The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE WATER FIELD! TFive large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool, four forming a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it was mainly built for water-types. Rules prevent the freezing of the water.

Luna pulls in Jannette, talking animately on the way. "I can't believe we meet again!" She says happily. "Albireo's been itching for a rematch."
When they get to the stadium, she is overjoyed that it's a water arena. Then, looking at Venna with a sorry expression, said "Ouch, that must stink for you..."
Luna plopped down at one of the platforms and waited for Kuro to go to the other side of the field. "This will be a one on one battle, no substitutions, first person to be knocked out loses. Ready?"
Albireo immediately popped out of the pokeball by himself, now having mastered the art of escaping the pokeball. He dived into the water and waited for the vulpix he battled before to come out.

Jenette giggled along the way, "Yeah Venna has a keeper on her now, poor thing got hit pretty hard by Albireo last time." Nodding she released the pokemon from her ball. "You hear that V? That darn seel wants a rematch!" She giggled again.
Later in the stadium Jenette huffed. Well.. this wasn't going to be as easy as last time. "Well Venna, let's give this a try."
The pokemon was already on the land part of the water arena and seemed rather upset by all the water. This was going to be tough...

"Albireo's pretty patched up too, but his fur's already regrown and the scars are mostly covered. Okay Albireo, let's start this out with a new move! Let's soak that vulpix! Surf!"
Albireo barked. He dived down into the water a little bit, then jumped out suddenly and whacked its tail on the water hard, causing a mass tidal wave to be launced at the vulpix.

Jenette's eyes, and Venna's as well grew large as the tidal wave came crashing over the fox pokemon.
Soon the sopping wet pokemon was clawing her way back onto the platform. Ick! Water!!
"Venna! Hit that seel with a quick attack before it gets too deep!" She shouted, knowing this match was going to be a tough one.
Venna growned mentally but began running on the platform. When she got to the edge she jumped, aimed at the seel underwater.

Albireo was surprised when Venna landed on his back, but then immediately rolled over to press the vulpix below him.
"Okay! Let's try Aqua Jet, air submission form!" Luna ordered. The two seemed to have practiced since the last match.
Albireo immediately released a jet of water that flung its body up into the air. And then, performing great aerobatics while still in the air, it maneuvered its slick body to be heading horn-first into the water and Venna.

Venna squeeled under water and was soon shooting for the surface for breath. As she caught a breath she squirmed ontot he platform, waiting for orders.
Jenette winced slightly. "Poor thing..." she muttered. "Come on Venna! Burn that fish with your Flamethrower while it's up in the air!" She commanded.
Venna nodded and readied herself. "VUUULLLPIX!" The fire then went stringing through the air towards the airborne seel.

Albireo avoided the attack with ease as he was already in the water before the flamethrower was launched.
"Super tidal wave! Aqua tail surf!"
Albireo jumped up again, quickly this time so Venna wouldn't get a chance to hit him, and then, with his glowing blue tail, slammed the force of Aqua tail into the water to create an even larger surf attack.

Venna didn't need to be told this time what to do. She ran for the edge and dove in, missing hte wave that would have smashed her.
"Try a quick attack in the water again Venna!" She said as she saw the fox surface for air.
Venna dove down again, hopefully she could hit that darn seel that was so slippery!

Albireo once again ended up giving the vuplix a piggyback ride, but rolled over just in time before any direct damage could be done.
"Aqua tail!"
He quickly maneuvered away in the water, his home turf, leaving the vulpix open and prone to attacks. Then he come up from under with his tail ready to swipe at vulpix's neck.

Being slapped around in the water wasn't exactly her cup of tea. After being knocked about Venna finally clawed her way back onto the platform. That one hurt!
"Shrug it off Venna! And sting that seel with your hottest flamethrower!" She shouted.
Venna nodded and pin pointed the seel's exact location. Sending a fire stream through the water was going to be hard, but it'd make the water boil! Soon the flame was licking though the water like butter.

"Albireo, under tactic!" Luna shouted.
Albireo immediately disappeared to the very very bottom of the arena, right near Venna's platform. He barely ducked in time to miss the large flamethrower attack. Then, backing up a few feet, he rammed full speed into the pillar in an attempt to break it and knock Venna back into the water.

In the middle of her attack she was blasted into the water. How, she didn't quite know but she was gurgling for air again.
"Jenette, dive and try a quick attack! That seems to work best!" Jenette called down as she hoped her friend would be alright after this battle.
The fox took one last deep breath and dove into the water, using her tails she spun them quickly to gain momentum.

"Let's finish this off! Aqua tail!"
When Venna made contact with Albireo, she hit one of his old wounds which caused him double the pain. He then, out of instict, attempted to hit vulpix with his tail attack.
