chest before he noticed the blood, “What the….”

Demyx noticed it was coming from his chest, “Oh God…Marluxia stabbed me!”

Saix snarled, “You bled all over me!”

“I’m dying!”

“I just cleaned these sheets, you know.”

“Saix!!!”

“Okay okay, I’ll get you fixed, alright?”

He got up and grabbed a towel and a few other things. He pointed at Demyx, “Get off of my bed!”

“But I’m in pain!”

“Then die on my carpet, alright? I have to sleep in that thing.”

Demyx moved to the floor and pulled up his shirt. The injury was kinda….big.

“Oh god! Oh god!!! I’m dying!”

“Shut up, you’ll be fine.”

He rubbed at it and Demyx twitched and slapped Saix’ hand away, “You’re being cruel!!”

“Oh please, do you want it clean or not?”

“Clean? Yes! But have my flesh rubbed off? No!”

“Oh stop your whining.”

The door opened and a sleepy looking Zexion came in, “Why is there screaming going on at this time in the morning?”

Demyx pointed at his chest, “Marluxia stabbed me!”

Zexion blinked and shuffled forward slightly, hair all over the place, “Hmm…yeah that does look kind of bad.”

“Oh God I’m going to die, aren’t I?”

Saix sighed, “We could have only wished.”

Demyx whimpered and watched as Saix tried to bandage it up as best as he could. When it was over he sighed in relief, “I’m saved.”

Zexion shrugged, “For now.”

“For…now?”

“Well…you said Marluxia did it, I’m assuming you didn’t kill him or I would have heard about it by now.”

“Oh..yeah…”

Zexion stood up and stretched slightly before Demyx decided to point out the obvious, “You know, Zexion, your hair looks really messy.”

Zexion and Saix exchanged looks, both of their hair looking like a pillow had molested them several hundred times.

“No comment,” Zexion sighed as he went out the door.

Saix shook his head, “You’re fine, now leave.”

“But what about Marluxia?”

“He won’t bother you. And if he does I’ll know about it.”

“Because you have a 6th sense?”

“No, because you’ll come in screaming for my help.”

“Oh…”

He was shoved out of the door and quickly he found shelter in Axel’s room. Roxas and Axel were still asleep in there looking like a sack of potatoes. They hadn’t moved from their original positions.

Slowly Demyx went over to see if they were faking it or really were out of it. Yeah…definitely out of it.

He sighed and created a portal, maybe Xemnas would be able to give him some comfort? Hopefully Marluxia wouldn’t be around…

oOoOoOoOo

Sleeeeep. He needed sleep! But he hadn’t been able to sleep for the longest time. He’d gone many times to his secret room to figure things out…but nothing ever came up. And now he had insomnia because he slept way too much in his previous times.

Xemnas rubbed his head and took a drink of his coffee, though that probably didn’t help his problem.

When he saw a portal being created he set his cup down slowly. It was Demyx.

“May I help you?”

“Xemnas..Superior…um…Sir.”

“…yes?”

“I’ve been..uh…having some issues with Marluxia…”

“Hmm?”

“Well…you see….when you sent us to that mission..he kind of. Well. He did things to me. And you heard me say I gave him ‘things’ and such. And well…he’s out to get revenge.”

Xemnas sat there staring at Demyx for a long time before he pointed at Demyx’ chest, “You’ve got a stain on your shirt.”

“Yeah! Because Marluxia stabbed me!”

“Oh really?”

“YA REALLY!”

“You don’t need to raise your voice.”

“…sorry…”

“What do you want me to do?”

“….He STABBED me. I mean, isn’t there a punishment for trying to kill a fellow member??”

Xemnas leaned back in his chair. It was probably from the sheer boredom of this conversation that finally caused Xemnas to just pass out right there.

Demyx thought he was thinking it over thoroughly. He stood there for about a minute or two before he coughed slightly. Nothing. Maybe the guy went into a trance? Man…he didn’t know Xemnas could do that!

“Xemnas?”

The man stayed in his position not moving. Demyx went over and finally noticed the guy was asleep. What a jerk.

He grabbed up the hot coffee and threw it onto Xemnas, which of course woke him up.

“I can’t believe we even call you a Superior when you don’t even help out any of us! Jeez, we’re all going to be dead because you’re too lazy to do anything for us!”

Demyx stormed off leaving Xemnas to take care of his now boiling lap.

He almost ran into Lexaeus, which he wasn’t sure why he hadn’t seen the guy.

“Sorry.”

He pushed past the guy who only glared at him viciously. As he made his way down the hallway he found that Marluxia wasn’t about to give up on his assassination attempt. The scythe came down through the air near his face and collided into the wall leaving a large dent in it.

Demyx screamed and shoved Marluxia out of the way running for his life. Marluxia chased after him angrily with his weapon still out letting the blade rip down the side of the wall making quite the racket.

More and more people started to open their doors to see what was going on.

Marluxia pulled the blade up and let it strike the ground sending a wave of flowers at Demyx. He was hit and went head over heels into the end of the hallway smashing his face against the wall. Dizzily he stood up and jumped out the window for safety. After landing in a thorn bush that attacked him to death he started to run down the garden hoping to find a safe spot.

Marluxia just laughed as he let the garden finish Demyx off. A shadow came over him and he glared, “Go away, Saix.”

The figure coughed and Marluxia turned. It…wasn’t Saix…

“Su-Superior?”

“Seize your nonsense this instant! What do you think you’re doing trying to seek revenge on the kid? He’s just a child, you don’t need to take it out on him.”

Marluxia bowed his head and let the garden stop its attack on Demyx. The boy staggered around slightly after just being choked by some peonies. He was pretty sure he’d have been done for right then and there.

“Keep your mind about you, Marluxia. Everyone in this place is crucial to our plan, got it? Now why don’t you wash dishes or something? Be useful.”

Marluxia glared but walked off to do the chores. Ugh, stupid Xemnas had to step in. He never did before. He bet that brat ratted on him, oh he’d get back at him.

Demyx sighed and got away from the garden noticing that Marluxia was finished with his attack. Maybe he finally saw that Demyx didn’t mean anything from what he said? Or perhaps seeing him getting choked by a bunch of pansy flowers was embarrassing enough for Demyx that he decided to let him go?

Demyx sighed and rubbed at his neck when a portal formed. With a scared expression he hid behind the stone bench, but found that it was only Xemnas.

“Huh? Oh…”

The Superior stared at Demyx, “I dealt with your problem for you.”

“You mean you stopped Marluxia from killing me?”

“Yes. He’s doing the dishes right now. Happy?”

“But how do I know that he won’t come back for more?”

“If he keeps at it he’ll find that he’ll be finished off. Now stand up, stop slouching, look at me.”

Demyx obeyed.

“Don’t ever throw coffee at me ever again. It’ll be your head mounted on my wall next time if you do.”

Demyx nodded.

Xemnas sighed, “Now go do something useful.”

“You tell everyone that.”

“It’s because everyone around here is lazy and would rather be weak and killed than strong and triumphant.”

“Oh…..”

Demyx rubbed at his chin and smiled, “So what do you want me to do?”

Xemnas felt put down. He thought the idiot might actual go training or something. “Just…finish the laundry.”

Demyx opened a portal and went into the laundry room happily. He didn’t mind doing laundry considering he always made his clones help out. He was told he shouldn’t use his power like that, but Demyx considered it his own way of training.

As he sat there playing the sitar while the clones worked away for him he heard the door open. His eyes went over to see Xaldin entering looking rather tired.

“Good morning, Xaldin!!”

“Good morning, Demyx.”

His accent was kind of heavy and odd to Demyx. He wasn’t used to Xaldin speaking around him that much. Then again he had been gone for a little while trying to hunt down Roxas. Not that it worked or anything.

“Are you looking for something?”

“Nope.”

Xaldin pulled out a canteen filled with liquor and swigged some of it giving a happy sigh. Demyx stared. Man, he thought only Xigbar did that.

“Would you like some, Demyx?”

“Uh…no thanks. Where’d you get that?”

“I stole it.”

“From who?”

“Some guy in Port Royale. Who’d you think I got it from?”

“Xigbar.”

Xaldin snorted, “He drinks whenever he gets permission.”

Demyx thought about it. How did you get permission from Xemnas to go drinking? Well…Xigbar was kind of hard to understand at times. Most of the time he spoke clearly with his own odd accent, but once he had booze flowing through his system he didn’t sound like he knew what his own name was.

“I didn’t know that…”

“Most don’t. Having fun doing laundry?”

“Yeah! It’s the only thing that doesn’t want to strangle me to death in this place.”

“Axel doesn’t want to strangle you, or that new kid. Rucksack or whatever.”

“Roxas. And yeah, but everyone else is kind of…mean to me.”

“Give me an example.”

“Marluxia tried to kill me this morning. Twice.”

“Well he wasn’t successful.”

“Oh, well I got Xemnas to step in…after I threw boiling coffee on him.”

Xaldin laughed and took another swig before hiding it back in his cloak, “You never cease to amuse me, Demyx. I’d stick around and watch you do laundry, but I need to go train.”

Demyx waved goodbye and sat back playing on his sitar again softly.

oOoOoOoOo

Roxas awoke from his slumber and rubbed at his head. He noticed that Demyx was gone but Axel was still there asleep like a log. Softly he got up and went out into the hallway to see if he could find Demyx. All he noticed was that someone had put a hole in the wall and seemingly dragged something sharp all the way down the wall. How weird.

