Kale's breath came out even but heavy, as he made it to the lake's shore, with Romilda balanced upon his wide shoulder. Coming to a halt near a rather large and rotting tree trunk, Kale lifted Romilda up and placed her on a sturdy root. She almost reached his height; with the added inches from standing on the wooden arm.
He looked around, squinting when the light reflected off the lake and into his eyes. Wondering if Raina and Ascella were already off and flying without him, Kale huffed. He mounted his own broom comfortably and bent his knees, ready to launch himself up and become airborne. Before setting off, Kale's restless eyes roamed the horizon.

Jes was wandering the grounds while tugging at her favorite black thin ribbed jeep hat. Trying making sure her bright green hair was contained under it. 'Man this sucks. . .' Jes thought. Then she saw Kale and Romilda near by, she hoped they hadn't noticed her. ' Why did I come outside? This hair is embarassing enough!' Jes thought as she went to turn, and head back to the castle.

Kale's eyes caught sight of a familiar girl. Placing his broom against the tree, by Romilda's hand, Kale speed over the her.
'Is that...no. Wait, It is Jes.'
Once caught up with Jes, Kale lightly gripped her wrist and spun her around to face him. Both brows rose with interest as he noted a gleam of green peeking from beneath the odd hat.
"Jes, why are you so eage to run?" Kale voiced accusingly, but with a light heart.
His fingers twitched with the want to pull away Jes' cap. Instead, he clenched them into a fist.

Jes gasped when someone grasped her hand and spun her around. She was about to tell them off when she looked up into Kale's blue eyes. Jes's face began to burn, she could almost picture the deep shade of red creeping up her cheeks. She hesitated at his question. "Um. . . I'm kind of tired." She said unconvincingly. She noticed he was eying her hat suspiciously. She tugged at it again, making it almost cover her eyes.

The flush of Jes' cheeks made her look rosy with life, Kale couldn't help but think she was adorible in moments of embarassment. But suspicion coarsed through his veins when Jes spoke. She never was very good at lying, which was why he thought hufflepuff was perfect for her. She was fiercly loyal and true.
Blowing a stray strand from his face, Kale rolled his eyes skyward before looking back at his small friend. She shifted uncomfortably, tugging at her hat. Deciding to ease her worries and distract her from whatever she was fussing over, Kale invited her to join them.
"Come on Jes!" He pouted, "too tired for even one race around the grounds? I'll give you a headstart." He attempted to bring a smile to her face by clasping his hands together and making puppy eyes.

Jes couldn't help but smile at his adorible puppy dog eyes. 'That always gets me!' She thought while rolling her eyes. She looked at down at her shoes, and gave a little sigh. She brought her head back up to stare in his big blue puppy dog eyes.
"Okay, to where?" She said smirking at up him.

Giving Jes a rare, full grin, Kale slipped his hand into hers and brought her over to where Romilda and his broom were resting at. Wondering if the two girls knew eachother, Kale remembered his manners and made introductions.
"Romilda, this is Jes of Hufflepuff. Jes, this is Romilda, were housemates!" He keep it short and to the point. He wanted to test out his new broom already, and what better time than now, with two peoples company he throughly enjoyed.
Remounting the wooden shaft and hoping the girls got along well enough, Kale pushed off and hovered inches from the ground.
"Well, what are you two waiting for?!" Further goading them, Kale added, "I should have remembered girls were scared of heights..." Kale peered down at them, struggling to keep his facial expression as serious as possible.
Oh how Romilda would probably want to murder him, especially with his first stunt still fresh. He didn't even give her the chance to curse him into oblivion when he finally put her down.
Instead he just pranced off to retrieve Jes. Who seemed in the need for a good joke and a few playful remarks.

Romilda had been at a loss for words as Kale deposited her at the base of a tree and went running off to who knows where. But she saw him returning minutes later, accompanied by a small, familiar looking girl. As Kale introduced her, it suddenly came back to her. 'The girl from the train. . . I remember know.' Romilda raised an eyebrow at her vividly green hair, and mounted her broom. "Are you coming? I'm might need some help thinking up a jinx worthy of Kale," she said with an evil grin.

