The kits of Setsumi and Darkfeather had grown, they were no longer as helpless as they had been, although still dependant on their parents as they were still kits. But their eyes were open and they were starting to explore their world. Little Cloudfeather was proving to be a daddy's girl, for the crested male was sleeping on the couch, paws draped over the edge.... while Cloudfeather was draped on him, and snoozing away as well. It was rather cute actually, the little kit half hidden underneath Darkfeather's crest.
Since Darkfeather had come to this world, he had nothing to do... nothing to live for... now all of that has changed. He had a purpose, a mate and children to protect. He was actually... happy and content. Nothing could replace his human friend, but atleast now... he wasn't miserable.

As the grey's of the family were resting, the two purple females had decided to go into the kitchen of HQ. Setsumi padded softly on the hardwood floor, with Miulani trailing daintly gehind her. The mother could only grin as the child kept her tails perked, unwilling to let them drag on the floor. "So Miu, what should we eat today? Hmm?" Green eyes peered into the doorway of the kitchen, finding no one around.
Tiny ears lifted when the girl heard her name, her maw forming a little 'o'. Options to eat? "Hmmm, well I don't know." The girl dipped under and through her mother's feet to look for food. On the edge of the counter, she spotted yello fruit. "Oh, how about those!" What were they called again?

As comfortable as it was, the sleeping Cloudfeather was starting to slide off her father... and eventually dropped. Thankfully.. she was quickly caught by her father's paw. The little girl's eyes wide as she was no suddenly awake. Good thing Darkfeather had quick reflexes! That would have hurt if she'd hit the floor. Setting his daughter down, the male got up and stretched, eventually realizing that Setsumi and Miulani were not there. Hm.
"Lets good find your mother and sister" he told Cloudfeather before jumping off the couch and heading for the door. "Okay!" Cloudfeather bounding after him and then latching onto one of his tails to be dragged along on her paws. Whee! 8D

Setsumi looked down to her daughter before peering up at the fruit. "You want bananas?" Stretching up to her hinds, the female grabbed the bunch with her teeth. Their were also a variety of nuts and some peaches set to the side. She backed up and dropped back down, tearing off one banana for Miulani. "Remember to peel it, alright." Making sure the young one did it properly, she turned her attention to the fridge. Now for drinks.
"I can't believe it, give them five minutes alone and poof. They gone." Terasu continued to mumble to himself as he climbed the porch to HQ, pushing aside the door. His nose wriggled quickly, catching the scent filling the room. Feathers, something he wasn't used to. Giving a sigh, the male entered the mainroom, tilting his head as to which scent trail to follow.

Pulling Cloud down the hall, Darkfeather looked in each room as he went. He had memorized Setsumi and Miulani's scent and kept following it, although making sure to check the rooms... just incase. Eventually he came up to the kitchen, still pulling Cloud. "Bananas?" he asked, watching Miulani eat the fruit. He didn't have a taste for fruits or veggies and was surprised that his daughter did.
Letting go of her dad's tail, Cloud bounded over to her sister to give her a good pounce and a gnawing of the ear. Nomnom.

A smile lifted as Setsumi heard Darkfeather's voice. So, sleeping beauty decided to wake up? Dragging the cups of milk and water from the fridge, Setsumi placed them out of spilling distance from the kits. Then she moved to sit beside Dark, rubbing against his side. "Yes, bananas." Miulani continued to gum away at the soft food, even as her sister pounced her. Though she did fidget to keep her tails from getting crunched. D8
The sounds of activity in the kitchen was Terasu's first target. Besides, it was the closest. But even as he trotted down the hall, the familiar smell of feathers turned unique. Only then did he remember his mother's promise of eggs, and the chance that they were now hatched. His stomach churned, feeling bad to have missed that event. Hesitantly, he peeked into the kitchen, ears drooping to the sight.

Hm... well he supposed the bananas were good for little kits still growing in their teeth. But still...blech... fruit. Darkfeather was tempted to take a look in the fridge himself.. there was likely something tastey there... but then Setsumi sat next to him, and he nuzzled her.
Cloudfeather was disappointed at the lack of responce she got from her sister and frowned. Huff. But then... she looked at those bright fluffy tails... hm. She started to gnaw on one of them instead. Rarnomnom.
Darkfeather then noticed a figure in the doorway and smirked slightly, "You're eldest is here" he said to his mate.