He stretched as he walked around the halls curiously hoping to run into someone that would point out where he was going. His memory of what Xemnas had pointed out was already gone. Besides, everything looked the same to him.

He opened a door to only see that it was Larxene’s room. And uh…well let’s just say he walked in at the wrong time.

“Uhh, sorry!”

“You peeping tom!”

She went over and smacked him a good one before slamming her door on him.

Roxas rubbed his face and walked away hoping he didn’t run into another room like that. Slowly he found the end of the hall and found that every hall looked the same.

How annoying.

His mind tried to remember which direction to go. Hmm…maybe the left lead to the kitchen or something?

He went around peering through extra rooms and doors that all led to dead ends. As he ended the hallway he found he had gone the wrong way, and it was just a hallway filled with extra rooms. How dumb!

He sighed and turned around heading back when he saw a door leading downstairs. Oooh! He went on through poking about the place curiously finding that these rooms looked like torture chambers or something!

Sweet!

His fingers poked each door open to see that they were empty. He was hoping to find some poor sap that was all chained up or something. A deep sigh escaped him each time they were empty leading him to excitement to open the next door.

After he went down the whole hallway he noticed that these chambers were all empty.

Lame!

He crossed his arms over his chest and began to head back deciding he’d find something better to do. Maybe…find that kitchen. He was getting hungry.

A candle fell from its spot and landed in front of him. He jumped thinking it was something attacking him but found it was just some dumb candle. He picked it up and jammed it back into its holder when he saw vines around it. Curiously he poked them and watched the vine end carefully wrap around his finger.

“Huh…what a silly little plant!”

He pulled on it and it stayed attached to his finger, growing longer. It began to grow up his arm and twisted around his torso. Angrily he fought and screamed to get it off, biting the leaves off thinking it’d hurt the thing.

“You’re such a silly human,” Marluxia’s deep voice boomed from the dark.

Roxas looked around with a scared expression, “W-who is that??”

Marluxia laughed and stepped out watching his vines wrap around the boy into a tight bind, “Who else would be so kind as to keep you out of trouble?”

“I’m suffocating!”

“Good, good. Maybe sacrificing your pitiful life might send poor little Demyx into depression that he won’t be able to defend himself. And then I’ll kill him.”

“W-what? Aw come on, Marluxia, get over iii—“

Roxas gagged as the vine tightened around his neck.

“Shut your trap before I permanently end your oxygen supply. Now listen carefully, boy. I am going to give you specific instructions and you’ll follow them as I see fit. Got it?”

“N—nooo-“

Roxas gagged again before nodding his head, “Okay!!”

“Good boy. Now you see, Demyx loves you. But if you don’t return the feelings he’ll get upset. So what you have to do is push him away, got it?”

“W-why?”

“Because he’s getting away with things he shouldn’t.”

“But-“

“You’ll follow my orders, Roxas. You’ll dump him and find a different love interest, alright?”

“W-who?”

“I don’t care who you pick, but as long as Demyx sees you’re not interested in him anymore.”

“You’re a cruel b*****d, what he did doesn’t even matter that much!”

“Embarrassing me in front of the Superior does matter to me!”

Marluxia grabbed Roxas’ collar and pulled him close, “If you don’t obey my orders I’ll make sure that something horrible beyond your imagination happens to you, got it?”

Roxas nodded and grunted as he was thrown onto the ground harshly.

“Good boy. Now why don’t you go run and play?”

He disappeared, pink flower petals floated off of him. Roxas rubbed at his neck and frowned. So..he was supposed to forget Demyx? And if he didn’t…something really bad would happen.

Well now he was stuck in a really bad place….

Slowly he got up and sighed, moving to go to the kitchen area. Possibly he’d find it this time, not some angry princess on a rampage. Then again he never knew in this place…

After searching through many hallways he stopped to find the right place and went in gleefully. Xaldin was standing there looking rather calm and blissful while Xigbar was halfway on the table. He was plastered.

“H-hi.”

Oh great, he already sounded like he was scared for his life. Excellent way to impress people.

“Aren’t you Roxas?”

“Y-yeah!”

“What do you need? I hope you’re not hungover like Xigbar, here.”

The man lifted his head and groaned in agony as the light entered his one eye, “It burns, dude.”

Xaldin shook his head, “You didn’t see that coming? Everytime you go to Xemnas-“

“Yeah but…but…ah whatever, man.”

Xaldin snorted, “You’ll never learn.”

Roxas sat down at the table happily even though he was hungry, “I didn’t know you could go around and drink in this place!”

They both looked at him curiously, “You…can’t.”

Roxas frowned, “Oh…well you said-“

“Nah, sayin’ we drank and sayin’ we can do it here is different, kid,” Xigbar explained.

Roxas blinked, “How?”

“One…you do out of the building…the other you can do it in front of Xemnas and not be frowned upon.”

“Just frowned upon?”

“Well I’m sure he’d step in and do something about it.”

“Like what?”

The two men looked at each other pondering what kind of action would happen if they really did drink in front of Xemnas. The man really didn’t seem to care about anything. He’d just walk in, stare, mumble for people to do something productive, and then leave. He was way too involved in his own mind to think about anything past that. And if he did make them do anything it’d always be a chore. The guy was never one to punish people.

“Um…make us do dishes I suppose,” Xaldin muttered.

Xigbar blinked. Why hadn’t he figured this out before? He’d gladly drink in front of Xemnas if it meant all that would happen is he’d have to do dishes. Hell, he’d drink and do dishes at the same time!

“Kid…I wish I thought these things out like you…”

He slumped over the table again in hopes that the table would absorb his hangover so he wouldn’t have to deal with it.

“Um…thanks?”

Xaldin shook his head, “So, pup, you getting the hang of the Organization?”

“Kind of. Marluxia seems kind if insane and bitchy, and Larxene doesn’t like me at all. The only person I’ve really talked to is Xemnas and Demyx so far.”

“You have to be careful about Marluxia, he’s on his own page…”

Xigbar lifted his head, “And Larxene hates EVERYONE so don’ feel too bad, eh?”

Roxas smiled, “Oh okay!”

Hey these guys seemed pretty nice! That was when Luxord entered and stretched, “How’s everyone in here?”

He gave everyone a suspicious glance, “Wait…are you trying to get him to steal liquor?”

Xigbar snorted, “Nope. Though ahh…some booze to wake me up would be nice, dude.”

Xaldin rolled his eyes, “You have a hangover and you want beer?”

Xigbar gave a ridiculous smile, “There is nothin’ better than curin’ a hurtin’ mind with some booze!”

Everyone in the room sighed at how dumb Xigbar could be sometimes but they decided not to comment on it.

Luxord slapped Roxas’ shoulder, “So how’s your morning going, kid?”

“Uh…well…odd.”

“That’s good! We’d hate to keep things normal here.”

Roxas wondered what that meant…

A snarl came from behind them and their eyes moved to see Larxene standing there. She grabbed Roxas by his hair and gave it a small yank before moving over to get herself some breakfast.

“Owww…” he grumbled and rubbed his head while the others curiously wondered what the kid had done to deserve that.

“Stop your whining,” she snapped at him.

Roxas fell silent. There was no point in arguing with the b***h.

Soon the place started to fill up with the other members hungry for food. No one knew what time it was, but they all knew that they were hungry for something.

Roxas watched a lot of the faces look rather sleepy and tired trying to sip coffee to wake themselves up. It was kinda funny seeing people higher than him suffering from the morning call.

Everyone was dressed in their cloaks…except Saix. He came in sporting just his boxers and an extremely grumpy look. There was still blood on him from Demyx which made a few of the people look around curiously to find out what Saix had been doing in his sleep. Sometimes he was known to sleep walk, oddly enough. One time Xigbar even found him up top on the roof watching Kingdom Hearts…except with his eyes closed.

“Good morning, Saix!” Demyx said with a bubbly stupor.

Saix opened an eye to glare at him, but it only came out to be a painful wince.

“What’d you do to your chest, Saix?” Larxene questioned, but received no response from Saix.

The man only sat down and took a few sips of his coffee before he looked at what everyone was staring at. Oh, blood.

“Why don’t you ask Marluxia?”

It was the first thing he said to break the silence before he drank some more wondering whether it was worth eating today. Marluxia played with his straw as he was drinking some type of smoothie thing that smelled of strawberries. He perked up when he heard his name and he smiled, “I didn’t do anything.”

Saix glared, “Don’t act stupid, you stabbed Demyx.”

“What’s that have to do with blood all over your body?”

“Demyx was in bed with me because you scared him into my room.”

Luxord blinked, “Demyx was sleeping with you?”

Demyx shook his head, “No!!! That wasn’t what I was doing! I was hiding because Marluxia was coming at me with a freaking scythe and that ‘I’m going to murder you’ look on his face! And I couldn’t think of where to hide, so I just dived in his bed, and then he squished me and I bled all over him and his bed, but then Marluxia went away.”

The whole place went silent before Roxas snorted, “Wow, and all of that was this morning? I thought I was having a bad day…”

Saix started to wake up as the coffee worked its magic, “Get used to it.”

Marluxia rolled his eyes and drank away while the few members tried to comprehend why Marluxia was still mad at Demyx. The guy really knew how to hold a grudge…didn’t he?

Xemnas finally entered the room dressed neatly with a coffee cup in his hand. It said ‘Numba 1 Daddy-O’ on it for some reason, and had a few hearts on it.