Kanita skipped out of the stiffling great hall, which was packed with students rushing to class. She took a deep breath, puffing her chest out in exaggeration. The crisp autumn air entered her lunges with chilling satisfaction.
Coming to a stop at the bank of the lake, Kani peeled her pinching shoes off. Discarding them, along with her robes, Kani felt much more comfortable. She dug her toes into the soft, cool sand.
The wind tugged at her many locks, almost as if urging her to join them in the sky. Smiling into the breeze, Kani gave into there request. She slid smoothly upon the broom, shifting her weight until balance was acheived.
"Beck?! You out here yet?" Kani called for her friend, peering around. She spotted another group of students a few yards away. They seemed ready for a bit of fun as well.

Jes smiled and mounted her own broom. [[that's randomly there? LoL xD]] "Of course!" Jes grinned as she rose into the air, she balanced her weight and got ready to fly. It was a wonderful day for flying. The cool autumn winds were waiting to be ridden.

Beck stumbled down the front steps of Hogwarts as she attempted to pull on a jacket and carry her broom simultaneously. Pausing for a moment, she yanked the arm not currently holding her broom through the arm of her jacket and tugged it rather viciously to get it situated. Putting on an article of clothing should not be that difficult! Resting her broom across her shoulders, Beck made her way to the lake where she could just see the form of her friend Kanita waiting for her.
Beck smiled slightly as she walked, reveling at the feel of the wind running its invisible fingers through her long hair. Autumn had always been her favorite time of year; the crisp, fallen leaves and the chilly breeze that scattered them two and fro in whirlwinds of color never failed to bring memories of a happy childhood to Beck's thoughts, memories of the happy years when her family had still been whole. Closing her eyes, she mourned the loss of her close-knit family for a short moment before pulling herself back to reality. There was no sense in dwelling on the past when it could not be changed.
Just as she approached the edge of the lake where Kanita stood, she heard her friend call out to her. Deciding to be silly, Beck quietly slipped off her shoes and crept up behind her friend, her bare feet making no noise in the soft sand. Noticing Kani's attention turn to the other groups of students out for some afternoon flying, Beck took the opportunity to glomp her friend from behind, letting out a yell of attack even as a huge grin spread across her face.
((Hope you guys don't mind us joining in. We had been talking about flying in another thread and noticed you lovely people doing the same so we came over here. ^^

Jumping with a squeal, Kanita twisted around, coming face to face with Beckett. Her heart was hammering against her ribcage, beating a mile a minute.
Trying to hide her surprise quickly, Kani brushed a stray leaf from her hair. When she chanced a peak at Beck, and saw the Gryffindor deviously grinning, Kani knew she was caught. No way did Beck not notice Kani's fluster. Still, she struggled with her facial muscles in a bad attempt to disguise her amusement.
Why was it that they wouldn't obey her brain at times like this?
Giving up, Kani allowed her lips to form a lopsided smile. Playfully kicking a mound of sand at her friend's ankles, Kani's enthusiasm bubbled into chiming laughter.
"Beck," she managed to utter out when the laughs subsided, "you'll pay for that one! It's war now, you know!" Kani willed her broom up, her feet the last to lift off the ground. She wriggled her toes and the sand crystals drifted back onto the shore.
Of course, now Kani would have to be on the look out for when Beck was distracted or daydreaming. She needed to return the glorious favor of scarring Beck witless.
((dont worry Ele, I already pmed..Kale..and he responded that it was more than fine. I should have mentioned it in my previous post!! My fault.))

"Bring it on!" Beck replied with a laugh, mounting her broom and kicking off just slightly so that her feet could still touch the ground. Brushing the sand off her feet, she reached down and grabbed her shoes, pulling them back on her feet as she balanced with ease on her broom.
Once settled, Beckett turned her gaze to Kanita and grinned. "I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get better acquainted with those lovely, fluffy clouds up there." She gestured at the whispy clouds that were strewn across the sky, idly being moved about by the wind. It really was a rather lovely day to be flying.
((Well, nevermind then. lol))

"Oh you read my mind!" Kani shouted as the wind blew her voice back towards her.
Tilting her head back and taking in the irresistale sky, Kani flew to Becks side. Pulling her eyebrow up, she challenged Beck.
"Race you to the butterfly shaped cloud." Kani suggested, knowing fully that it would be impossible to reach.
((Sorry it's short, I've got a huge headache...a nap shoudl rid me of it))