"AAAGG!" Miulani bolted upright, the banana all forgotten. Teeth chomped down on her own sister's ear, harsh to defend her tails. No no no! She had just groomed them, and now the gloss was being salivaed away. D; Her paws went to tossle over Cloud's own crest feathers.
Setsumi tilted her head to glance around Dark and his announcement. There was Terasu. With a soft smile, she stood and approached her only son, nuzzling his cheek. She wanted to see his reaction, how he'd speak it...
So...the eggs had hatched. And if this was all of them, he now had two younger sisters. On one hand, he was thankful there was no other son to compete with, so to say. On the other...these were half-blood and sudden sibling. Nothing for the boy to normally concern over, just that he was....awkward for this situation. Enough for him to stop complaining of where his own young had run off to. Giving a sheepish grin, he just sat back beside his mother, watching the others for the first time.

Cloudfeather was greatly amused at her sister's reaction, but she was not the diva her sister was.. more a tomboy. Thus when she tried to ruffle at her feathers and bite her ear, Cloud didn't care in the slightest and just ignred her.... while continuing to nom at her tails. However, what did get her attention was Terasu.. and she looked up, letting go finally. "Hey... he's as ugly as you" she said to her sister, teasing of course... but knowing she wouldn't like that. It was then that Cloud trotted over to peer curiously at her big brother.
Darkfeather remained where he was, smirking at the kit's antics and then watching mother and son. Perhaps the next time, Terasu would have a brother.

Miulani fidgeted away from her sister, eyes watery and doey. "That's...." D; When Cloud finally pulled away from her attack, the purple girl crouched to hide behind daddy's wings. Why did her sister have to be so mean? Her attention turned back to her tails, sadly moving to fix their kinks.
Eyetwitch. Ugly, huh? Green eyes looked down to the inspecting youth. "Yeah, and you're just a runt." He placed a paw on her messy head to prove his point. This was just too odd for him. Placing his paw back to the ground, Terasu tossed the parents a smile. "Congrats, more rugrats." Perhaps it would get easier as they grew older. Maybe.

Darkfeather peeked behind him as Miulani hid behind his wings. She smirked a bit, wagging a tail at her, "Don't let it bother you, she doesn't really mean it." It was true, he could see through Cloud's tactics, trying to be tough and such when she really did care. She was.. a lot like him admittedly.
Cloudfeather erked at Terasu's paw, "So?" she said back, sticking her tongue out at him. She would grow! Eventually! Unlike Edward, the runt comments didn't bother her, "Atleast I don't look like a peacock." Yeah.

That mean sissy ruining her tails. D; Miulani blinked when she noticed the tails flap in front of her, peeking up to daddy. Kit lips pouted out but she nodded all the same. Why did her sister have to get all the tough genetics? Oh well, now where was her banana? o.o Ears perked forward when she noticed her sister talking to another kitsu. But that one looked almost like mommy!
Terasu tossed an amused glance to his mother before looking back down to the sister. His face twitched tightly at the bird comment. What?!? With paw clenching itself, he grinned to the kit. "Is that so?" Smack. A light bonk to the back of her head was enough to point out that he was the older sibling. "And what would your name be, runt?"

Darkfeather picked up Miulani's banana and gave it back to her, "What's so great about bananas, anyway?" he asked, mildly curious as to why a daughter of his, would want to eat fruit. But he was also amused at the interaction between Cloud and Terasu.
"OW!" she complained as she was bonked on the head, glaring up at her brother. The fact that he was bigger didn't seem to affect her any. But she found a word that annoyed him! "Cloudfeather" she muttered, "What's your name -peacock-?" Yeah. Take that.

With a renewed smile, Miulani took the fruit from her daddy's bigger paws. She popped it in her mouth, just like a bottle, before tilting her head. Mmmrr? Daddy didn't like bananas? Chewing the small bit in her mouth, Miu shrugged. "Cause it's soft and yummy." Besides, she didn't like gnawing on hard stuff. Small eyes turned to glance at the other feathered family.
Cloudfeather. Green eyes pointed up to the father, remembering the 'feather' in his name also. Interesting. With a sigh, Terasu lifted his paw once more and bonked the sister in the head. This was the process, till she learned. Like expressing terms of endearment....only harsher. "It's Terasu." Being that young, he remembered. It was just so awkward now, to have baby sisters at his stage of life. How would they take to each other, with such an age and childhood difference?

Darkfeather smirked, well he supposed those were good reasons. To think that one of his daughters ended up being a dainty priss, ah well. Perhaps that came from Setsumi's side of the family.
Cloudfeather just huffed at the second whack to her head, making a face at Terasu. "Terasu huh? Well I guess that's better than peacock." She eyed her half brother, before shrugging and flopping on the floor.. now bored.