He poured himself some coffee and added a few things in it because he wasn’t a freak like Saix and he’d never drink it black.

Slowly he moved to his chair and sat down before looking about at everyone. His eyes landed on Saix.

“Why aren’t you dressed?”

Saix shrugged while Xigbar decided to comment, “Come on, Xemnas, we all know you like Saix without his clothes on. He’s just doing you a favor!”

Saix glared but Xemnas just nodded, “Oh, I see.”

Did…that just not phase him?

WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS GUY?

Axel had his mouth open staring at Xemnas like he was insane. He just…accepted that blow as if it didn’t flaw his ego or anything.

God…that made him even sexier…

Larxene giggled before she decided to let in her own little blow, “Xemnas, I didn’t know you had favorites, won’t that ruin the Organization?”

Xemnas nodded, “I suppose you’re right.”

“And? What are you going to do about it?”

“Hmm..” Xemnas puzzled over the thought, “I guess I’ll make a rule.”

The members all looked at each other rather tedious that Larxene was forcing Xemnas to make rules for them.

“Oh, what will it be?”

“That everyone must wear clothes around me. Does that sound good, Xigbar?”

Xigbar, nursing his poor head, shook it violently, which only made things worse for him.

“Urk…Um, you didn’t specify what type of clothes. Technically Saix is wearin’ clothes, because he’s not naked over there.”

“Oh. Full attire, then.”

Axel had to get in his own piece, “What’s full attire? Could wearing some kinky chains and whips with lots of leather be considered full attire?”

Everyone stared at Axel.

Xigbar nodded, “He’s right, I’d count that getup as full.”

Xemnas didn’t look like he even comprehended what Axel had said, “Do you happen to own such things?”

Axel shrugged, “I could always get my hands on some.”

“Well…anyone else have something of such assortment to wear that might be considered ‘risky’?”

The group looked at each other before Xemnas nodded, “Well then…I don’t think I should have to specify what full attire is, considering none of you are into kinky clothing items.”

He went back to drinking.

Demyx and Roxas made eye contact. It was….funny that Xemnas would just…talk about this and NOT get embarrassed over it. Nothing ever phased this guy.

“So…how’s about that weather?”

Luxord broke the silence with his question.

“It’s supposed to rain today,” Xaldin grumbled, obviously being the one to actually read a paper. The others just relied on instincts to tell them the answers all the time. That, of course, never worked.

“It always rains here, don’t we ever get anything happy and gleeful? Jeez, the sun doesn’t even exist in this rotting hole of a world. I’m surprised we even talk about the weather. Rain rain rain, what else did you expect? An amazing apocalypse?”

Vexen went into a huge rant. He was definitely a grumpy person in the morning, and he absolutely hated talking to these people because they never brought up anything intelligible to discuss.

“Then what do you want to talk about?” Marluxia snarled, rather annoyed at Vexen’s bitching every morning.

“Oh I don’t know…what about how stupid you are for trying to demolish half the building this morning? That sounds like it should perk the interest of a few people around here. Considering it was EARLY this morning that you decided to go on your damn destroying fest!”

“Oh Christ, Vexen, get over it.”

“Get over it? Hah! Over my dead body! I’ll bug you about it until you explode into a bunch of petals and fluffy kittens.”

“I think I’d kill you first before I ever do such a thing.”

“Like to see you try, Barbie.”

“Barbie? I’m not even blonde!”

Xemnas continued to drink while the fight commenced between the two, he didn’t pay attention to one word that was going on. The other members, though, were watching the fight with interest. It wasn’t normal for Vexen to butt in as a challenger…especially against Marluxia.

Larxene had to jump in to Marluxia’s defense, “******** off, Vexen, if you weren’t busy playing with yourself all night you wouldn’t be so grumpy this morning! It’s called sleep!”

“Playing with myself? What kind of loon do you take me for?”

Larxene smiled, “A sick perverted one, I see how you look at the smaller kids that way.”

“WHAT? ABSURD!”

“Ahahaha, don’t get too upset, they’ll probably forgive you. The senile and old can’t help what they do.”

“You take that back, missy, I’m not THAT old!”

And now it was a whole new fight between Vexen and Larxene.

Saix sighed as they kept screaming and yelling at each other. Finally he couldn’t take it any longer and snarled at them all, the whole table falling silent.

“If you’re going to fight do it outside.”

Marluxia rolled his eyes, “Who made you the boss?”

Larxene giggled, “Remember, he’s the FAVORITE. The whore.”

“Yeah, you’re probably right, I must have slept with everyone here to get this high up. Oh wait, that sounds like something Marluxia would try to do. Is that plan even working?”

Marluxia glared, “That’s definitely NOT what I’m doing.”

Luxord nodded, “Of course not, he’d have to kiss the Superior’s a** to get higher than where he’s at right now.”

Marluxia elbowed Luxord angrily before looking over at Xemnas. The man was listening but didn’t seem perked at all by this talk.

Xigbar butted in, “How’d ya like that, Xemmy? Marluxia ravin’ up your leg like a dog in heat.”

Xemnas stared at Xigbar as if the man was speaking in some type of fascinating tongue, “I don’t know, I suppose I wouldn’t like it.”

“You suppose? You’re not sure?”

“Well I’ve never had that happen to me before-“

“Well you could always get Saix to do it for you to see if you like it,” Larxene interjected.

“I don’t think Saix wants to do that to my leg.”

Axel watched this go on. How the hell did he stay so calm? If it was him in that position he’d be ranting and bitching at all of them for even thinking of such things. Of course…looking at Saix…

The man looked rather pissy that the subject was even brought up. A lot of people said he was a suck up to Xemnas even if he didn’t do anything, but going this far…well…it was enough to put Saix in a bad mood.

“Of course he does, he’ll do anything you ask him to!”

Saix glared, “I would NOT.”

“You’d disobey orders?” Marluxia asked while Larxene snickered.

“I would.”

Xemnas frowned, “You’d disregard my orders? I find that rather insulting.”

Saix felt rather cheated, they practically set him up on this, “Well if you told me to get all over you I wouldn’t do it…”

“Why? Do you not like the Superior or something?” Larxene said with a sneering smile.

“No, that has nothing to do with it.”

“Then tell us, why don’t you want to get all over the Superior?”

“Because I’m not like that?”

“Like what?”

“Like Marluxia, that’s what.”

Marluxia glared, “I’m not a whore.”

“Yeah, I’m sure you’re not.”

Zexion groaned loudly, “WHY are we still bitching about this? Marluxia: KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS. Larxene: Calm the hell down and gets some Midol or something. And Saix: No one CARES how much you defend yourself, we’ll still think you’re sleeping with Xemnas. End of story, I’m leaving.”

Zexion got up and went off.

The rest just sat there dumbfounded at the burst of anger from such a small person. Larxene was glaring like hell, Marluxia was put off, and Saix wanted to stab someone.

“So…um…can I go, too?”

Roxas didn’t want to stick around anymore. This was…just too dramatic.

Xemnas nodded, “Sure.”

The blonde slid from his chair and went to roam again…utterly lost at why everyone here seemed to hate each other. He thought it was going to be one of those happy places where everyone banded together to kill all good. Man was he wrong.

He wound up finding his room and decided he’d just crash for awhile until Demyx and Axel were done eating.

Oh wait, he couldn’t be with Demyx or else Marluxia would do something to him…

Nyeh, what could the guy do anyway? Xemnas would step in…or at least Saix would.

Of course, he was completely underestimating Marluxia and his power….

oOoOoOoOo
OoOoOoOoO

Okies, so that chapter is done. Hoped you liked it. And once again sorry for not updating quick enough and not making it like…beyond amazing. I just have myself to blame for that. But I’ll try to get another chapter up sooner or later, no promises though.

Til next time!

Oh, and don’t forget to review!

Death Always Wins

PostPosted: Wed May 21, 2008 11:36 pm

Wow, at first Marluxia was sounding kinda hot as he attacked Demyx... but no...

Saix will always win. Was there some fan service in there I read?

Dare I say, I am jealous of Demyx for getting to be in that position with Saix? Lucky... little b*****d.

That was certainly one of the best chapters in this story! I just love the random bantering back and fourth between everyone as they ate breakfast. What a lovely family.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 19, 2008 6:50 pm

Axel had held back after breakfast since Xemnas was always the last one to leave. He liked to stay around to make sure everyone was clearly satisfied with their food or something odd like that. He noticed the kitchen was empty and he walked over to Xemnas’ side of the table, a smile coming across his face.

“Hi…Xemnas.”

Xemnas was finishing his coffee when he looked up at Axel curiously, “Hello?”

Axel took a seat where Xigbar once sat, hooking his legs under the table into Xemnas’ personal space. He leaned forward and smiled like a gleeful puppy.

“I was wondering if you’d like to go out some time with me, hmm? No one else has to know about it. And besides, if they ask we can make up something. What do you say?”

Xemnas put his mug down and gave Axel a blank stare, “Go out?”

“Um…yeah, like dating.”

“Dating?”

“Uhhh…”

God was the Superior clueless or what?

“It’s when two people go out and have a great time together in a romantic type of way?”

Not always romantic…but yeah, he’d like it to be that way.

Xemnas let his index finger trace the rim of his coffee mug wondering how to respond to Axel’s suggestion. He kept his eyes down on the mug before finally looking up at him with his resilient orange eyes.

“Didn’t we already have this discussion?”

Axel sagged, “Oh come on, Xemnas, don’t give me the boring speech. By the way, have I told you how nice your hair looks this morning? Turns me on if you know what I mean.”

