Battlefield Randomizer! :O
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ICE FIELD! The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

'Woo, ice again...' Luna thinks to herself as the screen stopped at the ice field. She directed her attention to her opponent. "This will be a one on one casual battle, no substitutions, first pokemon to be knocked out loses. Is that okay?" She asked while taking her place at an icy pillar, navigating using her notsotrusty spear.
While waiting for confirmation, she unclipped a pokeball attacked to one of her leg straps and pressed the center button on it. It enlarged and let out a red beam of light which turned into Pidgeotto flying high into the air and circling the battlefield.

Silent Spy, going under his alias, half grinned as he tossed out his Pokeball.
Sea Maiden emerged from her Pokeball and slid on the slippery icy ground. This was a good battlefield for her, she was accustomed to these grounds. She used her fins to make friction and slow down her speed, causing her to stop and face her opponent.

The Seel looked up at the Pidgeotto flying in circles overhead. The opponent was too far to attack with a physical move, she needed to use her special powers. Concentrating hard on her opponent, she shot an Aurora Beam from her horn, aimed at the Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto, watch out!" Luna shouted.
Pidgeotto managed to react in time to veer to the right enough to avoid the attack freezing any of his wings, but his poor talons got hurt...again. Angry, it looked to Luna for a command.
"Okay, direct your anger into a twister attack! Tear up this terrain!"
Pidgeotto obliged, flapping its wings to cause strong gales of wind to run rampid all around the arena.

Sea Maiden felt her body lift off the ground from the strong gust of wind, doing a small flip as she rolled down to the ground on her back. She then pointed her horn at him once more and launched another Aurora Beam at the Pidgeotto.

Pidgeotto yelled as the beam hit his chest. Things were starting to get cold...
"Pidgeotto, go in for a wing attack!" Luna shouted, gambling the chance of a short ranged battle
Pidgeotto swooped in towards the seel, wing sharpened and ready to slice seal's blubber.

Sea Maiden rolled on her side, dodging the Pidgeotto's wing attack. Once she finished tumbling, she focused and launched out another Aurora Beam at the bird Pokemon.

Pidgeotto reluctantly turned around and went beak first into the attack, going in for another wing attack.

The Seel was struck by the Wing Attack. Realizing she needed to get more distance from the Pidgeotto, she then thrusted her body foward allowing her to slide across the ice. As she did so, she span around and launched an Ice Beam at the Pidgeotto.

Luna thought for a moment. Pidgeotto wasn't the most enthusiastic battler (yet), and she didn't want to risk him disobeying her. But maybe, just maybe, he might develop a fighting spirit if he found out how satysfying it was to endure attacks and attack back relentlessly.
"One more time! Let's crush their offense!" She shouted encouragingly to her pokemon."
Pidgeotto complied, knewing it was the only chance of winning. He broke through the ice attack again, some flight feathers getting frozen in the process, and yet again used wing attack.

The Sea Maiden dodged the attack and let out a bark. The battle seemed to being going well for her. She shot another Aurora Beam at the Pidgeotto, hoping for another hit.

Pidgeotto, to be honest, was sick of battling. And mad. Very mad. How could that NEW pokemon beat HIM? He recklessly charged into the attack, using something he never tried before. It stirred inside him and just felt...right.
"Brave bird...?" Luna said to herself, watching her Pidgeotto performing his new attack.