Xemnas paused and touched his hair with his right hand before looking back at Axel, “I don’t think having a relationship is going to be good for the Organization.”

Axel sighed and rolled his eyes, “Do you think everyone is really going to make a big fuss about it?”

“It’s contradictory to—“

“To what? We don’t have a code!! We just make up rules on the spot to make ourselves feel like we’re organized. Come on, Xemnas, live a little.”

Xemnas stood up and set his mug in the sink, glancing up at the mirror to look at himself, “Axel…we do not have lives, therefore cannot ‘live a little’.”

And with that he moved on out of the kitchen. Once again Axel was rejected.

He got up from his spot and slammed his hand to his face…what the hell was he doing wrong with this whole thing? He commented on his hair this time, shouldn’t that have given him SOME bonus points???

He blinked and looked at where Xemnas had left. Third times a charm….

Axel dashed on out and looked at the split hallway seeing a foot round the corner. He went on down and quickly rounded it almost losing balance. Of course he saw Xemnas there talking to Marluxia.

“Good morning, Xemnas, I hope you had a wonderful breakfast.”

Xemnas nodded at Marluxia, “Same for you I suppose.”

“I hope that you don’t find me too much of a problem…”

“What has happened...has happened, I just hope that you’ll leave Demyx alone from now on.”

“Yes—“

“That reminds me, have you seen where Saix went?”

“I believe he went to his room.”

“Thank you.”

Xemnas began to walk off and Axel went to follow but Marluxia snatched him by his arm, “Hi, Axel.”

Axel gave him a confused look, so what did he do to make Marluxia angry? They both had their little agreement and were done with it. Besides, he hated being seen with him…especially alone.

“Hi?”

“Can you do me a little favor?”

Axel frowned, “I suppose it all depends on what you want me to do…”

Marluxia’s smile grew as he pulled Axel closer to him, “I know that you really like Xemnas—“

“Who told you that?”

“I’m not stupid, I have eyes. Now listen carefully, if you really want to have Xemnas you’ll have to do something for me. You see…Roxas has a little understanding that he’s not supposed to hang out with Demyx…”

“Um…why’s that?”

“Because I said I’d kill him if he did, got it?”

“Uh…wait wait, what’s this got to do with me?”

“Listen. I need you to play along with Roxas and pretend you like him and everything. You keep the boy away from Demyx and I’ll make sure Xemnas is head over heels for you.”

Axel looked at Marluxia’s secretive eyes as he contemplated the situation. For once he could finally get some action with Xemnas; on the other hand, he was risking hurting Demyx’ feelings in hopes of gaining some attention of his own.

Well…it wasn’t like he had ever really liked Demyx before. What could be so bad in treating him as he usually did?

“Alright, you got yourself a deal.”

Marluxia pulled away from him, “You won’t regret this.”

As they parted Axel wondered where Xemnas had gone. Nyeh, might as well just do what Marluxia said and worry about it later.

He moved off to Roxas’ room and let the door creak open slowly. There the blonde was half asleep in bed drooling on his pillow. God that was cute.

Slowly he moved on in and sat down on him, stretching so that his boney butt crushed into the kid’s ribs.

“Ow ow ow….”

“You’re awake! That’s good.”

“Yes….I was waiting for you and Demyx.” Roxas paused, “Oh wait…um…”

Axel smiled, “Marluxia?”

The boy gave him a scared look, “Did he tell you?”

“He said I should help you out if I ever want to get my hands on Xemnas.”

“Pah, how will he help you with that? It isn’t like Xemnas even knows he exists.”

“More him than me! I need all the help I can get. Besides…Demyx won’t take this too personally.”

“He won’t?”

“Nah, he’s pretty clueless.”

Roxas giggled, “Oh…yeah that’s true.”

Axel fell back and looked up at the ceiling, “So what would you like to do, sleeping beauty?”

Roxas shrugged as his fingers went out and played with some of Axel’s red hair, “I’m not sure what I’m allowed to do and what I’m not allowed to do. Xemnas kind of babbled but I wasn’t really listening.”

“Yeah that happens sometimes. I get lost in his eyes every time I see him.”

Their eyes connected, “I’ve never looked him in the eyes before…”

“Your eyes are rather nice.”

Roxas giggled, “Thanks, so are yours.”

“You think? I thought green was kind of a shitty color.”

“No, your eyes are amazing. I guess it’s because they stick out even with your red hair.”

Axel shrugged, “I don’t try to attract too much attention.”

“I don’t see why not…”

“You think I’m hot?”

“I’m normally not a person to think redheads are hot, but you’re definitely on my scale.”

“I’ve always had a thing for blondes.”

Roxas smiled seductively, “Oh? I bet you’d like a piece of this.”

“Hah, you want me more than I want you.”

“Oh really?”

“Ya…really.”

Roxas giggled and a mischievous smile spread across his face, “You know, I heard through the grapevine you’re a terrible kisser.”

Axel frowned, “Who told you that?”

“Oh…a few people that heard it from Marluxia.”

“What? Pssh, he doesn’t know what a good kiss is.”

“Hah! You’re freaking out, clearly it must be true!”

“It isn’t!”

“Have you kissed yourself?”

“No, I don’t think that’s possible.”

“Well then you wouldn’t know.”

Axel repositioned so he was towering over Roxas, “Would you like to test this theory?”

“Hell yes.”

Roxas and Axel pulled into each other and started to kiss. Roxas soon found out that…Axel wasn’t bad at all, in fact he was really good. Of course he had made up the whole story anyway, he just wanted to see how Axel would react. And Axel, of course, was enjoying this. It was true he absolutely loved blondes he just never thought he’d be trying to get down Roxas’ pants. There was always a first for everything though, wasn’t there?

Demyx was walking down the hallway bobbing his head to a small tune that he couldn’t get out of his thoughts. He wondered if Roxas knew the title to it?

But as soon as he opened the door he saw something he never wanted to see. Both of them were going at each other like rabid animals in heat. He felt his throat clamp up as his breathing had completely stopped. How could Roxas do that to him? Was he being played all along? God…who was he even kidding, why would anyone like him?

He turned and walked back the way he had came rather torn at the fact that Axel would betray him and steal his boyfriend.

Eugh, were they even going out? Probably not, so it didn’t matter. Roxas was a whore and Axel was desperate.

Demyx numbly kept walking before sitting down at the end of the hallway. His brain just fried itself. How could he have been so stupid to think that Roxas liked him? Dumb dumb dumb!

A shadow cast over him and he slowly looked up to see who it was.

Saix.

“Hi.”

“Something wrong?”

“Um…yeah a few things…you?”

“I’m fine.”

“You look angry.”

“Xemnas was speaking to me about something earlier. It’s not important.”

“Ah…”

“Are you going to sit there and look like you pissed yourself or are you going to get up and talk to me?”

Demyx looked at his pitiful little spot in the hallway before getting up and dusting his bottom off, “Yeah okay….”

Saix started to walk and Demyx followed him. Silently they moved into one of the lounging areas the castle held. Saix sat down on the couch and Demyx situated himself next to him.

“Alright, spill.”

Demyx looked about warily before nodding, “Well…I saw Axel and Roxas making out a few seconds ago.”

Saix raised an eyebrow, “That surprises you?”

“Yes! Roxas and I…well…okay we were. I’m not sure. Um. Anyway, I thought Axel wouldn’t do that!”

“It’s Axel.”

“But Roxas—“

“Is like Marluxia.”

Demyx frowned and slumped…how true.

Saix smiled, “You should stop feeling sorry for yourself.”

“Yeah…that is impossible.”

“Oh please, all you have to do is fight for what you want.”

“Well I can’t exactly turn into a beast and snarl at people and get what I want. I freaking create bubbles for a self defense! I’m so lame.”

Saix relaxed more into his spot, “You don’t try hard enough. Now let me help you get this straight in your mind, alright?”

“Okay…”

“If I say ‘Demyx, you’re worthless, you’ll amount to nothing’ how would you respond?”

“Yeah..you’re right. I totally suck at everything.”

“No, you’re supposed to fight me about it.”

“Taste my bubbles, b***h?”

Saix laughed, “No. I mean it, put some effort into this.”

Demyx thought about Axel and Roxas kissing again. Eugh that did make him ******** YOU!”

Saix frowned, “What?”

“Um…I was trying to be tough.”

“You look like you’re going to cry.”

“Do I? I don’t feel like crying…”

“Are you sure?”

“Y-yeah…I think?”

Saix shook his head, “You’re really upset, I can tell. Not to sound like everyone else, but you shouldn’t get too attached to people here. Then again, we don’t really have feelings, so I don’t see why you would react this way.”

Demyx looked at the ground pitifully, “I…don’t know why I am reacting like this….I guess it’s because I’m thinking too much about it.”

Saix stared at Demyx and his pouty lips and teary-filled eyes. He felt inclined to comfort him but wasn’t sure how he should best express that. Definitely not through a hug. Eck, only people like Marluxia would offer a hug…and a wandering hand down his pants.

Demyx turned to him and grabbed a hold of Saix, “Saix…why does everyone hate me?” He was now bawling, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Saix looked at IX curiously, “I don’t hate you. But if I had to say a reason as to why…I suppose I’d just say it’s because you’re too happy.”

“W-what?”

“You’re never in a bad mood unless someone makes fun of you, and even then you get over it. Perhaps that’s why people don’t like you?”

“They don’t like happiness?”

“Sounds like it.”

Demyx rubbed his cheek into Saix’ chest, “That’s…stupid. I hate this place…”

Saix continued to sit there wondering now what he should do. Rub his back? Yeah, that’s what people normally did when someone was upset, right?

He rubbed Demyx’ back slowly noticing that Demyx didn’t react like he was raping him. Well, that was a good sign.

“All they ever do is make fun of me…but…but you’re on my side, right? Aren’t you? So you’re not going to turn on me and start being a total a**, right?”

“I highly doubt I’d join them.”

“Good! Then that means we can be friends instead! Who needs them anyway?”

Wait…what had he gotten himself into?

“Shouldn’t you find friends your own age?”

Demyx glared, “Don’t start with me about that. Besides…you’re perfect! Rather comfortable, too.”

Saix stared at Demyx who was enjoying using him as a pillow. This was…not what he wanted. Why was he being tortured like this?

“But—“

“I SAID you’re my friend, GOT IT?”

Why did he even help the kid?

“Yeah okay. Well I have to go…”

“What do you mean?”

“It’s time for my daily nap.”

“But you just slept.”

“Yeah well I need to sleep more.”

“You’re kidding.”

“I’m not, I always sleep during the day. It’s a habit.”

“Why don’t I just join you?”

“You want to sleep with me?”

They fell silent. Terrible way to put it, Saix.

“Uh…I mean…”

“Yeah I know what you meant. And why not? I don’t move around that much.”

Awwwwkkkwwaaard.

“This is processing through my mind and it isn’t turning out very good.”

“Why’s that?”

“Do you know what everyone will think if you just sleep in my bed?”

“Nope! Never thought of it.”

Euh…maybe that was why he was made fun of…he never thought things through.

“They’ll probably think I’m ******** you.”

Demyx’ face gave a curious expression, “For sleeping in your bed?”

“With me, yeah.”

“I doubt that, the only person who’d want to bang me was Marluxia, and he’s basically satisfied that he finished me off.”

Saix watched Demyx’ expression change back to its sad and depressed look. He normally wasn’t fond of kids, but Demyx was an exception. This kid at least wasn’t a total idiot or an emo little freak. Yeah, Saix really didn’t like Zexion because he was always screaming at really random times, and Roxas was on his iffy list.

“Fine…fine, you can come with me.”

“Sweet!”

“Sweet? You make it sound like you’re going to an amusement park…”

Saix got up and started to head off to his room, Demyx tagging along behind him.

“Well I’ve only been in your room once!”

“You mean when you bled all over me?”

“Uh…yeah.”

“That was this morning, Demyx.”

“Yeah? I kinda forgot that. Today must be like…an apocalypse or something! Everything that normally doesn’t happen is starting to happen! Perhaps tomorrow it’ll all change?”

“Sounds delightful.”

Saix opened his door and went in. The place was really dark, as usual, and the place was somewhat messy. He hadn’t cleaned it since….um…when he first got into the Organization. Hopefully Demyx wasn’t allergic to dust.

Demyx closed the door and looked at the full affect of how dark it was, “Do you ever turn on your lights?”

“Only when I have to.”

Demyx giggled and skipped over to the window, peering out at the gloomy darkness that was their morning.

“Oh, today looks nice out!”

“Hmmph.”

Saix had already shed most of his clothes and was already in bed, curled up in the safety of his blankets. Demyx was too busy poking around and staring at everything to even bother getting in bed just yet.

“What’s this?”

Demyx poked something and it started to make clicky noises, “Oooh! That’s cool.”

Saix glared over at him, “It’s a toy. Now are you done?”

“Done? But—“

“Demyx…”

“Your room is entertaining! What’s this?”

Demyx picked up a notebook only to have it ripped out of his hands, “Would you stop touching things?”

“Oooh, it’s a journal, isn’t it?? I wonder what you write about!!”

“Absolutely nothing.”

“Nothing? Cool! Can I read it?”

“No.”

“Why not??”

“Because I said so?”

“That isn’t a good enough reason!”

“It is for me.”

Demyx reached his hand out to snatch it from Saix but he pulled it up high. He flailed and tried to grab it from his hands. Sadly Demyx was too short to grab it.

“Not fair! I can’t reach that!”

“Good, you don’t need to see it.”

Demyx pouted before smiling, “Oh okay! Well let’s just sleep then, huh?”

Saix frowned, “I’m not stupid, as soon as I fall asleep you’re going to try and look in it.”

Demyx giggled, “You think I’d do that? Nah!”

“…..”

Demyx shrugged, “Fine, be that way.”

He moved on over to the bed and sat down ready to shed off his boots and cloak. On his face was a peculiar smile that made Saix uneasy. What was he planning? It wasn’t like there was anything too personal in the notebook…hell he forgot what all was in it he hadn’t opened it in a long time. Slowly he popped open the first page and noticed that it wasn’t a notebook at all. Hell, it was a cover for some porn magazine he had. When the hell did he get this? Probably Xigbar’s…

Wait, that wasn’t a naked woman…

He frowned and wondered who had planted THIS in his room. It definitely wasn’t his.

“I’ll be right back.”

Demyx kept his smile on as Saix walked out of the room…only in his boxers once again.

Saix made his way to the Superior’s room getting some stares on his way. So what that he wasn’t dressed? He didn’t really like the cloaks that much anyway.

“Going somewhere special, Saix?” Xigbar commented as he whistled at Saix’ unclothed body.

“Hmm? Oh I’m seeing if Xemnas will find out who left this in my room.”

“What is it?”

“Porn.”

“Huh? What kind?”

Xigbar opened up the flap and made a disgusted face, “Holy butterbuckets, that’s probably Marluxia’s.”

“I was thinking that.”

“Why not just give it to him?”

“Because handing it to Xemnas to GIVE to Marluxia is something I’d enjoy.”

Xigbar blinked before smiling, “You’ll piss the Princess off that way….and I like it.”

Saix nodded and continued on his way to Xemnas’. As he knocked on the door of the Superior’s room he heard a soft mumble for him to come in. The door opened and he entered. The look Xemnas gave him was of a slightly confused expression unable to tell why Saix was there…and without clothes on.

“Is there something wrong?”

“Someone left this in my room,” Saix slapped the ‘notebook’ down in front of Xemnas. With a pencil he flipped it open slightly and saw some of the lovely pictures that were adorned in the magazine.

“What do you want me to do with this?”

“Play with yourself.”

“Excuse me?”

Saix smiled, “I don’t know, find out who owns it and give it back to them.”

“Why can’t you do that?”

“Well I could…but I’m busy sleeping.”

“You’re not asleep right now.”

“Oh but I am, it just looks like I’m awake.”

“How interesting.”

“’I know. Well, I better get back in bed before I wake up!”

“Right…”

“Oh, and I’m thinking that is Marluxia’s, so you might want to talk to him first.”

“Saix?”

“Yes?”

“Remember the rule we made this morning?”

“Which one?”

“That you need to wear clothes around me.”

“I’m clearly wearing clothes.”

“Well….put some more on next time you come and visit.”

“Why?”

“I suppose the others will complain if you don’t.”

“Hah, they were just pulling your leg, Xemnas, they don’t actually care about the rules.”

“They don’t? They sounded rather intent that we do something about your lack of wearing attire.”

Saix put his hands on his hips, “They’re only making it a big deal because they think that I’m trying to get your attention.”

“How would that get my attention?”

“My chiseled body doesn’t cause you to be instantly turned on?”

“Not that you’re not attractive, Saix, but no it doesn’t.”

Saix smiled, “Has anyone in the Organization ever made you feel like you’re in heat?”

“Like an animal?”

“Of course.”

“No.”

“Not even a little bit?”

“Not that I remember.”

“If you had to pick someone, who would it be?”

“That I’d just become instantly turned on about?”

“Yes.”

Xemnas blinked and thought that one over. Why did he have to pick?

“I suppose you?”

“Why’s that?”

“I don’t know, you didn’t say I had to have a reason.”

“Is it because I walk around without clothes on more often then anyone else?”

“Sure.”

Saix came closer and leaned over the desk, “Have you ever thought about Axel?”

Xemnas frowned, “Actually no.”

“Don’t like him?”

“He’s alright.”

“Something up? I think you’re angry at him.”

“He’s pursuing me.”

“Hah! Really?”

“Yes, I don’t understand why he thinks I’m a God or something, but he’s grueling over me every time he sees me.”

“That’s interesting. Maybe you should play around with him?”

“Play?”

“Yeah, lead him on and then crush his feelings by having some hooch as your boyfriend or girlfriend.”

“Hooch?”

“Yeah…um..anyone. You could pick Marluxia, that’d totally piss him off.”

“But Marluxia is not someone I would want to be with…especially when he looks at this type of reading material,” Xemnas held up the magazine and the fold out flipped open. Both men stared at it and turned their heads to the side.

“Yeah well…I’d help you, but I’m pretty sure Axel would b***h at me for a month about stealing ‘his man’.”

“But I’m not his.”

“Doesn’t mean he doesn’t think that!”

Xemnas frowned and set the magazine down, putting it back together so it looked like a notebook again, “Perhaps I’ll just tell him off.”

“That’s the spirit! Now I have to go—I’d hate to wake up in here wondering what I’m doing with you.”

“…Right.”

Saix waved and left the room heading back to his own place. As he went in he found Demyx halfway under his bed giggling at something. This couldn’t be good.

“Demyx?”

The boy jumped and slammed his head into a bar making a terrible groaning noise, “Ouuuuch….yes?”

“Why are you under my bed?”

“I’m just sitting here!”

Saix grabbed his scrawny little leg and pulled him out finding the kid trying to be innocent. He was still hiding something under the bed.

“What are you hiding?”

“N-nothing…heehee.”

“Oh yeah?”

Saix pulled him completely out from under and grabbed his hand….to find a half empty bottle of booze.

“Demyx! Where the hell—“

“Your fridge is well supplied!”

“You really do surprise me sometimes…I hope this is the only one you drank.”

Demyx laughed, “Actually it’s my second!” He then hiccupped and started to laugh more.

Demyx as a drunk was rather entertaining to say the least.

“Why don’t you lay in bed for a bit and wait for the silly effect to get over?”

“Okay!”

Demyx sprawled out while Saix went to rid of the alcohol. He paused in dumping it. A drink for himself couldn’t be too bad, would definitely make him sleep better.

His eyes looked to see if Demyx could see him. The boy was too busy talking to the ceiling. He drank the rest rather quickly, something that he probably shouldn’t do while Demyx was acting goofy, and set the bottle on the counter.

Saix moved out of the kitchen area and shoved Demyx to one side, crawling in once again ready for some sleep. Demyx crawled halfway on him with a goofy smile on his face.

“I feel awesome.”

“I’m sure you do.”

Demyx settled into Saix and smiled at him, “Will you make love to me?”

“What?”

“Will you make love to me?”

“Demyx…you’re out of your mind.”

“No…I’m serious…I really like you.”

“That doesn’t mean we should have sex.”

“Then let’s just kiss?”

“Demyx….no.”

“Please? I’m serious!”

Saix stared at Demyx. What happened to the giggly boy? Now Demyx was starting to get desperate and hormonal. This kid should never drink alcohol in public.

“How serious are you?”

Test to see how drunk he is.

“I’d sign my life away to it. I mean…after seeing Roxas and Axel together…I just know I’m not right for Roxas! They were having a great time! And I’ve been thinking….maybe I’d be better off with you? You’re the only person around who has been nice to me. I just thought…hey why not do it now? I’m not a virgin anymore or anything. And we’ve both have slept with Marluxia.”

“I haven’t—“

“Well you’re bound to. So we’re not going to catch anything. Not to mention we’re dead…so we can’t get upset over it since we have no feelings…”

“I can’t believe you’re contemplating this.”

“I WANT it really badly.”

“For how long?”

“Well..I’m not sure.”

Demyx reached over and touched Saix’ hair, “But…I would rather risk doing this than being lonely for the rest of my time here at the Organization castle…”

Saix sat up a bit and stared Demyx in the eyes, “You really want this?”

“Yes!”

Saix got up and went over to his door, turning the lock on the knob so no one would interrupt them. Hell why not have some fun? His finger flipped on the television to some horror movie with bloody screaming and such. Good way to set the mood.

“Why did you turn the tv on?”

“Because when I have sex—“ Saix moved closer to the bed, “I have a tendency to make my partners scream. This way it’ll drown out anything that comes from your mouth.”

Demyx frowned slightly and nodded, “Um…okay…anything else you should tell me?”

“I’ll try my best to not get too excited.”

“What happens if you do?”

“I go berserk, and I doubt you want me ******** you that hard.”

Demyx’ frown deepened, “Yeah…”

And…not far off Roxas and Axel were cuddling with each other on Roxas’ bed.

“You know what we should do?”

“Have sex?”

“What? Already? Axel, my god. Don’t you know how to take it slowly in a relationship?”

“What? Oh…sorry. Um. What would you like to do?”

It was then that a VERY loud scream seemed to emit itself from another room not too far from their own.

“Whoa…someone is having a good time.”

The screams seemed to lessen slightly but they both were curious as to what was going on. Together they went to the door and opened it up trying to find where it was coming from. They moved on down the hallway and paused at Saix’ door. It was coming from in there.

“Is that Demyx with Saix?” Roxas questioned softly rather upset that Demyx would ******** around with other guys. Then again…he just made out with Axel.

“I think so.”

They listened in by putting their ears to the door. The tv muffled some of the noise, but they could clearly hear Demyx’ painful noises.

“Gosh that sounds terrible…I wonder if Saix is berserking up his a** or something.”

“Oh no…that is clearly just soft playing. He’ll probably do that in a few minutes.”

“And why do you know this?”

“Um…because I’m not deaf? And Larxene’s lung power is so much louder than Demyx’.”

“Oh gosh, he knocked up Larxene?”

“Typical, isn’t it?”

“Is that why she acts like she has a cob up her a**?”

“No, it’s because Saix doesn’t like her. She used to be infatuated with him.”

Roxas nodded and they both fell silent when they thought they heard Demyx starting to panic.

“W-wait…wait Saix, you don’t want to do that—“

Another loud scream came from the door and both jumped back in fear of that scream. That sounded painful.

“Maybe we should…go?”

“Demyx is not going to be walking straight for weeks….”

Roxas nodded. He felt kind of cheated…maybe he’d discuss it with Demyx once he was feeling better?

oOoOoOoOoOo

They were in a meeting once again. The chairs were in a circle and some were softer than others. In fact…it wasn’t their normal meeting room because that one had chairs that moved heights…and hurt like a b***h. This was one of those ‘we’re too lazy to actually have a real meeting’ type meetings. In fact, no one looked like they cared to discuss anything that would be related to meetings.

Demyx came in looking like he was in severe pain. Everyone knew what happened so they just chuckled at his lovely situation.

“Not funny,” Demyx growled and tried to sit down in his chair.

“God, you screamed like there was no tomorrow this morning.”

“Shut up…”

Xemnas ahem’d and everyone turned their attention to him.

“What are we going to discuss today?”

“What about…how bad Demyx’ a** hurts?” Xigbar said and everyone laughed.

Xemnas gave a rather bored look, “Does that interest everyone?”

They all nodded but Demyx shook his head, “I don’t want to discuss why my body hurts.”

“Then maybe Saix would like to explain?” Luxord offered.

Saix shrugged, “What’s there to explain?”

Xemnas looked about at the group not exactly sure what was going on. He was a rather clueless character.

“I ******** Demyx, big whoop,” Saix said and everyone smiled.

“And how does Demyx feel about that?” Axel asked.

Demyx glared, “I feel glorious considering no one else would want to do that to me…”

Roxas sighed, “Well besides Marluxia.”

Marluxia glared, “Once is enough for me.”

Saix shrugged, “I don’t know, he screamed quite a bit…I have to give him credit. Made everything a bit more interesting.”

Xemnas stared at the whole group, “This is what you want to discuss?”

Larxene snorted, “I think this is stupid.”

“Oh just because no one wants up your cooch,” Vexen commented. She glared at him.

Zexion sat near the Superior utterly bored with this topic, “Didn’t we discuss this last time when Demyx was knocked up by Marluxia? Can’t we ever have exciting subjects?”

Xaldin snorted, “Yeah, why not talk about Zexion’s favorite book that he read for the millionth time this week? I’m sure we’d all love to hear you fawn over imaginary characters.”

Zexion pouted, “You don’t have to be MEAN to me!!”

Xemnas stared at Zexion, “Did that offend you?”

“Yes it does! This whole castle is filled with bastards!”

He crossed his arms over his chest and sat back grumpily.

Xemnas shook his head, “That wasn’t nice, I think you should apologize to Zexion.”

Xaldin smiled, “I’m sorry for being a big fat b*****d to you, Zexion, next time I’ll be sure to hold my tongue.”

Xigbar gave a big happy face, “Oh! Since we’re talking about sex and Zexion, when was the last time you got laid, kid? Is that why you’re upset? Xigbar baby is totally up to helping you out by finding a lady friend if you know what I mean.”

Zexion glared, “I don’t WANT your whores.”

“I think you’d have to force them to sleep with Zexion,” Lexaeus commented, “Who’d want a stuck up perfectionist touching them?”

Zexion gapped and looked at Xemnas, “Superior!! Are you going to let them talk to me like this??”

“Um…what do you want me to do?”

“Stop them!!!”

Roxas snorted, “Oh shove it, Zexion, Xemnas isn’t going to do anything to help you. Look at him, he’s clearly clueless on what we’re even talking about. I’m surprised he even knows what a p***s is.”

Everyone fell silent at that. Someone just…dissed the Superior. Not good.

“Excuse me?” Xemnas whipped his attention over to Roxas, his orange eyes flaring deviously. He would NOT tolerate this.

“Uh…”

“I think, Roxas, you don’t understand what this Organization is all about. You are either with us or against us. Now I suggest you stop and think next time you dare speak about me or there will be consequences beyond your imagination.”

Roxas shrunk slightly in his chair, “Okay…”

Axel smiled, “That…was a good speech, Xemnas…” He paused and sighed, “Everyone should learn from that! Instead of fighting with each other we should be getting along!”

Demyx rolled his eyes, “Oh go ******** yourself.”

Everyone laughed, “Don’t be so spiteful, Demyx,” Luxord commented.

Axel frowned, “Yeah, what did I do to you?”

“Nothing to me, you ‘did’ Roxas.”

Everyone laughed once again, “Whoa, Axel is getting some, too?”

Axel frowned, “Whoa, who ever gave you that idea is totally wrong. I haven’t done anything to Roxas.”

Demyx laughed, “Oh yeah, that’s why I caught you two in his room all over each other.”

Roxas glared, “What?”

Demyx sat up more, though he wished he hadn’t moved, “I’m not STUPID I clearly saw you two clawing at each other trying to get in each other’s pants!”

Xemnas watched this event unfold. He wasn’t going to defend Roxas, he already made him angry beyond words.

“That’s totally not what we were doing—“

“Yeah right! Your hormones were too busy raging to even notice that I opened the door!”

Axel frowned as Demyx and Roxas were screaming at each other, “So what if we were messing around? Don’t take it personal, kid, it’s all my fault.”

Demyx glared, “Yeah, you would betray a friend…you’ve done it before.”

Everyone watched as the fight started to get even better; the room was heating up as Axel was getting angry.

“Considering you don’t have friends I’m surprised you even know about how I treat my buddies. Then again, you do happen to hang around a lot because no one else wants you around.”

“Thanks, Axel, I’ll be sure to remember that one next time you ever need my help in putting out your damn fires.”

Axel smiled at him rather snarky. Roxas glared as all of this was going on before sighing, “This is stupid—“

Demyx glared, “What, that you were caught?”

“Me? You’re the one who ******** around with Saix! You can’t just blame me for going behind your back when you did the same to me!”

“There’s a total difference between what I did and what you did!”

“That you went all the way and we didn’t?”

“That ISN’T what I meant. You did yours by your own free will!”

“So you just bent over because Saix wanted some? God, what are you? Spineless?”

Demyx stood up then and a surge of scalding hot water rushed in and hit everyone. By the time the stinging waters had completely removed themselves from the area Demyx was nowhere to be seen. Xemnas fanned himself slightly as his clothes steamed hot water.

“That was intriguing.”

Axel pulled at his cloak wondering why Demyx had to always be the one to overreact to everything. It was…so typical and annoying. No wonder no one liked him. Ah, but he didn’t really want to completely ditch the kid. He had no one looking out for him besides Saix, and who knows what else Saix wanted besides sex.

Xigbar stood up and danced about in his spot, “Augh! My britches are steamin’ up everything! Superior, permission to declothe my lower area??”

“I suppose?”

Xigbar ripped off his pants and sighed happily, his legs were pink from the scalding water.

“Hoo-ee, almost didn’t make it there!”

Marluxia wrenched out water from his hair and looked at Xemnas, “Shall one of us go see where he went? I doubt you’d let him throw scalding water on you without some type of punishment. It was unnecessary to get everyone wet.”

Xemnas waved his hand, “Do whatever.”

Marluxia smiled and opened a portal; he slipped through it easily enough knowing exactly where Demyx would go. And boy did he have such a wonderful little surprise for him.

Roxas was pretty sure he had pissed himself, either that or everything was just burning. He felt like crying but wasn’t sure if he could even open his eyes for longer than five seconds. Even Axel looked surprised at how much force and power Demyx had used on them.

Once Marluxia had left Roxas really started to feel bad. He got up and grabbed Axel’s arm, “Come with me!”

Axel was pulled out of his seat and dragged through a portal to follow Roxas.

“What are we doing?”

“I…need to talk to Demyx…I feel terrible.”

“I feel like my butt is on fire, but that could just be me.”

“Axel, I’m serious!”

“I am, too!”

Roxas shook his head, “Okay, just…where would Demyx go that would be really obvious that we’d find him there?”

“Uh…probably someplace in Hallow Bastion, either that or Atlantica.”

Roxas shuddered at the thought of drowning himself in the waters of Atlantica. Especially since he’d have to sing. Well, not that he didn’t have a good singing voice, in fact his voice was rather amazing once he applied it correctly. In fact, he liked to sing about beautiful souls sometimes, considering hearts don’t exist in this place. Not that such previous information was even important, but sometimes Roxas needed a moment to be a bit egotistical.

“I feel like I just signed my own pants or something.”

“W-what? Now you’re not making any sense.”

“I dunno…have you ever felt like…you had a different life? And you met your previous life somehow, but it was in a really odd way?”

“…And you did that through signing your pants?”

“Yeah.”

“How do you even do that?”

“Um…well you take a marker and….oh nevermind! I don’t even know why I brought it up. Let’s go!”

The portal opened and they came out, Axel still not sure how one signed the pants of a previous life…

“Look, he left little puddle marks!”

“That might be Marluxia—“

“Nah, they’re in the shape of hearts, it has to be Demyx.”

“Huh…what…an odd ability.”

“It’s almost as weird as signing your own pants.”

“Oh lay off, it was a random brain death moment, okay?”

They rushed off to find Demyx sitting on the steps of a rather destroyed battlefield. He looked pitiful as usual, head hanging low with little clones in front of him mashing together into odd little objects for his own entertainment. As they came near the boy looked up at them without any hate or anger, just sadness.

“I really screwed things up. If you’re here to beat me up, go ahead. I won’t resist.”

“Nah, we’re here to see how you’re doing. That scalding water trick really surprised everyone!”

“Yeah? I’ll remember that.”

Roxas smiled slightly before bending down to face Demyx, “Look…I’m…totally sorry for cheating on you and everything. It really was my fault…I just…I don’t know what came over me. It’s been a really tough day, what with Marluxia trying to kill you and…and him trying to manipulate me into hating you.”

“Well…I was made to be the lonely one.”

“That’s not true. Demyx, I love you.”

Demyx looked at Roxas, “Really?”

“Yeah…I…just didn’t want you to get hurt by Marluxia. He said that he’d kill you or something if I even got near you. So…yeah.”

“Why didn’t you just tell me? I could have dealt with it.”

“Yeah, but that would require getting near you, and Marluxia would have flipped out and probably killed both of us.”

“Oh…yeah I guess you’re right.”

“Can we just put this behind us and make up?”

Demyx nodded. Roxas smiled and leaned in for a kiss. Their lips were but only a few centimeters away when Roxas gasped painfully as something sharp had gone right through his stomach.

Marluxia stood there with his scythe clear through Roxas’ abdomen, “I’m sorry, did I hear you betray me? I think that was a bad decision.”

He laughed and pulled back on his scythe watching it rip out Roxas’ insides.

Demyx turned awfully pale as he dived and supported Roxas, “Oh my God! Roxas! Are you alright?? What’d you do to him, Marluxia??”

Roxas gagged for air and started to cough. He was pretty sure that he wasn’t going to make it.

Axel stood there absolutely terrified at what had just happened. Roxas? Dead? No…that would…be too dramatic. Xemnas would flip s**t. Demyx would go into depressive mood swings, everyone would be after Marluxia…

He’d lose a friend.

“M-Marluxia…what…have you done?”

Marluxia smiled, “It’s alright, he’ll live…but one of you has to take him to the hospital before he completely bleeds to death.”

Demyx glared, “You monster!”

Marluxia laughed again, “One of you has to stay here with me…and die by my blade.”

Axel glared, “Are you saying that we don’t have a choice?”

“You don’t, I’ve made sure of it. So pick who gets to live and who gets to die.”

Demyx looked at Axel and then at Marluxia, “How can we even trust you?”

“Don’t trust me? Ah…well…then I guess you won’t trust Saix, either.”

Demyx frowned, “Saix?”

The blue-haired fiend came out, “That’s right.”

“What…what are you doing?”

“I’m keeping everything in line. Don’t think all three of you will get away…because that means I’ll have to kill all of you.”

“Why are you doing this?”

Saix smiled slightly, “Superior’s orders.”

Axel glared, “He..did not!”

Saix nodded, “He did. One of you is dying tonight.”

Roxas held onto Demyx, “J-just…let it be me…”

Demyx shook his head, “No no..I can’t let that happen…Stay silent, Roxas, you’re wasting energy! Just..hold on!”

Axel looked down at Demyx, “Just take him and get out of here, Demyx, I can handle this.”

“You’ll be killed…”

“Yeah…probably.”

“No..I…I’ll do it.”

Axel frowned, “Why? You’re the one in love with Roxas, there. Don’t you think you should live?”

Demyx set Roxas down and stood up, “I…well…no. I can’t sacrifice you just because I’m in love. I’ve got nothing to add to this Organization, just a new way to clean laundry. You’re at least helpful. And you’ll need Roxas! Let them kill me instead…”

“Demyx—“

Marluxia coughed, “Time’s slipping away…”

Axel and Demyx stared at each other for a bit before the redhead stooped down and scooped up Roxas, “If you’re sure—“

“I am…”

Axel looked at Saix and Marluxia with a slight glare before slipping through a portal.

Demyx turned to face Saix and Marluxia; both were towering over him.

“Make it quick?”

Marluxia smiled, “Oh I’d love to.”

He had raised his pristine scythe in the air, the sun gleaming from the bloody blade where it had previously struck Roxas. It came down through the air, the licking noise of it whipping through, ready to strike Demyx. He winced ready for impact, unsure of how hard Marluxia would get him.

But he heard metal hit metal first. As he opened one eye he found Saix with his claymore out against Marluxia’s blade.

“What are you doing, Saix??” Marluxia hissed as he pulled back, jumping a few feet away from the Luna Diviner.

“Did you really think I’d side with you in killing Demyx? That’s really low. Besides, the Superior would kill me if I let Demyx die. He’s got more potential than you lead to believe. I suggest you put your scythe away before I kill you myself.”

Marluxia snarled, “I should have known you’d backstab me.”

“You’re the one trying to kill an innocent kid just because he didn’t like sleeping with you.”

Marluxia sliced his scythe at Saix nicking his cheek, “I’ll be the judge of that.”

Demyx stumbled backward out of the way not sure what to do. Saix was against him, now with him…and Marluxia was spazzing and ready to kill.

They began to fight rather elaborately, up in the air, teleporting everywhere, breaking s**t to the point Demyx couldn’t find a place to stand for ten seconds without having rocks come zooming at him. The place was utterly destroyed before something rather odd happened.

A darkness seemed to practically envelope all of them for a few minutes before it all went away. Xemnas stood there looking like he was going to smack a b***h or something.

“Marluxia! I’ve had enough of your disobedience. You’ve been told numerous times to leave Demyx alone and yet you persist like a stupid mutt. I’ve had enough of your intolerable acts and cat fights with every member. The Organization doesn’t need you anymore.”

Marluxia frowned and backed up, “B-but Xemnas! It wasn’t my fault! I-It…it was Saix’ idea! Yes! And Axel is behind it, too! X-Xemnas!!”

He backed into the rock wall. Demyx had barely time to gasp at Marluxia’s stupid accusations when Xemnas took his weapons and completely destroyed Marluxia with one stroke…or at least it looked like one stroke to Demyx. He couldn’t even count that fast, let alone that high.

Marluxia slid to the ground and disappeared before them. Demyx gapped a few times before standing up and going over to see if possibly it was a magic trick.

“H-h-he’s…he’s dead….”

Xemnas brushed a piece of his hair out of the way, “Good riddance.”

Saix moved over to see if Demyx was all right, “Sorry for scaring you back there, I just had to pull the act off.”

“It’s okay…I really thought I was done for.”

Saix smiled, “No, not yet. Now why don’t you go find Axel and Roxas? I’m sure they’ll need your support.”

Demyx nodded and opened a portal, stumbling through it somewhat dumbfounded.

Saix watched the portal vanish into thin air before turning to Xemnas, a small smile spreading on his face, “That was rather enjoyable to watch. I was wondering how quickly you could kill someone.”

“You can’t exactly kill something that isn’t really alive.”

“Whatever.”

Xemnas let his eyes slide from where Marluxia had vanished to Saix, “Would you like to go for some coffee?”

“Sure.”

oOoOoOoOo

Demyx had entered the hospital slowly unsure of what to do. A large woman behind the desk looked down her glasses at him and raised an eyebrow, “May I help you?”

Her voice was rather loud and rich. It made him jump slightly, “U-uh…um…I was wondering…”

“Speak up and get over here, son, I can’t read minds.”

Demyx scooted over slowly and felt like a nervous wreck. Why was he so nervous? Ugh, he felt like he was going to piddle himself.

“My—“

No visitors unless family members? Ugh, good thing he read the signs before he got there!

“My brother! My brother is here, and he’s hurt…and I’d like to see him.”

“What’s his name?”

“Roxas.”

“Oh, the blonde with that cute redhead?”

“Uh…yeah.”

“Ha! All right, sugar, you can visit him. But you have to give me a little something to visit that ‘brother’ of yours.”

Demyx gulped. She had seen right through his nervous little lie.

“Like…what?”

“That redhead’s phone number, hmm?”

Demyx smiled, “Oh! Okay!”

Wow, he thought it’d be something hard. He quickly wrote it down and put Axel’s name on the card before giving it to her.

“There you go!”

She smiled and handed him a card, “That’s your ‘brother’s’ room.”

Demyx dashed off to the correct floor. He bobbed his head to the elevator music and watched as the guy beside him looked like he had taken too many pills. Demyx dashed through the hallways and finally arrived at the right door. He went in slowly and looked around as it was dim and poorly lit.

“R-Roxas?”

Someone practically jumped on him as he was standing there, “Demyx? You’re okay?”

The blinds opened wide and blinded Demyx for several minutes. He slowly opened his eyes to see Axel in front of him looking rather worried.

“Yeah, I’m fine…Saix helped me out and then Xemnas pwn’d the duel.”

“Pwn’d the duel?”

“Yeah…like…it was against Marluxia and him, and he just..sliced him and poof Marluxia twirled into nothingness.”

“Huh. Good way to term it I suppose.”

“Yeah. Is…Roxas…”

“He’s okay, not too hot. They’re doing all they can. We’re just going to have to sit and wait it out, though. The kid lost a lot of blood.”

“Ugh…I feel like I’m going to be sick.”

“Yeah, does it hurt to think about it?”

“Yeah! It’s…just…I don’t want to lose him.”

“I know what you mean. My butt stings like hell from your water trick and it makes me miss the fact that I probably no longer have flesh there.”

“Ew, Axel—“

“I’m joking with ya! Sit down and let’s talk.”

And so…they waited…

oOoOoOoOoOo

It was only a few hours later that Roxas had completely recovered. It was a good thing that he was a Nobody or else he probably would have died. Fast recoveries happened easier when you weren’t actually alive.

The three of them sat back in the meeting room which seemed to have that newly cleaned smell…as if someone had tried to make sure the place wouldn’t mold from Demyx’ water attack.

“So…Marluxia kicked the bucket and took his panties with him?” Xigbar asked curiously.

Xemnas nodded, “I’m not sure if he took his clothes with him, but clearly he’s not coming back.”

Xaldin rubbed at one of his sideburns, “What exactly happened?”

Demyx waved his arms, “Oh! You should have seen the battle!”

Saix interrupted, “Demyx completely obliterated him.”

Everyone frowned.

Vexen was the first to speak up, “You mean to tell me that a well respected member that was held as almost a second hand Superior was wiped off the face of the planets by a boy who collects tears as a hobby?”

Demyx played with his jar of tears before hiding it away, “I so do not collect tears as a hobby!”

Everyone stared at him before looking back at Xemnas.

“It seems Demyx is rather powerful…” Xemnas muttered playing along with Saix’ act.

“I’m not seeing the laundry boy actually destroying Marluxia,” Zexion remarked.

“He probably overwatered Marluxia’s plants and the man imploded,” Lexaeus mumbled.

The group shook their heads.

Xemnas shrugged, “It was quite the show!”

Xigbar smiled, “Eh? You were there watching him? Seein’ if he could pull it all off?”

“Oh yes…I was with Saix and we had a wonderful coffee break while watching the show. It was definitely worth the munny.”

Everyone looked over at Saix and smiled. They totally knew he was boinking the Superior.

“It’s not what you think—“

Zexion sighed, “Remember, Saix, no matter how much you deny it—“

“Yeah yeah…whatever. It was coffee, not a sex fiesta.”

Xemnas pulled out a coffee mug from who the hell knows where, this one said ‘Kingdom Hearts is my HOMIE’ in rather beautifully crafted letters, “I’ve never been to a sex fiesta before.”

Demyx smiled at Roxas as the conversation was back to normal at the castle. It seemed…that finally…they’d be able to be together forever.

oOoOoO—

Axel waved his arms a bit and panicked as he started to scream, “HEY wait a minute! Don’t I get to actually hit on Xemnas successfully??”

Well…considering Xemnas is totally holding down the sac with Saix—

“Holding down the sac? WHAT THE HELL? Half of these sayings don’t make sense!!”

Use your imagination on how dirty that one is. Anyway—

“Awwww…come on….you gave my phone number away to a FAT LADY!! Let me at least get a shot at Xemnas!!”

Fine fine.

“Woot!”

oOoOoOoOoOo

It was dark as night had finally taken over the grim day. The castle had fallen silent-besides in Saix’ room where the Bob Ross painting session was slowly buzzing on about trees and Demyx was strumming a soft tune while Roxas sang along. There was only one who was out in the hallways stooping low like a tiger ready for its prey. A red mane could be easily seen with the passing lights, and it was obvious to tell that it was Axel looming his way to Xemnas’ room.

He had hid behind walls and pretended to be a statue at one point when Xigbar had drunkenly passed by with Luxord supporting him. Their blindness to him was a total score for ninja skills.

He finally snuck around the corner and looked down the hallway to the elaborate door that encased his dazzling beauty.

Every step he took caused his body to tremor since he had no heart. It was probably a good thing he didn’t or else it would have been loud enough to wake everyone up. Even Kingdom Hearts would have complained about the noise.

His hand touched the doorknob and he turned it slowly, letting it open with a soft creak at one point. Xemnas was in bed looking completely and utterly relaxed. Axel slipped in and closed the door softly hoping not to wake Xemnas.

With tiptoe steps he came over to Xemnas’ bedside. The man was completely out of it. His eyes zoomed about the terrifying room that looked dark and deadly at night. All he had to do was successfully jump in bed and claim Xemnas as his and he’d be perfectly fine.

He pulled the covers back and slipped in, covering both of them back up. Success! He totally made it with—

“Axel, I heard you halfway down the hallway when you screamed ‘woot’ out loud to yourself.”

Damn.

“Uh…well…”

Xemnas turned his head and opened his eyes to the rather disappointed redhead. He sighed and pulled Axel close to him, “I suppose your gallant attempt in wooing me over with you in my bed is worthy enough to be recognized.”

Axel smiled, “Really? You’ll actually—“

“Why not? It isn’t like anyone else is in here, or will be for that matter.”

Axel felt his cocky side take over, “Well what can I say, I’ve totally claimed you as mine.”

“We’ll see about that.”

AND SO…with Marluxia out of sight and to never return, the Organization could at last rest completely. The predator, in its blind rage to kill its prey, had forgotten that in the circle of life…it was prey, too.
